With the tagline ‘A Comedy of Terrors’, one can only wait to see what the film has in store for us. The rom-com ‘Jhol’ is directed by Shahid Shafaat and stars Bilal Ashraf, Nausheen Shah and Salim Meraj as well. According to the makers, the film stars Urwa Hocane as a businesswomen while Ali Azmat plays an ayaash policeman.

Previously there were rumors that Urwa turned down a Bollywood film for Jhol, as she believed this was better. The actress is on a roll and has 3 other films in the pipeline set to release this year.

Imsha Rehman is an emerging social media star who is known for her digital content creation on Tiktok. She has around 200 k followers on Tiktok. In November, Imsha Rehman made headlines for her fake leaked video scandal. Imsha Rehman also deactivated her account after the scandal. Alongside her digital presence, she is also focused on her studies.

Imsha Rehman said, “I saw the video on the internet, after which it destroyed my whole life. I can’t go to university. I can’t face people. I have been facing a lot of death threats. People on social media think that it is quite a cool thing to make videos of others and disseminate them on social media. But they forget about its consequences on the other person. I could respond to the scandal, but I wanted to take legal action against them. Our FIA is capable of much more; they have already arrested the culprit, and he is behind bars. The FIA officials also said that the victims should not stay quiet and should take legal actions so that such criminals get the punishment.

Internationally acclaimed award winning Pakistani artist Imran Qureshi has been honoured with a Medal of Arts Award by the US State Department for 2017, making him the first Pakistani ever to receive this honour. The awardees for this year also include Nick Cave, Jenny Holzer, Wolf Kahn and Rachel Whiteread. Qureshi was honoured in a ceremony hosted by Deputy US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Washington D.C on 12th January.

Qureshi has been exhibiting his paintings internationally for almost 20 years. The Medal of Arts award is given to artists who have promoted cultural diplomacy through the visual arts and international cultural exchange. He was also made ‘Deutsche Bank Artist of the Year’ in 2013 with an exhibition at the Kunsthalle, Berlin, Macro Museum Rome and Ikon Gallery, Birmingham, in 2014.

Speaking on receiving the award, Qureshi said, “It is not just for me but for Pakistan. This especially holds true for the nation’s contemporary art scene. The reality is that the West is only exposed to Pakistan through what their media tells them, this is often one-sided and myopic. Contemporary art is the most exciting thing happening in Pakistan courtesy the diversity of ideas, concepts and approaches.”

He added, “As an artist, I have always assumed a sense of responsibility to make a significant contribution to furthering harmony between different cultures and countries. As a Pakistani I am proud to accept the award in the spirit of making this world a better place through art for our future generations.”

Imran Nazir is a great Pakistani former batsman who joined cricket in late 90’s. His fearless batting as an opener made him an important part of national cricket team and he became a popular name. I used to live in Murreed K and it was my first international trip, I was coming to Karachi, obviously, I didn’t check my luggage too many times, at that time there was no trend of checking luggage again and again. I was shocked, they caught me, I still am unaware about guns but it was a pistol. PCB intervened and then I was free after spending 3 nights in jail. They took care of me in jail. PCB helped me. Few lines of the ghazal which Reham Khan sang in Shaista Lodhi’s Morning Show have received different kinds of reaction from people. Some people see Reham Khan as a strong woman while others think that she is a drama queen who is trying to get attention from people. What anyone thinks does not matter much but what matters the most is what Imran Khan thinks about her song. Imran Khan was invited in a talk show On Samaa TV as a guest in which he talked about many different things including politics and his divorce. When the host asked him if he had heard Reham Khan sing and what he thought about it, he said,

“I have heard that people cried a lot and she sang very well. I was thinking I can also sing and make people cry but for a completely different reason! People will cry because they will do anything to make me stop singing. Divorce is very painful for anyone who is involved in it. It is a kind of a death of a relationship.”

