The parents of social media star Qandeel Baloch, have been forced to vacate their house in Multan due to extreme poverty.
Fauzia Azeem, aka Qandeel Baloch, was allegedly strangulated by her brother in in the name of killing in July 2016.
Speaking to The Express Tribune, Qandeel’s father, Muhammad Azeem said that since the death of his daughter, the family were unable to pay house rent which was previously taken care of by Qandeel.
Apparently, Qandeel was the sole breadwinner of the family and took care of the responsibilities including food. Four years ago, Qandeel’s family moved to Multan from Dera Ghazi Khan after she rented a house in Multan. However, since she is no more, her parents can’t afford the rent and have been forced to move out. They have decided to move back to their ancestral home in Dera Ghazi Khan.
“My daughter was the only financial supporter for us. She not only supported us but also her brother who killed her,” said Qandeel’s father.
It comes as no surprise that talk shows often take the other way turning into a war where celebrities are often found leaving the show when they do not have sufficient statements to justify their point. It was recently that two of the prominent yet controversial female celebrities were invited in the talk show on Samaa and one of them could not resist the heat and preferred to leave. Qandeel Baloch’s murder mystery has been solved in less than 24 hours. The parents of the model and singer already told the media that her brother killed her because he considered her as a threat to family’s honour but the brother was missing so there were many theories circulating in the media. Qandeel Baloch’s brother has confessed to the crime when he was caught by the police. This video in which he confesses to the crime indicates that he is not remorseful. He said that he gave Qandeel sleeping pills and then he strangled her. He also said that it has been 2 days since he murdered her. In this brief video when the reporter asked him if he was ashamed of what he had done, he very confidently told them that he wasn’t because he was a Baloch.
Sadly, in most such cases the murderers think that they have done the right thing by killing a woman of their family, same is the case here.

In this other video he also says that after Qandeel Baloch was involved in Mufti Qavi controversy she got more coverage from the media which caused more problems for his family. The police officer present there also confirmed that this was the main reason. The criminal refused to accept that there was any other reason involved in this murder.
Talking to Express Tribune, the Lux Style Awards (LSA) Talent Manager Maaz Ghazi revealed that the day before the shocking news of Qandeel Baloch’s murder, he had approached her to perform in a comedy skit at the LSA 2016 ceremony, which will take place on July 29.
Maaz Ghazi revealed that he tried calling her several times on July 15 but she didn’t respond. “Then she called back around 9 pm and I told her that we want her to become a part of the show.”
She was asked to perform in the opening act alongside Ali Zafar, who will be hosting the ceremony.“It was not a dance or singing performance. It was a short humorous skit that we had prepared.”
“She had agreed but the very next morning we heard about her death.”
The LSA will take place on July 29. The ceremony will be hosted by Ali Zafar and Ayesha Omer. Ali Zafar just confirmed that he is also recording his first ever Qawwali which will be played in the memory of Amjad Sabri at the 15th LSA 2016.
Previously in the Qandeel Baloch murder case the hearing was adjourned on Mufti Qavi’s counsel’s request who stated that he needed more time to work on his arguments.
Earlier this week on Monday the police told court that Qandeel Baloch was in fact murdered at the house of one of Mufti Qavi’s close friend.
During a hearing of the murder case at the Multan district and sessions court, the investigation officer sought time to submit the charge-sheet. Judge Ameer Muhammad Khan gave him until November 20 for submitting the final charge-sheet.
Qandeel’s father (Azeem) still holds that his daughter was murdered on Qavi’s orders and that he offered him (Qandeel’s father) money to drop the case. In the court he said:
“I will never forgive Mufti Abdul Qavi and want Qandeel’s murderers to be brought to justice,”
Qandeel was strangled to death by her brother Muhammad Waseem and cousin Haq Nawaz in the name of ‘honour’ in July last year, weeks after posting selfies with Qavi on social media.
Waseem, who had confessed to his crime, was produced in the court along with Nawaz on Monday. Azeem, Qandeel’s father, was also present during the hearing.
The police declared Qavi as a suspect in the case at the request of Azeem and he was arrested last week after a court rejected an extension to his pre-arrest bail. Tho Qavi maintains that he is innocent.
The investigating officer requested the magistrate for a two-day extension in the cleric’s remand, saying the police was awaiting results of Qavi’s polygraph test which would determine the direction of further investigation. The magistrate was granted the request.

