This show is getting more interesting by the week. The pace of this show and the screen space to the additional tracks can get a bit annoying though. I have gotten used to its pace, but the additional tracks seriously get on my nerves. Why do they get so much screen space anyways? I do not want to watch the fights between Ahsan and Samina. I have seen enough of them to last a lifetime.

What makes me watch this show week after week is the chemistry between Haaniyah, and Ahmed and their scenes are only thing I look forward to in this show. Their relationship is slowly developing and we finally got to see some differences in Haaniyah’s attitude towards Ahmed too in this episode.

Ahmed was very happy to see Haaniyah cooking for her ‘kheer pakai’ rasm. The way he innocently came in the kitchen and immediately tried to taste what Haaniyah had cooked was extremely adorable. He was told off by Haaniyah in a very wifely manner. And then Ahad had to come and ruin the atmosphere by announcing that Haaniyah had made everything that he likes.

For the first time Haaniyah initiated conversation with Ahmed when she tried to explain why she had cooked everything that Ahad likes because apparently those were the only dishes she knew how to cook. She looked so innocent when she asked him ‘Ap Naraz To Nahi Hai’ and Ahmed had a huge smile on his face because Haaniyah had spoken to him properly for the first time. I am glad that Ahmed is not so narrow-minded, and he understands situations easily. He did not even react when he saw Ahad’scall on Haaniyah’s phone even though he caught her lying to him. I love everything about Ahmed’s character. Fahad Mustafa has done a fabulous job as Ahmed!

The ‘Ji’ scene was another extremely cute scene. Ahmed is fed up of Haaniyah replying him with ‘Ji’ all the time.This scene cracked me up! The constant ‘Ji’ from Haaniyah literally made Ahmed roll his eyes. It would need a bit more time for Haaniyah to open up to Ahmed completely. Ahmed needs to wait for a bit more to hear full sentences from her in reply! All the Haaniyah-Ahmed scenes were beautifully directed and enacted by the actors!

Ahad had the guts to face Haaniyah’s family when they came to his house for Haaniyah’s kheer pakai rasm! He still does not think that he has done anything wrong and faced everyone without an ounce of guilt. Haaniyah’s family had a hard time controlling their emotions towards him though.

Ahad again managed to gain sympathy from his family when he had an accident. His mother started pampering him all over again and even his father softened when he heard the news of his accident. Ahmed has always been supportive towards Ahad even after he left Haaniyah at the altar; he never got angry at him or blamed him for anything. Ahad is the one who cannot deal with the situation and blames his brother for marrying Haaniyah.

Haaniyah really needs to make up her mind already! When she heard about Ahad’s accident, she got extremely disturbed but after her conversation with her mother, she realized that she hates Ahad and should not cry for him. Haaniyah, you really need to stop thinking about Ahad and move on already!

Well, I am glad that the story is finally moving now and we are getting to see some interesting scenes. I really hope we get to see less of Ahad, Samina, Ahsan, Zaheer and Afshah and more scenes between Haaniyah and Ahmed.

I do not understand one thing; why is Ahsan living with someone like Samina. He sure has some patience to deal with her!

I did not find the episode boring at all this week because we got to see some really nice scenes between Ahmed and Haaniyah; which I had been looking forward to since day 1!

Ahmed is continuously trying to interact with Haaniyah to make her feel comfortable. He is trying his best to make conversation so that there is no awkwardness between them. Even after getting Haaniyah’s reply as ‘ji’, ‘haan’, and quite a lot of nods; he still did not give up! That’s the spirit Ahmed!

There were a few scenes that I simply loved in this episode. The way Ahmed innocently asked Haaniyah, ‘Main Bhar Jaraha Hoon, Chala Jaon?’ was extremely adorable. Even Haaniyah was surprised and couldn’t help but smile at his question. They both formally exchanged mobile numbers, and it seemed to me like they were two strangers who just met for the first time! Well, technically they really are strangers.

I felt that Haaniyah is finally adjusting to the situation and warming up to Ahmed in this episode. She can see that he is trying to make an effort and in some time, she will also make an effort to get to know him. Then came the awkward phone call from Ahmed to Haaniyah where he did not know what to say except ‘Tumhe Kuch Chahiye To Nahi?’ and even though Haaniyah was in no mood to go out for dinner, she did not refuse him when he told her to get ready. At least Haaniyah is not pushing him away now!

Just when Haaniyah was slowly warming up to Ahmed, Ahad had to come in between. Ahad is unable to come to terms with this new situation, and is making the situation awkward for Haaniyah too. His constant phone calls made her upset, and when she finally picked up his call he started taunting her and saying words like ‘Tum Sirf Meri Ho’. How disgusting! I am glad Haaniyah gave him a reality check and clearly told him that she was his brother’s wife now.

