Yasra Rizvi in her recent interview with “Tabish Hashmi” talked about “Churails”, the series in which she is recently spotted.

In her recent interview Yasra Rizvi reveled that she was casted at the lost moment in the web series “Churails”.

“I was not the first preference or choice of the team, unfortunately some issues popped up in the casting and then auditions were held. I was one of them who gave the audition”, she added.

Furthermore, Yasra mentioned that ” Around 25 to 30 people gave the audition and mine was selected. It wasn’t like anyone requested me to do so, I was approved as a cast member because of my audition which I gave. I was not the first choice”.

Yasra further shared that It was a great experience for me to work in “Churails”.

Yasra Rizvi while talking about her campaign against forced marriages, mentioned that “When I posted the picture from my campaign against forced marriages on my social media account, the audience had mixed reviews. Many of the netizens passed negative comments on my picture while others understood the actual meaning behind the picture that it’s a visual form of forced marriages.”

“The message we wanted to deliver was that if you snatch someone’s freedom and impose something forcefully on a person specially a relation, then a person actually looks like this. But not everyone understood this. While sharing the picture on social media I had a thought in my mind that if such things sounds so scary, then why such things are still practiced, why aren’t we taking a strong step to stop such acts. This is not right at all”, added Yasra Rizvi.

“People ask me a lot about my weight loss but I don’t have an answer to give. When I was seven years old my eldest brother died and it was a big tragedy of my life. From that time, my adult life started and I developed depression and all my life I have dealt with it.”

“With this, there came lots of comfort and binge eating and by the time I took my weight seriously, I gained 20 kgs.”

She further said, “My weight fluctuated from 83 to 60 kgs. I took my health and mental health serious but then I lost my youngest brother six years ago.  By the time I started taking weight loss serious it involved lots of therapy, medications and lots of things. So, my weight loss is not common. I had to work on my weight loss rigorously and still, I do.”

“Me and my husband are very good friends. He is very close to me. We met at the stage of life when he came from Abbottabad, his sister is my friend who is a fine artist and actress. “In my life, there were many ups and downs and he was there for me. So we decided to get married because we couldn’t think that we can marry someone else.”

She further added, “I think for a person like me there is nothing more long-lasting than love so this was a wise part of my decision that I gave priority to friendship in marriage and he stood with me.”

Yasra Rizvi shared how people called her with bad names which hurt her in the past. “I didn’t care about people but I was hurt when people called me ‘paedophile’ for marrying somebody ten years younger than me. I have been called a ‘cougar’, ‘sex addict’, ‘maniac’ and somebody who has been interested in a younger man. We never called men with such names even they marry younger girls.”

Yasra Rizvi got involved in a serious controversy when the promos of Dunk were launched. From the promos, we got to know that Yasra is playing the character of the wife of Professor Humayun who was an alleged harasser, whereas in real life Yasra exhibits herself as a true feminist. “It is an angel and it is true that people couldn’t differentiate between actor and character, even though these are two very difficult things. The actor’s duty is to perform different characters. But the people who criticize, after watching the words, grammar, and structure of their criticism I get to know that these people are at least this much-educated and have this much exposure that they can differentiate. However, taking a decision about an actor’s life just after watching a clip is a habit of canceling culture and exclusion”

“Now I did “Dunk” because I thought that I had already heard this story before the script came to me and I read this news keenly. Death of a man is not collateral damage for me” Yasra further added “Till now, no other drama had this much extensive discussion on the landscape of harassment. In the first 6,7 episodes, it’s not about truth and lies it is all about consequences. First of all, it’s a world where everybody has believed a woman, tables are turned and his wife and daughter are getting affected, now not all innocent people are watching this drama and those who are involved in such acts are also watching the consequences. Yasra Rizvi spoke about how important religion is and how celebrities especially from showbiz refrain from speaking about religious matters. She also gave an important reason why more celebrities need to speak about religion.

She said that religion is for everyone. Celebrities are scared that people will judge them if they started speaking on these matters. But one should not try to be uptight righteous and turn people away from Islam. We need to take ownership of our religion, speak about it and actually implement it in the true sense.

Highlighting her personality Yasra revealed that ” I get angry very quickly, I can’t tolerate inefficiency, maybe It’s because of my age because you can tolerate such things at a young age, It’s difficult to tolerate such things now”.

There is a certain limit to endure everything, Yasra added.

Yasra further mentioned that “One day at night, I wrote a poetry in anger and the next day I woke up, I became a poetry writer for people”. The poetry which I wrote without any preparation or concentration was praised by the people, she added.

Yasra replied saying,” I am a bit weird and make issues on little things and I am really difficult to work with. Mostly the directors have to compromise a lot while working with me, maybe that’s the reason why I get few offers for the new projects”.

Later in the show, the host asked what she sees in the script before signing for the project. She said, “Honestly I don’t receive a lot of scripts, maybe people are scared to work with me or maybe because of my voice and my expressions. I have a different, serious sort of voice and expressions”.

She further added, “People prefer fun-loving actors on the sets because they want to enjoy while working, I remain so reserve and serious on the sets. Someone has recently told me that I am serious and boring. So probably I am not fun to be with and I am less popular than other actresses that’s why I don’t get a lot of projects “.

Yasra Rizvi is a force to be reckoned with. She is super talented and a very sensitive soul. From writing poetry, giving strong performances to directing great projects, Yasra Rizvi is doing her part and she is succeeding at every single one of it. She has always been unconventional as she had a very simple wedding, she does not like to do big celebrations for anything and she was the same when she lost her mother at the very start of this year.

She gave an interview to Maliha Rehman and shared how she arranged a very unconventional funeral for her mom. She said that she did not cry loudly as is the norm in Pakistan. She remained calm and kept talking to her mother. Yasra revealed that she kept telling her mother that she had done great and she will be fine ahead. She took her mother down to the ambulance with the same calm and sent her to the journey of the next world.

Yasra also shared that her son has been a blessing and a signal from Allah to live on in a time when she was engulfed with darkness. She said that she was so sad that one Shab e Qadar she asked Allah to give her a signal if she should live or just call her back. That is when she conceived her son and now she considers him a signal from Allah SWT and he is the one who calms her down.

Yasra Rizvi got married to the love of her life Abdul Hadi in 2016. The couple shares a good bond of friendship and love.

Yasra Rizvi and Abdul Hadi are celebrating their third anniversary. She posted a cute video of her husband and captioned, “How is it being married to me? @abd_ul_hadii spills the beans. Happy 3 years love. May we prosper and grow together forever! P.s. I continue to be ‘thrilling’ and he knows the art of being truthful without offending me or anyone in very few words, that’s how it’s working out!”

Abdul Hadi shared his experience of being married to Yasra and said, “It’s very thrilling you get to experience many things and emotions which you are not able to experience in normal life.”
