Khud Parast Episode 25 Story Review – Meaningful Conversations

Opening Thoughts – Good Episode After Weeks:

Ohkay so, this episode of Khud Parast after a lot of episodes was really good. After quite a few weeks, I did actually feel that I was watching the same drama that I loved & enjoyed watching before. Unfortunately, since so much wrong has happened; they are now going to focus on the severe & grave consequences, which kind of made me sad but then they also opened up a new chapter of hope & light which compensated a great deal, but I am still not sure how I feel about it, but overall, I enjoyed watching this episode of Khud Parast.

What Goes Around, Comes Around:

In this episode, they showed almost everyone paying the price for what they have done, reaping the rewards of what they sowed & none of them got spared, which actually is how the karma rolls. This is what the story of Khud Parast is all about, it has emphasized on how being selfish & wrongdoer will get one nowhere & now everyone is facing the brunt, one way or the other.

Asma did start the conversation about Hanan & Beenish’s marriage which obviously didn’t sit well with Hanan but out of respect, he allowed her to complete what she wanted to say. All the things Hanan said to his friend about Beenish went to show that he thinks about her, not for any other reason but just because he has seen her for a long period of time, wasting her life away for someone. I liked how despite knowing what Asma said to him, he kept his demeanour exactly the same, just the way it used to be in front of Beenish. Hanan on own his might be doing some thinking but he never once let it show to Beenish or made her uncomfortable. It was also sweet how Hanan inquired about his mother from his friend but then assumed that she must have forgotten him, sad.

The conversations that Beenish & Hanan had were my favourite parts of this episode. I still don’t think they should end up together but yes, when they two are interacting, it is always a pleasant conversation where Beenish always guides him & helps him put the pieces of puzzles at the right spot. Hanan did ask Beenish about his & her mistake, something that was bothering him all this while & all the things Beenish said were so accurate. Hanan did realize that he expected Uswa to be the ideal wife but never once paid attention to the fact that he should also try to be an ideal husband for her. Beenish has realized that she let the oppressors oppress her even more because she chose to suffer in silence which ended up becoming her weakness & made her vulnerable. Beenish lead life thinking she was nothing without Moeez & that she had to put up with him but now the circumstances have taught her that she can do so much better & it is good to see her attaining confidence in herself.

Uswa has finally started seeing Adeel for who he is rather it can be said that Adeel has started to show his true colours. He has gotten all the money that Uswa had & he is using it to his heart’s content. At least Adeel’s father feels for Uswa but his mother is no different to Bakhtawar who believes that a wife should put up with all that her husband does & should allow him the liberty & freedom that he desires. Uswa is getting frustrated but so far she hasn’t done anything outrageous to be heard. She is giving one warning after another but Adeel stays unaffected. The first shock that Uswa got was of Adeel’s disloyalty & the second she got was finding out that she will never be able to have a child. Zarina as well as Khatoon Bibi have finally pushed Uswa to the verge where she started thinking that things were going wrong because of a reason & everything was deliberately slipping away from her as well as all those around her who once supported her in ruining Hanan & Beenish’s life. Khatoon Bibi faced her consequences too & unfortunately, Zarina is dealing with her own as well.

Moeez chose not to even recognize Bakhtawar. All this while I used to wonder what will happen to Moeez but in this episode, I kind of got my answer. Hanan did mention that Moeez’s competitor hired him so it looks like Moeez will lose all of his business & go bankrupt, that is when his wife will leave him too & he will be left alone, empty handed. Well, it does seem like a right thing to happen to Moeez but yes, I want someone to rescue Bakhtawar, be it for the sake of apologizing to Beenish & Hanan but she should not just die like this.

Closing Thoughts – Meaningful Conversations:

Overall, this episode of Khud Parast was really nice with a lot of meaningful & deep conversations to its credit. I can say it was after week that I enjoyed watching this drama. Next episode holds even more trials for Uswa & I want to see how she will finally be broken & shattered. All the actors have done a great job especially Shehzad Sheikh, he really has made Hanan’s character special & very likeable. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Khud Parast.

Khud Parast Episode 24 Story Review – Inspired By Balaa?

Opening Thoughts – Inspired By Balaa?

Ohkay so, to be completely honest; I struggled to watch & review this episode of Khud Parast because it has become quite stagnant & the story is not moving forward whatsoever. I think by dragging things further they are going to lose the chance of making an impact when the tyrants in this drama get what they deserve. Also, not sure why but I felt that a few events in this episode were heavily inspired by the recent drama Balaa. I so hope that is not the case but considering the kind of popularity that hideous drama got, I won’t be surprised if the writer was forced by the producers to add those flavours in Khud Parast as well.

Uswa Is In Trouble:

Uswa & Adeel finally got married & Maria tried to talk Uswa out of this marriage for the one last time. Being a mature & wise person that Maria is, she wanted to prevent her sister from ruining her life further but Uswa wanted to do what she deemed right because she wanted to prove to everyone that she could make the right decisions too. Uswa is the kind of person who would jump into the deep pit only to prove others wrong while completely ignoring the fact that she’d end up hurting herself during the course of this action. Uswa did have inhibitions plus she also knew that Adeel had a past but she chose to believe him & not her own family.

Zarina is terminally ill but Adeel chose not to tell Uswa about it because he feels he can not waste the money on her treatment. This particular scenario reminded me of Balaa where Nigaar doesn’t tell anyone about Saleha’s condition (ironically the same kind of disease that Zarina is faced with) & lets her die. Adeel has made up his mind that Zarina is going to pass away anyways so he thought he’d save that money for himself. Uswa ended up trusting Adeel a bit more than he deserved & that is going to be the turning point of this marriage too where Adeel will get what he wanted & he will then treat Uswa as a nobody!

Bakhtawar has lost her senses because she has been tortured so much, again, this was a reminiscent of Balaa too where Shama lost her sanity because of being continuously & brutally tortured by Nigaar. In Khud Parast, it is again the daughter in law who is driving her mother in law nuts. To be honest, as much as I wanted Bakhtawar to pay for what she did, when I saw Khatoon Bibi getting the hold of those keys, I actually hoped that she’d rescue Bakhtawar or at least meet her to console her. This is what happens when things are dragged, that you end up forgetting what the character did & you actually sympathize with them. I don’t agree that a negativity should be nullified with the negativity, like whatever Nazish is doing with Bakhtawar will come back to her in full circle too so, yes, not too convinced here.

To be honest while watching this episode of Khud Parast, I was forced to question about what the writer was trying to convey in terms of the treatment that both Uswa & Beenish got. Uswa was rebellious, she didn’t pay heed to what others expected from her, she was selfish, self-centred & a victim of self-pity so, going by the text book she was bound to doom but if we look at Beenish, she was a text book Bahu; submissive, selfless, forgiving & someone who minded her own business, yet she also met the same fate? She was humiliated. Yes, I do get that she was better off without a husband like Moeez & now she even has become independent & self-sufficient to support her daughter too but then, I am trying to figure out the formula that would’ve secured the position of a girl in a household like Bakhtawar’s because she couldn’t tolerate Uswa but then she also let go of Beenish easily while believing that she must’ve had an affair with Hanan? No middle ground there! So who was right & who was wrong? In this case all three of them; Bakhtawar, Beenish & Uswa are wrong!