Even when Ahmed saw Ahad’s call on Haaniyah’s phone and realized she was lying to him about who she was talking to, he did not say a word. He did get a bit surprised and upset to see his call on her phone, but he thought that it was better to be quiet about it. I loved the fact that he did not misunderstand Haaniyah. Any other person would have gotten furious in such a situation, but Ahmed was mature enough to understand the situation.

Ahad’s parents finally took some action and asked Ahad to join the office. The main motive behind this step was to keep him away from the house, and Haaniyah as much as possible. Ahad’s parents knew very well that Ahad will not accept the situation so easily, and will make Haaniyah’s life miserable! I have a strong feeling that Ahad will take some drastic step since he is frustrated with the situation. I hope he does not make things worse for Haaniyah than they already are.

‘Iski Kiya Zarurat thi?’

‘Saamne Nazar Aye To Tumhara Khayal Aya’

This was another one of my favorite scenes in the episode where Ahmed brings flowers for Haaniyah and she blushes and shyly takes them from him. Ahmed’s awkwardness and Haaniyah’s shyness was nicely portrayed by both Fahad Mustafa and Soniya Hussain. I also loved the background music played during this scene; it added another level to the scene. During the restaurant scene, Haaniyah was upset because of Ahad’s phone call and she again became cold towards Ahmed. I am waiting for the time when she will initiate conversation with him!

The constant fights between Samina and Ahsan is making both Ahsan and Samina’s family worried. Samina wants to go back to her house, but this time her mother tells her not to come back. She was worried about Samina, and she shared her worries with Zaheer who also had the same opinion that Samina should stay at her in-laws. I completely agree with Humeira (Ahsan’s mother) that Afshah is mature enough to handle her house and also deal with her strict mother-in-law, unlike Samina who fights over petty matters.

It does not seem like Ahad is going to leave Haaniyah alone and he might even start creating problems for Haaniyah and Ahmed now. He is getting more and more jealous by the day. I hope the story focuses more on Ahmed and Haaniyah; I really need a break from Ahad now!

After watching this show for 7 weeks, I have come to the conclusion that this show is not going to become fast paced. It was very slow in the beginning, but now gradually it is progressing at a steady pace. The story is getting more focused now and this episode mainly revolved around three characters; Haaniyah, Ahmed and Ahad.

The sad part is that Ahad does not feel even a bit guilty, and he actually had the audacity to put the blame on Haaniyah for not waiting for him. The flashback scene was brilliantly executed, and I am glad it was shown as it gave more insight to what kind of a rapport Ahad and Haaniyah shared. I simply loved Haaniyah’s jovial and talkative kind of nature which is a stark contrast from what she has become now; serious and quiet. Ahad has managed to break the spirit of Haaniyah who once used to be full of life.

We also got to know why Haaniyah is so cold towards Ahmed and why she is not able to adjust to the new situation. She thinks that Ahmed has made a huge sacrifice for her and this seems like a huge burden to live with.

‘Mein Thoopi Gaee Hoon Un Per’, this is what Haaniyah said to her mother when she asked the reason behind her cold behavior towards Ahmed. Haaniyah knows that he has married her just to save her and his family’s reputation, and this hurts her self-respect. What she does not know yet is that Ahmed has whole heartedly accepted her and intends to keep her happy. She just needs to give him a chance!

Ahad is now trying to contact Haaniyah so that he can get answers to his questions and blame her for being unfaithful to him. After Haaniyah ignored his calls, he misbehaved with Haaniyah and they had a pretty intense scene. Technically, Haaniyah should be the one blaming him for leaving her but the case was the other way round. Haaniyah has been very calm so far but she lost all control when he accused her, and her reaction was fierce. Ahmed has faith in Ahad that he would respect Haaniyah as she is his wife now, but I do not think Ahad has plans to leave Haaniyah alone anytime soon. Soniya performed well in this scene, though she did go a bit overboard. Shehzaad had the same expression throughout the scene once again; he really needs to work on his expressions.

Of course, Samina cannot be left out in any episode and she did get her share of screen space in this episode; though not as much as before. Her haughty attitude is just unbearable! Ahsan really has a lot of patience to withstand her intolerable attitude. Zaheer and Afshah’s scenes are still more bearable and I do not mind watching their scenes. Zaheer and Afshah is an ideal couple who understand each other; they are poles apart from Ahsan and Samina. But I still fail to understand the reason behind the focus on the problems they are facing in their house. Sidetracks can get really annoying at times!

The scene where Ahmed sees Haaniyah hurt and lovingly puts medicine on her wounds was the best scene in the episode for me. For the first time, Haaniyah let him care for her and did not try to keep distance from him. She was moved by his concern for her and could not help but realize what a caring person he is. One brother gives the wound while the other brother heals it! Their chemistry in this scene was just superb!

