Asim Raza, a famous director of music videos and commercials has silently started the shooting of his upcoming film. The working title of this film is Ho Mann Jahaan (ہو من جہاں). As per a press report, Asim is targeting to complete this film in sixty five days. The first spell of shooting is done in Governor House of Karachi.
The film stars Mahira Khan, Sheharyar Munnawwar Siddiqi and Adeel Hussain in leading roles. The film is scheduled to release on upcoming Eidul Fitr in July 2015.

Asim Raza, famous Pakistani director has expressed his disappointment with the Lux Style Awards Nominations this year.
The list of nominees did not go down well with the him as he said:
“All I can say right now is that I am most disheartened to see the list of nominations. First of all I am most intrigued to know who are these jurors who are chosen to judge a complex category like Films & Film Music? Quality and excellence in the field of films cannot be judged by just anyone. It is a specialised field just like any other science if not more complex. These judgements cannot be made on the basis of popularity only. A juror’s understanding of this craft needs to be a little higher then that.”
He cites examples of Adeel Husain and Shehereyar Munawar for not having been nominated in the Best Actor category.
“In case of Ho Mann Jahaan there are some major shocks which I am still trying to get over. For example, Adeel Husain’s name not being there in the lead actor category is a complete shocker for me. Not only in HMJ but even in Dobara Phir Se, he performed remarkably well.
“Similarly, Sheheryar Munawar being put in the Supporting Actor category just because he did not get the girl at the end is beyond my understanding. So are we saying that Leonardo DiCaprio should not be considered as main lead in The Great Gatsby because he also did not get the girl at the end?”
He continued to point out further snubs.
Asim said: “HMJ‘s music album which got celebrated even beyond Pakistan was not found worth a nomination in the male singer category by the LSA jury. From Fakhir’s fresh arrangement for Asrar’s ‘Shakar Wandan’ to Atif Aslam’s ‘Dil Kare’, Jimmy Khan’s ‘Barish’, ET’s soulful arrangement for Abu Mohamad Farid Ayaz’s ‘Ghar Nari’, Tina Sani’s ‘Khush Peya Wasse’ to Mai Dhai Band, all got ignored.”
He asked the film industry to start taking “things a little more seriously” in order to work towards better local cinema.
“We must realise that if we want to make cinema substantial in this country then we need to take it a little more seriously and responsibly. Just filmmakers won’t be able to do that job alone. Anyone connected in any way is making a huge impact in conditioning the minds of our audience. Otherwise we should be ready to once again start converting our cinema halls into shopping complexes.”

Asim Mehmood shared that as a student when he was studying in Silakot, they used to wear blue uniform sweaters. Once the winter was really harsh and they allowed the students to wear any outerwear in blue. There used to be a Landa Bazar near his college and he bought a jacket from there. He washed and dried it all on his own.
Asim revealed that he actually got a 100 Pound note from an inner pocket of that jacket and that was such a big win for him. He still remembers the incident and shared it with his fans.

“Asim Jofa with his team had taken up the task for this good cause and we are very happy to announce within less than 48 hours we have successfully created a final prototype of a medical protective suit made according to the guidelines provided by medical experts and thankfully we have gotten it approved by esteemed team of Dr. Seemin Jamali, Executive Director at JPMC. The production starts from tomorrow,” stated the official Instagram handle of Asim Jofa with a video of the ready prototype.

A few days back, actor Hania Aamir was seen at the Karachi Music Revival, a concert held at the Moin Khan Academy, but her enjoying herself at the event like everyone else became news. She went to celebrate her close friend Aashir Wajahat who also performed at the event, but all people could focus on was Asim Azhar’s performance and her reaction to him. Hnaia and Asim became the talk of the town right after the video clip of Hania singing along to Asim’s song went viral on social media.
Recently, a video popped up on social media which shows Asim performing in a college/university, where the crowd started chanting Hania’s name during the live concert. Asim Azhar in a very polite and calm way responded to the audience saying “Extra nam lein gai to boys ko maza nahi ayega”. The crowd burst inti cheers after Asim’s response.

Asim Azhar addressed this situation in an interview with Faridoon Shahryar. He was asked how he handles when people sometimes cross lines regarding your personal life in shows. The singer had a very intelligent answer to this. He said that yes everyone has the right to their privacy but one thing needs to be accepted. In today’s day and age, if you decide to put your life on social media, you are open to scrutiny. Why did you put yourself in such a situation if you were not mentally strong enough to handle it. Thus he knows that this happens and lines sometimes get crossed which is not a good precedent.

Asim Azhar also shared that he is a follower of Ahl e Bait and their conduct. He believes in their teachings and he has learnt not to speak too much. This saves you from a lot of evils. He wants to improve his listening skills for sure but he has adopted this one teaching from them which has a net positive effect on his life. He opens up to people who he has ‘mohabbat’ for and otherwise he remains distant.

Talking about the criticism PSL Anthem gets, Asim said that he has accepted that people will never unitedly love one anthem and someone will disagree about how good it is. Many stars including Atif Aslam, Ali Zafar, Naseebo Lal and fawad Khan have taken on the anthem and there has been criticism each time.