Closing Thoughts – Still Like This Drama, But:

Anyways, this episode of Khud Parast reminded me of Balaa quite a lot of times. I really wish the writer had stayed true to the undertone that this drama had right from the beginning because now it seems that it has been written by a completely different person. I still like watching Khud Parast but this episode was hard for me to follow. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Khud Parast.

Khud Parast Episode 23 – Story Review

Opening Thoughts – Build Up:

Ohkay so, this episode of Khud Parast didn’t show any developments in the story but then again, it did have some kind of build up to the climax. Even though last few episodes have not given much but the drama still is interesting to tune to & that definitely is a success of Team Khud Parast.

Uswa’s Committing Another Mistake:

Uswa has finally made up her mind that she will get married to Adeel. Even though Uswa has had a bad experience with her marriage but she has no idea what she is getting into because after marrying Adeel she will not only be betrayed but her trust will be shattered too. Uswa will land herself in such a trouble that she would’ve never even imagined. Adeel has lied to Uswa right from the beginning but because Uswa wants to believe him, she thinks he is different than any other guy out there, especially Hanan. Yes, I do feel for Uswa every time she discusses how Hanan used to assault her but that’s about it because the way she humiliated Hanan & destroyed Beenish’s life is not at all justified & that makes her deserving of whatever will happen to her after marrying Adeel. Yes, initially it was Hanan’s fault for hitting Uswa & doing all those things which planted a seed of hatred in her heart but unfortunately, after that Uswa couldn’t really bring herself to give him a chance to explain or redeem himself & later the level she stooped to get rid of him was Uswa’s mistake.

Honestly speaking, just when I was thinking that Asma should tell Beenish to do something for herself & her daughter, I was pleasantly surprised to see it happening. Asma told Beenish to do a job because that way she will support her family & will get a chance to invest her energies into something constructive rather than just sitting at home engulfed in her thoughts leading towards self-pity. Also, Hanan has been trying but he can not take a break because he feels burdened by the responsibility he has of Beenish as well as Hoorain so if Beenish gets a job, it will be a relief for Hanan of some sort.

To be honest, even though they have shown that Bakhtawar is paying the price of wronging Beenish & to some extent Uswa as well, I don’t find Nazish’s attitude towards her justified. She has just stepped in Moeez’s life & home so to see her having so much of grudge against Bakhtawar to mistreat her to such an extreme doesn’t really make sense. Yes, this is a result of Bakhtawar’s arrogance but to see someone random putting her through hell seems unconvincing!

Maria tried to warn Uswa about Adeel but as usual Uswa didn’t want to pay heed to whatever Maria said about Adeel. In Uswa’s opinion, she knows Adeel a bit too well to believe he can cheat her plus she blindly trusts Adeel & his version of the stories he has been telling her that is why Uswa thought Maria had something against Adeel for no good reason. Adeel is troubled & he keeps on inviting troubles his way too, it would be interesting to see how Uswa will react when she will actually learn the truth about Adeel & his past. Obviously, she will be regretful & unhappy but I want to see how she will react & what her thought process would be.

Closing Thoughts – Waiting To See Uswa’s Downfall:

Overall, this episode of Khud Parast was as usual as a decent watch. I wish they had shown Bakhtawar paying the price by her ownself, like her own sufferings & things going wrong in her life, because now to bring in an outsider to punish her has lessened the impact of her track & doesn’t sit well with me, so much so that I actually now want Hanan to come & save his mother from Nazish. Can’t wait to see Uswa’s downfall not for any other reason but because she hasn’t regretted ruining so many lives till date, so I want to know how will she ever realize it, let’s see. The acting & the direction has been amazing so far. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Khud Parast.

Khud Parast Episode 22 Story Review – Stagnant

Opening Thoughts – Stagnant:

Ohkay so, this episode of Khud Parast was slow. Ever since Hanan & Beenish have moved out, the pace of the drama has slowed down considerably & nothing has practically happened to take the story forward. So far the focus is mostly on how Hanan & Beenish are emotionally scattered & how Uswa is being pressurized by everyone to get married. Even though I still enjoy watching Khud Parast because it is my favourite drama from the current lot, I want things to move on now & show us what life has in store for all of them.

Same Old Same Old:

Hanan got to know that Hoorain was upset & she was unable to perform well in academics. Hanan is doing everything in his might to provide for Beenish as well as Hoorain but because Beenish hasn’t gotten a closure, she is stuck in a rut because of which Hoorain is getting affected. Even though Hanan is struggling too & he is heart broken but he has gotten himself busy because he has a responsibility of supporting Beenish & Hoorain. As far as Beenish is concerned, she has isolated herself & because she doesn’t have any distraction, she keeps on thinking about what she went through. Even though Asma does her counselling & she tries to talk Beenish out of whatever depression she is facing, Beenish finds it hard to put everything behind & move on. People haven’t stopped gossiping about Hanan & Beenish, which is another factor that prevents Beenish from forgetting everything & moving on!

Bakhtawar tried to contact Hanan & convince him to come back. It is unfortunate that even though she has her eyesight deteriorating, Bakhatwar still hasn’t learnt her lesson. Yes, Moeez’s cold attitude & his second wife did remind Bakhtawar of the fact that Beenish was such a mindful daughter in law, she still couldn’t bring herself to admit that. Till date, Bakhtawar finds it hard to forgive Beenish because she knows that it is because of her that Hanan has taken a stand & has moved out of the house!

Uswa got pressurized by everyone to get married to Adeel. Zarina, Zoya as well as Adeel are persistently trying to convince Uswa to say yes. Even though Uswa doesn’t stand a chance of saying no but it was interesting to see her standing her ground & telling Adeel honestly as to what was bothering her & how she didn’t want to jump into this pit again. It is quite nice to see that even though so much has gone wrong in Uswa’s life so far, she stands tall with her head held up high because in her own opinion, she hasn’t done anything bad & has only saved herself from the toxic environment & relationship that she was in while being married to Hanan!

Closing Thoughts – Please Move The Story Forward:

Overall, this episode of Khud Parast was slow. I am definitely eager to see the story moving forward where now Uswa will face the brunt of wronging someone innocent for her own selfish reasons. Everyone has acted brilliantly in this drama & I wish to see Beenish doing more than just being a homebody engulfed in her sorrows. I must say, one factor that has consistently remained outstanding in Khud Parast is the dialogue writing. It is so amazing how the dialogue writer has kept the conversations so meaningful & insightful. I love listening to what all the characters have to say & how they express their emotions. Khud Parast Episode 21 – Story Review

Opening Thoughts – Slow But Done Well:

Ohkay so, nothing much actually happened in this episode of Khud Parast but then again, I didn’t have a hard time watching it because even such a slow episode was done well. This episode focused more on the reactions of each & every character & how they all were trying to move on from the dark phase that just took over their lives recently.

