Lahore based model and actress Sopha Mirza is in trouble after her former husband Umar Farooq Zahoor filed a Rs500m defamation case against her. The 44 years old actress got married to Umer Farooq Zahoor in 2006 and got divorced in 2007. She has two twin daughters who are happily living with their father in Dubai.

According to the news shared by Daily Pakistan, in the later proceedings of the court, the actress has confessed that she planned a grand theft at husband’s home to steal half million Dhiram cash and money and she stabbed him with knife.

In written statement, she also admitted that she planned to kill her husband as well and discussed the plan with Dr. Asad, who was a renowned doctor in Abu Dhabi. Dr Asad instantly informed her ex husband Umar Farooq Zahoor about the robbery and assault plan. “Unfortunately, the plan of mine was disclosed to my husband, admitted Sophia Mirza. This beautiful diva started her career with her first drama ‘Ishq Gumshuda’ where she was actually noticed as an actress. She did her masters in film making and since then, she is affiliated with the entertainment industry. Out of so many hit serials she has given to the Pakistani entertainment, some of the outstanding ones include Azar ki Ayegi Baraat, Ishq Ki Inteha, Saiqa, Kuch dil ne Kaha, Mere paas pass, Meri Zaat  Zara-e-Benishaan, Saiqa, Dil-e-Muzter and many more.  Sarwat was recently appreciated for her outstanding theatre ‘’Dhani  where she shared the stage live with Sanam  Saeed. She made her film debut with Tarang’s housefull ‘Dil Mera Dharkan Teri’, starring Ahsan Khan and Sanam Saeed.

What might not be known by her fans is the fact that she was previously married to Omer Saleem who is the brother of very popular Ali Saleem (Begam  Nawazish Ali) but somehow the marriage didn’t work and now she is all engaged to Fahad Mirza. The couple will soon be tying  the knots of marriage this year.

The actress today has formally uploaded her apology video. In the video, she said, “My name is Sarah Aijaz Khan, and I want to publicly apologize for a mistake that happened during one of my scenes. In the scene, my character enters a room in anger and throws a few objects. Unfortunately, one of those objects turned out to be a religious textbook. First of all, Alhamdulillah, I am a Muslim and I practice my faith. I read the Quran, including its translation, and I have deep respect for religious books as well as all books and knowledge in general. I would never intentionally throw any religious text—or a sacred book of any religion—on the floor in anger. This incident has made me realize that I should have been more careful. As actors, we perform on sets that are prepared by the production and art departments. The props and their placement are already arranged, and we usually do not change them because they are part of the scene’s continuity. I performed the scene as instructed. It was completed in a single take, and because there were no retakes, we did not get the opportunity to notice that the book was an Islamic studies textbook. Had we realized it, we would have corrected the mistake immediately. I sincerely apologize for this unintentional mistake. I have sought forgiveness from Allah, who is the Most Merciful, and I hope He has forgiven me. I also ask all of you to forgive me.” Watch here:
