Zahid discussed that he does not have any payment issues but he does know that others around him do. He wants the industry to pay everyone on time specially the junior artists so it’s important to put a foot down and then they will be paid on time. He did that once. When payments started getting delayed, He just didn’t turn up on set. The problem got sorted out very promptly after that.
He also emphasizes on the fact that rating is not the only thing that matters for which we keep running after the same stories of extra marital affairs and the relationship between mother in law and a daughter in law.
Humayun Saeed is the superstar of the entertainment industry who has been conferred with the Pride of Performance for his contribution to the industry.
In a recent interview, he talked about Pride of Performance and his feelings on getting this honour.
Humayun Saeed shared, “I think I am still learning and trust me I am not saying this just to show off. Still, when I am shooting a new film I am so nervous on the first day and it feels like I am acting for the first time. I am not acting this is the reality. So I am still learning.”
“If people say I did good work in Punjab Nahi Jaungi or in Mere Paas Tum Ho I would say that was my experience and I am progressing in my work. I am thankful to God and all the people who have worked with me and the audience who is still bearing me.”
He further said, “I never thought about Pride of Performance and I believed that I will get this award at an old age but when I got this I realized its value.”
Talking about criticism on Pride of Performance he said, “You are right that there is always criticism but in my case, I received lots of love and people were genuinely happy. Many actors called me and it felt like they wanted me to get this award and they were happy. Nobody said that I received this award at an early age however many said that I should have received this award earlier but I think I got this at the right time. If I have received this award at an early age then there must be lots of criticism.”
“I have seen success in the last 5-6 years and due to my drama Mere Paas Tum Ho I received lots of appreciation and people are happy for me. I feel like Mere Paas Tum Ho has played a great role in getting me this award”, he added.
Humayun Saeed also talked about his upcoming project London Nahi Jaungi and said, “We have to shoot another part of the film in London but we have no idea when we will resume the shooting. As soon as the conditions are better we will be back to shooting.”
“The first half of the film is very nice due to its scripts. It has the same feel like Punjab Nahi Jaungi. You can call it a sequel of Punjab Nahi Jaungi but the story is different. The characters are similar and yet very different in this film.”
Humayun Saeed wants people to support Pakistani movies and visit cinemas while following all the sops.
Sarah Khan has come a long way in the past few years. She joined the drama industry in 2012 and in only 8 years she has improved not only her acting style but there is a big difference in her looks as well. Sarah Khan has now attained the kind of stardom which makes the viewers tune in to her dramas. Many of the viewers are so used to watching the new look of Sarah Khan on the screen that they must have forgotten how different she looked in the plays she worked in, early on in her career.
Here is how Sarah Khan has transformed over the years.
Makeovers In Dramas
If we look at the kind of looks Sarah Khan sported at the beginning of her career and the ones she is seeing carrying at the moment, there is a huge difference. Over the years not only has Sarah Khan figured out what looks the best on her but her complexion is also lighter than ever. In this collage, the picture on the left side is from her first drama and the one on the right side from her recent drama. The difference is so evident even though in both the dramas, Sarah’s characters were somewhat the same. Both of them could have been given a simple look or a glamorous one.
Sarah Khan avoided wearing too much make-up when she starred in the first few plays such as Bari Aapa and Alvida. Nowadays, however, she focuses a lot on her look. Even if she is playing the most simple character as she did in Mere Bewafa, she makes sure that she looks her best. These looks are very different from the actual natural looks of the actress in the dramas she acted in, at the beginning of her career. Here are two pictures that show how Sarah Khan’s ‘simple’ look has changed over the years. In the picture on the right her character had just woken up, in the other look it is day time and there was definitely more room for putting on make-up. This basically shows that Sarah wants to look flawless on-screen whether it is the requirement of the scene or not.
As is evident from these two pictures, flawless for Sarah Khan means a fairer even skin tone with the help of make-up and filters. Perhaps, it is likely that she got some help from professionals in order to get skin lightening because there is a big difference in her complexion. This flawless look also means perfectly shaped eye-brows, proper contouring, perfectly blow-dried hair, and an overload of mascara even if she has just woken up in a scene!
