In an interview with Express Tribune, Sanam Baloch revealed that we’ll be seeing her in a short film directed by the brilliant Sarmad Khoosat and penned by a writer who fails to disappoint – Umera Ahmed. The film pays tribute to Marium Mukhtar, the first female fighter pilot of Pakistan to die in the line of duty. Marium Mukhtar died after a Pakistan Air Force (PAF) FT-7PG aircraft crashed near Kundian in Mianwali District in the northwest of Punjab, Pakistan on November 24, 2015. “When I came to know it’s about Marium Mukhtar and I had to portray her, I decided I have to do it no matter what, although I was in talks with someone else as well for July.”
Sanam admits that she always gets nervous about working on a new project and this time, she is nervous and excited at the same time because the role is quite challenging. “I’m very nervous. I’m always nervous about every project I sign. I always leave my work to the Almighty with a prayer that He will look into it. This time I’m extra nervous since it’s going to be my appearance after so long. This particular short film is going to be very challenging for me. I’ll have to live the life of someone extraordinary.”
Sanam Baloch is not only a fine actress but is also very selective about her projects. “There are good dramas being aired these days but there are not much of them as they used to be. I’ve gone through a lot of scripts in this time but there was nothing that really appealed to me.”
With her hosting a morning show, the schedule gets a bit hectic. “Due to the tight schedule, it gets pretty hard for me to sign any serial or anything. A few days back, Fahad Mustafa announced on his show that we both are doing a serial together. Although he has announced, but I’m pretty worried how I’m going to manage it all. Sometimes it’s extremely stressful and tiring for me.”
Sanam Baloch has fans across the border and one of them happens to be Indian actress Vidya Balan who raved about her acting in Kankar. “I was indeed honoured. Who doesn’t like being praised for the hard work they’ve done? She is such a versatile actor. If it would’ve been someone else, I would’ve still been happy, but then again it was Vidya Balan and that charm was altogether something else for me. It takes a lot of courage to praise someone; it is not easy to get appreciation in this industry, especially by bigger names. It’s a very nice gesture from her side.”
Sanam Baloch believes, and rightly so, that actors need to take a break so that they don’t lose their charm. ”Isn’t it good if people are eagerly waiting to see you? They get bored sometimes seeing the same faces on every channel – in every drama serial. I think a break is pretty important. I have a couple of offers but I would not like to delve much into it. Sanam Baloch’s divorce came as a shock for all the fans because this couple was seen happily on television in a talk show just few weeks before they parted their ways. Although Sanam Baloch never really confirmed her divorce rumors but her husband confirmed that they had gone their separate ways.

Sanam Baloch is overwhelmed on the fans response on drama serial khaas, she said in her live session that I am getting unexpectedly great feedback by you people. She said it is a different character and people are liking it as mental torture sometimes become unbearable and you feel like calling off your relationship which is the hardest thing to be practiced.
Sanam said that fans are noticing Khaas in detail, the wardrobe, the hair and the nail colors so I am really astonished on such love and seriously I wasn’t expecting it.
She was replying to the questions by her fans and some one asked about Heer Maan Ja and the other movies, she said I was waiting for the time when movies will complete their respective businesses , after that I will tell you people my opinion and that is, not because Ali Rehman Khan is my friend and I am working with him , but really heer man ja was best among all. It is usually said that artists are very sensitive people, Sanam Baloch proved that she is not just a gifted actress but also has a very kind soul while she narrated an incident from her past in her Morning Show. Sanam Baloch was talking to her guests about times when they might have hurt someone or someone may have hurt them. Everyone openly apologized to those people who they have hurt in the past. Sanam Baloch narrated a story from her past in which she told that when she started her career a very young fan came to meet her in her house in scorching heat but she turned her away because she was very tired. Sanam Baloch said that she still feels guilty for her behaviour. While narrating the incident, Sanam started crying because she said that she had not forgotten that day and will not be able to forget it until that girl forgives her.
Sanam said that after that incident she has learned to value those who love her. She said that now she values all her fans and is mature enough to know better.

Sanam Baloch has transitioned to being a morning show host for quite a long time now. She hosted a morning show on Samaa and then went to do one on ARY News. She recently came back to Samaa TV where she is hosting Subha Saveray Samaa Ke Saath. According to the news making rounds on social media, Sanam Baloch along with her whole team has been fired from Samaa TV.
The editor of Jang and Geo posted about it on his Twitter and reportedly the last show will be aired on the 28th of February 2019. Well, the reasons or the confirmation has not come from anywhere else but the firing came due to a recession going on and the team was cut down due to the rupee getting devalued.
Sanam Baloch, however, has also gone back to acting and is currently shooting for a drama alongside Ali Rehman Khan which will be aired on HUM TV.
