Lets have few glimpses of the star studded evening.
Pakistani stars have gained a massive following in the last two decades. Showbiz received a major hit during the Zia ul Haq era when everything was censored, and creativity was virtually banned. Films suffered, scripts were mellowed, and the stardom of the stars was limited. But things started getting better after the media was declared free in the Musharraf era. Through censors and difficult political climates, art started growing again.
Since the advent of social media, Pakistani stars once again started receiving massive success, and now they have a global following. Stars always catch the attention of their fans, not just in their work, but also in their personal lives. Privacy and fame are on teh opposite ends of the spectrum, but in the case of celebrities, they want them both at the same time. This creates a paradox, and sometimes stars tend to hide information about themselves that should be public. Not making it public in the correct way raises controversies. The trend of secret Nikkahs and divorces is one of them.
Here is a list of celebrities who have kept information secret from their fans:
Khushhal Khan & Ramsha Khan
Ramsha Khan and Khushhal Khan are two big stars of the Pakistani drama industry. They are both A-listers who always win the audience with their strong performances. They recently got married in an intimate ceremony, but they did not announce their Nikkah. What ended up happening was a blind item circulating about their Nikkah to a picture which was leaked from the event. The duo still did not confirm it and denied the news at first. They later controversially unfollowed everyone and shared pictures where none of the stars was visible. Everyone has the right to keep their privacy, but when you are so high-profile. Properly announcing your Nikkah would have brought you good wishes and not controversy.
Laiba Khan & Jawad
Laiba Khan is another famous Pakistani celebrity who got married recently. She received love from her fans, but initially, she posted pictures from her wedding event without revealing her husband’s face. This secrecy then pushed nosy netizens into spy mode, who started digging too much into the past. What came out was that Laiba Khan was Nikkahfied 2 years back in Madinah. Her husband’s first marriage and child also came out. Though Laiba announced her wedding publicly, not doing it first-hand and in the correct way brought a lot of negativity for her on social media.
Sana Javed
Sana Javed has been a part of the drama industry for a long time now. She has a huge following, and she knows how social media works. The actress was first married to singer Umair Jaswal, and the ex-couple always received love from their fans. Thus, naturally, the audience was shocked when she suddenly posted pictures with her now husband, Shoaib Malik.
With such a huge following, a divorce announcement never came, and when she announced her second Nikkah, it was shocking for the public, who then criticised her.
Shoaib Malik
Shoaib Malik, now husband to Sana Javed, was at first married to Indian superstar Sania Mirza. The high-profile marriage was tracked by global media, and the ex-couple are parents to a son, Izhaan Mirza Malik. Thus, when Shoaib Malik posted a picture with Sana Javed from their Nikkah, the public was blown away. The criticism started coming as people thought this was a case of polygamy.
Shoaib Malik never spoke about his divorce even after the backlash, and in the end, Sania Mirza’s father released a statement confirming his daughter’s divorce.
Sajal Aly & Ahad Raza Mir
Sajal Aly and Ahada Raza Mir made one of the most loved Pakistani celebrity couples in the history of the Pakistani entertainment industry. The duo met while filming Yakeen Ka Safar, and the meeting led to their marriage. Sahad fans were overjoyed, and the couple always received love and support from their fans. But one day, Sajal Aly just removed Ahad’s name from hers on her Instagram, and the media reported speculations about their divorce. For such a high-profile marriage and relationship, the artists just got divorced and never announced anything. Many of their fans kept hoping for a reconciliation, as there was no official announcement for years.
Bushra Ansari & Iqbal Hussain
Bushra Ansari is a legend of the Pakistani media industry. She was married to another public personality, ace director Iqbal Ansari. The couple had two daughters, and fans always thought they were together. Then one day rumours started about their divorce and Bushra Ansari’s second marriage to Iqbal Hussain. They still did not announce the marriage and waited five years before announcing that they were a couple. They were scared of public backlash, and it came due to the delay they had in the announcement.
Sanam Saeed & Mohib Mirza
Sanam Saeed and Mohib Mirza are another celebrated Pakistani showbiz couple. They were both married earlier, and their respective marriages did not work out. They got together while filming Deedan, and they were both single at the time. They did not announce their marriage earlier, as Sanam was friends with Mohib’s first wife, Aminah Sheikh. The duo announced their marriage after being together for a few years on Fahad Mustafa’s show. They have both received the audience’s love and acceptance.
