Famous television artist Aneela Ijaz has passed away in Peshawar yesterda. She was suffering from cancer. Aneela was not active in acting since late 1990’s. She worked in many television dramas mainly from PTV Peshawar center in 1990’s like Waapsi, Bisaat and others.

Aneela might be an unknown name for current age of television viewers, but in 1990’s she along with Shariqa Fatima was among the few female artists of PTV Peshawar center. PTV Peshawar center was inaugurated in mid 1970’s. PTV Peshawar center introduced many artists including Najeebullah Anjum, Ismael Shahid, Azeem Sajjad, Ajab Gull, Rasheed Naaz, Jahangir Khan to name a few. However due to local customs and traditions, PTV Peshawar center had no choice to cast female artists from PTV Lahore, Islamabad and Karachi centers. There were very few local female artists and Aneela was one of the few ones in that era.

Jafaa is a HUm TV’s popular drama serial that airs at 8:00 pm on every Friday. The show has a star-studded cast including Nadia Afgan, Farah Sadia, Nauman Masood, Sehar Khan, Usman, Mukhtar, Mohib Mirza and Mawra Hocane. The drama is directed by Danish Nawaz and written by Samira Fazal. Momina Duraid has produced the drama serial. The story of the drama serial is about a gynecologist Zara who married Hassan who has been suffering from complex psychological disease. The story also features a love triangle between Numair, Andaleeb, and Moeez.

This Friday, episode 7 of drama serial Jafaa aired on Hum TV. In the recent episode, Andaleeb’s parents accepted Dr. Numair’s proposal for her against her will and also ignored her obsession and love for her college fellow Moeez.

Anchor Kiran Naz has recently called out the television channels for their hypocrisy as the most of the channels are currently busy in giving tributes to the late Pakistani televangelist Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain. Last year, these channels were not even ready to give him shows because of the controversies associated to him about which he complained.

Well, it is true that the the trend of Ramadan transmission was first started by Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain. According to Kiran Naz, channels are now cashing him by posting tribute videos and paying homage to the late host.

Kiran Naz, who is quite a popular news anchor, said that these channels are now paying tributes to Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain whom they didn’t give a single show last year, despite his depression. Kiran Haq wrote, “Last year, Aamir Liaquat suffered from depression, even though he was the king of Ramadan transmission, no channel was ready to do the transmission with him. This year, various channels are selling Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain in different ways, many are saying that he was the one who inaugurated the Ramadan transmissions and giving tributes. Pakistani journalism is not an easy job. You face bans, arrests and what not. Also with so many rallies and natural disasters, on field reporters face many difficulties in their careers. But we have seen many passionate reporters working on field and rise to bigger positions. One such familiar name is Irza Khan who we see questioning the country’s big wigs and reporting on daily matters to keep us informed. Irza started out in 2015-2016 as a field reporter and she was super passionate about her job.

During the start of her career, Irza had a near death experience as she went to report a rally of Pakistan Tahreek e Insaf. She climbed a crane to get a better view and fell off a height of 15-20 feet while on-air. The video went quite viral back then.

Yesterday a young soul from the news media passed away leaving a void for her colleagues and loved ones. News anchor Iram Chaudhry left this mortal world on 27 January 2024.

Journalist Mughees Ali took to Twitter and announced the demise of his colleague. He revealed that Iram left behind two kids. She was a hardworking journalist and worked in several channels as she supported her two children. Her collegues are sad on her sudden passing away.

Iqrar ul Hassan happens to be Pakistan’s favorite anchorperson and investigative journalist who has ruined hundreds and hundreds of scams and unearthed mafias in the country. Iqrar’s show, Sare Aam on ARY News is one of the most followed shows by far.

As it happens, Iqrar ul Haq recently used his social media to create awareness regarding the threats he and his team members had been receiving from a former culprit they helped catch. According to the video message shared by Iqrar, if anything happens to him or any of his team mate, the law officials will know who to blame and why.

According to Iqrar, one of his teammates was recently kidnapped and threatened to be killed by one of the former culprits that the Sare Aam team had nabbed.

“Three years ago we conducted a raid alongside the rangers and nabbed a fake DSP who was involved in human trafficking. We also helped find girls from his hideout who had been tied and bound. We then found out that this fake DSP was wanted for three murders as well. A case was registered and he was sentenced to jail,” shared Iqrar adding that the culprit was then released after three years owing to the corrupted judicial system of our society.

Iqrar then stated that the fake DSP now released from jail was behind his team and himself and were threatening him with consequences regarding their life. Iqrar urged the social media to share his video as much as possible to raise awareness and concern the authorities in case something happened to him or his team.

Iqrar ul Hassan is a famous news anchor of Pakistan. He hosts a program called ‘Sar-e-Aam’. He got married twice and has a son named, Pehlaaj Hassan.

Iqrar ul Hassan and his wife Farah Iqrar share a good bond. They have opened up a restaurant together. They are not just life partners but also business partners. The restaurant’s name is Pak Cuisine which will portray Pakistan’s positive image in the world through its wonderful cuisine.

Iqrar ul Hassan is a television presenter and journalist. He worked at ARY News for many years, previously as a newscaster and now hosts a program called Sar-e-Aam.

Iqrar got married to a TV anchor Farah Iqrar. It was his second marriage. Recently, Iqrar and Farah were spotted in London in Pakistan International Achievement Award where he won the award for his famous program Sar-e-Aam. His wife was there to support him.

Road shows have become a trend in Pakistan following the rise of unlimited social media platforms and the boom of electronic media. Anchors now conduct and produce their own road shows, engaging in conversations with the general public, which includes individuals from regressive and less educated backgrounds. Nowadays, social media events often draw public attention for being offensive and unacceptable in nature.

During one such road show, an anchor of a social media platform was gathering opinions from general public on the Falasteen issue. In the video, a man touched her and placed his shawl on the anchor’s head.

The anchor called out the man for touching her without her permission. She also said that such actions are against the teachings of Islam and no one can touch a person without his/her permission.