Qandeel Baloch also said that she registered a complaint with FIA because her passport and identity card was being shown freely on social media. She said,
“No one has the right to show my legal documents on social media like this. Who are these people who are after me? I want to find out.”

Q-Mobile the largest selling mobile brand in Pakistan, has signed further contracts with Pakistani cricketers as brand ambassadors for their different models. Q-Mobile Pakistan has signed Indian artist Kareena Kapoor as their new brand ambassador. Shooting of television commercial will be done in Thailand. The drama features the story of a young girl Nimmo who sees dreams which turn into reality. Her latest dream that turned into the reality was marrying a mentally challenged boy Abaan.
Today, the last episode of the drama serial Pyari Nimmo aired on Har Pal Geo. Fans loved the happy ending of the drama. They liked the performance of Hira Khan. Talking to the digital media channel Click News, Pyari Maryam’s Father opened up about his daughter. Talking about it, he said, “She was my first daughter. After her, I had two sons and another daughter. She was the only one with short height, and although I often used to get worried about her height but she never felt so. She always said, ‘I will do what sons can’t do for you,’ and she proved it. Also, after her marriage, my son-in-law Ahsan stood by me through thick and thin, whenever we wanted to meet Maryam, he would bring her to us.”
He further added, “She was confident and strong. She worked at MH and quit the job herself. She was a graduate; I don’t know much about her education and work, but she often told me about her courses and other achievements. She took care of her younger siblings and earned for them more than I did. We don’t allow girls to come on social media but she had a discussion with me before coming on social media. She said, ‘You will never hear that I have let you down.’ She was a content and happy soul.”
Talking about her death, her father said, “I don’t think she died because of the evil eye. Yes, it exists, but Allah has fixed the time of death, and no one can live beyond it. She was a happy soul. She only used to worry about special people. It was her wish that the government should take care of disabled or special persons. She was not feeling well after giving birth to her boys, but when we reached hospital, we heard of her death. I thank Ahsan for allowing me to hold the funeral at my home. As per Humayun after the tremendous success of PA, he is challenged by the viewers to produce an even better drama then PA.
It does not come as a surprise at all that the play Pyare Afzal was a clear winner in the Lux Style Awards 2015 that were held last night. The entire team of Pyare Afzal got the recognition and appreciation from the people and the judges which they deserved.
Pyare Afzal was awarded the best drama award, the actor Hamza Ali Abbasi who played the lead role in the drama got the best actor award, Ayeza Khan got the best actress award for her role in Pyare Afzal. Nadeem Baig won the best director award for the drama and Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar bagged the best writer award.

I love one thing about Pyarai Afzal; The characters of the show are etched out so perfectly and flawlessly that sometimes we forget that we are watching a drama and not a real life scene. From chamkeeli sisters, Farah and Lubna, to simple Arifa and pyarai Afzal; every character speaks for itself effortlessly. This show has the power that compel viewers to glue to their television screens till the last scene.No matter how much stressed you are, you will forget everything once you will become part of Pyarai Afzal’s world.
Afzal always dreamt about Farah;For him, Farah is that earnest yearning of his life which seems almost impossible for him to get accomplished. He always underestimated himself in front of her because deep inside, he knows that his past overshadows every good aspect of him.But when Lubna gave him 2 lacs per month offer along with having an affair with Farah for four months,he was out of his senses.He was not shocked to know that he will be a “lakh pati” soon,but he heard something that he never expected.
Despite of imagining Farah all the time,how can he believe what he just heard ? To have an affair with a girl about whom he dreams always, what else one can expect from him except fainting on the spot.The shock didn’t end at just fainting – aftermaths of it were yet to be followed. Afzal’s shivering sequence was too intense and it was clearly depicting his state. I loved everything about the part from his sheer shivering state to his thoughts equipped with Farah in his life in whatever way. I must say in any show, love in its purest form was described at its best today. Superb homework!
Lubna expected that Afzal won’t be giving any response after knowing the scenario and explained everything to Lubna like a teacher that what should her response be when a certain question will be asked from her by her parents. For every possible question, she gave her a lesson and asked her to go to her parents but wait.. ! Lubna got a call from Afzal and he accepted their offer with open heart. It was so cute to hear how purely Afzal is taking this fake relationship whereas Lubna was taking it to the materialistic side.
Everything went against their plan and Farah,being confused and unable to handle the situation utteredAfzal’s name. Wesay, according to me, if Lubna was put in such kind of situation than she could have handled the situation intelligently and cleverly unlike Farah who had nothing to say.
The letter mystry is still not openly revealed but my prediction says that its Afzal who is writing these letters to himself. I am liking everything about the show and really looking forward to the next episode.

So, 20 episodes down and Farah is still unaware of the fact that she loves Afzal;Or maybe she knows but hesitating in confessing it infront of everyone. Whatever the reason maybe, I started watching this show with a note that tonight, this love thingee should be confessed by Farah. And I am glad that they put a step ahead of what Farah thinks and feels for Afzal now. Because despite of that fun element and strong dialogues, from last couple of episodes, I was thinking that they are dragging this show and they should let Farah disclose that she is in love with Afzal.
Today, we saw more of concern from Maulvi Saheb for his son. Now, at this point, we all know that not only Maulvi Saheb but Afzal’s whole family is extremely worried for Afzal and loves him to the fullest. So, I think that concern scenes should now be ended and they should find something else to show whenever they think to show Afzal’s family.
Another thing that I pondered upon today was that “Bhaie” part where everyone called him “Afzal Bhaie, Afzal Bhaie” and Afzal took it so seriously. I mean, I know that it feels awkward when no one talks to you and soon after an incident everyone start paying regards to you. But why they have to highlight that word “bhaie” in that ? Are we living in such society where “bhaie” is taken in terms of an underworld don rather than an “actual bhaie” ? Bhaie ko bhaie he rehnay dou bhaie..
Moving on to Farah and Lubna, Farah se zyada pagal khatoon mai ne aaj tak nahi dekhi; She is so much confused about what she thinks and what she speaks. On her visit to psychiatrist, she was not even sure what she spoke about earlier and what she should tell to him.By the way, as soon as I saw Vasay Chaudry in psychiatrist role, I smelled something funny in forthcoming scenes but he proved himself that he is not better with comedy roles only but is good when it comes to act serious too.
Farah’s father was so right that sole reason of Farah not telling her mother about her feelings is the communication gap between her and Farah. Its duty of mothers that they should create such atmosphere at home where daughters feel close to them. I have seen many cases where daughters are so close to their mothers that even it’s so hard to guess whether they are mother-daughter or friends and I am glad that I am among those types.. :)
Immediately after seeing Sohai Ali Abro in the serial, I guessed that she will definitely be liking Afzal in next episodes and that is what exactly happened.Its the time when Afzal should give her a signal that he is not at all interested in her “pink lipstick” but in her “chicken ginger”..
Only scene that gave a new turn to the story was the discussion between Farah and Lubna. Farah was not ready to confess her love for Afzal and Lubna was not ready to accept that Farah is telling her the truth. And as soon as Farah went to Lubna to clarify herself again, Lubna asked for permission that if Farah is not in love with Afzal than permit her to marry Afzal.. Uss k baad kya tha..aik zor daar thappar jis ke goonj sab ne suni..
As far as I can predict, that was a stunt performed brilliantly by Lubna just to let Farah accept that she wants Afzal in her life. Another thing that can be guessed is that she was seriously asking Farah for her marriage to Afzal.What do you think ? I would love to read your feedback.
