It is definitely worth appreciating that Hira Mani likes to keep it organic and raw when it comes to her appearances in dramas. She is very comfortable in front of the camera therefore she doesn’t mind giving up on makeup when the situation calls for it. However, in the drama serial Mohabbatain Chahatain, she is playing the role of a simple housewife who has dedicated her entire life to the well being of her family. She is now at that stage where her marriage is falling apart and she can not do anything to save it.
Hira Mani has opted for a bit simpler route than the camera could do justice to. In most of the scenes, she looks messy and unkempt. The hair color is also not adding much appeal to her. At the beginning of the drama where in some scenes she did wear a bit of makeup, the makeup artists fail to do a decent job in enhancing her natural beauty. Looking simple is one thing but literally having a sweaty face is another.
Armeena Rana Khan
Armeena Rana Khan has played the role of a glamorous woman who likes to stir the pot. She has lived up to the stereotype where a lot of makeup means a woman has bad intentions. Her over-the-top hair color along with her elaborate wardrobe which most of the time do not even look good has made her character look like a caricature. The blond balayage is not suiting her at all. In almost all the scenes, whether it is shown to be the wee hours of the morning or past midnight, her eyeliner doesn’t budge. The shimmery eyeshades also give her a messy look and her overall choices have not been amazing.
Zubab Rana
Zubab Rana is one of those actresses who definitely can look good in a lot less makeup. This is exactly why in the drama serial Fitrat, Zubab Rana’s makeup was minimum, but there came a point where apart from looking like a no-makeup look, it ended up looking like she hadn’t washed her hair and face for weeks. Her overall look was greasy and unappealing. She naturally has fuller lips, therefore giving her an unblended lip line made her lips look appear bigger and messy.
The makeup artists also did not bother to fix her eyebrows and give them a decent shape. In a lot of scenes, the foundation coverage was poorly done and even if she has decent skin, some coverage definitely felt like a necessity. The character of Rafiya was of a simple girl, therefore the overall simplicity was understandable but unfortunately, her look was more greasy and unkempt rather than simple.
Mashal Khan
Mashal Khan has made quite a name for herself in a short span of time, however so far the character she has gotten are mostly negative where she is seen chasing after men who are emotional invested in other women. She played more or less similar roles in Mere Humdum, Thora Sa Haq, and currently on-air Dulhan. Mashal Khan is a confident actor however her makeup artists definitely make it obvious that they struggle to give her a decent makeup look.
Mashal Khan is blessed with clear skin and has a structured face, therefore she definitely requires a specific technique of makeup to have her beauty enhanced. Mashal Khan’s makeup artists usually give her a flat face and do not add any dimension to bring life to her face. Veteran actor Nouman Ijaz blasted the entertainment industry over the ongoing payment crisis along with a lack of empathy from channels and producers towards actors during the Covid-19 pandemic. Nouman made the shocking revelations on a chat show with Rafay Rashidi, revealing how a number of actors have not been paid their dues even after years, including himself. “Two channels owe me as much as Rs65 million even after four years.”
Noman then went on saying that actors in Pakistan are working like ‘donkeys’. “The entire system is corrupt. When a producer has to ask his broadcaster for payments, he has to “beg him” for it’” he said further adding that even during the pandemic, channels blackmailed producers for content, who then blackmailed actors that they would be blacklisted if they didn’t work.
Noman also claimed that many actors had to hide that they tested positive for COVID-19 due to the fear of losing work.

After Rihhana’s tweet, while she was supported by several Indians, Indian actress Kangana Ranaut called her a fool. Reacting to Rihhana’s tweet, Kangana wrote, “No one is talking about it because these are not farmers, they are terrorists who want to break India so that China can take over this broken nation and Make it a Chinese colony like America. She said, “Sit down, you fools. We cannot sell our people like puppets like you.” She further taunted singer and called her porn singer.

Actress Meera is once again in trouble due to her case of marriage with Atiq Ur Rehman.
She appeared in court for yet another proceeding where actress Meera’s appeal in marriage denial case was heard in Lahore Sessions Court.
Actress Meera, while presenting the record of the videos, told the court that she is a famous actress, people want to be known by her name, she is innocent, the decision of the family court should be annulled.
Additional Sessions Judge Roy Mohammad Khan heard the appeal of actress Meera in the marriage denial case. Actress Meera appeared before the court and completed her attendance. She told the court that Atiq-ur-Rehman is not her husband, she is a famous actress, people want to be known by her name. Actress Meera also presented a record of the videos in the court which was ordered to be made a part of the court record and further hearing was adjourned till February 10.
It seems that in this case Meera is not going to get any solace. We pray that she gets out of it soon.

Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari daughter of the former prime minister of Pakistan Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto (Shaheed) and former president of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari tied the knots with Dubai based businessman Mahmood Chaudhry. “Bakhtawar was the most easygoing bride that I have ever worked with,” says Zara Shahjahan. “I felt that she had been very close to her mother and wanted her to be a part of her wedding. She specifically asked for the embroidery on the dupatta” said Zara Shahjahan.
“This was the first time that I worked with Bakhtawar. Her team reached out to me on their own and she referred to a recent bridal shoot that I had done, Ghazal. Bakhtawar had liked the design worn by Eman Suleman. Taking reference from it, I customized the mehndi outfit according to her requirements. She wanted it to be colorful and in fact, the entire theme of the event followed a color scheme similar to the clothes that she was wearing.”
Zara shared the minute details about the Bakhtawar’s mehndi dress: “The lehnga had traditional chata-patti on it. I used patchworks of Sindhi embroidery and mirrors to embellish it. While the dupatta and the lehnga were heavy, the shirt had lighter embellishment on it. It was worked with flowers and at the center of every flower, we embroidered Bakhtawar and Mahmood’s names. It was all done very minutely which is why it isn’t easily visible in the photographs. I have never believed in over-the-top statements and even with this design, there were little details, meant just for her, that made it special.”
Zara also shared that she never had a one-to-one meeting with Baktawar while her dress was in making process they communicated online: “I created toiles and then sent them to her in Dubai for trying out. After that, the final outfit was created.” Zara also added a little detail on her own: “There is a pouch with the outfit and when she opens it, there is an embroidered portrait of Benazir Bhutto inside it.”
In modern times, where egomania has become the latest trend, it is really hard to find true friends. Ohkay so, this episode of Prem Gali was heaps better than quite a lot of the previous ones, because it showed some development & most importantly, a change that was much needed. It was nice to see a perspective of a young couple who was struggling to find a perfect balance where they did feel guilty but also wanted to stick with the decision they made. It is however unfortunate that the rest of the characters fail to show growth, they are very much happy with the way things are because so far they have not got a reality check. Here’s to hoping that this decision of Hamza & Joya serves as an eye-opener for them but it seems they will be guilt-tripped for prioritizing their privacy & mental peace by their family members who run big on emotions.
Hamza & Joya Ran Away
Hamza & Joya did face some emotional challenges before moving out. They got reminded of the love & warmth their family members exude & they were already realizing that they’d be missing out on all of this from this day onward. However they stood by their decision & it was nice to see them settling down, together, as a team & most importantly as newlyweds who deserved every bit of peace, privacy & freedom.
It seemed Shireen finally decided to let Joya know the reason why she was so paranoid about Hamza’s job. It was good to see her coming clear but then again, the way she literally pestered Hamza & Joya because of her own inhibitions was wrong, that too when she herself was able to see that Manzoor did not have any evil intentions. It is still very upsetting to see Shireen being so one-dimensional & bitter, especially at this stage where she can look back & realize that she got to live life on her own terms. Obviously, being a single mum who had to struggle to provide for her entire family has made her somewhat bitter but that should’ve also made her wise & forgiving.
It was interesting how everyone slowly found out that both Hamza & Joya have run away. The best reaction came from Rahat as she came up with conspiracies of how Joya has betrayed Hamza. Obviously, it isn’t going to be all fun & games because Dada Jaan won’t be able to take this news lightly. It seems Shireen will once again blame Manzoor for giving Hamza these ideas because out of nowhere she finds it easy to hold him responsible for whatever is happening in her life right now. It is ironic that Shireen still thinks Manzoor has this much power & authority even when he has never meddled with her affairs all these years.
It is unfortunate that the couple who would’ve probably run the show has been sidelined so badly. This was the 25th episode & right from the beginning, we all have been waiting to see Musarrat & Luqman together but it still hasn’t happened yet. They are so consumed with their guilts & issues regarding Hamza & Joya that they really haven’t gotten the time to think about themselves. It seems they will get together in the end where the viewers won’t even get to enjoy seeing much of their relationship.
A Decent Episode
This was definitely a decent episode of Prem Gali, also because the entire focus was on Hamza & Joya, what they were doing, how they were feeling, how they were adjusting to this new life without the interference of their family members. Their feelings seemed genuine as well where they were having a hard time because they understood how hard it was going to be on their family members.