In drama serial, Deewar-e-Shab Sarah Khan also played a simple character. It was a character much simpler than the one she played in her debut drama serial Bari Aapa. Yet, here is a collage showing Sarah’s look in Bari Aapa and another one from Deewar-e-Shab. The difference is as clear as daylight. In the scene from Bari Aapa, her character is out on a date, which would mean she could have looked far more glamorous. In the scene from Deewar-e-Shab her character is not even outside the house but this was her natural, everyday look for the drama. Once again, the skin lightening stands out more than anything else.
Difference In Styling
Sarah Khan transformed her styling completely in the past few years. When she started working in dramas, her clothes used to be simple and there was minimal effort that she put into styling her characters. Now, it is quite apparent that styling means a great deal for Sarah Khan. She starts sharing the different styles and looks she will be sporting in a project even before the project goes on air. In fact, this is like one of the enticing factors for the fans and she knows that too well. Here is another comparison collage that shows how Sarah Khan’s styling has changed over the years.
In her most recent drama serial, Sabaat Sarah Khan has focused a lot on her styling to the extent that there is a long list of designer labels that have sponsored the outfits she is wearing in the drama. She looks picture perfect in every shot to the extent of looking fake. This filtered look is Sarah’s favorite recently and one that is very different from the looks she was seen in her initial dramas.
Change In Complexion
Sarah Khan had an appealing wheatish complexion when she joined the industry. Unfortunately, like many other actors who feel that it is important to look fair in order to be accepted as beautiful, Sarah Khan has done whatever she could in order to lighten her complexion. She was a dusky beauty, in the beginning, now she has intentionally transformed into fair and lovely! Here is a collage with one screenshot from Bari Aapa, Sarah’s first play, and the other from Sabaat, her most recent play. The pictures are self-explanatory!
Sarah Khan has also worked on her poses and her selfie game is stronger than ever now. A comparison of these two selfies shows how she preferred being more fun and natural before and now even the selfies are completely different from before. We cannot emphasize the change in complexion enough because the difference is more apparent than anything else. Obviously, she has upped her make-up and styling game too. Her hair was always beautiful, now she prefers straight hair instead of layering which was her hairstyle in the early years. She has started outlining her lips to make them look more full and she prefers thicker eye-brows which are also the latest trend.

Ohkay so, what sets Kashf apart & makes it intriguing storytelling is that there are always twists & turns which take the viewers by surprise. I feel the way the writer has used the dreams to sort of giving hints plays a major part in allowing these little surprises to work even more. It’s a known fact that Kashf’s dreams are always materialized & when that doesn’t happen in some cases, it makes it a lot more interesting. I feel it’s a rarity when even after so many episodes, the drama-makers have kept a few surprises in store for those viewers who are invested in Kashf. I am glad that after a few slow & stagnant episodes, the story is taking a new turn.
Plan of Action
The opening scene of the episode was heart-wrenching because it sealed the deal that the only person Kashf thought would always support her ended up turning against her. I have said this before but I will say it again, the flip in Dilshad’s attitude makes her the worst parent. I actually thought that she may invest some time in figuring out what Kashf wanted to say but she refused to even listen to her daughter who has done so much for her. It was ironic that even after all that Kashf has done, she was being taunted & the thing that was used against her was all of her sacrifices. At that point, it was a done deal that Kashf actually was all alone & there was absolutely no one who was ever going to side with her.
Imtiyaz & the rest of the family members were in a bit of a fix because they knew things were getting out of hand & Asthana thrived & relied heavily on Kashf’s reputation & image. At that point, it seemed maybe Imtiyaz will get Wajdan married to Zoya in desperation because he would want people to not link Wajdan’s name to Kashfs but I felt relieved when that did not happen. I absolutely loved the way it was shown that no matter what transpires if your intent is pure, things eventually end up being in your favor. After all that Zoya did, the odds were in her favor & she was at the verge of getting married to Wajdan as Kashf had given up on the idea of their marriage but it was purely because of Wajdan’s sincerity that he made it happen & turned the luck in his favor.