Uswa Gets Pressurized Again:

Uswa finally started to feel like herself again. She was free & she could do what she wanted – this is what she believed but then the reality hit her & she once again was faced with the concerns & pressures of her family. Uswa thinks that after painting such a horrific picture of her marital life in front of her family, she will be able to breathe & live life as per her wishes but she has no idea that her family is very rooted & are not going to entertain her the way she wants. Uswa obviously does not have a conventional thinking, she is selfish to an extent that she doesn’t think or feel for anyone but when it comes to others, she expects them to do be mindful of her likes & dislikes but gradually she will start learning that no one is going to babysit her anymore.

Zoha started pressurizing Zarina to get Uswa married & this is what Zarina thinks too. It is a deeply rooted problem in our society that as soon as a girl gets divorced, people want to see her married the next day & Uswa’s family is no different. Zarina obviously is scared regarding the extent Uswa can go to therefore she also thinks Uswa should settle down & stop ruining her life just like that. Everyone knows that Uswa & Adeel are very good friends that is why they think Adeel is the right choice but Uswa has yet to make up her mind.

Uswa is trying hard to find her happiness & she likes spending time with Adeel but now he has started to get under her skin too because he is proposing & Uswa does not want to get married. Adeel obviously being a shady person that he is, is after Uswa’s money but she would never know. Adeel has informed his parents too but his father knows what exactly is running through Adeel’s mind whereas his mother is too busy pampering her only son.

As much as I sympathize with Beenish, I just couldn’t sit through her crying. I actually want to see what Beenish is going to make out of her life. So far, we do know that she has no idea how things rolls & she is not capable of doing much on her own but some decision, some baby step that she takes for herself & her daughter? Hanan is shattered & broken & he has no idea what he wants from life as of now. Bakhatwar was struggling without Hanan & she was doing everything to be able to persuade him to come back but Hanan has made it obvious that he will not come back.

Closing Thoughts – The Story Should Make A Progress Now:

Overall, this episode did not offer much but it still was a pretty decent episode. However, I do hope that the story starts progressing from next week. I must say it is commendable how the writer has kept the story on track & has not added any such tracks that deviate away from the main plot. I am keen to see the ending all these characters will meet but yes, there’s one thing which I don’t want to see, that is Beenish & Hanan together, let’s see. Direction, editing, acting remains amazing so far. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Khud Parast.

Khud Parast Episode 20 Story Review – Simply Superb

Opening Thoughts – Calm Before & After The Storm:

Ohkay so, this episode of Khud Parast had this calm vibe to it, it was more like a calm before as well as after the storm. Everyone was picking up the pieces & no one was unsure of what the future had in store for them. It is commendable how the writer has kept the story of Khud Parast realistic & relevant so far. This episode definitely marked the beginning of Uswa’s downfall & unfortunately, she will now find herself getting pulled into the misfortune that she has called upon herself.

Everyone Was Picking Up The Pieces:

I love Maria’s character because she is the voice of reason in Uswa’s life. Maria is someone who does not beat around the bush, she doesn’t believe in pacifying Uswa or sugar-coating whatever she wants to tell her. Maria knows her sister Uswa in & out that is why without even hearing it from Uswa, she clearly had an idea about what she must have done. Sadly, Maria can only try to knock sense into Uswa’s head but she knows that Uswa is the kind of person who will not listen to her or anyone for that matter because she will only do what she deems right. Uswa is selfish & that is why even though she has caused so much of damage, she is unable to see the gravity of the situation. However, for the first time it did seem like Maria’s word gave her a reality check & kind of forced her to realize her mistake but then again Uswa shut all those thoughts that were lingering in her mind & immediately distracted herself.

Zarina can’t get over everything that Uswa has done, that is why she has even started dreaming about what her future would be like – which by the way was a superbly directed sequence. Uswa has no idea how her life is going to unfold but yes, it won’t be pleasant or rewarding in any way imaginable. Sadia & Zoha had their own issues which they tried to sort but then again, they both have drifted apart so much that they will never come to a common ground. The only thing common left between them is the hatred they have towards Zarina & Uswa that is why they still can relate to each other on that aspect.

Hanan’s Pupho continued to take care of both Beenish & Hanan. She knows that they both are emotionally & mentally shattered therefore she continuously did their counselling because she knows this is what they want the most. Hanan & Beenish definitely have become comfortable at Pupho’s place but the fact that they both are living under the same roof is still like an emotional burden but then like Pupho said, she can testify if someone will ever ask for an explanation so they should stop worrying & focus on their future.

So, Uswa unfortunately lost the baby that Hanan was still excited about. Hanan felt he couldn’t cope up with all this anymore, it was like in these dark times, the idea of having a baby was like the light at the end of the tunnel for Hanan but that hope is gone now too. His reaction was believable & indeed it was hard for him to just accept this reality. Uswa continued to be cold-hearted like she usually is & she didn’t bother much about the miscarriage. I really want to see Uswa’s reaction when she will eventually start realizing all the things & blessings she has lost over the period of time. I want to see how she will feel broken? Maria finally knows about Adeel & his past but it seems even she won’t be able to stop Uswa from ruining her life further because Adeel has weaved this trap around Uswa just so carefully that she would completely ignore her sister Maria because this is what she has been doing all her life.

Closing Thoughts – Well Directed Drama:

Overall, this episode was slow but done just right & it was necessary to slow things down to build up for the rest of the happenings that are left to be shown. The direction of Khud Parast continues to be amazing & I just love the dialogues of this drama, they are insightful & carry so much of depth & meaning – just amazing. All the actors have done a fabulous work in this drama. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Khud Parast.

Khud Parast Episode 2 Story Review – Very Interesting

Opening Thoughts – A Strong Start:

Ohkay so, this episode of Khud Parast was very interesting. I liked how the story was taken forward with a lot of focus on the characters. Even though a lot is obvious but the writer has skilfully built the curiosity where I want to know more about certain characters. Khud Parast has definitely had a very strong start & I hope it continues to be progress that way.

Further In-sight Into The Characters:

Uswa is spending more time with Adeel. Even though she denies it but it is a fact that she likes the attention that he gives & she enjoys his company. Uswa is strong & clear-headed girl that is why she told Adeel that she was building a friendship with him for now without thinking about what turn it will take in the future. For now Uswa was just having a good time with Adeel & that is where is stops for her. Adeel on the other hand is doing everything, walking an extra mile making sure that he impresses Uswa. As far as Uswa is concerned, her thought process is clear but when it comes to Adeel, things are blurry because we know the type of guy he is, considering the introduction that he got so it won’t be wrong to judge him on that basis, due to which I feel that because Adeel has seen how different & unconventional Uswa is, he has taken her as a challenge. There is a possibility that Adeel might become serious about her but for now, it doesn’t seem to be the case.

