Karachi, Pakistan’s largest metropolitan city, often makes headlines due to accidents, largely caused by administrative negligence and incompetence. Most incidents involve people being hit by dumpers; sometimes traffic violations lead to accidents, and another major hazard is citizens falling into open gutters, as nearly half of Karachi’s drains lack proper manholes. Yesterday, a three-year-old child Ibrahim tragically lost his life after falling into an uncovered manhole outside a departmental store at Nipa Chowrangi.
According to the details, Ibrahim had gone shopping with his parents when he slipped into the gutter right in front of his father within seconds. The incident occurred around 11 p.m. on Sunday. People immediately began rescue efforts, and the child’s body was recovered by a young boy in Gulshan-e-Iqbal after 14 long hours. According to the reports, the locals carried out the rescue operations on their own.
Pakistani media celebrities have expressed deep grief over the tragedy. Many are mourning alongside the parents, while others are openly criticizing government officials. Mishi Khan, Waseem Badami, Amar Khan, Ahsan Khan, Reema Khan, Mahira Khan, Sajal Aly, and several others have condemned the government for its negligence and corruption.
Mishi Khan blatantly called out the Karachi government for their incompetency and corruption. Here is the link to the video:
A heartbreaking tragedy in Karachi has shaken the public. A 17-year-old boy, who was reportedly the cousin of the 1.5-year-old girl, allegedly took the child outside on the pretext of taking her for a walk and sexually assaulted her. The child was brought back in deteriorating condition, after which the little girl lost her life during treatment. According to the medical report, she had allegedly been subjected to sexual assault. Police arrested the suspect from his home, and further investigation is underway.
The incident has left the public deeply shocked and devastated. Aiman Khan, Mishi Khan, Ahsan Khan, Mariyam Nafees, and many other celebrities have condemned the heinous crime.
Mishi Khan has raised her voice and condemned the incident. She said, “God forbid, what’s happening. A 17-year-old neighbor took a 1.5-year-old to the market and subjected her to sexual assault. She was brought back in a deteriorated condition, after which she passed away. It’s unbelievable that such crimes are prevailing in our country just because there are no punishments for such criminals. Such criminals should be publicly punished and hanged. It is happening because there are no restrictions on porn content. I hope the Sindh government takes action on it.”
Mariyam Nafees also said that parents should not leave their children alone:
Ahsan Khan also shared stories and tagged Sindh govt.
Aiman Khan has also shared the story in her Instagram account , she wrote, What’s happening in the country, it’s time to start punishing these rapists’ . Read here:
Social media users are also of the view that parents today need to be extremely careful. They believe parents should avoid sending their children with strangers and should remain vigilant about their children’s safety. Many users wrote that they teach their teenage boys to maintain appropriate boundaries with younger children and not touch them unnecessarily. Others said that joint families can sometimes be a curse, as children may be mistreated by family members in different ways.
When the whole country was sunk in a political frenzy, a huge tragedy hit us again. Mastung was bathed in the blood of our brothers. More than 128 people lost their lives in a suicide attack including a patriotic leader Nawabzada Siraj Raisani who fetched a World Record for Pakistani by making the longest flag in 2017. Our celebrities were also deeply shaken by the tragedy as they mourn the loss of their brethren:
This has not only taken 128 individuals but it is a dilemma of 128 families who will never forget the 13th of July. May Allah grant Jannah to the departed and peace to those who are left behind. And may Allah make our country safe that we do not hear any of this news ever again!
There are no words to describe the grief and shock of Pakistanis at the death of Amjad Sabri. Amjad Sabri was not only a legendary artist but also an incredibly humble and kind human being.
Our celebrities are also badly shaken up by this extremely saddening and shocking news.
Last Friday, Amjad Sabri played a memorable cricket match with his good friends, Salman Ahmed and Fakhr-e-Alam. Fakhr-e-Alam is deeply upset and horrified at this great loss.
The prestigious Hum Awards ceremony was held over the weekend in Lahore and it was undoubtedly an extravagant event. However, we couldn’t help but notice that many popular celebrities were not present at the event.
Here are a few celebrities who we missed at Hum Awards 2017:
Atif Aslam
The star Atif Aslam was rocking a concert in Holland.
Hello Holland, see you this Saturday (29 april 2017) at the World Forum Theater. I’m there, are you there?
Muslims are observing Ashura day on 9th and 10th September, that makes the same dates for 9th and 10th Muharram.
Muslims observe this day with grief and respect , likewise the actors are observing and posting statuses about it.
First of all most of the actors are even not on social media as Azfer Rehman has taken off from it for 9th and 10th which is much appreciated.
9th and 10th Muharram reminds us of the sacrifices that were given by the best of Muslims who belonged to the family of our Prophet Muhammad S.A.W.W ,they were best warriors who sacrificed their lives solely to Islam. The grief and pain is shared among whole of the Ummah as after centuries it still remains heart wrenching and immensely painful and unforgettable. That is the most brutal incident of the history of world.
May peace be Upon the Martyrs of Karbala
Ameen.
Here we will show you what our actors have posted about Ashura day.
