Ali Rehman Khan is recorded using lines stating, “Aapko pata hai main kaun hoon? Aapne kabhi mujhe TV pe dekha hai? Aap employee hain, aapka kaam hai meri baat maanna.” (“Do you know who I am? Have you ever seen me on TV? You are an employee, your job is to do as I say.”)

In response to Ali’s angry rants, the employee is repeatedly asking him to not be upset (angry) and that he isn’t joking with him.

Ali Rehman Khan starred in an Independent Film named Slackistan back in 2010 but the movie got banned in Pakistan because the director had refused to make the cuts in the film that were requested by the Central Board of Film Sensors.

Recently Ali Rehman was asked about Slackistan by Hassan Sheheryar Yasin in his show Tonight with HSY. Hassan asked Ali why the film never got released in Pakistan because there have been other films which were banned at first but then got unbanned namely Verna etc. To this Ali replied, that it was his first movie so when it got banned he was heartbroken. He said it was a very small budget film but the ban in Pakistan turned out to be favorable for them because it led their film to international platforms.

He further added that if the would have been released in Pakistan then it wouldn’t have gotten international exposure. When a movie which is made in Pakistan and gets banned the international radars get active.

Slackistan never saw light of the day in Pakistan but it was released on multiple occasions and festivals in countries like London, Abu Dhabi, New York City, San Francisco and Goa.

Guru is a great new addition to the television screens. Ali Rehman Khan is playing the titular role of Guru Sattar and he has won hearts with the way he has portrayed the character. Ali Rehman Khan stepped into the field as an actor in drama serial Rishtay Kuch Adhooray Se and later starred in several drama serials including Diyar-e-Dil, Khaas and Bewafa.

Social media today saw a video of actor Ali Rehman Khan going viral, where the actor was seen yelling at a McDonald’s employee, asking him if he knew who he was and if he had seen any of his dramas?

Social media reacted violently to the video. Not only did it become one of the top trends in Pakistan but people also called out Ali Rehman Khan for playing his celebrity card and demanding to be dealt as a VIP in a public place.

However, it seems, there was a whole different scenario behind the video, as Ali Rehman Khan, himself, took to social media and made it clear how the entire video was part of a social experiment.

Explaining in his video, Ali stated that the entire scene at McDonald’s was staged to show how we need to react and stand up against the VIP culture that exists so blatantly in our society. Ali said that change needs to be triggered in our society and people need to speak up and put a stop to this culture which will be trending under #TumJantayHoMainKaunHoon

Ali went on to state how it was important that we reacted to VIP culture in actuality rather than only on social media and teach our children how this needed to be stopped for the future.

Ali Rehman Khan is a Pakistani actor who appears in Urdu films, television series and theater plays. He has won two Hum Awards and has been nominated twice at the Lux Style Awards. Parday Mai Rehnay Do will star Hania and Ali as the main lead and is based on a script written by Mohsin Ali. Initially Mohsin had wanted to direct the script himself with Ahsan Khan in the lead but somehow things didn’t materialize and Wajahat Rauf came on board as the director and producer for Parday Mai Rehnay Do.

Wajahat Rauf has already given 3 family entertainers on the box office. Ali Rehman Khan is a new addition to our television screens, he is playing lead role of Arsal in ‘Rishtey Kucch Adhoray Sey’ on HUM TV. While Ali may be a new name and face for television audience, he is not new to acting. Ali belongs from Islamabad, and has graduated from University of London, UK. By profession Ali works as Project Manager at International Organization of Migration in Islamabad.

Ali started acting from theater in Islamabad and then he acted in films. His first movie Slackistan created much hype in media as it was denied censor certificate by Central Board of Film Censor (CBFS) in 2011, and eventually the film was not released in cinemas. Slackistan was produced by Islamabad based actors, cast of slackistan also includes Shahahbaz Hamid Shigri, Aisha Linnea Akhtar,Shahana Khan Khalil, Osman Khalid Butt, Khalid Saeed and Rafey Alam. The film was denied censor certificate as producer of the film refused to make cuts as requested by CBFS. The CBFS objected to strong language of film and ultimately film failed to receive a censor certificate.

Ali’s second film is Gol Chakkar, which is also produced by Islamabad based fellow artists. Gol Chakkar was completed in 2011 but its release date is still not clear. Ali has played the role of a guy with an unusual name “Candy”.