The story is finally moving forward and we can now see an understanding developing between Ahmed and Haaniyah. I am looking forward to see more of their scenes in the upcoming episodes.

The preview of the next episode shows that Ahad is not ready to leave Haaniyah alone. Let’s see how Haaniyah deals with him!

This week the story of the show progressed a bit further and we got to see some interesting scenes in the episode. The main highlight of the show was Ahad’s return, and how he reacted to the news of Haaniyah’s marriage to Ahmed. I would have preferred if his entry would have been a bit delayed so that we could see some progress in Ahmed and Haaniyah’s relationship before he re-entered their lives.

Ahad returned with no sense of remorse for abandoning Haaniyah one day before the wedding. He got a good tongue lashing from his father along with a slap that he truly deserved, but as expected it had no effect on him. In his opinion, he had the right to make his life’s decision and he did not want to be forced to get married when he was not ready.

Haaniyah and Ahmed are now in an extremely awkward situation and Haaniyah is still not able to accept that Ahmed is a part of her life now. She pushes him back whenever he tries to make the situation less awkward between them. The situation is not easy for Ahmed to accept either, but he is trying his best to come to terms with it.

‘Tum Aankhein Band Kerke Is Baat Se Moun Nahi Mour Sakhti Ke Ab Hume Saath Rehna Hai’

Haaniyah is trying her best to ignore Ahmed, but for how long? She would need to accept the situation one day or the other. I really felt bad for Ahmed in the scene where he tries to wipe Haaniyah’s tears and she moves back. Despite of her behavior, he is being extremely patient and understanding and this is one thing I really like about him.

Ahad was in for a huge shock when he got to know about Ahmed and Haaniyah’s wedding. He looked at everyone like they had committed a huge crime! And I was glad that his mother finally gave him a piece of her mind. I loved the scene where she taunted him on his face that why he cares who Haaniyah gets married to since he already left her without a second thought! Shehzad sheikh really needs to work on his expressions; he had the same expression on his face when he was surprised, shocked and angry.

What annoyed me the most was Haaniyah’s reaction when Ahad came back; she was all happy and her whole face lit up until she remembered that she was now married to his brother. Technically, she should hate him for what he had done to her, but it seems that she is still incapable of showing such an emotion.

Samina is not going to change her ways anytime soon and I agree with Zaheer (Samina’s brother) that she has turned like this because of all the support she gets from her mother. He even tried to explain to his mother to leave her alone and let her get settled in her own life, but she took it in the wrong way and blamed Afshah for brainwashing his son. I have always liked the patient and understanding nature of Afshah and I like the fact that she always uses a practical approach to deal with all her problems.

Haaniyah’s parents were shown extremely worried about her future and were impatiently waiting for her to come at their house to see if she was okay. Haaniyah has always had a very strong bond with her father, and I loved the flashbacks they showed in this episode. She has not spoken much after her wedding but she finally opened up in front of her father and shared her feelings with him. Her father consoled her and gave her the assurance that time will make you adjust with the situation. I am pretty sure time is what Ahmed and Haaniyah’s relationship needs right now.

They are still using Humsafar’s back ground music in many scenes and I cannot seem to concentrate on the scene whenever it plays in the background! The show has a nice OST which can be used in the background; I wish they would use it!

From the next episode, the concentration would be on Ahmed and Haaniyah’s relationship hopefully, and I am really looking forward to that.

So the wedding finally happened this week. That was sure a long wait for the viewers who had been waiting for the wedding since the past 4 episodes. Once again I found the episode a bit dragged with the whole wedding and the never ending rituals.

Till the last minute, Haaniyah was waiting for Ahad to come back. She might have agreed to marry Ahmed, but she is not going to forget Ahad anytime soon. It is going to take a long time for her to adjust to this new situation. Ahmed and Haaniyah both were feeling awkward in each other’s company as it was clearly seen during the wedding and in their bedroom later on. Though Ahmed did try to act normal but Haaniyah barely looked at him and tried her best to maintain distance. I personally would have preferred if they had shown some interaction between Ahmed and Haaniyah when Haaniyah was about to get married to Ahad. I was expecting the scene from the promo to be shown where Ahmed asks Haaniyah to find a bride for her, but the scene was most probably edited out. I could barely relate with their scenes because I did not know what equation they shared with each other before marriage.

I was also expecting to see the ring scene from the promo, but that too was not shown. After seeing how uncomfortable Haaniyah was, Ahmed decided not to give her the wedding ring just now. I hope he gives her the ring in the future when Haaniyah has come to terms with the situation.