Hina Altaf & Agha Ali
Hina Altaf and Agha Ali are two Pakistani actors who tied the knot in a private ceremony in 2020. They were friends earlier, and the duo publicly announced their marriage. They received love and blessings. They used to post a lot of content together, and then one day they just stopped posting together. Fans were guessing, but they never announced the breakup officially. Agha Ali also started dropping hints, and in the end, it was Ahmed Ali Butt who asked him directly if he was divorced, and the actor confirmed it.
Iqrar Ul Hassan & Farah Iqrar
Iqrar ul Hassan is a Pakistani anchor who was admired for his strong stance against corruption. He was married to fellow anchor Qurutulain Iqrar, and they were both admired as a power couple. This is when suddenly the internet found out that Iqrar was also married to anchor Farah Iqrar. What came as another shock was how he was married for the second time for over 5 years by then. This changed his image in the audience nad he has married for the third time since then.
Shamoon Abbasi & Sherry Shah
Shamoon Abbasi and Sheryy Shah are two Pakistani stars who worked together in Durj. They found love and got married, which they did not announce at the time. It took them a few years to publicly admit to their marriage. What came was a little bit of a surprise from the fans’ side, and mostly good wishes. Thus, not announcing it when it happened never made any sense.
Though everyone deserves privacy, marriage and divorce are social and religious contracts that are meant to be announced. Their whole purpose is to publicly announce if a couple is together or not. Thus, keeping secrets about them and later on getting angry when fans criticise the secrecy never makes sense.
We have also seen how Pakistani stars like Atif Aslam, Mahira Khan, Ayeza Khan & Danish Taimoor and Mawra Hocane only received love and understanding for privacy when they openly announced their marriages. Similarly, for stars like Syra Yousuf who publicly announced her divorce, there was understanding from the audience’s side.
Case No. 9 is a drama that has been receiving great reviews since it started airing. The show is the debut drama for anchor Shahzeb Khanzada as a writer. Syed Wajahat Hussain is the director while many big stars are performing in the show. It is the story of a rape survivor and how she fought with the world and how the justice system of Pakistan deals with such victims.
The new twist in the show came when Sehar’s ex-husband Ali played by Ali Rehman Khan started working at Kamran’s office. He helped her when she was being deceived by Kamran but he was soon found out by Kamran and the two had a confrontation. Ali realizes how his cheating destroyed his marriage and he still respects and loves Sehar.
The reaction has been mixed. Many fans found Ali to be the best character in the show. One wrote, “Ali showed how respect remains even when Ali was the ex-husband of Sehar.” Another added, “Ali really saved Sehar.” One said, “Ali won our hearts.” This is the reaction:
Others were questioning why Ali never recorded or taped anything when he confronted Kamran. One said, “Why did Sehar’s ex-husband not record his conversation with Kamran.” Another added, “Kamran confessed to Ali but he did not record it.” Here is the other side of debate:
Case No. 9 written by Shahzeb Khanzada and directed by Syed Wajahat Hussain is a very poignant drama ruuning on Geo TV. It is speaking about how rape cases are handled in Pakistan and how in many cases, the justice system goes against a woman who decides to fight for justice. With a strong star cast, the drama is doing well and the recent episodes completely belong to Aamina Sheikh as Beenish and Naveen Waqar as Manisha, two powerful female characters.
Beenish fought the case with real life facts and figures. She read important real life judgments in the drama and Aamina Sheikh felt like a real life lawyer. Her presence made the screen powerful and fans are loving her comeback while Naveen Waqar has given a very measured performance as Manisha. The way she calls out her husband Rohit’s cowardice and reminds him how silence is also helping the oppressor was commendable.
Fans are sending love to both Beenish and Manisha for their outstanding performances and characters. One fan wrote, “This drama deserves an Oscar. Aamina Sheikh nailed her character as a lawyer.” Another added, “The way Beenish gave references deserves a round of applause.” One said, “Manisha is a woman all women need in their lives.” One said, “The trio of Sehar, Manisha and Beenish is outstanding.” Here is the reaction:
Case No. 9 is a crime drama that has won the audience left, right and center. Showing the reality of how a rape case is handled in Pakistan and with actors like Saba Qamar, Faysal Quraishi, Aamina Sheikh, Junaid Khan and others in the lead cast, the drama is doing wonders. The latest episodes have brought Kamran’s wife in the limelight and now we are seeing another talent that Kamran possesses: Manipulation!
Kamran’s wife Kiran played by Rushna Khan is an educated and independent woman. She is not lying down and taking everything. She is back and she is investigating what actually happened with Sehar. Kamran was able to handle her and like many husbands all over the world, he was able to fool his wife with a lie. In case No. 9, Sehar is fighting for justice while Kamran has convinced his wife that they had an affair.