The decision that Imtiyaz took was well-thought-out. He has already seen that no matter what he says or does, Wajdan always obliges & he will never stand in the way of Kashf & Asthana, this is why he decided to get the two married. Although Imtiyaz did Wajdan & Kashf a favor, it was only because this was the only option he saw was going to work & hit the bullseye. I must say, the way Imtiyaz approaches everything makes the rivalry between him & Matiullah quite interesting. I actually enjoy watching Imtiyaz outbidding Matiullah. Although Imtiyaz is mean & selfish, at least he is honest when it comes to his business. He never once wanted Matiullah to run out of business, all he did was open up an Asthana of his own which affected Matiullah’s earnings. In this entire scenario, Matiullah is definitely wrong because he is trying to bring Kashf down but then again, it’s all about the intent. Zoya & Matiullah lost this battle because their intentions weren’t pure to begin with.
When Wajdan & Kashf were getting married, I was actually scared that this might end up being a dream, or if not, it might end up on a bad note but fortunately, they signed the papers & officialized their relationship. However, the preview of the next episode suggests that Matiullah & Zoya are going to try their luck again for the last time but I really hope, Kashf & Wajdan withstand this last obstacle that is going to come their way.
I absolutely loved the Nikkah scene & the conversation of Wajdan & Kashf, their relationship is beautiful & the feelings they have for each other are absolutely sweet. Finally, for the first time, Kashf was happy. She also got to experience what being happy felt like. She of all the people deserves it the most but sadly, I have a bad feeling about what might happen before Wajdan & Kashf’s Rukhsati.
Phenomenal Performances
This episode was brilliantly executed, but because of the way things escalated, no one imagined that Kashf & Wajdan will eventually get married. I really hope that all the dreams Kashf has had about Wajdan & Zoya’s marriage do not haunt her. I am eagerly waiting to see the next episode because now when Kashf has finally gotten married, it would be heart-breaking to see her facing something grave that will drift her & Wajdan apart – especially when they are just about to be together & have actually gotten married. Hira Mani looked beautiful in a simple look & that shade of purple complimented her a lot. She looked like a bride from the olden era, absolutely simple but looking beautiful because of their glow & simplicity.
I must say, Munazzah Arif has been phenomenal as Dilshad, the shift in the behavior of the character that she has shown is commendable. She actually makes me resent the character of Dilshad. It seems Ashi is also following her footsteps because she too was calculating the profit & loss related to Asthana. Hajra Khan is another convincing actor in Kashf. Waseem Abbas, Hira Mani & Junaid Khan are carrying the drama on their shoulders. Sabeena Farooq has been phenomenal as Zoya & she really has the potential to elevate the level of any drama with her performance. Direction, writing & production value of Kashf remains top-notch. Eagerly waiting for the next episode. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Kashf.

A list comprising of the most memorable performances of the decade was posted on Reviewit a few days back. This was a list based on the personal choices of the leading writers on this website and more of an attempt to start a discussion about these performances. Everyone was asked to add more names and this was definitely by no means the final verdict. It was an effort of Reviewit.pk to appreciate and acknowledge the commendable work that has been done in the last 10 years.
Reviewit always welcomes criticism and this is definitely not the first time that a writer has shown ‘discontent’ with the views shared on this platform. This is however the first time that a writer thought it was alright for him to label the content writers on Reviewit in particular and others in general as ‘dogs who bark’! We are talking about this status shared by Faseeh Bari Khan which we would have gladly missed had someone not tagged us!
Faseeh Bari Khan, who says that he couldn’t care less about the opinion of these so-called bloggers and considers them dogs who bark needlessly, is actually quite welcoming of all the praise that comes his way through these ‘bloggers’ and ‘so-called critics’. We request people to visit his Facebook page to see that he has not removed the tags from any of those videos which are shared on his page that praise his dramas and him.
We understand that Faseeh Bari was ‘disappointed’ with the list posted on Reviewit but is this really the way to share your frustration? A writer who calls other people dogs for having an opinion different from his own thinks he somehow is intellectually superior. More upsetting is the fact that so many other writers who actually share content from Reviewit on a regular basis also agreed with him and did not call him out for his choice of words. The fact is that the writers on Reviewit are more honest than they are on any other website and they are the most read as well (Google statistics!). The reason for this is that Reviewit has never posted paid material or lists based on PR even though we have been repeatedly approached and sometimes even pressurized by PR agencies of different celebrities to write in their favor. Only because the leading writers do not share and post behind-the-scene information on the website makes the writers think that they can say whatever they feel like.