They also showed people’s reaction when they saw Ahmed in place of Ahad on the stage and the two families reluctance to answer their questions. I am glad they showed these scenes because it would have been completely illogical for people not to notice such a big change. That would have been a huge loophole in the story.

There were two scenes which I really liked in this episode. First was the one in which Ahmed gives Haaniyah his hand to help her out of the car. The second was the one in which he feed her kheer to do the rasam. Soniya Hussain did not have many dialogues in this episode but she still managed to convey her feelings well through her expressions in some scenes. In other scenes, she had that stoned expression with the resigned look on her face. She looked absolutely lovely in the wedding dress she had adorned. Even Fahad Mustafa did a wonderful job as Ahmed, his expressions during the whole wedding and then later was spot on.

It is going to be interesting to watch how Ahmed and Haaniyah both adjust to the new situation and what will be Haaniyah’s reaction once Ahad comes back in the house. We will see him returning back to the house very soon.  We can expect some violent reaction from him after seeing Haaniyah as his brother’s wife.

They really need to progress the story now! It took 4 episodes for one day to finish; I hope we do not have to wait another four weeks for the next day to get over. The story has a lot of potential and from the spoilers I have seen so far, there are a lot of interesting sequences coming up in the show. I hope our patience would be rewarded soon and we would see some progress in the storyline.

This week’s episode was way better than last two and I personally liked it a lot. The pace was still slow but we got to see a lot of interesting scenes in this episode. If they would have showed the wedding sequence immediately after Ahmed offered to marry Haaniyah, then it would have made no sense. I am glad that they showed the inner turmoil that Ahmed was going through. He had made this hasty decision to save his parent’s reputation but now he had doubts about the future of his relationship with Haaniyah.

“Kya Mera Faisla Sahi Hai… Mein Aur Haaniyah Aik Doosre Se Muhabbat Nahi Karte. Kaise Face Karunga Mein Haaniyah Ko”

His indecision, confusion and turmoil were clearly depicted by his thoughts above. I loved the way he put up a brave face in front of his sister and mother and did not let them know how unsure he was about his decision. His mother was a bit shocked by his decision at first, but now even she was just as proud of Ahmed as his father.

My heart completely went out to Haaniyah in this episode. She was so happy to hear that Ahad has agreed for the marriage again and she instantly forgave him for what he had done just a day before. She was happy again and preparing enthusiastically for her wedding, until her father came and burst her bubble. The heart-to-heart conversation between father and daughter was an emotionally charged scene and both Soniya and Munawar Saeed were brilliant in the scene. This scene literally gave me goose bumps and I could clearly feel the emotions of the two characters.

Soniya perfectly portrayed the initial shock, followed by hysteria and finally acceptance of the situation. Her father first tried to explain the situation to her and when that did not work he resorted to emotional blackmailing to make her agree and since she had already made the mistake of not listening to her father in Ahad’s case, she agreed to her father’s decision this time. The sad part was that she still did not give up on Ahad and kept calling him again and again. Her chant of ‘Mein Ahad Se Muhabbat Karti Hun’ did not end till the very end!

“Hum Apni Aulaad Ko Sab Kuch De Sakhte Hai Per Naseeb Nahi”

This dialogue was spoken by Haaniyah’s father after he witnessed her breakdown. Every parent wants their children to be happy and all their wishes to be fulfilled but Haaniyah’s parents were completely helpless in this situation. In this episode, they focused on what every character in this show is going through. They even showed how worried Haaniyah’s mother and Ahsan’s were for Haaniyah and her reaction to the news of her marriage with Ahmed.

It might be a slow episode but I did not get bored even for a bit and I am glad Samina got less screen space this time. Samina is back in Ahsan’s house to create more problems for everyone. She is truly the most annoying character in the show!

I must add that I find Soniya Hussain really pretty and she has the most beautiful smile. She just needs to tone down her acting a bit otherwise she is perfect! I even love her overall look, especially her hairstyle in the show.

The Humsafar background music in this show was a total turn off for me. I wish they had not added it! My whole attention diverted from the scene to the background music.

I was expecting the wedding to happen in this episode but now hopefully, it will happen next week. It will be interesting to see how the story will progress now.

This week’s episode was relatively better than the last one. There were a few developments in the show this week though at a snail’s pace. The episode revolved around the two family’s reactions to the drastic steps taken by both Haaniyah and Ahad. I said this in my first review of this show that I find this show very filmy and I saw the filminess yet again in this episode. The reactions of all the family members to the news of Haaniyah’s attempt at suicide and then Ahad’s disappearance were full of the spiciness that we see in movies. I am not saying I disliked the scenes, I was really hooked to the scenes because the suspense and emotional quotient was increasing after each scene. I  still strongly believe that the episode should have been a bit fast paced.

