Talking about replacing Sami Khan, Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar said, “No, I didn’t replace him because of a personal grudge; Sami made a mistake, although he has apologised to me for his wrongdoing, but still it was a sin committed by him. I am telling this story for you; otherwise, I had no intentions to share it. I was casting for my drama serial Love, Life Aur Lahore. I finalised Moammar Rana, but producers didn’t want him; they suggested Sami’s name, who came to me for auditions, but I did not select him because it was the drama about the Walled City of Lahore, where the language is difficult. I knew he wouldn’t be able to do it better. Sami came and sat at my feet and said, ‘Sir, please do cast me; it will help me progress in my career.’ I instantly decided to cast him. 

Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar further added, “After 100 episodes, production called me and said that now the things are out of hands because Sami Khan has been demanding a lot of things. We also got to know he did a contract with Babur Javed where he had to do their dramas. He demanded tickets. He then asked for his family tickets; after that, the producers informed me. Sami Khan also wrote a text to producers in which he clearly said to fulfil his demands or replace him. I was shocked; I don’t appreciate people who betray me. He didn’t even receive my calls; he didn’t answer me properly. It was very kind of Moammar Rana, who accepted my request and acted beautifully. I am thankful to him”

If they have changed the writer’s concept then they have completely ruined the project. It is disrespectful towards the writer. I curse such people who do this to the writers”. Answering Waseem Badami’s question about Sonya Hussyn rejecting Meray Paas Tum Ho because of Khalil ur Rehman Qamar’s idealogy; the Pyare Afzal writer stated, “Even if she had accepted the role, the final ball would have been in my court because no director or producer can finalize the cast on my script without me having the final say.”

“Sonya Hussyn was never in my books for that role,” Khalil ur Rehman mentioned.

Khalil ur Rehman also stated that Sonya Hussyn hadn’t reached the calibre to do a script written by him. And that the reason she had rejected the script was entirely different to what Sonya said on air. “When Sonya met me in Lahore, I asked her whether she had refused my script and for what. Sonya had stated that when the role had been offered to her, Humayun Saeed hadn’t been cast as the male lead.”

Khalil ur Rehman Qamar also talked about Rehmat Ajmal and her disagreement with his idealogy even after being a part of his drama. “Since the drama had already become a big hit, Rehmat, wanted to earn more brownie points by standing out and making a different point. Had she agreed in the start, it would have been something else, but she promoted the show till the last day, only to disagree later.

Secondly, it is my sin that I never cast her. It is unfortunate. She is not disrespecting KRQ or any other writer; she is disrespecting Pakistan. We are given immense respect in India. I was once travelling on a train in India, and when a man found out that I was a writer, he made the entire train stand in my honor. Similarly, in Dubai, an Indian singer praised me for my song Zaroori and spoke highly of me and sat in my feet. Who are you? You are cursed. You are not insulting me; you are insulting talent and Pakistan.”

Khalil ur Rehman Qamar, the famous drama and film writer is known for his controversial fights on live television. He is nowadays in the news after he was kidnapped by a gang in Lahore. He was extorted for money and even filed an FIR against the gang before he appeared on the media and shared his side of the story. His kidnapper on the other hand accused him of lying and said that Khalil was never kidnapped and they have his indecent videos with the involved girl Aamna Arooj.

Yesterday an indecent video of Khalil ur Rehman Qamar was leaked with a girl who is alleged to be Aamna Arooj. The video went viral all over social media and the internet has been calling out KRQ.

Khalil ur Rehman Qamar has finally given his side of the story about the leaked video. He spoke to journalist Muneezay Moeen and he has shared what happened that day. He said that he was held at gun point and two people were recording him with the girl. The girl is an active member of the gang and she was willing to be a part of this sinister plot. They asked Khalil ur Rehman Qamar to perform an intimate act with the girl which they wanted to film. He was forced to remove his shirt and perform the act but he was in deep depression and could not do it. He told them that it is not possible for him and that is when they left him and did not force him further.

Khalil said that he did not file the FIR for five days because he was traumatized. He already told the police about this video but they did not mention it in the FIR as it brings a bad name to the country. He added that he has taken a stand for all the men who have gone through something similar.