We would like to ask Faseeh Bari, would he allow the bloggers to use the same words for him too if they do not like his content? He is a great writer but he is also human so surely he can make a mistake every now and then too. And when he does would that mean the bloggers should also belittle him in the same manner? He has a wonderful sense of humor and he is great at satire, surely he could have voiced his frustrations and disappointments in a more meaningful and less demeaning manner. The writers on Reviewit.pk are known to be brutally honest when it comes to their opinion but they have never once used the kind of language Faseeh has in voicing his opinion.
The fact that he thinks that the writers on Reviewit are ‘burgers’ who despise his ‘masterpiece’ Quddusi Sahab Ki Bewa just goes to show that he has never even read the content on the website. Since the drama has not once been discussed on this platform in a positive or negative manner.
Faseeh Bari Khan you call us ‘jahil’ yet your status speaks volumes of how well-mannered and cultured you are yourself. It was also sad to see actors such as Seemi Raheel supporting him just because some of her favorites (including herself) were not on the list. Another writer Edison Idrees Masih also agreed with Faseeh’s notion. We also understand why Edison felt the need to do so because while the rest of the crowd was busy praising his work, Reviewit.pk was the only website that called him out for blatantly copying Bollywood’s Blockbuster Saathiya’s entire story and using it as a script for his Sajal Aly-Imran Abbas starer drama serial Noor ul Ain. We are sure that if Noor ul Ain had gotten positive reviews, Edison Idrees Masih would have never left such a comment.
At this point, fans and followers are flocking to Reviewit to remind the writers that they missed Hina Dilpazeer’s name, which is perfectly alright and they are more than welcome to do so, but it is upsetting that Faseeh has instigated it in a negative manner and the ripple effect is in full swing. However, those fans could have done so before his Facebook post since the comments section under that particular article was already open ever since it was posted. All the readers were time and again encouraged and reminded that they are free to add more names to the list, rather than making it all about the fact that the leading and experienced writers forgot to add the rest of the names. Faseeh should have used the same approach that instead of insinuating it in such an uncouth manner, he simply could’ve shared and added the names that he felt deserved the attention.
We mostly ignore such posts by writers, producers, and actors but this time around the language used in the status was simply unacceptable therefore it was important to give a reply to a writer who should practice what he preaches – an open-minded approach and less jahalat perhaps while choosing his wording. This is definitely not the first time the writers of Reviewit.pk have been attacked in such a manner but the only question we feel should be asked is when they don’t mind the praises, why is it so hard for them to accept the criticism, or in this case lack thereof because his masterpiece was not even covered on Reviewit.pk.
Since we believe in transparency and honesty, we would still like to thank him for stating ‘jinke ikhtiyar mai social media ka chabuk hai’, because it goes to show that he very well knows and acknowledges the power of Reviewit and we are glad to see that amidst his frustration, he ended up proving how credible we are! We have worked really hard for almost a decade writing credible content for this website and for ensuring that it stays among the best and surely your opinion about ‘bloggers’ and ‘critics’ does not demean their value. The very fact that you read this article, shared it, and you were so frustrated that one of your characters wasn’t acknowledged goes to show the value of the feedback Reviewit.pk writers give. When we write these articles, we make sure we are not writing to please anyone therefore when someone from the entertainment fraternity, in particular, criticizes, we accept it as a natural outcome.
We would also like to thank all those wonderful people who reached out to us in private and extended their support. It is because of people like you that we know hard work pays off, thank you. We are ready to move on, starting with new-found energy and motivation thanks to all your love.

They sent cheques to the houses of people over nigh and asked them to make video in their favor but people didn’t do that. O’Maa was my script that was aired on Mother’s day. They didn’t write my name anywhere the name of writer was Javeria Saud.

Sabaat written by Kashif Anwar and directed by Shahzad Kashmiri, produced by Momina Duraid, the main cast includes Mawra Hocane, Usman Mukhtar, Sarah Khan and Ameer Gilani.
Sabaat is the story of a strong-headed and ambitious women’s rights activist Anaya , a government servant’s daughter who comes from a modest background and understands the bitter truths of life.
Mawra says Sabaat is one of the most special projects of her life as the feedback has been much more than her expectations.
As soon as she read Sabaat she instantly knew she wanted to do this project. As the drama reflects our society.
Mawra’s character in Sabaat is of a shy yet fearless girl. In an interview Mawra described her character as, Anaya is loving but not very forgiving because of her clear distinction of right and wrong. These are some of her traits that she has imbibed while playing the character. Her character is patient yet courageous as she is both docile and fierce when it comes to her family.
It is an entertaining drama and not a sermon so the messages are intricately placed throughout the project.
Being a part of Sabaat has been a very fulfilling and rejuvenating experience for Mawra.
This was just what she needed at this stage of her career. The character has impacted her hugely on a personal level as she is ready to face the world so she is hoping that it will impact the viewers as well. Mawra feels like a totally different person after playing Anaya.
Mawra believes women are strong and are home maker so Inaya does not fight back with her in laws. When you marry or love, you become softer and someone else protects you, women in our society wants to sustain their relationship
Our society discourages boy’s going for seperate homes they threaten their children which Mawra thinks is wrong if certain situation has arised a man should be able to stand on his own feet.

Ohkay so, this episode of Prem Gali didn’t really take the story forward but instead got the viewers familiarized with what the characters have gone through in the past. It was a nice way of showing their vulnerabilities & also to establish the fact of how far they had come. Usually those who carry a tough facade are seen to be emotionless but that is never the case because usually strong people also have such moments where they fall weak & get affected by bitter words. The best aspect of this episode was definitely all the interactions that the characters had with one another in the first part of the episode because by the end, the mood got a bit grim.
The Judgements
Joya & Hamza have very much fallen for each other but after all that happened, Joya is too scared to even say it aloud to her friend. Fari’s analysis of Joya’s life & her predicament was perfect because as an outsider, she can clearly see how dictated & controlled Joya’s life is. Joya & Hamza’s interactions are not too pleasant but that clearly shows how they both are being that way only to cover up the fact that they like each other.
The main issue that was addressed in this episode was how a label of any sort is enough to haunt someone for the rest of their lives. It also gives people the right to say whatever they feel like based on their poor judgment. It didn’t take a second before those ladies rejected Joya because of the fact that Rahat, Shireen & Musarrat were divorced. That immediately made me think of how hard Shireen has struggled as a single parent, how she toughened herself up so that she could protect Joya like a father figure in her life would’ve done, but still, unfortunately the fact that she was a divorcee outbid all the hard work that she has done to date. It was a perfect example of how negativity consumes you & how it is a downward spiral because nothing can stop those bitter memories from resurfacing.
I kind of liked that they showed what actually happened in the past & how they all got divorced. Sadly, because of their attitudes their spouses found it hard to continue with the marriage, but still it was enough for me to feel for them all. It was nice to know that Shireen was always this strong & opinionated person whereas Musarrat was always an emotional one. In the flashback scene, Shehzad Sheikh & Jinaan Hussain gave such convincing performances, like they actually set the tone immediately to show how unhappy they were in this marriage. Shehzad Sheikh actually looked frustrated being in a relationship with a controlling woman & Jinaan Hussain actually picked up Saba Hameed’s attitude & demeanor perfectly. It didn’t take a second for me to actually see her as a present-time Saba Hameed because of the way she portrayed her younger version. Well done!
This episode did not give away much of the story but it was still interesting how they showed two different sides of life – the happy moments & then not-so-happy ones. In the initial part of the episodes, all the interactions, the dialogues were hilarious. I thoroughly enjoyed watching all of them being honest, open & upfront about each & everything that crossed their minds. I thought may be Tau Hidayat will get some kind of nice treatment from Shireen but oh well, even he wasn’t spared. The conversations regarding the names of the characters were my favorite, but I particularly loved what Luqman said about Haseena, like it actually seemed like a genuine mistake.
