Pakistani film industry has revived and we have watched very different content coming out of the cinema this year. Kamli for example was a very women centric film with Saba Qamar in the lead ad it did really well on the box office considering its niche market. Otherwise masala films like London Nahi Jaunga and Quaid e Azam Zindabad also earned enough to turn into block busters. And right now The Legend of Maula Jatt is reigning supreme. Among all these releases the film Joyland which won big awards at the Cannes film festival and was the first project from Pakistan to ear such accolades was set to release in cinemas.
Joyland was slated to release on 18th November in Pakistan. It was cleared by the censor board at first and the team was busy in promotions.