Uswa’s mother is pretty clear about the kind of guy she wants Uswa to get married to. Uswa’s mother sees Bakhtawar’s family & Hanan’s proposal as a perfect match for Uswa because like she time & again said, their wealth will outbid every flaw that the guy might have. Uswa’s mother is not even keen to meet Hanan because for her, the fact that he is wealthy is just more than enough.

Khud Parast Episode 2 Story Review - Very Interesting

Uswa showed her vulnerable side to Adeel because she was emotionally weak at the thought of Maria’s marriage. It finally struck her that Maria was leaving & Uswa couldn’t stop questioning the entire system where a girl has to leave everything behind. Adeel obviously is not someone who matches Uswa’s mental wavelength, he is just being her friend for the sake of it but it is too obvious that he is not the kind of friend who will respect Uswa’s emotions or feelings.

Hanan’s mother Bakhtawar paid a visit to Uswa’s house only to put forth Hanan’s proposal but she couldn’t proceed as Khatoon Bibi saw Uswa with Adeel on a bike. Uswa’s sisters in law along with her mother did devise a plan to buy Khatoon Bibi’s loyalty & even though that is exactly what happened which made Bakhtawar change her mind but then even Maria was not too happy with the way Bakhtawar’s family was being lied to regarding Uswa. Uswa is not the kind of girl that will fit in Bakhtawar’s family, Maria can clearly see that but their mother is not too keen on what the girls say or feel because for her, Hanan’s financial status is the most attractive & important aspect.

The character that has really made me curious to find out more about her is of Hanan’s sister in law. Like she said, even her parents married her off because they themselves do not have a sound financial background & I guess that is why she puts up with everything because she knows she can not go back. It is too obvious that she is not happy but is only putting an effort to make her marriage work. She really has changed her personality & has accepted everything so that she does not give her mother in law Bakhtawar & her husband Moeez any reason to complain. Moeez is dethatched from his wife, he is cold & distant plus if he ever communicates with her, that is only to remind her that what she is doing is not enough or what she is saying has no meaning. No wonder why Moeez is having an extra marital affair because I feel it is Bakhtawar who hasn’t allowed her son to have a normal relationship with his wife, it could be seen in the scene where she silently commends her son when he scolds & belittles his wife. Khatoon Bibi did draw the right sketch in front of Uswa’s sisters in law, that even though from afar that household might look too grand & perfect, but in reality it is completely the opposite.

Another aspect that was revealed about Hanan was his temperament & the fact that he can not tolerate a lie nor liars. Hanan is definitely someone who is too emotional & has no self-control when it comes to anger. Hanan believes in keeping things fair & square so I am interested to see how he will react when later he will find out that he & his family was lied to in regards to Uswa & her personality. I am sure this lie will play a huge part in how Uswa’s marital life will shape up in the future. However, I will say that considering the kind of rigid person Bakhtawar is who has a very clear picture of the kind of girl she wants for Hanan, it seems unconvincing that after what Khatoon Bibi said & back-tracked, Bakhtawar didn’t get a background check done on Uswa? It definitely was not a big deal for her to make that happen. Also, I liked how Hanan’s sister in law picked up something fishy about Uswa when she heard her Bhabhi but chose not to react much.

Closing Thoughts – Decent Execution:

Overall, thie episode of Khud Parast was definitely interesting. Even though the scenarios or the characters are not too new but the execution has made things work in totality. I really hope they do not show too much of domestic violence though because I do remember seeing a few promos before Khud Parast went on-air & that was not a good sight. The acting & the direction has been great so far & all the actors have fitted well into their characters. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Khud Parast.

Khud Parast Episode 19 Story Review – Perfectly Paced Drama

Opening Thoughts – Perfectly Paced:

Ohkay so, this episode of Khud Parast was heavy but yes, it again had some amazing dialogues to its credit. I am also glad that in stead of showing Hanan living in depression, they chose to show that he pulled himself back & started moving on. The pace of Khud Parast has stayed consistently good & that is why it is always a pleasure watching it.

The Aftermath:

Well, whatever Uswa did was quite unfortunate. She not only destroyed someone’s life, she not only lied but she swore by her mother as well as her unborn child. I guess Hanan actually underestimated Uswa’s level because he assumed that this was something that she will never do but Uswa crossed that limit as well. It was upsetting to see Uswa in such a mental state where she completely forgot the difference between right & wrong, between sinning & not sinning.

In the previous review, I did mention that it is highly likely that Khatoon Bibi will testify against Beenish & Hanan & I was right. Uswa & Saad picked up such a person whom Bakhtawar couldn’t turn a blind eye to, that is why immediately Moeez’s expressions changed as he couldn’t contain his happiness as he knew that her testimony will act like a last nail in the coffin & that’s what happened. It was so nice to see Hanan not losing his mind & rather staying focused on the decision that he made as well as being mindful of the fact that he had to stand by Beenish & Hoorain. The way Hoorain bid goodbye to her father & grandmother was heart-wrenching. In these kind of issues, it’s the children who suffer the most.

Unfortunately, Bakhtawar did know that Hanan couldn’t do something like this but her hatred for Beenish didn’t allow her to say it out loud that both of them were not capable of doing something like this. Bakhtawar thought she will get rid of Beenish & will be able to stop Hanan from going but that didn’t happen actually because even Hanan had made up his mind.

Uswa was celebrating & the one who was with her to celebrate her so called independence was Adeel who ironically is in a mood to trap & cage her but in a different way. Zarina was engulfed with guilt at what her daughter did & she kept on reminding her that she will face the consequences but Uswa chose not to pay heed to what she was saying because Uswa has now started to have an issue with her mother too because she is not saying what Uswa wants to hear.

Saad & Omer made a deal but while Saadia must be thinking that she hit the jackpot, she has no idea about the amount of wealth Saad has gathered & she might never find out because Saad told them to leave.

The conversation Hanan had with his Pupho was very nice. It was good to see Hanan as well as Beenish finding a shelter, some support & a helping hand after being estranged like that. Bakhtawar was concerned for Hanan but still she didn’t come to realize that she was also equally responsible for whatever happened with all of them.

Closing Thoughts – Will Uswa Ever Regret?

Overall, this episode was engaging & interesting as well like all the previous episodes of Khud Parast. I am actually keen on seeing what life has in store for Uswa now, will she come to regret her decisions & if yes, will she be able to pick up the pieces & undo some of the damage she caused. I feel of all the people Beenish deserves an apology from Uswa, let’s see if that will ever happen. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Khud Parast.

Note: I know the general perception & understanding is that a woman can not get divorced during pregnancy, this is what I believed too but after watching this episode I did my part of the research to confirm whatever was shown was right or wrong. I came to find out that a woman actually can get divorced during pregnancy & she has to technically observe Iddat till her delivery. Thought of putting it out there because I am sure quite a lot of viewers just like me would be feeling confused after watching this episode. It was good that the writer was mindful of the delicacy of this situation that is why Zarina told Uswa to stay at home till the baby is born & observe Iddat. I was unsure of what was being shown but after finding out how things work, I realized that the writer deliberately & accurately covered that aspect as well. Thank you for reading.

