She also said that a marriage never breaks in happy circumstances and she and Iqbal have had their problems in their ex relationships but they never talk about their ex-marriages to each other.

She also spoke about her bond with her husband’s kids. She said that her husband has two sons who are grown up now and they both live in Canada for studies. She revealed that her own daughter also lives in the same neighbourhood and they have a good bond with her daughter. “Whenever I used to get tense, I used to think whether this situation is better or the one after this will be better, and if the situation afterward isn’t better then this situation is okay. Because I had daughters and I used to think that what if someone disturbs them because I might make another mistake. I used to think that in this situation one person is worried but in the other case, three will get disturbed. So in this way, we made it work for 36 years” said Bushra while talking about her thought process throughout these years

Bushra Ansari further added that “But sad to see people reaction. They just want to see us unhappy because we are famous and specially when somebody is over a certain age, how pathetic. I am telling you this is the best age to enjoy life when u are done with all your duties and alhamdullillah I have achieved so much in this age I don’t have any regrets if I am over 60.”

Talking about Shagufta, Bushra Ansari said, “you guys notice every small detail in the drama serial. I was going through your reactions about my character in Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum”.

She said, “The lady in KMKT was looking horrible. I was shocked to see my face on the camera. I said to Badar, ‘next time don’t give me such a character’, he promised that he will give me the character of a hip-hop aunty. My mother used to stop me from doing such characters but we have to portray all types of characters”.

She further added, “I just realized it was a horrible character. Also, I was seeing I had a french manicure in one of the scene. The scene in which Rubab threw us out was shot in winters and the scene in which she exposed her husband was shot in summer, so! I had French manicure on my hands, it was the continuation of a scene. We keep many things in our mind regarding continuity issues but still sometimes minor things can’t be eradicated. But I must say, you guys watch keenly and most of the time, your observation is accurate.

She further said that her character Shagufta is getting criticism for all the right reasons because there is no reason to hate Sharjeena but Shagufta is doing that and in her scenario she only questions about the character traits but doesn’t force the writers and directors to change it because it is not her job to argue with the makers after signing a project which is unethical.

Talat Hussain is a legend of Pakistan who worked not only as an actor but also gave his 100% to promote arts in Pakistan. He has a career spanning over decades and he worked in Pakistan, Hollywood and shared what he learnt with the new crop of talent in his home country. He passed away recently after a battle with dementia and his family, colleagues and fans are mourning this big loss.

Firdous Begum, the famous Pakistani veteran actress who shot to fame for her iconic role in 1970’s movie ‘Heer Ranjah’, passed away here on Wednesday. She was 73. Firdous was shifted to a hospital in Lahore on Tuesday due to a brain hemorrhage where she breathed her last on Wednesday, according to her family.

A leading lady of Pakistani films from 1970s to 1980s, Firdous started her film career in 1963 with a movie ‘Fanoos’ in which she had a supporting role. She got a break from movie ‘Malangi’ in 1965 and thereafter there was no looking back. Firdous performed in over 150 Punjabi, Urdu and Pashto films.

She married to fellow actor Akmal Khan who died in 1967. Later she married actor Ijaz Durani who played male lead in ‘Heer Ranjah.’ She was blessed with three children, two sons and a daughter.

Recently the legendry and famous actress Bushra Ansari paid a tribute to the late actress, by singing the famous song “Sun Wanjli Di Mithri Taan” from film “Heer Ranjha”.

Today, December 23 marks the 20th death anniversary of Malika-e-Tarannum (the Queen of Melody) Noor Jehan. Considered as one of the pioneers of Pakistani music, Madam Noor Jehan enchanted audiences with her mellow voice. She was a rare gem that shaped not only the Pakistani music industry but also worked in some of the greatest hits of Pakistani cinema such as Nooran and Intezar.

As her family and fans commemorate her services for the country, veteran actress Bushra Ansari pays tribute to the legendry Noor Jehan. Taking to her Instagram, Bushra Ansari shared that she feels lucky and emotional to wear Madam Noor Jehan’s sari which was gifted to her by her daughters. She thanked them for the beautiful gift.

She wrote “Feeling so lucky to wear the same sari of madam Noor Jehan, gifted to me by her daughters. Thanks to Nazia, Shazia and Mina. I am feeling so emotional with this beautiful gift. The same sari she touched and wore..in tarrunnum, on her 20th barsi.”

Bushra Ansari also made a video where she visits Madam Noor Jehan’s grave and pays her respects.