Well Acted & Directed Episode
This episode of Prem Gali was interesting but I really hope after these sad flashbacks, the story moves forward on a lighter note. Joya & Hamza’s chemistry & their bickering was cute. Sohai Ali Abro & Farhan Saeed’s dialogue delivery was superb. Saba Hameed so far is the best part of the drama & her interactions with Hatim/Waseem Abbas are always humorous. So far all the actors fit perfectly in their respective roles. It will be interesting to see where the story is headed. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Prem Gali.

Iqra Aziz has repeatedly spoken about all the things that Yasir does for her which makes her happy and explains what a doting husband he is.

Yasir Hussain Cooks For Iqra Aziz
Iqra Aziz feels lucky to have married a man who cooks great food for her. Iqra was never into cooking but after her marriage, she is slowly taking interest in it. However, Iqra only cooks depending on her mood, especially when she feels like it but for the rest of the days, Yasir covers for her. Yasir is a great cook and he too enjoys doing it for his beautiful wife. This was probably the very first special thing that circulated on social media about the couple because when Iqra started missing her usual Pakistani food, Yasir made sure that he cooked it for her when the couple was on their honeymoon in Sri Lanka.
Iqra Aziz Appreciates Yasir’s Positive Outlook on Life
This is yet another special trait of Yasir that Iqra absolutely loves. She feels it is very important for a person to have a positive outlook on life because that way, a lot of things are settled and shape up for the better. Iqra feels she gets to learn so much from Yasir only because of the way he perceives life and approaches it. She feels he has a very easy-going attitude when it comes to everything, which is something she finds absolutely special.
Yasir Hussain Has Made Iqra Aziz More Confident
Iqra Aziz was quite young when she joined the industry. She steered through her career on her own but being a young girl, she too had some inhibitions. She feels after meeting Yasir, she has attained more confidence because he has instilled it in her. Iqra has felt a drastic change in her personality because Yasir helps her build her confidence by making her believe in herself. Iqra too has groomed herself a lot but with the help of her husband, she definitely feels she has come a long way because Yasir tells her there’s nothing she can not do.
Yasir Makes Iqra Appreciate Herself As a Woman
Another beautiful aspect of their relationship is that Yasir constantly praises Iqra. He appreciates her presence and because he is a brother of 9 sisters, he has it in him to appreciate and respect women. Iqra feels Yasir makes her appreciate herself as a woman and she too feels because he was always surrounded by inspiring female figures all his life, he sees women in general as respect-worthy.
Yasir Hussain Wants Iqra To Study and Learn Some Skills
Be it an education of any sort like learning some skills or even just a painting class, Yasir constantly tells Iqra that she should broaden her horizon and do what she is passionate about. Iqra feels Yasir gives her good guidance and shows her the right direction when it comes to these things. Yasir is very much into decorating his house with paintings, therefore he wants Iqra to paint so that he can hang it on one of the walls of their house. Iqra feels wives always support husbands in pursuing their passions but in her relationship, it is Yasir who has taken up that role and continuously motivates her to do what she likes and the dreams that he sees for her.
This concludes the list of those special things that strengthen Yasir and Iqra’s bond as a married couple. What is your opinion about Iqra Aziz and Yasir Hussain? What is your favorite thing about them as a couple? Feel free to share your opinion.

There is no denying the fact that Ayeza Khan is naturally beautiful. She is also one of those celebrities who never get tired of trying out different make-up looks. No other Pakistani female celebrity gets so many photo shoots done as Ayeza Khan. There was a time when Ayeza Khan played it safe and mostly had the same look. That is something that has definitely changed over the years. Since Ayeza Khan has sported some of the most enchanting make-up looks in recent times, her fans expect nothing but the best from her. There were some make-up looks over the years which did not add to Ayeza’s beauty or compliment it.
Here are those 10 worst make-up looks which did not go well with Ayeza Khan’s features.