Khud Parast Episode 18 Story Review – Intense

Opening Thoughts – Diverse Dynamics:

Ohkay so, this episode of Khud Parast was again intense & very well done. It showed the perspective of every single character which I liked – those who were in the favour of what Uswa was doing & also those who were not. It is quite interesting to see how the writer has shown how usually & realistically diverse the dynamics are where every single person has their own approach as well as agenda behind a certain situation. This is what I enjoy the most while watching Khud Parast that every single character has a part to play in every single situation because it adds so much depth & dimension to all the scenarios.

Who Will Uswa Destroy – Hanan or Herself?

Uswa has made up her mind & what’s unfortunate is that she is not just walking out of Hanan’s life quietly minding her own business, she is out to destroy his entire family & their ties with each other that too without having any regrets. Uswa thinks all that she endured while being married to Hanan has to be returned but unfortunately, she is not directing her wrath on Hanan or Bakhtawar, in fact she is using Beenish as an excuse without even paying heed to the fact that Beenish is not only innocent but she has a daughter too who will lose her father, her family & her house because of what Uswa is doing!

My favourite scene of tonight’s episode was Zarina & Uswa’s conversation where Zarina tried to warn & prevent her from causing so much of destruction. It was quite interesting to see that Zarina still had so much of compassion & humanity in her that she tried to make Uswa see the consequences before taking such a huge step. Zarina has always supported Uswa like any mother does & all the things that she said also showcased how a mother feels when she can clearly foresee that the path her child is going to walk on will only be filled with thornes. Zarina knew that what Uswa is doing now will definitely come to bite her back & even then, as a mother Zarina will hurt the most seeing her daughter in such a condition. Yes, Zarina always supported & encouraged Uswa to make some wrong decisions but it used to be confined to Uswa getting back at Bakhtawar as Zarina could see that she used to mistreat Uswa but now her main concern was Beenish because like she said, Beenish is actually innocent & what Uswa is doing is unforgiveable & unacceptable.

Adeel can totally see himself getting closer to Uswa slowly & steadily. Uswa did make it very clear to him that for now she only needed him by her side as a friend but then considering how chummy he generally is, Uswa won’t be able to stop him especially after her divorce. Adeel didn’t stop from crossing the line when Uswa was married so after her divorce it is going to be a completely different story.

Another thing worth noticing is how it has been shown that so much of undeserving wealth earned without doing anything can cause rift & drift the families apart. Ever since Saad got the investment from Hanan, him & Omar have only become distant. Even though at this moment Saad does think he has everything under control because he has fooled his mother & brother & has given his wife what she wanted but I am sure later in life he will be full of regrets too as what he is doing is not going to guarantee him a peace of mind & ease of heart. Moeez made a deal with Saad & unfortunately by accepting it, Saad also signed up to play a part in ruining Beenish & Hoorain’s life. I am keen to see how will Saad pay the price for wronging innocent people like this!

So, it was the time for a final decision. While watching Bakhtawar in that entire situation, all I was thinking whether the thought had ever crossed Bakhtawar’s mind that whatever she was facing now could be a result of her wrongdoings & injustce too? Very easily & conveniently Bakhtawar was putting the entire blame on Uswa but why didn’t she ever once hold herself responsible for what she & her sons were going through? Uswa continued to fabricate one lie after another & Moeez indirectly supported her claims, Saad too & Bakhtawar had already made up her mind about Beenish but as well but she only wanted to protect Hanan. It was an unfortunate situation for Beenish as well as Hanan but who is going to believe them? Also, any guesses on who the witness could be? I have my bets on Khatoon Bibi, may be Uswa & Saad gave her a hefty amount to testify against Hanan & Beenish? Let’s see!

Closing Thoughts – Simply Amazing:

Overall, this episode exceeded my expectations once again. Watching Khud Parast is a treat in itself & props to the entire team for giving out such a well-made drama. The director here definitely deserves a special mention for doing justice to such a complex script like Khud Parast & shedding a light on every angle. All the actors are doing a commendable job. Just amazing. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Khud Parast.

Khud Parast Episode 17 Story Review – Intelligently Written Flawed Characters

Opening Thoughts – Intense:

Ohkay so, this episode of Khud Parast was intense & done well. The way the story took a turn & the dynamics changed couldn’t have been shown more convincingly. I totally believe that the way the writer has written all these flawed characters is basically the strength of this drama. You root for someone while clearly understanding their flaws & shortcomings. The way the writer has paid attention to all the characters by developing their complex personalities is highly commendable & this is what makes Khud Parast such an interesting drama to tune to. So many episodes have passed but Khud Parast hasn’t failed to impress which is amazing!

Uswa & Bakhtawar’s Battle:

Uswa has made up her mind. She is not going to go back to Hanan. No matter what anyone said but she was adamant that she came a long way & there was no turning back. I feel if Adeel wasn’t in the picture, Hanan still stood a chance of at least explaining himself or telling Uswa the truth but because Adeel turned out to be a major distraction for Uswa, she didn’t bother giving Hanan a chance of explaining himself which he actually deserved.

Adeel’s promise of wanting to be with Uswa despite her pregnancy actually had Uswa thinking seriously about all the things that were wrong in her marital life right from the beginning. Again, whatever Hanan did at such an early stages of his relationship with Uswa laid a foundation of all these negative feelings that Uswa slowly & steadily started to harbour in her heart against him. No doubt Hanan tried to improve & redeem himself but since his bad behaviour was a repetitive phenomenon, Uswa could not come out of that zone where she could look past his mistakes because every time she made herself understand, Hanan ended up doing something or the other to push her away from him. This was Uswa’s perspective about Hanan but then if we look at the overall behaviour attitude & lack of loyalty that Uswa had for Hanan, then she seems wrong completely. Again, in this scenario, to rely on Adeel for emotional support while being well-aware or his intentions is a grave mistake on Uswa’s part.

Hanan once again tried to make amends, he wanted to have a conversation with Uswa but unfortunately, she has moved on & Hanan is a nobody for her. That entire scene where Uswa insults Hanan in front of everyone was directed & acted really well where Hanan kept on trying to control himself but Uswa decided to push all the wrong buttons because she had made up her mind that she wanted divorce from Hanan. I know it’s just a random thought but amusingly the focus on cinemas & movies in Khud Parast is way too much. No matter what Uswa is going through, she is always ready for the movies that too by putting everything at stake – be it her marriage or her relationship. It is worth pondering upon that while having so many issues in her life, how does Uswa bring herself to enjoy a movie while sitting aimlessly in a cinema?

