Produced under the banner of Big Bang Entertainment, Jalan became a part of huge controversy even before it started airing.
The story of drama serial Jalan revolved around two sisters Misha (Areeba Habib) the virtuous one and Nisha (Minal Khan) the evil one.
Asfandyar (Emmad Irfani) the affluent and hunky guy, sees Misha at a party and experiences love at first sight, sends proposals everyone agrees and Misha and Asfandyar get married.
Nisha on the other hand who is engaged to her cousin Ahmer (Fahad Shaikh) starts getting jealous of her own sister and her wealth. Soon after Misha’s marriage, Nisha in her covetousness starts hitting on Asfandyaar and eventually succeeds.
Asfandyaar divorces Misha and gets married to Nisha. Misha unable to bear her husband’s infidelity burns herself to death.
Asfandyar’s sister kicks him out of the house. Ahmer returns who has now married Areej (Hajra Yamin) and turned into a rich businessman.
Nisha realizes her mistake on the dot and tries to get back to Ahmer but remained futile. In the last episode, Nisha loses her senses and faces a horrible accident as a result her faces burns. On the other hand, Asfandyar in all the rue loses his life.
Despite being all the criticism and getting banned by Pemra once, Jalan managed to get millions of views on each of its episodes. Drama serial Jalan has now ended and jealousy, hate, and a lot of thapars remained the highlight of drama serial Jalan.

Vijay Singh Deol, better known as Bobby Deol, is an Indian film actor who works in Hindi films. Top comedian, YouTuber, and Prankster, Nadir Ali have shared a heart-wrenching story of his struggles to achieve success.
Taking to Instagram, he wrote, “It was a cold night of December 2014. I was coming back from a prank shoot for a private channel. My shirt was torn and my face had scratches from one violent victim of my prank. On my way back I ran out of petrol of my bike.”
“At that moment I realized that the director forgot to give me 100Rs of my petrol. I tried to call my brother but my phone had no credit. And that was the first time I got scared. For the first time, I got a doubt in my heart that is this work really worth it? All the people I am making laugh, are they really laughing with me or the world is laughing at my situation?” He added.
Nadir Ali shared how he never gave up even during the toughest time and said, “That was the scariest day of my professional career. When I got home after two hours of walking with my bike. My mom couldn’t hold her tears and asked me to quit this work. And That was the most scariest day of my professional career. When I got home after two hours of walking with my bike. In the end, Nadir Ali wrote, “Fast forward to this December. I am standing next to this car. People see this luxurious car. In a recent interview, he talked about how TV is the source of entertainment, not education. He said, “This big misunderstanding that TV will teach everything. No, TV won’t teach rather it will entertain. Let’s not make it a school like PTV’s drama. Pointing out small mistakes is not good if we can keep on doing like this then Anwar Maqsood wouldn’t be a legend who bluntly said everything in his time. I believe change is important but let it happen at its own pace.”
He shared his opinion on Minal Khan who was slapped so many times in Jalan and said, “Its wrong but its not getting normalized because we are not saying that this is right.”
The host interfered and said that the audience wants Nisha to die. On which Fahad Mustafa said, “The audience which is saying this on social media is not even the real audience. The audience has been like this and still, they are like this but now they have a place to say this.”
Talking about his responsibility towards the audience, he said, “My only responsibility is to add age limit on the drama. My kids and I have different Netflix and this is important.”
“All the kids have Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok and Jalan is the last thing we should talk about. So only television is not everything but the big problem is the cell phone,” he added.

Ali Zafar and Meesha Shafi Harassment case remained a part of highlights ever since Meesha Shafi filed a case of sexual assault against Ali Zafar.
The case got complexed after the addition of various other cases one of which was filed by Ali Zafar against Meesha Shafi and her other fellows for staging a smear campaign against Ali Zafar. FIA has released the final verdict of this case and finds Meesha Shafi and 7 other people guilty of running a slanderous social media campaign against singer Ali Zafar.
In the challan submitted to a Lahore court on Tuesday, the FIA said these people were unable to provide witnesses to Shafi’s sexual harassment. This is not a final verdict in the harassment case.
In the interim challan, the FIA said: “During the course of investigation so far Meera Shafi alias Meesha Shafi, Iffat Omar, Maham Javaid, Leena Ghani, Haseemus Zaman, Fariha Ayub, Syed Faizan Raza, Humna Raza, and Ali Gul Pir have been found guilty in this case as per available oral and documentary evidences. However, the complainant recorded his statement in favor of Hamna Raza to the extent of accepting her apology, thus she is not required in the investigation furthermore.”
The eight people named in the case were booked on September 29 under Section 20 (Offences against the dignity of a natural person) of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act and Section 109 (Punishment of abetment) of the Pakistan Penal Code.

