Shamoon Abbasi and Sherry Shah starrer Durj, a film that was inspired by real life incidents in Pakistan and focused on the story of cannibals, was due to release on the 18th of October, all over Pakistan. However, in a rather unexpected and rather unpleasant turn of events, the central censor board in the country has halted the release of the film, a fortnight before it was due.

According to a post shared by the film’s official Facebook page, the censor board had some sort of objections and have halted the release in Pakistan for now.

“We are working on it and trying our best and have requested the authorities for another review, and if they find any thing unsuitable we can remove it as per their request,” read the official statement by the filmmakers.

Until the objections are resolved, Durj will not be releasing in Pakistan. However, the film, which was also due to release internationally across the UK, USA, Canada, Norway and Denmark, will do so, as per its schedule on the 11th of October.

In Pakistan, Durj, was being distributed by IMGC Global. However, with the censor board objecting to the release now, we’ll have to wait for this unique story to see the light of the day in the country, whose cinema industry is already faced by a draught ever since the ban on Indian films.

The gal creating media buzz in Pakistan and across the borders Mahira Khan after doing A- levels went abroad for higher studies. Mahira went to the Santa Monica Community College in Los Angeles. Due to certain reasons she could not complete the degree but has plans to finish it as she will get time.

The Waar star Shan, started his education career from Aitchison and then went to Newtown High School in New York. Shan has also done several courses in direction in USA.

MOHIB MIRZA

The handsome and brilliant actor Mohib Mirza did his intermediate from Commerce Institute of Business and Emerging Sciences (CIBES) and also went on to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce.

JUNAID JAMSHED

Junaid Jamshed previously a famous singer and presently a renowned religious intellectual pursued the field of media after getting a degree in Mechanical engineering from University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore.

AMINA SHEIKH

The super model/ actress Amina Sheikh completed her A-Levels and then majored in film and video production from Hampshire College, Amherst, Massachusetts.

IMRAN ABBAS

The charming guy Imran Abbas doing very well in his career, has s a degree in Architecture from National College of Arts.

Other than Sonya, the event was attended by a  few more renowned people from the industry such as Faysal Qureshi along with wife Sana Faysal, Sohail Javed, Humayun Saeed, and Fakhr-E-Alam. But among all these people Sonya successfully stole the limelight.

Asma Jahangir is a name not just familiar to Pakistan, this name resounds in our neighboring country just as much. Her death left people devastated on both sides of the border.

Lawyer and human rights activist Asma Jahangir died on Sunday after suffering cardiac arrest. She was 66. Her funeral will be held at Gaddafi Stadium on Tuesday. Born to bureaucrat Malik Ghulam Jilani and Sabiha Jilani in Lahore on January 27, 1952, Jahangir was best known for her pro-democratic and human rights activism.

Halloween is trending among Pakistani celebrities this year. Many parties were held to celebrate it with the latest addition bein Hassan Rizvi’s party. Aiman Khan and Minal Khan are two one-of-a-kind actresses of our drama industry because they are twins. There are no other twins who look the same in our drama industry. Sometimes it is very difficult to tell these girls apart but one things is for sure that both of them are very gifted. They are good performers who take their work very seriously.

Sanam Baloch made Aiman and Minal’s birthday extra special for them by celebrating their birthday on her Morning Show which airs on ARY News. Sanam invited Aiman and Minal’s entire family on the show. The parents expressed how they felt on this special day. Munib Butt is a very good friend of both the sisters so he was also invited to the show. He said that both the sisters were really good friends with him. Many other friends were invited to the show too who told everything about their friendship with their twins very candidly.

Aiman Khan will also be seen playing an important role in the upcoming play Tera Ghum Aur Hum in which she will most probably play the main protagonist Salahuddin’s sister.