So, Bakhtawar & Moeez decided to pressurize Uswa by getting Saad arrested & Uswa did go back. I am sure Bakhtawar must have been thinking that she won yet another battle against Uswa but little did she know that just a single statement of Uswa would shake her ground & weaken the pillars of her household. Uswa did defeat Bakhtawar in these mind games & Bakhtawar would’ve never imagined that a girl like Uswa could plant a seed of doubt in her heart against her youngest son whom she loved so much. During that scene where Moeez & Hanan were almost in a fist fight with Bakhtawar looking at her scattered family members, the thought that came to my mind was that Bakhtawar was the one who started all of this & now she was facing the consequences. She always riled Hanan up against Uswa, she extracted pleasure out of Uswa’s misery, she literally ruined Hanan & Uswa’s relationship, she tried to control & change Uswa & now here she was, witnessing how the grip & control of her entire family was slipping away from her in front of her eyes. Yes, both Hanan & Uswa have committed mistakes but if we take a closer look, the one who is single-handedly responsible for this entire mayhem is Bakhtawar. Again, it was unfortunate that in order to defeat Bakhtawar, Uswa ended up ruining Beenish’s life too but then again, all of this would not have happened if Bakhtawar hadn’t tried to interfere so much between Hanan & Uswa, forcing Hanan to mistreat his wife. Uswa was wrong but the one who pushed her to this limit was Bakhtawar again because she tried to use her brother to pressurize Uswa, so Uswa ended up using her son Hanan to wipe that smug look of Bakhtawar’s face. Brilliantly written I must say!

I also feel that Saad should let Uswa know the truth that what did he say for Hanan to react so recklessly. It was Saad’s mistake but since Uswa comes from a family of selfish people, unfortunately Saad won’t tell Uswa the truth. It was also interesting to see how everyone was relying on others to achieve what they wanted. Uswa used Saad’s condition as an excuse to part her ways with Hanan & Moeez was using a false testimony of Uswa against Hanan to get rid of Beenish. I feel bad for Beenish that she will be facing a brunt of someone else’s lies & she will end up paying a price for someone else’s battle.

Closing Thoughts – Perfectly Written Flawed Characters:

Well, it shouldn’t come as a surprise but I am going to be all praises for Khud Parast – the writer, the director & all the actors. They all have contributed in making this drama just so amazing. For the first time I believe I am getting to see all the flawed characters written just so intelligently & their scenarios interwoven just so perfectly that where one seems wrong, you immediately find a reasoning behind their action by taking a look at the circumstances & all those events that lead the character to do such a thing. Khud Parast in simple words is actually a drama about the feud between a mother & a daughter in law but the writer has added so much into it that really has taken it to some other level, obviously in a good way. Well done Team Khud Parast. Definitely looking forward to the next episode. Please share your thoughts about this epispde of Khud Parast.

Khud Parast Episode 16 Story Review – Change of Dynamics

Opening Thoughts – Change of Dynamics:

Ohkay so, this episode of Khud Parast was again intense but somewhat a reminder of all that has happened or has been happening in the drama so far. The story did not progress in this episode but just showed how the dynamics of Uswa & Hanan’s relationship worsened because of themselves as well as other external factors.

Uswa & Hanan Are About To Fall Apart:

Uswa did question Hanan that he loves her conditionally but then Uswa should ask herself the same question too that does she love Hanan unconditionally or at all for that matter? The moment Hanan said no to the movies, Uswa made sure to make it happen which shows that she is going to put herself ahead of Hanan too, so she should stop really playing the victim now. I guess Uswa needs to understand & accept Hanan the way he is. In fact Hanan is a good husband but yes, he is the kind of a person who will walk an extra mile for you if you do what makes him happy & I guess for any marriage to work, both the husband & the wife are mostly supposed to do things which please their spouses, but Uswa will not do anything for Hanan but will expect him to do everything for her which again is her selfishness. Uswa actually is living two lives where in one life she is Hanan’s wife & in the other one she is just someone who loathes Hanan & to prove it, she does all kind of reckless things!

Saad finally convinced his mother to sign the papers which gave the ownership of the house to Zoya. In other words Saad did make a fool out of his mother but because he is so tactful, he didn’t get caught. Saad’s attitude with Hanan was distasteful. If not anything else, Saad should have respected Hanan for the fact that he has already given him a lot of money due to which he is being able to afford all the things that he dreamed of but in stead Saad chose to degrade him which riled Hanan up. To be honest, when I heard Hanan confiding in his friend, I felt for him a lot because indeed, he does not deserve all this. Yes, he has made a lot of mistakes in the past but he has always rectified them & has tried to steer away in order to prevent himself from repeating those mistakes but sadly Uswa & now even her family is bent on bringing Hanan down the path that he is trying to move away from. That entire scene where Uswa gets off the car & then calls Hanan while he is driving rashly was done really really well. The editors have used the OST at just the right spots which adds more impact to the situation.

Bakhtawar can now see that she made a huge mistake by getting Hanan married to Uswa. Indeed Bakhtawar herself was wrong in trying to rely on such ways to tame Uswa but now what Uswa has done & all that she is putting Hanan through is wrong on so many levels. Also, in this entire situation, Uswa thinks she is right because she is taking a stand for her brother but unfortunately, she does not know that it was her brother who instigated Hanan to do something so irrational. Uswa & Hanan on their own have so many issues & personality clashes but the involvement of both Uswa as well as Hanan’s families make matters worse for them.

Once again, Uswa went out with Adeel to deal with her pain & take her mind off what has been happening but I guess it’s just a matter of Hanan spotting Uswa once with Adeel & that is when he will bid her goodbye forever. But again, Hanan does not deserve this.

Closing Thoughts – Consistently Great Direction & Editing:

Overall, this episode of Khud Parast was interesting too. I love this drama to put in simple words. Yes, while watching Uswa in her Abaya in this episode, it did make think that Hanan has bought her a luxury apartment so why can’t he buy her a few more Abayas too, he surely can afford some because ever since that girl has gotten married, she is only wearing that one Abaya that she got from Bakhtawar. Anyways, jokes apart, Shehzad Sheikh’s acting was superb in this episode & I also enjoyed the performance of Saife Hassan too. He has played the character of manipulative Saad to perfection & what’s amazing is that he has not made it annoying like the rest of his family. Ramsha Khan has been consistently good too. I must say the direction & the editing of Khud Parast has always been consistently good. & oh yes, I am upset that we’re back to single episode per week, sad sad situation! Khud Parast Episode 14 & 15 Story Review – So Far So Good

Opening Thoughts – Still Going Strong:

Ohkay so, this episode of Khud Parast was quite intense & filled with power-packed performances. The direction of Khud Parast continues to be strong & so is the story line. Even though the story of Khud Parast includes a lot of plotting & planning, lies & deceit but while watching it today I realized that if stories like these are done well, they make a good drama.

Uswa Is Unapologetically Herself:

Even though with the passage of time Uswa is turning into a negative character & I do not agree with the direction where she’s headed but I will say that she still is a refreshing character in herself. I feel this way because Uswa is anything but a damsel in distress. Yes, she takes a beating from her husband, lets her mother in law dictate her husband too but she still is fighting for what belongs to her. Yes, for everyone including me, all the decisions that Uswa has taken are definitely wrong because she is not even coming across as loyal to Hanan but I like the fact that whatever her mental capacity is, she is fighting her battle the way she deems right & is making her own decisions. All of this definitely makes Uswa a twisted character but I will definitely commend the writer for giving us something new because we are definitely tired of seeing those dukhyari bibis who shed truckload of tears with the help of glycerine at their misery but no matter what she does, Uswa is a fighter. Uswa is unapologetically herself & she has not once backtracked. Yes, she fails to understand the intricacies of the situations plus she is literally playing with fire but whatever she is doing is what her heart tells her to. At least later when she will face the consequences, she will regret it herself but won’t put a blame on anyone else. It is kind of nice to see an emotionally & mentally independent & self-sufficient character. I find her completely wrong for cheating her husband but I enjoy watching her character because it is well-written & has so many shades. In the middle of Batools, Salehas & Nigars; totally black & white characters I like the fact that Uswa is a mix of both & is a phenomenally done grey character where at times you do understand her perspective but when see her from afar, you can pin point all the mistakes that she is committing.

I so wish Uswa would give Beenish a chance & try to understand her for once. Uswa has formed a strong opinion about everyone in this house that she can not even imagine someone would be different to what she thinks. Beenish guided Hanan as to how he should treat his wife but Uswa had no idea & there she was insulting her again. I wish Beenish opens up & clearly tells Uswa about how she has tried to help her time & again but then even she knows that Uswa will not believe her.

Hanan felt guilty but then Uswa was wrong in further guilt-tripping him by mentioning that she was at her mother’s house which is a lie. Uswa told Maria that she will go to any extreme to fulfil all of her wishes no matter how nominal they must be & this is the kind of attitude that will definitely put Uswa in trouble. She has no idea that she is playing with fire plus she knows how Hanan reacts yet she continues to take risks thinking she will never fall in a deep pit. Uswa does claim that she loves Hanan but it gets a bit hard to believe her seeing all the things she does behind his back. Hanan tried to compensate her with what she couldn’t even imagine but she again labelled it as a gesture that he made only because he has a lot of wealth with which he thinks he can buy anything. I did feel Uswa was partially right, Hanan hit her but then he took a materialistic approach to make her forget what he did because Hanan doesn’t know any better!

Bakhtawar continued to watch the entire situation like a spectator because she knows that her plan is in action. Bakhtawar silenced Zarina & all of her concerns by speaking about her sons’ business. It was sickly amusing how Zarina told Uswa that if this is what she gets in return, she should keep on taking a beating every now & then. Saad knows his mother a bit too well, that is why he told his wife Zoya that he decided to give Zarina a gold chain to later take the financial advantage. It is interesting to see how this borrowed wealth has given a rise to a different set of politics in Zarina’s house where everyone is planning one thing or the other for their own benefit. Uswa couldn’t stop reminding her mother about the money that she & her sons were getting from Uswa, obviously this was her way of telling her mother how she was feeling burdened with their attitude.

Adeel is the new thorn in Uswa’s way. First thing’s first, this is a done deal that Uswa has never once encouraged Adeel’s advances. Uswa has only stayed in contact with Adeel because she takes him as a friend whom she can confide in plus Adeel is the only guy who says what Uswa wants to hear that is why she is still friends with him but yes Adeel is now taking it to a different level. Adeel knows that Uswa is unhappy because again this is the kind of impression Uswa has given to him willingly or unwillingly that is why he is now pushing his agenda & trying to take advantage of all the details that Uswa has given to him about her marital life. It is pretty obvious that Adeel is not even sincere but she has turned into a challenge for him right from the beginning, so he will do whatever it takes to win that challenge & he might as well ditch her later on IF he gets a chance to be with her, which I totally see happening. Uswa did stop Adeel for now but it is pretty obvious that she won’t be able to ignore him for long because Uswa is someone who thinks the grass is greener on the other side. Uswa will start believing everything that Adeel says & she will assume that he will understand her but she will be mistaken. Uswa has not really encouraged Adeel ever but because she meets him behind Hanan’s back, he thinks she is quite bold & he is the type of guy who likes to play with the feelings of such girls because they fancy the idea of being with them for a while till they get what they want from them. Adeel is definitely going to turn into a challenge for Uswa & she will regret it later because now he won’t stop pestering her. No matter what Hanan has done so far, he doesn’t deserve to be cheated like this & this is Uswa’s biggest mistake!

Closing Thoughts – Well Written Drama:

Overall, I had a great time watching Khud Parast as usual. The characters are so well written & their personalities & traits are so diverse. The writer definitely has put in a lot of effort into all the characters that is why they all stand out in their own unique way. I always enjoy listening to the conversations in this drama because the dialogues are always well-worded & strike a chord. I think ARY definitely has done a favour on those viewers who are a fan of Khud Parast by airing its double episode because it is an added bonus. Khud Parast is a well-written, well-executed drama which has such characters that give you so much to talk & think about what they do. I must say, all the actors have made this drama what it is. There’s not a single actor who has not played their part well. Too good! Please share your thoughts about this episode of Khud Parast.

Khud Parast Episode 12 & 13 Story Review – Brilliantly Executed

Opening Thoughts – Brilliant Execution:

Ohkay so, this episode of Khud Parast was again executed brilliantly. The direction of this drama has stayed consistently amazing, the director has paid attention to little details which makes it a wholesome & a complete package visually. The amount of effort & hard work that has gone into making this drama is evident from the end result so the team should take a bow starting from the makers to the actors.

Uswa Dodged The Bullet But For How Long?

Uswa found herself in hot waters because Hanan let her know that he was not as naive as she thought he was. Hanan has always been someone who hasn’t shied away from analysing the situation, yes he might sway for a moment but when he sees what’s wrong, he speaks about it & this is what happened this time around too. Hanan saw that Bakhtawar stopped speaking about Uswa but now Uswa was the one who couldn’t contain herself & kept on maligning his heart against his mother. Uswa plays it openly but Bakhtawar knows her son in & out therefore she has taken a backseat & is now playing stealthily which is again a part of her plan because now Hanan will continue to see the faults of Uswa that are on the surface.

Uswa found herself falling flat on her face & that is when she couldn’t really cope up with how things were slipping away from her. So far Uswa thought she had things under control but no, Hanan made it very clear that he hadn’t banished his mother because of her. I must say the highlight of this entire episode for me was the conversation that Uswa & Beenish had. That entire scene & its dialogues was just so well-written because it showed the difference between the two. It showed how irrational & immature Uswa was & how calm & collected Beenish has been. Uswa blames it all on Beenish but she chooses not to see her own faults. I loved when Beenish mentioned that girls like Uswa can never be happy & it did shake her for a moment because just a while ago she was unhappy with the fact that Hanan rejected her demand of going to the cinema. It is unfortunate that Uswa has issues with Beenish too, like she should just leave her alone exactly the way Beenish has done & that would be enough. I liked that for the first time Beenish showed Uswa a mirror & stated everything that is true which obviously Uswa couldn’t handle!