Famed TV presenter Zainab Abbas has recalled the challenges she faced as a woman when she ventured into the world of sports that is predominantly a male-run industry, not only in Pakistan but world over. Zainab’s journey to fame has not been an easy one, and the celebrated personality, in a recent TED Talk, revealed the challenges she had to face while marking her presence as a female sports presenter in Pakistan.
Zainab’s daring discourse at the TEDWomen 2020 featured a prerecorded session titled ‘The missing sportsmanship in sports’ and a line-up of speakers. The virtual event that highlights the journey of prominent personalities also shed light on renowned females in the field of sports.
Speaking of her journey, Zainab recalled how growing up she had always been vehement about playing sports, predominately cricket in the company of her cousins. “The idea of sportsmanship stems from the fact that sport is generally an equalizer, independent of gender, race, or skin color. It focuses on your talent, skills, strength, and above all, merit,” she remarked.
She further talked about her experience after graduation which led her to disconnect from the world of sports and join a corporate organization in London. This is where she was subjected to racial discrimination and bigotry as well.
But following this, Zainab received the opportunity of auditioning for a World Cup event in Pakistan, albeit, the interviewers doubted her knowledge of sports on the basis of her gender. And among these hurdles, she also relayed having a hearing impairment which coupled with having no media training, and no room for mistakes left her no choice but to polish her presenting skills.
“I did not have a mentor, I was not a TV buff and I was just following my dream and passion. When I did enter the field, there were a lot of people who made fun of me because they believed that a woman cannot be talking about sports,” said Zainab.
“Focus is the one thing that kept me going even in times of adversity. There was also a time when some of the cricketing legends that I looked up to, refused to give me an interview due to my gender.” Zainab confessed how heartbreaking her experience was, because as a child these were the heroes that she looked up to. After a couple years into recognition, the two cricketers who refused to give her an interview willingly gave her one, acknowledging her worth and how she cemented her way into the industry.
“I think the world was just not prepared. They were not used to seeing a woman taking the lead in this field that has been helmed and represented by men for so many years,” she concluded, acknowledging inclusivity as true sportsmanship.