I was disappointed yet again when I saw Samina’s scenes forcefully added in between the very intense and emotional scenes between the two families. I am completely unable to fathom why Samina is getting so much screen space at such a crucial point of the show. We already got enough of her dose last week, they could have waited for an episode or two for the next dose. One minute I am completely into the emotionally intense scene and the next minute, I get to see the completely spoilt Samina and the scenes between Samina’s brother Zaheer and his wife Afshah. These scenes were a huge turn off and if anyone of you has not seen the episode yet, I seriously recommend you to skip these scenes.

I truly loved Munawar Saeed’s acting in this episode. He truly acted like a loving father would in such a situation and my heart truly went out to him. Even Ahsan’s (Khalid Malik) acting was pretty good in this episode. Even though I found the dialogues really filmy, I still thoroughly enjoyed the exchange of dialogues between the two families.

The highlight of the episode for me was Fahad Mustafa’s performance. Ahmed was the most controlled and calm character in such a critical situation and kept peace between the two families. He logically attempted to find Ahad’s whereabouts instead of panicking like the rest. And in the end, he also came up with a solution to save the izzat of both families.

I was not expecting Ahmed to get emotional all of a sudden and say ‘Main Karunga Haaniyah Se Shaadi’. I thought he would be pressurized by his parents to get married to Haaniyah. Here the case was different, he could not stand his parent’s humiliation and proposed the first solution that came to his mind. Fahad’s teary expression and dialogue delivery were just spot on and I could even blink during the whole scene. He is the main reason why I wanted to review this show in the first place.

I really liked the contrast they showed in Ahmed’s character. They showed in the previous episodes that Ahmed hated the mere mention of marriage and now he offered to marry Haaniyah himself. This shows that he understood the gravity of the situation and he tried to make amends for his brother’s grave mistake by asking for Haaniyah’s hand. He has always been the most responsible one in the family and even his parents were proud of his decision.

Soniya Hussain’s acting was also up to the mark in this episode and I liked all her emotional scenes with her mother. We can judge from her current state that she really loved Ahad. At one point, she was regretting her decision to marry Ahad even when her father opposed it but then when her mother announced that the marriage is still on, she took a 360 turn and said that she knew Ahad wouldn’t leave her because he loves her a lot. I think her conflicting views were due to the emotional trauma she has been through otherwise any girl would not forgive a guy like Ahad so easily.

The final verdict is that this show really needs to pick up some speed and they need to stop dragging the show. This show has potential and they really need to show it. And yes, they also need better editors. The editing was completely pathetic as there was no flow in the scenes.

We will see Haaniyah and Ahmed’s wedding in the next episode. I am still wondering how Haaniyah’s father would convince her for the marriage.

This week’s episode was a total drag which disappointed me a lot. I fail to understand why they added secondary tracks in the midst of a very important twist. After seeing the very engaging first episode, I was waiting for an equally thrilling second episode but I got to see a filler episode instead, which was shocking as well as annoying. During the whole hour, I was waiting to see how Haaniyah’s family reacts to the news of Ahad breaking up with Haaniyah and also how Haaniyah handles it. It was obvious from the preview last week that she was going to try to commit suicide and even this scene was shown in the last 5 minutes of the episode. Haaniyah only had screen space for the first 5 minutes and the last 5 minutes of the episode in total. The rest of the episode was focused on Ahsan (Haaniyah’s brother) and his disturbed relationship with his wife Samina.

I have no idea what the director was thinking when he shot this episode. This was just not the right time to show secondary tracks. I was totally uninterested in seeing the hoity-toity Samina and an extremely worried and frustrated Ahsan who could not convince his wife to attend his sister’s wedding. Ahsan and his whole family seemed fed up with Samina’s behavior and Ahsan was shown regretting his decision to marry her in the first place.

One highlight of this episode was that we got more insight into Ahmed’s character. I already gathered from the first episode that he was the responsible and mature of the two brothers, but we also got to know from this episode that he is a total workaholic and runs away from the very idea of getting married. He tries his best to ignore his mother’s constant demand to get married and gets annoyed whenever she mentions it. She really seems to be after the poor guy’s life even though he is only two years older than Ahad. It will be interesting to see how he will agree to marry Haaniyah since he is dead-set against marriage. So far, I am very impressed by Ahmed’s character with his calm and patient nature and the aura that emits from his personality.