Case No. 9 fans are discussing how such men are so manipulative and they can always create a story. One fan wrote, “Kamran is so manipulative that even I was convinced by his story.” Another added, “He is creating a false story so easily.” One said, “Men like Kamran always have justification.” Here is the reaction:
Case No. 9 is a hard-hitting drama written on the topic of how a rape victim suffers to get justice in Pakistan. Written by Shahzeb Khanzada and directed by Syed Wajahat Hussain, the show boasts a huge star cast and every actor is giving their hundred percent in the show. Gohar Rasheed plays Inspector Shafeeq, a character everyone is loving and hating at the same time.
Inspector Shafeeq in Case No. 9 is the real representation of a policeman in this country. He is corrupt himself but he is also non-chalant about a serious case as he knows the conviction rate is as low as 3 perecent for rape cases in Pakistan. He is trying to play both sides and he just wants to make some money off this case.
This is how Gohar Rasheed has brillinatly immersed in the character:
Fans are applauding Gohar Rasheed for this fabulous portrayal. One fan wrote, “Gohar even overshadowed a great actor like Faysal Quraishi.” Another added, “Inspector Shafeeq is the top character in the show.” One said, “Mindblowing. Gohar Rasheed stole the show.” This is the reaction:
Case No. 9 is a popular Pakistani prime-time drama series that airs on Geo Entertainment. The drama is written by Geo News anchor Shahzeb Khanzada and directed by Syed Wajahat Hussain, who previously directed Khaie. It is a 7th Sky Entertainment production and features a stellar cast, including Saba Qamar, Gohar Rasheed, Amina Sheikh, Junaid Khan, Naveen Waqar, and Faysal Quraishi.
So far, 28 episodes of the drama have aired on Geo TV. In the recent episodes, Kamran is finally heading towards his punishment as he faces strict legal scrutiny. Although he has always managed to save himself from legal complications, this time he has spent a huge amount on media for image-building. He appears on the media holding a rosary and begins the conversation with Bismillah, presenting himself as an obedient and practicing Muslim man. Watch here:
Social media users are praising Faysal Quraishi’s portrayal of Kamran, with many saying he is truly a remarkable actor who knows how to bring perfection to a role. Drama viewers loved the way Kamran was shown using the “religion card,” as often happens in real life by predators or wrongdoers. One fan wrote, “Faysal Quraishi portrayed it superbly.” Another wrote, “This is true—if a person adds a religious context in his conversation, people start believing him.” Another commented, “They have shown the reality of how people manipulate minds by using the religion card, like Kamran.” One fan wrote, “This drama has exposed police, lawyers, and the media badly.” Another added, “I started laughing when Kamran began the interview by reciting Allah’s name.” Yet another wrote, “This whole interview scene was so funny.” Read the comments here:
Case No. 9 is a crime thriller which has the audience at the edge of their seats. Saba Qamar and Faysal Quraishi as the main stars of the show have done well but all the other cast members have been exceptional as well. The biggest twist in the show came when Rohit decided to side with the truth. He revealed what happened that night as the eye witness. The latest episode showed his testimony and how he was questioned by Bukhari Sahab, aka Kamran’s lawyer.
Noor ul Hassan has been fantastic as Bukhari Sahab in Case No. 9. The evilness he has brought in his character is hard-hitting. He is trying to save his client and he can go to any lengths to do that. This time he targeted Rohit and tried to falsify his testimony. The way Noor ul Hassan has performed the character is making people question who is the real villain: Kamran or Bukhari.
Case No. 9 fans are shocked by how good Noor ul Hassan is in the character and how bad Bukhari is as a person. One fan wrote, “This is the kind of lawyer who people call the devil’s son.” Another added, “Noor ul Hassan has done a brilliant job in the character.” One said, “There can be a separate show about Bukhari Sahab’s plans.” This is the reaction:
Case No. 9 is a drama which has earned praise for a very strong storyline and performances. It has shown in a practical way how a rape case is dealt in Pakistan in court and in society. Saba Qamar, Faysal Quraishi and Junaid Khan were the three central charcters who were shown present at the crime scene. Rohit played by Junaid Khan was the man who had the ability to turn this case around as he was the eye witness.
Rohit remained loyal to Kamran even after Kamran committed a heinous crime but Manisha, Rohit’s wife, played by Naveen Waqar stood with justice. Manisha is the answer to society’s question that if a wrong man’s family opposes his actions, will he choose the right path? The answer is Yes! Rohit chose the right path and spoke truth in the court after beng pressured by his righteous wife.
