Ohkay so, this episode of Visaal took the story towards the winding up of the drama. Even though they have taken a good span of time to do so, I am glad that the drama is finally ending but the fact remains that Visaal happens to be one of the best dramas of this year because of the newness of the plot & characters!
Developments:
This episode of Visaal revolved mostly around what Taimoor felt & wanted to convey to Pari. Molvi Ghufran clearly told Taimoor’s parents that Pari was engaged to be married but Taimoor persisted that he wanted a single chance to let her know what he felt. It was nicely conveyed that Taimoor felt guilty during the time he was away, it made things quite real because it showcased how people have conscience that does not let them feel at peace especially when they know they have wronged someone.
Akram continued to push his agenda by further trying to stain Pari’s reputation but Munna chose to ignore whatever he heard about Pari. It is nice to see that Munna has his own mind too & despite being innocent, he holds a strong sense of judgment that is why he doesn’t let anyone’s opinion change his own opinion about Pari. Munna did fall in love with her based on how Pari looked like but after interacting with her he has fallen for her innocence & it is sweet that he is doing everything to prove his true love.
Pari finally gave Taimoor a chance, she read his letter but she is also ready to meet him. She knows that he has a lot on his mind & he is looking for a chance to explain himself. I am sure by now everyone can predict who Pari will end up with but the way things are progressing makes it all very interesting!
Closing Thoughts:
Overall, this episode of Visaal was nicely done. I am glad the drama makers took their time in showing the plot before & are now taking the time to reach to the closure as well. It is good that we all can say that the ending of this drama won’t be rushed & things will wind up properly. I wish there was more to Pari’s character but still the mental & emotional growth she has shown over the past few episodes does make her a good character. Aiman Khan is a famous Pakistani TV actress now, but how she got the lead after 4 years working in the industry? In a recent interview with Sanam Jung, she talked about her journey.
Aiman Khan made her acting debut in 2012 with a HUM TV project, Mohabbat Jaye Bhar Main. She later continues working in projects as a supporting role, including famous Digest Writer, BayQasoor, Sehra Main Safar until her debut as the lead in 2016’s Khwab Saraye.

The Pakistani Academy selection committee selects films every year and send them for consideration in nominations for Oscar in the ‘Foreign Language Film Award’ category.
This year the Chairperson of Pakistani Academy selection Committee, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy who has bagged Academy awards twice and an Emmy award as well, has selected “Cake” to be submitted for Oscar consideration in the ‘Foreign Language Film Award’ category at the 91st Academy Awards.
The ‘Academy of Motion picture Arts and Sciences’ will choose the final nominees for all award categories in January 2019 however the director of the film Asim Abbasi was truly delighted due to the fact that the committee considered “Cake” worthy of representing Pakistan. He said that it is an honor in itself that his film is worthy enough of even the consideration of committee. He also wishes the Pakistani cinema to grow in the years to come and that the industry keeps on making content that has potential for global recognition.

Baba Jani Episode 4 Story Review – After watching this episode in particular, I would highly recommend this drama to all those viewers who are sick and tired of watching dramas which involve falling in love at first sight, women fighting over the male lead who might not fall into the “good looking” category but is rich enough to be extremely charming and attractive (character of course takes a back seat if the leading man is rich) and most importantly men whose character flaws are glorified like they are the most “charming” aspect of their personality! Baba Jani – Asfand – is truly a breath of fresh air!
Refreshing and Unpredictable
Tonight’s episode of Baba Jani was unexpectedly fast-paced and some of the developments in particular completely won me over. Asfand finding out that his sisters tricked him into leaving Mehwish was a pleasant surprise. This, once again showed that Asfand was not foolish but just someone who took his duties and responsibilities towards his family much more seriously than anything he expected from them. This development lead to Asfand leaving Mehwish with a goodbye message which was both meaningful and refreshing (yes I will be using this word a lot tonight!). The maturity, honesty and wisdom in Asfand’s personality is one which we get to see in older supporting characters every now and then in dramas but we have never seen another hero in our dramas who had this much grace. Although Asfand is a “nice guy” but his character is compelling at the same time. His actions are constantly driving the plot even though he is not fierce but he is definitely strong in his own way. Faysal Qureshi’s overall look, his body language and his performance has breathed tangible life into a character which is just plain beautiful!
A New Interpretation Of Love At First Sight!
We have seen heroes falling in love with their leading ladies the second they look at them but tonight what we saw was a rare case of love at first sight! Asfand has raised his younger sisters and is like a father figure to them therefore when he saw Nimra, his feelings for her were completely different. He wanted to shelter her and he thought the best way was to give her respect by walking out of there. His gesture before leaving was touching and one which was poignant and brand new. The way Asfand’s reaction was covered in this scene was brilliant. Apart from this, the expressions of everyone involved and the confusion couldn’t have been translated more convincingly on screen.
Characters and Situations
All the situations shown tonight, gave some insight into the characters. Asfand was hurt and disappointed to find out what his sisters had done but he was extremely forgiving. Nasir and Rakhshanda’s characters are clearly going to be two of those very few people in Asfand’s life who will be standing by him without any ulterior motives. Najeeba and Naila know Asfand’s weaknesses and they constantly tried to make him feel bad for marrying them off to men who were not their perfect match. They were shown coming to Asfand’s house to take a “break” and had a problem doing anything at all for their brother. Asfand’s decision to go ahead and look into the proposal Rakhshanda suggested himself was a direct result of loneliness more than anything else, something which was also shown convincingly. The fact that Asfand went to see Mehwish’s mother showed that he had moved on. This conversation too was refreshing!
Concluding Remarks
This episode of Baba Jani was the best one so far. With the exception of a confusing timeline, everything else was on point. The camerawork, locations, makeovers and the overall feel of this play continues to be extremely impressive. With the exception of Savera Nadeem everyone else looked perfect for their respective roles. The styling especially is pleasing, a much needed break from gel backed hair which are most often distracting. Asfand’s character and the way it has been translated on-screen is the best thing about this drama. All the performances have been spot on throughout which is definitely an added bonus. The production values of this drama gives it the edge it needs. The director has also done his job really well. I would especially like to thank Faysal Qureshi for not banking on done-to-death scenarios and trying out something new, since this is his first production.
Iqra Aziz has been making waves with her talent and beauty for quite some time now. She rose to extreme fame with her Ramadan special Suno Chanda. The actress knows how to make a bad character look good which she did with Naima in Khamoshi and also did a great job with the happy go lucky Jiya in Suno Chanda.
The young actress also has groomed herself extremely in the fashion department. She looks ethereal, be it a photo shoot or ramp walk. She is enjoying some time off work right now as she is vacationing in Turkey. With scenic beauty in the background and Iqra Aziz in the front, her vacation pictures are extremely beautiful. Turkey is a very famous vacation destination for Pakistanis. Our celebrities also are seen vacationing there very often. The trick ice cream has been going viral for quite some time now. The ice cream vendors trick the customers into thinking that they are holding the ice cream when they are actually not. It’s a very creative illusion and people often enjoy having ice cream from there. Mahira Khan visited the stall and she was superbly surprised. The twin sisters Aiman and Minal Khan also had a lot of fun when they visited the ice cream stall.
