Like all other Muslim actors, to live in India peacefully, they need to show that they are religiously secular and politically against Pakistan.” Another said, “Baluchistan? Since Khalistanis want a separate state”. A netizen taunted, “The reason for his flop movies is this mentality. The release of Salman Khan’s Tubelight in Pakistan has been a matter great debate. However, according to reports, Tubelight’s director Kabir Khan has hinted that the flick may be released in Pakistan at a later date.

In a press conference in Dubai, director Kabir Khan said, “I don’t think one should react or respond to hearsay, we have not been told by any Pakistani producers or anyone from Pakistan about our film. Yes, I have heard there have been murmurs about our film essentially so that may be some producers feel they have a better chance at the box office without a film over there. But if they feel some of their films have to be nurtured more, we can come there later as well. At the end we feel that our film should be enjoyed and consumed by people in Pakistan because they are great fans of Salman Khan. More than the box office, we have got a lot of love from them for Bajrangi Bhaijaan. We hope to do the same with Tubelight this time.”

In order to protect the business of local films in Pakistan, directors and producers are rumored to have been trying to stall the release of Tubelight. Therefore, the film might release after Eid! Salman Khan’s “Tubelight” is also Bollywood’s first film ever to have its personal character emoji.

Salman Khan’s latest movie that revolves around the 1962 Sino-Indian war will be releasing on Eid ul Fitar all over the globe. Pakistan, however, has shown reluctance in this regard and the cinemas are set to show Yalgaar , a much-awaited Pakistani movie instead.

According to reports, Pakistan Film Distributors Association and the Pakistan Film Producers Association, along with various local film-makers, are trying to stop the release of Bollywood’s much-awaited film ‘Tubelight’ and the Ministry has also given directives to stop the release of the film.

A few Pakistani films are slated to release on Eid-ul-Fitr this year and the release of Tubelight in Pakistan will affect the business of local films. Therefore, Tubelight might get banned in Pakistan to save the local cinema.

Salman Khan is amongst the biggest Asian stars. He has been ruling Bollywood for 30 years now and his films are big hits in Pakistan as well. The actor has a huge Pakistani following and his movies held some of the biggest box office records in Pakistan. He is all set to make an Eid comeback with Sikandar and he is busy promoting nowadays.

Pakistani actors and singers were working in Indian films regularly till 2016. Things got harsh politically after that and Pakistani stars were banned from Bollywood. There have been certain small collaborations but for the most part, Pakistani stars did not work in India and Indian films were not screened here. Salman Khan has now given his take on Pakistani artists working in India. He has earlier spoken against the ban when things were really tough. He has once again expressed that he will be willing to work with Pakistani stars. During a press junket for his film Sikandar, he said that he has no issues if Pakistani stars work here.

Take the permission from here, and I am ready to work with them. Or get them a visa and take permission from the government here.

There has been a huge fiasco recently when the ban came again on Pakistani artists by Bollywood. This time they specifically targeted top-notch singers like Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Atif Aslam. Consequently, Atif Aslam refused to promote a song he sang for a Bollywood movie. He was also not given credit for his song in Baaghi 2 which recently released. Despite rising tensions, Salman Khan wants Atif Aslam to sing the song he has written himself for his movie Race 3.

In a recent press conference for his upcoming film, He said those who demand wars should be sent to the border to end the warmongering.

“Those who order wars should be sent to the forefront and be told that you fight first. Their hands and feet will tremble. The war will be over in a day. Then they will sit across the table and talk.”

Salman further added, “Whenever there is war, people die on both sides of the border.”

“All discussions can be solved across the table. It’s a negative emotion.”

Soon after Salman’s press conference came to an end, Hindu extremist Shiv Sena criticised the actor and said that Salman Khan “crossed his boundaries. The way he has said this is really objectionable. Who doesn’t want peace? Why does he always cross his boundaries.”

Congress spokesperson Sanjay Jha, on the other hand, told CNN-News 18 that Salman Khan’s statement rooting for peace between India and Pakistan was a “sane, sensitive and mature one.”

Fawad Khan is undoubtedly the most successful Pakistani actor across the borders. After winning hearts with his striking performance in Kapoor & Sons, the star was set to give the Indian actors a run for their money. However, seems like Bollywood has no plans to uplift the ban on Pakistani celebrities working in India.

A source told DNA, “While KJo’s next directorial will be with Ranbir Kapoor, he wants to produce a film with Salman and Katrina in the lead as he finds their chemistry sizzling. Poor Salman Khan is not Meera or Rakhi Sawant who chooses to be in the controversies, rather he is dragged into them. Black buck case, hit and run trial and many more. He’s even been to the jail couple of times but that doen’t stop people from loving him. His movies still make crores. Although, this year wasn’t great and Race 3 couldn’t do business as expected yet Salman was confident as he said that even his flops make 100 crores.  Apparently, he is in hot waters again because of his film Bharat which has been in news for all the wrong reasons mostly. Previously, Priyanka Chopra quit the film and it created a controversy and how Salman, himself has done something, that has landed him into a trouble.

Salman was had been shooting for Bharat  and ther was a sequence to be shot at the Wagah border, which, however, could not be possible due to security reasons. Hence, film-maker Ali Abbas Zafar chose a village in Indian Punjab where they recreated the set. Everything was well until the crew put up the Pakistan flag on the land. The villagers got extremely upset and reportedly filed a complaint against Salman.

An insider said, “Even though this is for a film shoot, local organisations are upset and have filed a police complaint against Salman. They also surrounded the sets of Bharat and the hotel that Salman was staying at. After all it is a film shoot but the locals refuse to understand.” Sensing an unfavorable situation Salman and the rest of the Bharat team quickly wrapped up the shooting and left for Mumbai.

Salman Khan has been considered notorious in the Indan film industry for working with Pakistani artists even after the initial ban from the Indian association. He has worked with Atif Aslam after that and Atif has sung for his films. Atif Aslam’s track was going to be featured yet again in the Indian remake of The Notebook which Salman Khan is producing.

As the Indian Media and government is on a spree to blame Pakistan for the Pulwama Attack, the ban on the Pakistani artists has been re-enforced. This has caused Salman Khan to remove Atif’s track from the film and replace it with someone else’s voice. The jingoism is being endorsed by many Indian artists too in addition to the media which has led to art being affected alongside businesses between the two countries.

Atif Aslam has previously sung Dil Diyan Gallan despite the ban on Pakistani artists but the jingoism this time led Salman Khan to replace Atif’s voice. Atif’s latest track Baarishein was also removed from T-Series Youtube channel before this!
