HSY is one of the biggest designers of Pakistan. He is also an actor and host and he has hosted talk shows and appeared in both films and dramas. He is now back with a new reality show and it is a concept which we have seen before in Miss Veet Pakistan.

The new show is called Super Diva and it showcases several contestants who are being groomed to join media. HSY is serving both as a host and as a mentor to these girls. Several tasks are given to these young contestants and they are showing their potential. The show looks like something of America’s Top Model’s Pakistani version.

The Internet, however, is not too impressed with the show. People think that the Pakistani culture is not being promoted through this platform. A netizen shared,”This looks like a copy of America’s Next Top Model.” Another added, “What is wrong with the English accents of these girls, they need a tutor.” One said, “This is not our culture and what are people supposed to learn from this.” This is the reaction:

Hassan Sheheryar Yasin, who is also famously known as HSY, is a remarkable Pakistani fashion designer and actor. His fabulous designs are loved by a large number of people. Social media users, fans, and a few Arab people are upset with HSY for wearing the pants made with the keffiyeh. Many are of the view that the keffiyeh is a rich culture of Arab people, and they wear it on their heads and shoulders. Many said that a Keffiyeh shirt or scarf is acceptable, but wearing Keffiyeh trousers is totally unacceptable, and wearing it is like disrespecting a rich culture. We all are waiting for the new drama Pehli si Muhabbat. In the drama, Maya Ali and Sheheryar Munnawar are coming together on TV after their hit film “paray hut love” , both the actors are brilliant and have done hit films and dramas

Lux Style Awards are among the most anticipated award shows in Pakistan, celebrating the forerunners in media, glamour and style.

Last year, Hassan Shehryar Yasin or as renowned, HSY had directed the ceremony after replacing Frieha Altaf and gained enormous appreciation for the way the function was carried out.

This year however, less than a month before the award show is expected to take place, it has been announced by HSY’s Team that he will not be directing the show this time. The message reads;

“With this message we want to inform you that Hassan Sheheryar Yasin (HSY) will not be directing LSA 2018. His decision is due to budget constraints against his creative vision given”.

So apparently, his ideas are out of Lux Style Award’s organisers’ budget. So they must have chosen a directer who can conduct the show less expensively and more economically. Let’s wait and see who that new creative genius is going to be.

HSY is one of the biggest designers and brand-owners from Pakistan. He has created a whole identity for himself and proved himself as a designer, speaker, actor and philanthropist. HSY is a true Pakistani at heart and he always gives importance to elevating the name of his country.

Talking to the FHM podcast, HSY shared how important this country is for him and how making Pakistan proud is his first priority. He shared that he will never leave Pakistan though he can afford to go. He added that this country needs to give hope to its young population as Pakistan has always been in a sensitive time. Hassan Sheheryar Yaseen, also known as HSY, is a biggest Pakistani fashion designer who has grabbed his name and starture through constant struggle and hard work.

He is already a famous name of media industry too due to his acquaintances with main stream actors . He had also done comparing for a Hum TV show.

This time the fashion designer has tested his luck on television . HSY has just done his acting debut in Pehli Si Muhabbat for ARY Digital.

Recently, he has come in the Ary’s show GMP Shan-e-Suhoor. He recently talked about his very famous character of Akram in the drama . Talking about his role , he said ” after such strict and negative role people started saying to me that you are not doing good . It is not your right to do so , they have started recognizing me as Akram .

He said , ” previously when I came here with the team of the drama , I was nervous that how it all happened but now after doing drama , I am happy ”

Well, yes fans are absolutely loving his acting , many didn’t expect him to be speaking urdu so well.

Fashion industry in Pakistan started flourishing post 1990. It is after the 90s that we got a concept of Pakistani fashion designers and our own brands. Many names came out of that area who proved their mettle worldwide with their unique designs and impeccable sense of fashion. These designers went on to make the country proud on international forums and today we have many names who have made it in the fashion world. HSY is definitely one of the front runners of the lot.

When asked what his opinion is on a huge influx of fashion designers in the industry and how he sees people from all walks of life labelling them as designers and starting brands, HSY said that many come in the industry, they throw money around, do a few celebrity shoots and try to establish themselves but you cannot remain in the industry without having perseverance and a good attitude.

He shared his experience of meeting the royal couple and said, “It was a privilege and an honor to have been one of the few to be introduced to Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. They were incredibly kind, elegant and so very gracious. Getting an opportunity to meet and interact with them was a true pleasure and an experience I will always cherish.”

We all have seen Hassan Shehryar Yasin who has insane energy and someone who always radiates positive energy but who knew the dark side of his life?

In his interview with Samina Peerzada, he talked about his life and shared how his parents were separated and after that, they faced many hardships.

Hassan Shehryar Yasin is the son of MNA Mian Hamid Yasin but his parents were separated and his mother moved to the US where he received his early education in New York.

HSY shared that his mother worked hard and did four jobs at a time to give him proper education and a better lifestyle.

He also shared the tragic story of his accident and said, “I got into an accident and I became blind for over a year. When I was turning 17, it was a car accident, I went through the windshield of the car and they took me to the hospital.”

“Instead of taking out the glasses, they compressed it and the glass got stuck due to which I became blind. I had 16 surgeries to get my eyesight back and that how I became a designer.”

Talking about his family he said, “I was not going to become a designer, my father was a politician and people in my family go in the Army or do CSS. My family was patriotic and I wanted to be too but I wasn’t interested in all that.”

“I wanted to do something else for Pakistan but I lost my eyesight. When my eyesight came back, I could only see red for some time. You might have noticed red colour in my collection because for me red is the colour of life,” HSY added.

HSY praised his mother and sister and said, “After lots of surgeries, I got my eyesight back and my mother and sister supported me a lot emotionally. After that accident, my life was finished. It was dark in my heart it was dark around me. I could feel the sadness around me.”

HSY decided to become a designer after recovery. He shared, “After recovering I told my mother that now I want to live my life and do things on my own. It wasn’t about designing clothes it was about beauty. I want to make things that make other people look beautiful. I want to be around colour and create things with me in my mind couldn’t see before.”

HSY is one of the biggest designers of Pakistan. He is a part of revolution which came in the industry and he is recognizable and loved for his skills and communication. He also successfully jumped into acting and did some diverse roles. He has spoken about his estranged father in FWhy podcast recently.

HSY was brought up single-handedly by his mother. His father had left them both as she brought him up and his sister in the USA. However she never pushed any negative thoughts in him regarding his dad and helped them reconcile years later when he was already 35 years old.

HSY revealed that his father nrver helped with his education, career or his sister’s marriage. But years later, he contacted him when he had a stroke and he had lost everything. His mother pushed him to look after his father and he did for 15 years. When his dad passed away, he sat down and forgave him. He realized how he still loved him and he thus never speaks ill about his father despite bearing so much pain from his side.