In the initial episodes, the OST of Ishq Zahe Naseeb did grow on the viewers, however as the drama progressed, the editors become bigger fans of the soundtrack, so much so that they decided to use it to such an extent that would make the viewers fall out of love of it and guess what, they succeeded. The fact that the same soundtrack was varied and used in so many different versions throughout the drama made the viewers’ blood boil. Also, the fact that the drama has more flashbacks than the original scenes, where the soundtrack was overused made it a buzzkill as well. There was a time when the viewers were so annoyed with this OST that every time it echoed, they literally turned the volume off.
Meherposh
Singer, Composer & Lyricist: Sahir Ali Bagga
It is unfortunate that there’s absolutely nothing about the Ayeza-Danish project that is appealing, not even the soundtrack. The OST of Meherposh is a perfect example of noise pollution. It starts off on a soothing note but then becomes too loud in the middle that it feels like a completely different song altogether. If the composer had stuck to the original part of the OST and had stretched it a bit more, it would’ve been one of the most melodious OSTs of this year but the loud part just throws you off.
Dil Ruba had two different OSTs; the second OST in particular was and highly unappealing! In order to promote the drama, HUM decided to come up with not one but two OSTs. The singer Shani Arshad’s vocals and his composition both left a lot to be desired. Even though this was the shortest OST, it was not the least bit impactful. Even the lyrics were highly unimpressive.
Dulhan
Singer: Zeb Bangash Composer: Waqar Ali Lyricist: Sabir Zafar
Singer and composer Waqar Ali has given the Pakistani drama industry some of the most beautiful and memorable soundtracks. There was a time when all of his soundtracks used to become a superhit and were heard everywhere, however, the OST of Dulhan is definitely not his best work. The fact that Zeb Bangash literally sang it as if she was skipping all the vowels makes it amusing instead of interesting.
Ishqiya
Singer, Composer & Lyricist: Asim Azhar
Ishiqya’s OST was overused so much that it must still haunt all those people who watched the drama. All those times when the leading lady and gentleman, in particular, had no dialogues, the director played this OST and let the viewers figure out what was going on in their minds! Not only was this OST annoying because it was overplayed in the drama but the way it has been sung and composed shows lack of creativity. The lyrics and the composition are not appealing enough which basically goes to show that Asim Azhar should not be trusted with the task even though he is really talented but he clearly cannot come up with something appealing when he is the one who is in charge completely.
Jhooti
Singer, Composer & Lyricist: Sajjad Ali
Who could have thought that someone as talented and dynamic as Sajjad Ali would sing the OST of the worst drama this year. We would also expect him to deliver irrespective of the content of the drama itself but sadly that was not the case. The lyrics were just as shallow as the content of the drama and even the composition wasn’t catchy enough. The composition and the lyrics did not gel in either. Sajjad Ali has a soulful voice which was wasted singing this song. The fact that this OST was used repeatedly especially ‘jhooti hu mei jhooti hi rahu gi’ bit made it even more annoying. It was like the theme song for all the jhootis out there!
Nand
Singer: Sanam Marvi Composer: Waqar Ali Lyricist: Sabir Zafar
Nand’s OST had to be the most dukhi one we heard this year. Not only are the lyrics full of dread, Sanam Marvi made sure that she sang it in such a way that they sound truly upsetting. Although the drama itself wasn’t as upsetting as the OST was, the director and the editor made sure that they used the ‘soya hei naseeba’ part to the maximum whenever Rabi in particular was going through hell. Since she went through hell repeatedly and the drama has been dragged to the maximum, the over-reliance on this sorrowful OST has made it truly unbearable. If Jhooti’s OST was the theme song for all the jhootis out there then Nand’s OST was one for all the dukhyaris!
Mohabbat Tujhe Alvida
Singers: Sahir Ali Bagga & Afshan Fawad Composer: Sahir Ali Bagga Lyricist: Imran Raza
Mohabbat Tujhe Alvida’s soundtrack may sound soothing when you listen to it a couple of times in the beginning but soon after, it starts to lose its appeal. The fact that the lyrics are all over the place and it’s basically made to put in the title of the drama makes it not such a great OST in particular. The lyricist Imran Raza decided to narrate the entire story and feelings of the leading characters while penning down the OST. And sadly he did so in such a way that you lose interest halfway through! Although Sahir Ali Bagga is a really gifted composer and singer, he failed to give this one the kind of vocals which were needed to make some of the lyrics more intense. Since the OST is so ‘detailed’ it needed some high notes which it is clearly missing. It is annoying especially listening to some of the parts from this OST being played repeatedly in the drama.
Jalan
Singer: Rahat Fateh Ali Khan Composer: Naveed Noushad Lyricist: Imran Raza
Jalan’s OST was sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, who has sung some of the best OSTs this year and there is no denying the fact that he is one of the most talented singers in Pakistan. However, this OST’s composition left a lot to be desired, it had too many melodies and the main chorus sounded more playful than serious. Another big reason why Jalan’s OST is really annoying is that the yaad yaad part has been repeatedly played in the drama and it makes you want to stand up and do a luddi dance even though the situation shown when this OST is being played in the background is always sad!
Umeed
Singer: Zuhaib Hassan & Afshan Fawad Composer: Sahir Ali Bagga Lyricist: Ali Moin
Umeed’s OST is an overdose of forced emotions! The singers tried extra hard to bring out the melancholy in the theme and the lyrics. In doing so, the resulting product was an OST which is not the least bit interesting. Even sad songs can have a certain appeal which Umeed’s OST lacks altogether. Even the composition is disappointing, to say the least.

Who on earth is not aware of Sham Idress and Ducky Bhai controversy.
It all went nasty between the two famous YouTubers Sham Idress and Ducky Bhai when Ducky Bhai roasted Sham Idrees and Queen Froggy in one of his videos and called them out on the clickbait, fake content they produce.
Things got worst when Ducky Bhai and many other YouTubers and content creators were called a Tiny Youtuber by Sham Idrees and Queen Froggy. Hence all other YouTubers including Zaid Ali T, Shahveer Jafry, and many others grouped up against Queen Froggy and Sham Idrees.
Afterward, Ducky Bhai accused Sham Idrees of threatening his family.
Shahveer Jafry recently got engaged to Ayesha Beig and many youtube celebrities were also spotted at the event and to everyone’s surprise, Ducky Bhai and Sham Idrees were seen together. After a year of the fiasco, Ducky Bhai and Sham Idress were seen enjoying the function together in a friendly manner.
Moreover, Sham Idrees posted a picture on his Instagram with Ducky Bhai with the caption: “Dostana”