The fans of Case no. 9 are applauding Rohit who finally came through. One user wrote, “Hats off to Manisha who stood strong and made Rohit choose what is right.” Another added, “Junaid Khan gave a great performance today.” One said, “Rohit rocked. Kamran and Inspector Shafeeq shocked.” Here is the reaction:
Case No. 9 is the story of a rape survivor in Pakistan. How a woman who has already gone through so much pain is ostracized by society, the legal system and workplace. Saba Qamar and Fayal Quraishi are playing the main characters of Kamran and Sehar. The legal battle is now reaching social media as Kamran runs a smear campaign against Sehar.
Sehar Moazzam played by Saba Qamar finally takes a step as she records her side of the story and shares it on social media. She is a woman who is determined to fight till the end. She requests society to not oppress her further if they cannot speak for her. Case No. 9 has shown a great phenomenon of how important people raising their voices helps victims who are going through hell. Lawyer and activist Jibran Nasir and artist and activist Shehzad Roy had cameos in the episode. They both tweeted for Sehar Moazzam and their voices amplified the voice of a common woman like Sehar who had no one in her corner.
They included many prominent stars like Bilal Abbas Khan, Kubra Khan, Atiqa Odho, Ushna Shah and other stars and showed through this drama how important it is for artists to stand up for truth.
Check out the star power Case No. 9 brought for the episode and the world finally stands for a victim:
Fans of Case No. 9 praised how social media’s positive power was shown. One said, “Real celebrity tweets made an impact.” Another added, “Showing real posts. Mr Khanzada has outdone himself.” One said, “Kubra Khan is like Manisha here. She is standing against her own husband Inspector Shafeeq.” This is the reaction:
Case No. 9 written by Shahzeb Khanzada and directed by Syed Wajahat Hussain has become a fan favourite. The star cast is powerful and talented and all the actors are doing well. The characters are written properly and the direction is top-notch. The rape case of Sehar Moazzam played by Saba Qamar is moving forward in the court and the drama is now showing how someone can get justice if the system starts working the way it is supposed to.
Aamina Sheikh as Beenish and Syed Tanveer Hussain as the Honourable Judge have been the two winners of this week. Beenish hit it out of the park as she baffled Kamran’s servant Mureed, Kamran himself and even the lawyer Bukhari Sahab. She was on fire and she did not back down once as she was defending her client.
This is how Beenish took everyone to the cleaners:
Fans of Case No. 9 are praising both Aamina Sheikh and Syed Tanveer Hussain. One fan wrote, “This judge is the most intelligent character. I wish more judges were like this in reality.” Another added, “Beenish rocked and Bukhari shocked.” One said, “Beenish shows how a woman can be a shield for another woman.” A comment said, “The acting of the judge is so bloody good and impactful.” This is the reaction:
Case No. 9 is a drama written by Shahzeb Khanzada and directed by Syed Wajahat Hussain. The drama has a stellar star cast comprising Saba Qamar, Faysal Quraishi, Junaid Khan, Naveen Waqar, Aamina Sheikh, Noor ul Hassan, Gohar Rasheed, Hina Bayat, Ahmed Randhawa and others. The drama is showcasing how a rape victim has to fight society, system and the rapist in order to get justice.
This week’s episodes of Case No. 9 were all about Mrs Shaheena Moazzam aka Sehar’s mother played by Hina Bayat showing the opposing consel his place. She looked edgy but she stood strong as she defended her daughter. She was able to show Bukhari Sahab her strength and she showed that she will keep standing with her daughter.
Fans are loving how finally Bukhari Sahab was called out. One fan wrote, “Mothers do become strong when their children need them.” Another added, “Sehar’s mother rocked. Bukhari Sahab shocked.” One said, “Sehar’s mother deserves praise. What a brave woman.” This is the reaction:
Case No. 9 is a drama that has brought Shahzeb Khanzada as a writer. Directed by Syed Wajahat Hussain, it shows how a rape victim is dealt by law in Pakistan. How they are belittled by society and what they have to go through everyday of their lives. Saba Qamar as Sehar Moazzam is fighting the biggest fight of her life while Kamran Haider aka Faysal Quraishi is oppressing her at every step.
Junaid Khan as Rohit is the third most important part of this case as he is the eye witness of what went down that night. He has been standing with Kamran in Case No. 9 despite his wife Manisha being upright. Fans have now found out the reason behind his fierce loyalty. So, Kamran and Kiran stood up for Rohit, who is a Hindu when he was falsely accused of blasphemy in college. Such false cases are rampant in Pakistan and they are often used as a weapon. Kamran fiercely defended him and therefore he is till alive today.