I liked the scene where Haaniyah has a flashback where she is trying to convince her father to agree to her marriage with Ahad. Her father has been aware of Ahad’s unreliable nature since the beginning and has expressed his concern about his nature even in the previous episode. The only reason why he had agreed to Haaniyah and Ahad’s marriage was because of Haaniyah’s happiness as she loved Ahad. Haaniyah was now realizing that her father was correct about Ahad all this time and she was the one who made the wrong decision. Here Haaniyah was thinking about how wrong she was, and at the same time her father was worried about Haaniyah and her future with Ahad. The connection between these two scenes was brilliantly directed and I could really feel the bond between father and daughter.

Ahad has apparently vanished and his family seems to be unaware of this. They regarded his absence from the house till late in the night as his daily ritual and did not pay much attention to it. His mother seemed worried but Ahmed convinced him that it was nothing to worry about. They technically should have been very worried since Ahad was about to get married the very next day. Their attitude was a little hard to digest!

I finally heaved a sigh of relief when they turned back to the main track of the show. Haaniyah’s whole family was shocked when Haaniyah took the sleeping pills. They had no clue what made her take such a drastic step, but her father immediately came to the conclusion that Ahad is the reason behind Haaniyah’s condition. I truly love the bonding between all the members of Haaniyah’s family (except Samina of course!); I enjoy watching close knitted families in shows.

It is beyond me as to why they added a filler episode after such an interesting episode. Either they should have not rushed the story in the first episode or should have continued with the twist in the second episode. I really hope they finally turn to the main story in the next episode.

Another thing which I noticed in this episode is that the title track is not all that bad. The tune that played during the promos made me cringe but after hearing the whole OST, I think it is a decent song sung by Dua Malik

The pace of this show has become faster and the story has progressed quite a lot in the past two episodes. Well, more than it had progressed in the first 4-5 episodes. We got to see some new developments in the show this week, and the main one was Ahad’s apology to all the family members.

Haaniyah has finally started to appreciate Ahmed, and feels lucky to have him in her life. It took time for her to realize what a gem she has in the form of Ahmed and how different he is from Ahad, but I think it was definitely worth the wait. Haaniyah has the glow back on her face and she thanked her family, especially her father for his sound judgment about Ahmed.

Haaniyah had hated the idea of a honeymoon with Ahmed, and now she herself did not want to go back home. The drastic change in Haaniyah is definitely a treat to watch, and I simply love the fact that she is so vocal about her feelings for Ahmed. She is finally opening up to him now! His patience has definitely bore fruit!

Ahad is definitely up to something, his sudden guilt and apology seems fishy to me. I think he has realized that there is no use of showing how upset he is with everyone and play his game by winning everyone’s favor. He knew that Ahmed loves him the most and if he pretends to be guilty in front of Ahmed, he would make sure everyone forgives him, even Haaniyah. And this is exactly what happened. With Ahmed on his side, he got the forgiveness for all his wrong doing, even from Haaniyah.

Ahmed for the first time requested Haaniyah for something, and she agreed only because of Ahmed. Ahmed wanted her to forgive Ahad and close the chapter and move on, and this is exactly what she did. ‘Meri Zindagi Mein Koi Haqeeqat Hai To Woh Ap Hai, Aik Haseen Haqeeqat’ Ahmed was flattered by her words of appreciation and really glad that she fulfilled his request too. Haaniyah wanted to make sure that Ahmed knows that Ahad has no importance in her life now and she proved it by forgiving Ahad.

“Tumne Mujhe Meri Zindagi Ke Bohat Bare Galat Faisle Se Bacha Liya, Aur Mujhe Ahmed Jaise Shaks Ka Saath Mila”

Haaniyah forgave Ahad but not before making him realize how happy she is in her life. The shocked expression on Ahad’s face on hearing this was a treat to watch. Ahad made it clear that he is not ready to move on, and from the preview it seems like he will try to create misunderstandings between Ahmed and Haaniyah. But I have full faith in Ahmed that he would not doubt Haaniyah, whatever the circumstances. He would always hear her side of the story and not believe the obvious.

Once again, I really wish there was less of Samina in this episode. Her nature is truly annoying! I cannot believe she wants to compete with her brother. Instead of being happy for her brother, she wanted to follow his steps. She has become stubborn about her demand for a child, and now even Ahsan knows the reason behind her sudden demand. Ahsan is not ready to agree to her demand because he knows that she would never change. How long will Ahsan stand her? He sure has a lot of patience!

Haaniyah and Ahmed’s phone conversation and the snooker table scene was extremely cute! I have said it before, and I would say it again, they look like young teenagers in love for the first time. I always look forward to all their scenes. Hope we get more of their scenes in the future!

Wow! I was really surprised at the pace of the show this week. So much happened in a single episode! Ahmed and Haaniyah fought, made up and starting leading a normal life and all of this was shown in one episode. That’s quite a feat alright, considering the pace of the show in the past. I am not complaining though!

