Floods in Pakistan have caused widespread devastation. A recent cloudburst in Buner, Swat triggered massive flash flooding in several areas of Swat. Around 450 people were swept away overnight following the cloudburst. Today, Swabi is also facing severe flooding after a recent cloudburst, a consequence of climate change. The weather department has predicted heavy rains in Punjab and Sindh, which may lead to further flooding.

In Swat, around 450 people lost their lives in the floods. However, a wise principal in Swat saved the lives of 900 children through his timely decision. Saeed Ahmed, upon arriving at the school, sensed the danger and immediately announced a holiday and evacuated the premises. Just a few hours later, the entire school building was swept away. The principal said he had first experienced the similar weather conditions in 1995, which also caused heavy flooding.

As soon as Jibran stepped down from the platform that was supposed to be chained, the lever was pulled. The platform opened and if Jibran had been standing on it, he would have lost his life. The director was also shocked and he and the whole crew asked Jibran to give Sadqa as he had truly escaped death.

Parwarish was a drama that was loved by the audience. The drama had lessons, fun, laughter, emotions and at the same time it started a lot of discussions. The show was written by Kiran Siddiqui and directed by Meesam Naqvi. Meesam also played the character of Boss who was loved by everyone. He revealed his regrets regarding filming of the show and the script changes.

Meesam Naqvi revealed why some sequences made less sense when they were shown in Parwarish. Like there was no sense of JB not worrying when his son got shot. He revealed that they were supposed to shoot several sequences of the family in the USA and those could not happen due to technical issues. He did not want to cheat those scenes in Pakistan and those scenes about Wali’s family were ultimately cut from the script.

Main Manto Nahi Hoon, written by KRQ and directed by Nadeem Baig has slowly but surely hooked the audience. The characters have started many debates and people have a lot to say about what is being shown in the story. The drama is at a turning point now as Mehmal aka Sajal Aly is engaged while Farhad aka Azaan Sami Khan is still on an evil streak. His girlfriend is still missing and he is now emotionally blackmailing his father to get Mehmal.

Farhad was once again dramatic as he started crying and made his mother ask his father for Mehmal. Babar Ali gave a powerful performance as he tells off his son and says that he will never get Mehmal. She is his enemy’s daughter but she is still respectable.