Excessive Highlighting
This make-up look was trending at the time when Ayeza Khan also joined the bandwagon and decided to go with the flow. While some other models successfully carried this look, Ayeza Khan did not look like herself in these pictures. There is a lot of highlighting on the cheeks and not enough color on the face. From a distance, this make-up look seems pretty cool but a close-up shows that this is definitely not the kind of make-up look that looked the best on Ayeza.
The Most Made-up Bridal Look
Ayeza Khan looks gorgeous in bridal looks. In fact, she has been the one who sported some of the prettiest bridal looks ever since she joined the industry. There have however also have been times when the make-up artists did not do justice to her pretty face. This bridal look is one such example of a bridal look gone wrong. The color of those lenses and the shade of the lipstick, in particular, gave Ayeza Khan an overall look which was not at all soft.
Glowy But Unappealing
Glowy skin is trending nowadays but Ayeza Khan’s look in this photoshoot was more dusty than glowy. It was almost as if the make-up artist tried to make Ayeza look like a mannequin. Ayeza Khan’s soft features did not look the same because of excessive highlighting and contouring. This is definitely not among her best looks.
Experimenting Gone Wrong
Ayeza Khan decided to experiment a lot when she did one of her photoshoots with Natasha Salon. This was one of those looks which went terribly wrong. It is clear by looking at this look that Ayeza cannot pull off the nerdy but stylish make-up look. The choice of the color palette is another problematic aspect of this look.
Ayeza Khan or Mehwish Hayat?
While looking at this picture one has a difficult time figuring out whether this is Ayeza Khan’s picture or Mehwish Hayat’s! Celebrity make-up artist, Akif Illyas has given Ayeza Khan some of her best bridal looks but this is not one of them. He has a tendency of changing the face cuts and features of the celebrities so much with his make-up techniques that sometimes they are unrecognizable. In this look, the hairstyle and the make-up are such that Ayeza’s face looks longer and at first glance, she looks like Mehwish Hayat. The contouring and blusher are also not on point and the choice of lipstick color is terrible.
A Little Too Traditional & Heavy
With new make-up trends and styling techniques, it is difficult to imagine how a make-up artist can give a celebrity with such beautiful features such a not-so-fresh but more sparkly look. This picture was part of a photoshoot that Ayeza Khan did for Nadia Hussain’s salon. Nadia Hussain’s classic glittery eyes and bold lips style did not suit Ayeza Khan at all. The hairstyle also looks too primitive.
Too Caked-up
The brides nowadays prefer a look which isn’t too caked-up yet Ayeza Khan looked anything but subtle in this bridal look. Everything about this look is wrong from the make-up to the heavy jewelry. The purple lipstick just adds to the reasons why this look is one of the worst Ayeza sported in the past few years.
The Unfinished Look
Looking at this bridal look it seems the make-up artist was in a hurry and therefore did not give the finishing touches to this make-up look. The lipstick if too casual for such a formal look, the styling does not compliment Ayeza’s face-cut at all and there is barely any contouring to define the jawline.
Ayeza Khan or Javeria Saud?
This is yet another one of those make-up looks which transformed Ayeza Khan to such an extent that in the first look it seems like this is Javeria Saud and not Ayeza! Whether it is editing or the make-up itself, this look does not pass as one of the best.
Overdone Eye Make-up
This look would have been perfect had it not been for the overdone eye make-up. The liner on the top and under the eyes gives Ayeza Khan an overall look which is not pleasing to the eyes. She looks like an angry woman ready to attack someone! One thing is for sure that such looks do not look appealing on Ayeza’s soft features.
Some of these make-up artists definitely did not do justice to Ayeza Khan’s pretty face but she still manages to pull many such looks through which others can’t.
Sabaat continues to disappoint because of a weak storyline. This isn’t the first time that a leading channel has used star power and great production values to get the attention of the viewers. The script is going downhill with every passing episode and right now I am honestly watching this play to find out how ridiculous Miraal’s track, in particular, can get. Once again after watching this episode I was wondering why Fareed and Miraal were the only ones who were not ‘struggling’ and of course Yasir Qureshi as well. Every Pakistani drama shows how the negative character usually drives the story forward but this drama has more than one such character. Not only this all the relatively pleasant characters seem to be in constant turmoil. There isn’t a moment of happiness in Hasan and Anaya’s life!
