The story of drama serial Jalan revolved around two sisters Misha (Areeba Habib) the virtuous one and Nisha (Minal Khan) the evil one.
Asfandyar (Emmad Irfani) the affluent and hunky guy, sees Misha at a party and experiences love at first sight, sends proposals everyone agrees and Misha and Asfandyar get married.
Nisha on the other hand who is engaged to her cousin Ahmer (Fahad Shaikh) starts getting jealous of her own sister and her wealth. Soon after Misha’s marriage, Nisha in her covetousness starts hitting on Asfandyaar and eventually succeeds.
Asfandyaar divorces Misha and gets married to Nisha. Misha unable to bear her husband’s infidelity burns herself to death.
Asfandyar’s sister kicks him out of the house. Ahmer returns who has now married Areej (Hajra Yamin) and turned into a rich businessman.
Nisha realizes her mistake on the dot and tries to get back to Ahmer but remained futile. In the last episode, Nisha loses her senses and faces a horrible accident as a result her faces burns. On the other hand, Asfandyar in all the rue loses his life.
Despite being all the criticism and getting banned by Pemra once, Jalan managed to get millions of views on each of its episodes. Drama serial Jalan has now ended and jealousy, hate, and a lot of thapars remained the highlight of drama serial Jalan.

Controversial drama serial Jalan has been criticized since the release of its trailers and till yet it has been criticized.
The writer of Jalan, Sidra Sahar Imran has talked about the criticism she had to face on to her drama serial Jalan.
Talking about the criticism she said, “Writers are fulfilling their responsibilities but it has become a fashion to criticize others. People are criticizing Jalan and I have an idea about it but I wrote this story on the demand of channel.”
“We are living in the 21st century and we are ashamed about the things on which we should be but we are ashamed after watching a drama,” she said.
Sidra Sahar also shared that after all this criticism a writer will think twice before writing. “I am not saying bad about anyone but people who haven’t watched the drama are also criticizing. If some people are against it but there are people who are liking it as well.”
“We have been stopped to talk about such things but I think even children should know about these things. Jalan is a story of this society, it’s not a unique story. Such negative characters exist in our society and the writer will show the end of this negative character but please wait.”
Sidra Sahar further said, “People are waiting for the end of Nisha. I have shown an important societal issue but if people keep criticizing I don’t care because I am unique.”

She is recently working in drama serial Jalan and Mauhabbat Tujhe Alvida.
Jalan met with extreme negativity right when the initial teasers released. After giving few warnings regarding the show, PEMRA decided to ban the drama. People said this show was taking the youth in the wrong direction, and felt this show could ruin the society. After a few days of Jalan being banned, drama serial got unbanned for some reason. The show started getting higher ratings after being unbanned and regularly topped the ratings and on YouTube grabbing Millions views in hours internationally. It has gotten a lot of fame and recognition and despite criticism still intact for the serial, it has gone up in audience consumption heavily.
Jalaibee (جلیبی) is an upcoming film scheduled to release on 20th March 2015. Though the music of this film is not yet released, here we can hear Zhalay Sarhadi singing one song of this film during an interview with BBC Urdu.
There were rumors of an item song in the film. However Zhalay has clarified that it is not an item song and its choreography is like a typical song of Indian artist Madhuri Dixit.

Since Indian content has been banned and left many in dismay, at the same time it has left Pakistani artist with an opportunity get back in the game by playing their cards right.
Jal band thinks it’s the perfect time for Pakistani artistes to step up their game,
their latest music video Tu Muskura is their first step to do that.
The music video revives old memories of their concerts in Pakistani Music Industry as the video is a collection of footage of Jal’s live shows put together with video clips of the band members going around the world.
“Since Indian content has stopped, it is the musicians’ responsibility to keep making music and release music albums so that viewers can enjoy local talent,” says Goher Mumtaz, the band’s lead singer.
Considering the complete ban on airing of Indian content in Pakistan, the singer adds, “Listeners are always searching for good content and we cannot just complain.”
We’re excited to see that Jal back, now lets see how many other artists take the advantage of the opportunity that they have now to bring on their work of art.
Goher Mumtaz is the face of Jal band. He talked recently to Express Tribune about the band losing its hype and how the music trends have changed from the times when band was initially formed 15 years ago.
Jal released a song Parinda before Ramadan which has garnered good views; the band will relaese several other songs too including an OST for an upcoming drama Faisla. Goher said in the interview:
Jal’s music is all melodic and lyrics-based. The reason of our success was melody. It was always the melody that people remembered and wanted to listen over and over.Many older bands are going through the same thing. Their lineups are changed or they have other issues. I agree Jal doesn’t have the same hype it used to have.But that’s because the sound has changed. So, we as a band need to keep reinventing ourselves and stay fresh. Our music industry is not stable and we have lost a lot of hype but there is no excuse of creating mediocre music.
He further added:
In 2017, we have three tracks and we intend to continue releasing more in the future. We want to keep producing music and offering it on a regular basis to our fans.
Jaisay Aapki Marzi is an Ary Digital’s popular drama serial which is directed by Saba Hamid. The drama is a Six Sigma Plus presentation. The drama has been written by Naila Zehra Jafri. Mikaal The drama features the story of Natasha, Sherry & Alizay who are three strong headed characters. Durefishan Saleem played the character of Alizay while Sherry was performed by Mikaal Zulfiqar. Kiran Malik debuted on television as Natasha. The other cast members include Ali Tahir, Ali Safina, Hira Umer and Javed Sheikh.
Today, the last episode of the drama serial Jaisay Aapki Marzi aired on Ary Digital. The ending of the drama serial Jaisay Apki Marzi is getting mixed reviews. Many fans loved the ending who are of the view that the breakup from a narcissistic person itself is a happy ending, fans are praising Alizay for taking a brave decision for her life. However, others suggested that Alizay could have reconciled with Sherry for the sake of her son. Fans also questioned the father-in-law’s will, stating it’s unrealistic as women rarely inherit their own property. Most of the fans sre saying that the ending was quite boring.
Many viewers also believed that Meerab cheating on his wife was not at all justified, and they considered his behavior wrong. Fans are praising the acting of Mikal Zulfiqar and Kiran Malik as Sherry and Natasha, who stole the show due to their impeccable performances. They are also getting backlash as Natasha and Sherry. A few fans are saying they needed a better and detailed conclusion to all the plots including Sherry, Natasha and Alizay. A social media user wrote, “this drama is showing the one sided picture, it is only supporting the feminist agenda”. Jaisay Aapki Marzi is getting good ratings these days and we are getting to watch a good story on screens. All the characters in the drama are getting a lot of coverage and are coming under discussion. Hira Umer plays Ramza, sister to Durefishan’s Alizey. Many people are loving ramza as she sounds like the only voice of reason among all other psychopaths. Hira is doing great and fans want her to get more screen time so she could drill sense into everyone.
Hira Umer is also very active on social media. She often shares pictures from her trips and whereabouts with her family. She is comfortable in her style and openly shares what she does.