THis is the reason for Rohit’s loyalty in Case No. 9:
The internet has been shocked by this backstory. One fan wrote, “Rohit needs to realize that Kamran defended him because he was right while Kamran is wrong.” Another added, “Hats off to Shahzeb Khanzada for highlighting such fake blasphemy cases.” One said, “Now I can understand where Rohit is coming from.” This was the reaction:

Saba Qamar is playing a rape victim Sehar in Case No. 9 and this story will revolve around her fight for justice. Faysal was phenomenal as a rapist who has no remorse for what he has done. Junaid Khan was the most impressive as Rohit who is scared as he is an eye witness and he is trying to hide his best friend’s crime.
Saba Qamar did a great job as always and shook the audience by her vulnerable scenes:
Case No. 9 was able to win the fans from its very first episode and expectations are high. One viewer wrote, “This is high time we show how such crimes are being committed in our streets.” Another praised Junaid Khan, “Junaid Khan was surprisingly the most natural on screen.” One said, “Goosebumps after seeing Saba Qamar.” This is how the audience is appreciating this different story on their screens:

Case No. 9 was a suspense-filled Pakistani crime drama series that aired on Geo Entertainment. The show was written by Shahzeb Khanzada and directed by Syed Wajahat Hussain, who previously directed Khaie. The series was produced by 7th Sky Entertainment and featured a strong cast, including Saba Qamar, Gohar Rasheed, Amina Sheikh, Junaid Khan, Naveen Waqar, and Faysal Quraishi.
Last night, Geo TV aired the finale episode of Case No. 9, which received an overwhelming response from fans. The actors are now sharing gratitude posts following the show’s success. Saba Qamar, Faysal Quraishi, Naveen Waqar, and Junaid Khan all shared posts after the wrap of the series.
Saba Qamar shared an emotional post in which she said she won both her cases today—one in real life and one in reel life. She referred to Naeem Hanif, who had made accusations against the actor.
Saba wrote, “I won both cases, Case No. 9 and Case No. 0 (Baseless). I am not here to criticize or accuse anyone; I simply wish to share a thought that matters deeply to me.
As a society, we must learn to be kinder and more responsible. Women should be supported in their success, not questioned, disrespected, or brought down by false stories and unverified claims. True progress lies in lifting each other up, not diminishing one another. There was a time when false statements were made about me, followed later by an apology. While apologies are important, we must ask ourselves: should a woman’s dignity ever be compromised in the first place without facts or verification? This awareness is essential. I say this with grace and sincerity: respect for women is non-negotiable. I stood by the truth, and that is why justice prevailed. May we all choose truth, empathy, and fairness. This message comes from a place of positivity, integrity, and authenticity.”
Faysal Quraishi shared a gratitude note on the wrap of the show which reads, “Overwhelmed and truly grateful for the amazing public response to Case No. 9. This love and appreciation mean everything to us. A huge thank you to the entire production team, writer, and director for their vision, trust, and tireless efforts. Deep respect and appreciation for the whole cast and crew who poured their hearts into this project. This success belongs to all of you and to the audience who believed in the story” Read here:

Tonight, Geo TV aired the final episode of Case No. 9. In the last episode, Kamran planned to leave Pakistan but was arrested by the police while sneaking out of his house. Kamran was sentenced to 25 years in prison, while Inspector Shafiq and his subordinates, who helped him, were also punished.
Viewers are praising the satisfying closure of the drama. Many feel that Bukhari was equally a culprit and should have been punished. One fan wrote, “Case No.9 was an intense and thought-provoking drama that realistically showed how the justice system can destroy the lives of innocent people. The performances were natural, and the story kept you hooked.” Another wrote, “It was a great ending. It should happen in reality too, so that people don’t commit such crimes.” One stated, “Manisha was the real heroine of Case No.9. Her picture should be on the cover of Case No.9. She was the strongest and most inspiring character.” Fans demanded Bukhari’s punishment as well. A viewer wrote, “Kamran Lawyer should get punished along with Kamran. His court licence should be cancelled, and he should be banned from entering the court.” However, a few viewers felt that the drama ended in fantasy. A fan wrote, “The drama started with a real social issue but ended in fantasy. Kiran providing video evidence made the whole plot feel unrealistic. Those 30 episodes on COURT, Binish, Bukhari, and the police…? In the end, the writer and his wife took all the credit. Unreal, but still, it was a brilliant script.” Read comments:
