In the video on being asked about Kashmir he responds, “I say Pakistan doesn’t want Kashmir. Don’t give it to India either. Let Kashmir be independent. At least humanity will be alive. Let people not die. Pakistan doesn’t want Kashmir. It can’t even manage its four provinces. The big thing is humanity, people are dying there, it is painful to see.”

His video became viral in no time and people responded to his statements. Azad Jammu Kashmir went on to ask Afridi to refrain from talking about such sensitive issues. While, Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah questioned Shahid Afridi’s statement on Kashmir being ‘celebrated in sections of the Indian media’, underlining that the former Pakistan cricketer clearly supported freedom for Kashmir and criticized human rights violations.

Afridi had hurt his right hand when he was fielding during the second innings of Friday’s playoff match against Karachi Kings. He received 12 stitches on his hand after the injury. In a video message, he confirmed his withdrawal from the final match, saying doctors have advised him to rest for 10 days.

Today, Shahid Afridi has given his opinion on Abdul Razzaq’s comment as many of the viewers spotted him laughing on those remarks. Shahid Afridi said, “I felt scared yesterday, we were sitting in a conference where Razzaq was saying something, I didn’t hear what he exactly said and started laughing. In my mind, I was sure that he must have cracked some joke as per his nature but when I saw the clip, I felt really bad. I would now text Abdul Razzaq to say sorry on what he said”. Almost everyone has seen by now the vulgar song with obscene scenes in the upcoming movie “Mein Hoon Shahid Afridi”. There was a lot of debate even in this forum about how appropriate or inappropriate it was and many thought that it was a stunt to get some much needed publicity for the venture.

The latest reports are that Shahid Afridi has demanded that the producers should cut all the obscene scenes from the film before it is released. We all know that Shahid Afridi is very conservative by nature. Since this movie is related to him directly so he can’t possibly allow such scenes to be a part of it.

Shahid Afridi said, “”I had given permission for the film with an aim to give kids some positive healthy entertainment, to divert their minds towards cricket and it should not have obscene things.”

He also added, “I want to tell the people that the film is not related to my life…A lot of kids and families would go to watch the movie because of me and if they see things like that they will feel bad, so I hope they remove those scenes and run the film.”

Shahid Afridi’s statements clearly go to show that this film is NOT going to be about the life of Shahid Afridi but the story actually is that the film is about a boy who idealizes the icon and wants to be like him.

Shahid Afridi further added that he was not part of the movie also, he was asked to make a guest appearance but he refused, “”I had declined the offer to act because my elders are against acting, nor did I charge a single penny from them,” he said. Shahid Afridi had to make this statement because the promo of the movie suggested that he was part of the film.

The film has already been delayed due to technical problems and now it seems like there are more problems ahead.

SAF was founded in March,2014 and has been very proactive since then to alleviate pain, sufferings and poverty throughout Pakistan. It’s charity hospital in Kohat, Sahibzada Fazal Rahman Charity Hospital is one of the cleanest and best equipped hospitals in NWFP. There have been many hopeless families who have returned to health there

The foundation also operates a number of schools to provide education to poverty stricken children who would otherwise have no access to books. Maybe it’s because he is a father himself, but the majority of beneficiaries of SAF are impoverished kids.

There are many famous names who have collaborated with Shahid Afridi in his various charitable projects. I don’t think there could be a better use of one’s hard earned name and fame than this.

A couple of months ago a news went viral that star pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi’s family approached Shahid Afridi’s family for his daughter’s hand in marriage. Taking to the popular social media site Twitter, Shahid Afridi said that both families are in touch regarding the matter.

There were reports that Afridi’s daughter and Shaheen were soon to be engaged after the two families, who have well established relations, reached an understanding. While Afridi confirmed that he was approached, he did not officially announce if the proposal was accepted. Shaheen’s father, however, said that Afridi’s family had agreed to the proposal, adding that a formal engagement ceremony will be held soon.

Shahid Afridi in a recent interview confirmed that his daughter is now engaged to Shaheen Shah Afridi.

“My daughter is engaged to Shaheen, Allhamdulillah. We are not relatives but Shaheen’s family was approaching us from last two years for the proposal. I asked my daughter and we made the decision altogether. My daughter currently completed her FSC exams.”, added Shahid Afridi.

Shahid Afridi is a former Pakistani bowling allrounder renowned for his blistering hitting of the cricket ball world-wide. During his playing days, people never expected a match without him. He is an era of cricket whose stats cannot justify his services to the game of cricket.

Lately, Shahid Afridi taking to his official twitter account cleared the air regarding his daughters social media accounts. In a twitter message Afridi said that he wanted to clarify that none of his daughters has any social media accounts.
