Saif shared a painful experience saying that earlier this year his Lahooti Melo team gathered where one of the volunteers at the first ever event opened up about her Me Too experience. She had suffered at the hands of one of the guests invited to the event in 2016. She was a budding artist and after knowing that, the predator, who happens to be a known media person, tracked her down on social media. He said that he won her trust and made her feel comfortable. It was then he forced him on her one day which shook her to the core. She tried to commit suicide but survived.

He said “I saw women with the courage to share their stories, who were being very brave, and the backlash [they would get]. Also, men like this media person who [sensing that their time might be up] would preemptively generate a narrative [around themselves], so that if they are accused, they can get away with it.” He is also planning to dedicate this year’s Lahooti Melo to the Me Too movement.

Saif Ali Khan’s controversial statements after his film Phantom was banned in Pakistan has aroused a lot of negative comments about him from people in Pakistan. Recently while talking to NDTV Saif Ali Khan said, “I don’t know if I should say this but I was upset with the action in Pakistan and how upset they’re getting and I seem to have become the face of ‘anti-Pakistan feeling’.”

He also said that he has always wanted Pakistan and India to have good ties. “This, I’m a little concerned about. Because my politics is the last thing that should become the question and for sure not against the people of Pakistan, I have absolutely nothing, except goodwill and hope that we manage to fix our problems,” said the actor.

Kabir Khan, who directed Phantom was also present for the interview in which he said, “It’s (Phantom) a mission film quite simply. If you take the India and Pakistan element out of it – I didn’t want to say this during the promotion – but it’s actually a very simplistic mission film. The political element has given it some controversial edge.”

It appears to be that Saif Ali Khan has realized that his statements were insensitive and he wants to mend fences.

While expressing his views at the Geo Tv Morning show Utho Jago Pakistan,Pakistani cricketer all rounder Shoaib Malik told that he was offered a Bollywood Movie Project in recent past and was asked to be pair up with his real life partner Sania Mirza.

There has been a mass of kids’ rapes and murders taking place in all parts of country but they have been highlighted glaringly after an innocent seven year old Zainab fell prey to the worst form of cruelty while her parents had entrusted her in relatives’ care as they had gone to perform Umrah.

There are calls now on digital, social and print media for reforms and measures to be taken everywhere in the society to stop this kind of atrocity ever happening again. While emotions are still raw and hearts till beating faster over what Zainab had to endure, a segment from Sahir Lodhi’s TV program “Ap Ka Sahir” went viral where young girls are wearing inappropriate clothing and dancing to songs with unsuitable lyrics. It is some kind of a dance competition between youngsters and most of them are under twelve years of age.

Once it went viral, people got extremely disturbed at Sahir Lodhi for doing such programs and the girls’ parents for letting their under aged kids do all these kinds of moves in front of so many strangers and the cameras. According to reports from Galaxy Lollywood, Raasta has been heavily censored by Censor Board Pakistan and therefore the makers have decided to postpone the release. As per the distributors of the film there have been some technical issues with the film which will be fixed within a week and it will release soon. As of now, no particular new release date has been announced for Raasta but it is expected to release on March 30.

Mohsin Yaseen, GM Cinepax Cinemas also announced the delay through a Facebook post.