“Kiun Mujhe Ap Khush Karne Ki Koshish Karrahe Hai, Akhir Kiya Rista Hai Humare Beech Mein Siwaye Jhoot Aur Dekhawe Ke”

My heart went out for Ahmed when Haaniyah lashed out at him with such cruel words. The poor guy was trying so hard to make her happy, and just when he thought she was warming up to him; she revealed her true feelings about their relationship. Ahmed got hurt at her cruel words and we FINALLY saw an angry Ahmed. I was wondering where he gets so much patience from, but it was finally proved that he was a normal human being who has his limits. Ahmed’s so called batameezi did not make any sense to me he just took the clip out of her hair, that’s all. What is so wrong in that?

Ahmed should have given Haaniyah a reality check a long time before, and I was really glad that he finally burst her bubble. Then of course came the best part of the episode; this time Haaniyah was running after Ahmed and not the other way around. Haaniyah’s continuous attempts to say sorry and Ahmed’s cold response were definitely a treat to watch. Ahmed is a practical man, he was not showing his male ego; he had just given up on Haaniyah and their relationship because her words reflected what was in her heart. Ahmed bared his heart in front of Haaniyah and all he got was a cold response from her.

‘Aj Apne Poora Din Mujhse Baat Nahi Ki, Meri Taraf Dekha Bhi Nahi, Pata Hai Mujhe Kitni Taqleef Horahi Hai’

This dialogue had me rolling my eyes. What does Haaniyah really want from Ahmed? When he pays her attention, she does not like it and when he doesn’t, she complains. She is not satisfied in either case! All Ahmed wants is to lead a normal life with Haaniyah, and I am really glad Haaniyah finally understood this and came to her senses.

The scene where Haaniyah breaks down in front of Ahmed and apologized was beautifully enacted by both the actors. For once, Soniya did not over act, which she tends to do a lot. And the best dialogue was when she told Ahmed ‘Ahad apki paon ki dhool ke barabar bhi nahi hai’. She made the decision to keep the past behind her and start afresh with Ahmed, and Ahmed was really happy and relieved to hear this.

Haaniyah and Ahmed’s random conversations and outings were simple adorable, and I had a huge grin on my face during all their scenes after the patch up! Ahmed keeping flowers on the bed, Haaniyah crying after the movie and their discussions on silly topics made me feel like I am seeing two teenagers in love for the first time. Phew! It took 11 episodes for them to fall in love. That was one long ride!

For the first time, I enjoyed watching Ahad’s scene, and did not flip the channel like I usually do. He shared his feelings about the situation with his mother, and now that he has had the staggering realization about what he had done, he is unable to come to terms with the situation. He completely broke down in front of his mother, and well, I can’t say I feel any sympathy for him.

Samina’s demand to Ahsan was the biggest joke ever in my view! I wonder if Ahsan gives in to her demand then how he will deal with two kids in the house. The sudden thought about a child came when she heard that Afshah is expecting. Ahsan’s reaction was predictable; he wanted their relationship to strengthen first before they thought about this.

The show has gotten really interesting and we can expect a faster pace in the future. *fingers crossed*

We finally got to see more of Haaniyah and Ahmed scenes and less of the additional tracks. I hope they get less screen space in the future too! Haaniyah was not comfortable with the idea of honeymoon and Ahmed sensed this. The poor guy tried to convince his mother but she kept a very valid point in front of him and since Ahmed is the obedient son, he couldn’t say no to his mother.

Ahmed is trying so hard to adjust with Haaniyah and he even told her that they don’t have to act as husband-wife, they can go as friends. But Haaniyah was not ready to trust him and one could easily make out that Ahmed got hurt by this. He never complains about Haaniyah’s attitude; if someone else was in his place then they would have seriously offended by the lack of trust shown in him. Ahmed was not even mentally prepared to get married and he married Haaniyah to give her protection and to save her reputation, she should at least realize that!

Thanks to Haaniyah’s never ending ‘nakhre’ they ended up in a resort in the same city. One could have expected her to at least try to adjust to the situation, but she never even tried to make small talk with Ahmed. It was Ahmed who was continuously trying to get rid of the silence, but all he got in return were half baked sentences. I seriously feel for this guy, he is stuck in an awkward situation and he is trying his best to remove the awkwardness.

Talking to Haaniyah is like talking to an emotionless and feeling less brick wall. Ahmed started off the conversation with questions like ‘What is your date of birth?’, ‘horoscope’, ‘favorite color’ which I found really cute. They practically know nothing about each other! And all of Ahmed’s efforts went down the drain when he announced ‘mera ager beta hoga to mein usse cricketer banaonga’. So yes, we were back to square one after that since Haaniyah got offended by his words.

They also showed some progress in their relationship. The way he got worried when he did not find Haaniyah in their room was extremely cute. He was happy to see her walking and enjoying the weather, and Ahmed finally came up with a solution to their problem. Ahmed expects Haaniyah to try to make an effort from her side too, and they finally came to the conclusion that they should behave like friends. Well, they could have easily thought of this solution sooner.

Haaniyah finally opened up to Ahmed and I was in a state of shock when I saw Haaniyah and Ahmed shopping, hand holding and enjoying in the park. I couldn’t be happier to see the progress in their relationship. I thoroughly enjoyed all their scenes!

Ahad is slowly realizing what a huge blunder he had made by ditching Haaniyah at the last moment. This reality check was given to him by his own friends. Ahad had become confused and scared when his friends had given him a horrible description of his life after marriage and this was one of the main reasons why he backed out. Till now, he was trying to justify his actions but now when his own friends told him that what he did was wrong, he had no justification left for his actions. Now he cannot deal with Haaniyah being Ahmed’s wife and his reaction to the news of their honeymoon proved that. I cannot imagine how Ahmed would have felt when he saw Ahad searching for Haaniyah when he came back home from the hospital.

Samina will get to know the reason behind Haaniyah getting married to Ahmed instead of Ahad soon. There was simply no point of keeping her in dark after the wedding was over. When the whole world had witnessed it, then why hide it from Samina? Yes, she has the habit of telling everything to her mother, but things like these cannot be hidden from her forever. Ahsan and his family should have realized this and could have told her a censored version to kill her curiosity.

The preview of the next episode was pretty disappointing. Haaniyah’s behavior is going from bad to worse and I think Ahmed should simply stop trying now. Calling Ahmed’s sincere attempt to build their relationship as ‘dekhawa’ was pathetic in my view. I hope someone drives some sense into Haaniyah soon!

What caught my attention towards this show in the first place were the unique promos and the different storyline. I was personally sick of reviewing shows revolving around second marriages, gender discrimination, extra-marital affairs and many other concepts like those which we see in every other show nowadays.

This show did prove to be different from the rest and was indeed a breath of fresh air for me. It started off with the wedding preparations of Haaniyah (Soniya Hussain) and Ahad (Shehzaad Sheikh). Everyone seemed busy and excited about the wedding except one person; Ahad himself.

Ahad is the younger of the two brothers in the family. He happens to be spoilt one in the family and also a tad bit stubborn and immature, who has not been given any responsibility all his life. One day before his marriage to Haaniyah, he starts getting second thoughts about his marriage and gets the pre-wedding jitters. He suddenly realizes that he is not ready to take up such a big responsibility at such a young age as he wants to ‘enjoy’ his life at this stage like his friends.

Ahmed (Fahad Mustafa) is just the opposite of his younger brother. He is more mature, soft spoken and well-mannered. He happens to be the ‘perfect gentleman’ from what I could make out from the one scene he had in the episode. Since this episode was more focused on Haaniyah and Ahad’s wedding, we barely saw him. I am surely looking forward to seeing more of his scenes in the show.

Haaniyah is also the youngest in the family and is loved by everyone. I truly loved her equation with her elder brother Ahsan (Khalid Malik) who seems to be teasing her all the time. Her character happens to be full of life and she seemed extremely excited and happy about her marriage to Ahad. She happens to be madly and irrevocably in love with him even though Ahad gets a bit rude to her at times, she never minds anything. She seems to be living her dream until Ahad comes and bursts her bubble.

Ahad is the kind of person who loves himself more than anything else and has a careless attitude towards life. Without thinking about Haaniyah, he decided to break up with her the night before the wedding and left the poor girl in a hysterical state. I cannot believe he actually expected her to understand his feelings! After hearing his friend’s views about marriage, he got cold feet and was convinced that he had made a mistake in the first place by agreeing to get married to Haaniyah. And even though he loved her, he did not want to get married to her because he was not ready. Well, you should have thought that before agreeing to get married Ahad! Plus all the blame went on Haaniyah’s head as she apparently forced him for marriage. It was pretty evident that it was a mutual decision to get married and nobody forced him in the first place. He just needed a reason to break up.

The rain scene where Ahad informs Haaniyah of his decision was brilliantly directed and executed. It was different from what we usually see in dramas. I would say it had a filmy touch to it, which made it more appealing to watch. The scene was emotionally loaded and both Soniya and Shehzaad performed splendidly. I found Soniya a tad bit over the top but overall the scene was perfect. If a girl gets ditched by her fiancé the night before her wedding, then I am sure she would be hysterical just like it was shown.

From the promos, we all know what is next and I am desperately looking forward to the next track. The preview for the next episode shows Haaniyah’s reaction to the news. I would rate this episode 3 out of 5.