Hasan’s character had potential but he is too busy feeling sorry for himself. In this day and age, he does not have access to social media which does constantly remind you of other people’s birthday. Usman Mukhtar’s monotone dialogue delivery and this psychiatrist’s lack of understanding of his wife’s character is making this track a repetition of all the other relationships in Miraal’s life. There is absolutely no character development and Miraal’s naani visions proved to be another useless track! She needs to see a proper professional, one who does not fall for her. 20 weeks of one dead end after the other have made Sabaat a star-studded disaster. Mawra Hocane and Ameer Gillani have acted so well yet their track has nothing grand to offer.
Anaya’s Growth and Hasan’s Frustrations
Ever since Hasan and Anaya moved out of Hasan’s house, Anaya has been the one who is keeping things together while Hasan’s frustrations are never-ending! I felt for Anaya today when she was celebrating her promotion and had no idea what was going on in Hasan’s mind. Of all the people in the world, Hasan is actually listening to Atif. While Hasan’s frustrations were understandable, it was sad that he questioned Anaya about that phone call. Looking back at the kind of relationship they had and most importantly the kind of faith he had in Anaya, it was truly sad watching Hasan even think on those lines. Well, Miraal is still ‘winning’, Atif is doing all this to please her but the preview of the upcoming episode gave some hope. Hasan will hopefully resign from his present job and that conversation he was shown having with Anaya in the preview of the upcoming episode promised that he will finally realize his mistake.
There is no romance between this newly married couple at all. They are too busy making ends meet. Hasan keeps on thinking about the present situation and Anaya is too busy making chai and keeping him happy! It was finally good to see Anaya and her parents together. It would be sad watching Anaya’s father die but it seems that will eventually happen. Anaya’s scenes with her father have been the most emotional and some of the best ones. There were so many different directions in which this track could have been taken. Anaya and Hasan could have moved in with Anaya’s parents and lived a happy fulfilling life but they are struggling otherwise and Anaya does not even know that her father is unwell!
Miraal – The Narcissist
We have seen so many controlling and selfish characters in Pakistani dramas but I must say that Miraal’s character has to be the most shallow and uninteresting one. Miraal looks like she is the boss, walks like she is the queen and the director makes sure that her character is presented that way as well, yet this character is just plain dull! The poor lady needs treatment yet she is the one running the show. She is the perfect example of a narcissist but then why couldn’t her psychiatrist husband see that? The scene in which Harris suggested that they should have a baby made me laugh so hard! Usually, we see desperate women who want to hold on to their good-for-nothing husbands make such foolish decisions. Hearing a psychiatrist say that a baby will bring a married couple close was simply unbelievable! You would expect a mohallay ki auntie giving such a suggestion but definitely not a prha likha professional who has enough experience to know that having a child won’t change Miraal! Harris naivety is simply nonsensical.
I am glad that he is at least taking a stand and is not willing to quit his job but why can’t he see what Miraal’s issues are? These conversations between Miraal and Harris are so ‘plain’ that they suggest that both of them have the same mental caliber. I have said this before and I feel the need to say it every single time I watch a new episode of Sabaat – there was absolutely no need to show that Harris was a psychiatrist! The fact that he is a psychiatrist doesn’t add anything to his character. He did not help Miraal, he does not understand her issues and he did not even use his own intellect and experience to choose the right life partner for him.
Final Remarks
Tonight’s episode was basically a bit more of everything that we have been shown in the previous few weeks. The locations are grand and the picture quality is great but Sabaat lacks substance altogether. Anaya is turning out to be too-good-to-be-true as well, this character is definitely slightly more likable than the rest but it doesn’t have enough shades. She does not question Hasan’s frustrations or suggest a way out, her wife duties are restricted to making chai and khana. Surely someone as sensible as her who had such great problem-solving skills could have done more for her forever clueless husband! After watching Anaa, I was desperately waiting for Usman Mukhtar’s next project but I must say that I am beyond disappointed with the kind of character he chose to play.
Did you watch tonight’s episode of Sabaat? Do share your thoughts about it.