Imran Khan made it very clear before too that he was not going to malign his ex-wife’s reputation in any way and in this reply he made it clear once again that he was not going to say anything against Reham Khan.

When Imran Khan and Reham Khan were divorced, Imran Khan made it very clear that this was his private matter and he did not want any interference from anyone. Now that a little time has passed, Imran Khan is willing to talk about the divorce. Sanam Baloch interviewed Imran Khan and she asked him some personal questions too which he answered very candidly.

Sanam Baloch asked how he felt about being so unsuccessful in his personal life although he had been successful in everything else he did in his life. To this Imran Khan replied,

“Nelson Mandela was a failure in his personal life, Quaid-e-Azam too. This is really up to Allah and there is very little anyone can do about it.”

Sanam Baloch also asked Imran Khan if he cried after his divorce to which he replied,

“I don’t believe in these dramas like Indian films I can’t say I broke my heart and cried! I can’t do that. It was no doubt a difficult time, a very painful time and that is when it is time for self analysis. Soul searching is very important when you are going through a difficult time. You think about what happened and you think of the lessons the experience taught you. That is how you move forward, you can’t live in the past.”

Imran Khan compared this experience of his life with all those difficult experiences he had when he used to be a cricketer. He said that you can’t live in the past and start writing poetry about it. You have to move on!

A day before yesterday Meera expressed her desire to instantly marry Imran Khan provided he proposes her. Today Jang Newspaper has published the response  of Imran Khan as. Referring to a website the Urdu Daily Jang on 8th September 2014 reported following response of Imran Khan.

An old video of Prime Minister Imran Khan is circulating on social media, in which he is giving an interview to an Indian channel. In that video, the former cricketer revealed that Dev Anand, a renowned actor asked him to act in a film in 2006.

“You won’t believe it but I was once asked by a brilliant Indian actor who we all look up to, to act in one of his upcoming films. In fact, he even turned up in England to request me, but I was puzzled,” said Imran Khan.

In the beginning, Imran Khan did not reveal the name of the actor who asked him for the film but when the host repeatedly asked him he confirmed it was Dev Anand.

“For me it’s strange, to think that just because I’m a cricketer, doesn’t mean I can be an actor as well. It doesn’t make sense to me.”

Imran Khan is a political figure whose personal life is also something of extreme interest for everyone, be it media or general public. Imran Ashraf’s wife, Kiran has taken to social media to wish her husband on the occasion of his birthday. She posted adorable picture with husband and penned down a sweet note on his birthday.

The talented guy of industry Imran Ashraf who is famously known for his character Bhola. His talents are not limited to just acting but he is also a great writer and wrote the mega-hit drama serial Tabeer.

He is coming again as a writer of his second play Mushq in which he will also be doing the lead role alongside the stunning Urwa Hocane.

The drama is directed by Aehsun Talish who has also directed Yeh Dil Mera. Aehsun Talish in an interview talked about Mushq and said, “Mushq is a play about love, about how can anyone hide or stay away from this notion of love, its smell, and aroma.  The fragrance envelopes you eventually, and that’s what Mushq is all about.”

Namak Haram was a drama that was highly anticipated when it was about to be released as it was the comeback of Imran Ashraf and Sarah Khan’s pairing. The drama did well on TRP charts and YouTube views and it finally ended in a way that the audience has not appreciated. For so may weeks, audience was waiting for Mureed who was the son of a rape victim to avenge his mother and finally bring Amin Qureshi played by Babar Ali to justice but the ending was stupid, abrupt and did not make a lot of sense.

In the end, Amin Qureshi easily killed Mureed and went to jail while Asma played by Sarah Khan gave birth to their son and brought him up as a single mother with a very sad life surrounded by her dead husband’s hallucinations.

Imran Ashraf is hosting Mazaq Raat right now and he had something to say about the ending of Namak Haram. He thanked everyone for loving the drama and an audience member wanted him to have killed Amin Qureshi. He said that the ending was not something people were expecting and it was definitely a suprise but they will meet in another show again.
