He said that a lot of times he refuses lead to perform something “off the beat” because he’s not really obsessed with performing the main leads only. Asad said, “Of course, I understood that my character wasn’t doing much in the story. The story was going to be revolving around Feroze’s character, his journey, the lifestyle he has, the flashy clothes he wears. I took it on as a challenge.”

He further said that he did know that critics won’t point their fingers towards Dayaan. He also said that his real sister say that he expects him to be a brother like Dayaan.

A rising Pakistani actor Asad Siddiqui recently gave interview to BBC Asian Network. He spoke up about how Pakistani dramas are women oriented and how they portray women in dramas is completely wrong. He wishes to see more dramas which with female antagonist.

Asad Siddiqui talking about toxic masculinity shared his opinion,

“Unfortunately, this thing happens all over the world. Men get really affected by rejection that how can a woman reject me? why not? Everybody has right to say no to you. I personally say, one has to learn how to say NO.”

On asking about why men behave in a certain way, he shared his opinion,

“All these dramas that we do we talk about women empowerment. I am sorry to say, there is no women empowerment because the country where you live in and the culture, it’s really different from what we are trying to show. Har dramay mai ap dekhte hain larki maar khaa rahi hai, uspe zulm horaha hai. But if you want to these kind of women empowerment then there so many other examples. We need more roles like the one Saba Qamar played in Cheekh.”

Upon asking about, how male roles are important in these dramas? He responded:

“Most of the dramas are women oriented and men are usually the antagonists for them. Why do you have to show men so antagonists all the time? Maybe 20% dramas you show where woman is antagonist but no 80% man is antagonist, why? Why this inequality? So, you have to come up with the content which can be relatable in general public. We really need to work on our content becuase Hum dekhate kuch hain, kartay kuch hain, sochte kuch hain aisa nahi hona chahiye.”

Actor Asad Malik got arrested on Monday at Allama Iqbal International Airport when he was carrying an automatic gun with an expired license. The actor was travelling from Lahore to Karachi when the gun was found in his luggage. He was then detained by the ASF and taken into custody.

The actor has now been granted bail against the surety bonds of 50000 rupees. He was taken to the court in Katcheri Cantt. where he was granted bail. The audience of Pakistan is found all bind with the two drama channels majorly these days, to be specific, HUM TV and ARY Digital, which too are making the full use of the opportunity and coming up with hit drama serials back2back.

One of the most eye-catching drama serial on ARY Digital these days is Shehr-e-Yaaran which is a beautiful write up of Riffat Siraj and was previously dramatized under the title of Tawaan.  The direction is been done by Mohammad Iftikhar Iffi while the production is done by Six Sigma Productions. What makes this drama amazingly appealing is its cast which includes Firdous Jamal, Abid Ali, Agha Ali, Ushna Shah, Kaif Ghaznavi, Saadia Ghaffar, Diya Mughal, Shaista Jabeen, Yasir Shoro, Mehak Ali, Shaheen Khan and others. The drama is basically a daily soap that goes on air four days a week that is, Monday to Friday.

Agha Ali, an emerging actor in the drama industry is now all known for his absolutely great acting in some hit dramas like Teri Nazar, Main Haari Piya and Halki Si Khalish, will be seen in a lead role coming up with a new shade of his acting skills on ARY Digital. It is quite long to have seen Abid Ali on screen, so for his fans, it’s a wonderful news to have him back again on TV.

We have seen many celebrities from past few days gathered and practising some dance moves for their friend and ARY’s vice president Raza Moosavee’s upcoming nuptials. Raza has finally gotten Nikkahfied to Rimsha Kohati and many of their friends were present at the blessed occasion. Both the groom and the bride wore colour coordinated outfits. The bride looked elegant in white as she kept everything super simple with some traditional Jhoomar and jewellery to compliment the whole look.

Raza Moosavee also wore white on the occasion. The couple looked so much in love and truly look like a match made in heaven. Here are some pictures from their Nikkah ceremony:

Ary is producing some very quality drama serials for Pakistan, but if new dramas don’t bring anything different to the plate, then they get lost in the swarm of Pakistani dramas which are appearing a dozen a day.

This time Ary is promoting its new drama “Badnaam” that it is a unique tale which will tug the deep strings of your heart with all that happens during the course of its characters’ journey.

This serial features Sanam Chaudhry, Ali Kazmi and Zhalay Sarhadi as the leads. The longer teaser shows a tale of love, passion and conflicts. Let’s see how the drama manages to capture its viewers.

The morning shows of various channels cover a variety of subjects and one of the popular subject is the shaadi (wedding). As far my limited knowledge this trend was first started by Dr. Shaista Lodhi when she hosted the morning show of ARY Digital some six seven years ago.

But whoever started this trend it turned out to be so successful that nearly all the morning shows hosts (apart from few exceptions like Nadia Khan, Farah Saadia, Juggan Kazim) also have to follow it for the sake of high TRP.

Following the same trend in a new way (old wine in a new bottle) now two channels are collaborating to celebrate what claimed as the biggest wedding of the Pakistan. These channels are ARY Zindagi and ARY Digital. ARY Zindag’s morning show Salam Zindagi‘s team and host Faisal Qureshi will be larke wale (لڑکے والے) while ARY Digital morning show Good Morning Pakistan’s team and host Nida Yasir will be larki wale (لڑکی والے). This whole wedding will be a live telecast starting from 2nd May 2016 at 9 AM SHARP on both the channels ARY Zindagi and ARY Digital. It will be interesting to see that who are the bride and groom for this wedding.

With 14th August just around the corner, ARY decided to get creative and initiated a campaign, “Shukria Pakistan” , encouraging Pakistanis to thank their homeland for everything it has given them. The campaign encourages people to step up and do something to show their love for Pakistan.