So, Bakhtawar’s game plan began with sponsoring a business of Uswa’s brothers. Bakhtawar knew that she will hit a bullseye with this move of hers because it will make Uswa liable for the rest of her life & she will always feel burdened with the fact that her brothers are staying afloat because of Bakhtawar’s investment in their business. It was quite interesting to see how Uswa had a different behaviour with her sisters in law when she thought Hanan had invested his money but after finding out the truth, she only complained & felt embarrassed every time she saw them spending money on things they couldn’t afford before.

Uswa’s mother Zarina didn’t take long to forget how Hanan dragged her out of her house the moment she saw a gold chain. I am sure it isn’t far away when she will completely turn a blind eye towards Uswa seeing those luxuries in her own home that she has dreamt of because she herself is quite materialistic.

I think it was quite stupid of Uswa to go out with Adeel just so casually because that is a complete case of disloyalty & breach of trust. Just because Hanan said he won’t take her to cinema, she made sure she gets there even if it means deceiving her husband? What kind of a relationship Uswa’s building with Hanan? She is not even loyal to him so why does she expect him to get rid of everything & dance on her tunes? For how long is she going to wing it? Adeel is another lifeless character who’s got nothing better to do. Also, I find it weird that Uswa despite knowing that Adeel had feelings for her, casually chats with him. It is getting monotonous that Adeel constantly tells Uswa that she is unhappy & she always gets uncomfortable explaining him the otherwise! I think after what happened with Uswa, she should take it as an eye opener & stop fooling Hanan because she is digging her own grave by committing such mistakes. It was quite shocking that Uswa swore on her mother’s life to convince Hanan that she was at home, she really did cross the line but then Hanan believed her but for how long is the real question!

Closing Thoughts – Powerful Dialogues:

Overall, these episodes were quite interesting. I am glad that they started airing double episodes of Khud Parast, it makes watching this drama even more enjoyable. I have a feeling that things might change between Moeez & Beenish, I hope they do because she deserves happiness & the dynamics should definitely change in this track as well. All the actors for sure have done a great job, the black the white characters as well as the grey ones. I must say Adeel & two Bhabhi’s are too annoying & those characters have been portrayed by the actors tastefully. Shehzad Sheikh is super impressive & so are Nosheen Shah & Ramsha Khan. Asma Abbas has given a brilliant performance as Bakhtawar. I must say, the dialogues of this drama are brilliantly written, the writer has done a commendable work in wording such thoughtful dialogues which is a rarity in our dramas these days. Khud Parast Episode 11 Story Review – New Twists & Turns

Opening Thoughts – New Twists & Turns:

Ohkay so, the story of Khud Parast took a turn in this episode once again but as much as I want to understand & justify all that Uswa is doing, I am unable to do so because now she is taking one wrong decision after another & in the end it is going to cost her a lot!

Uswa’s Going To Land In Trouble:

Uswa thinks she has won the battle against Bakhtawar. Yes, Uswa is young, immature, impatient & boisterous – the only way she deems right of earning a place in Hanan’s heart is by lying to him but the problem is, she has now started to fabricate so many stories regarding everyone in the family that her lies are bound to get exposed sooner or later. Hanan’s family consists of very few people so it is a grave mistake of Uswa to think that Hanan will never find out the truth!

When things will go wrong in Uswa’s life, her mother will be equally responsible. It is very important to instill confidence in your daughters & give them the courage to call spade a spade but to have a different spin on it by teaching your daughter to manipulate & tell lies is definitely wrong. Till last week I didn’t see anything wrong in what Uswa was doing but this time around, the way she dragged Beenish in between was absolutely wrong. Beenish has not at all harmed Uswa once, she minds her own business & does not meddle in her affairs but Uswa has a problem with her too. It seems Uswa has an issue with every single person who tries to knock sense into her but she only believes the one who sympathizes with her & sees her as a victim. Uswa had no issues in having a sleepless night while thinking about everything that Adeel said like she being unhappy & things like that but the moment Maria tried to stop her from doing what she’s upto, Uswa couldn’t take it. Similarly, Beenish has only tried to make Uswa understand how things work in Hanan’s house that too only to prevent her from getting into some trouble but looks like it was too hard for Uswa to tolerate as well because since then she’s having issues with Beenish as well.

Bakhtawar has her ways. She tried to send someone from her side into Uswa’s little bubble to get an idea of what she’s upto & Uswa had no idea. I think it is alright for Uswa to have a laugh over what she does with her mother but to spill the beans in front of random people is her again her own mistake which she shouldn’t commit. The more Uswa is letting people know, the more she is calling for trouble on herself.

As much as I want to see a positive image of religious people in our dramas, I couldn’t help but agree to how such Fakirs & Pirs are portrayed. The way he planted a seed of suspicion in Bakhtawar’s heart against Uswa’s mother was spot on because this is what they usually do – they say things you want to hear & confirm your doubts only to make themselves look powerful & intelligent. Well, that was one aspect but Bakhtawar has come up with her own plan as well!

Please don’t tell me that the writer has kept Adeel as a stepney & a back up for when things will go wrong in Uswa’s life, Adeel will hold her hand? It takes me back to the very first scene of how Adeel was introduced so I hope Uswa finds out about his past before relying on him ever! Well, the last scene of this episode again pushed the agenda of all the things that are wrong with Uswa. Even though Hanan has done so much for her; he listens to her, he has allowed her the edge of saying what she wants to about Bakhtawar, he takes her out & does everything to please her but now when everything is pretty smooth, Uswa had to create an issue & she chose a petty cinema for that. Now that Hanan has said no to this demand of hers, Uswa will again turn him into a conservative villain who does not take her to out for movies. Honestly speaking, Uswa’s mother said Maria has some insecurities & complexes but it seems it is Uswa who is full of insecurities because despite having everything that she wished for, she now wanted to have that thing as well which Maria has an access to? Uswa just wants to create some issues only to make bigger issues out of them.

Closing Thoughts – Looking Forward To Next Episode:

Overall, this episode of Khud Parast was interesting & the preview of the next episode was even better. I want to see how Beenish will call it even with Uswa, about time she spoke up. Also, does anyone know what’s the name of Uswa’s mother. I’m tired of referring to her as Uswa’s mother so it would be nice to have a name to save me some hassle. Khud Parast Episode 10 Story Review – Strong Storyline

Opening Thoughts – Depth & Detailing:

Ohkay so, this episode of Khud Parast was again well-executed & interesting. It is good to see someone standing up for herself in order to save what belongs to her. Even though there is a lot of plotting & scheming involved but the story of Khud Parast shows that one must not give up especially when they know that the oppressors are wrong. I enjoy dramas like Khud Parast which give me so much to talk about. The writer surely has added a lot of depth & detailing in characters as well as situations which make it a good watch.

Unfair & Unjust Rules:

Hanan lived upto his promise & now he is making sure to do what makes Uswa happy. Obviously, being the youngest child, he will always have a different level of affection & connection with his mother which even Uswa should respect but yes, Bakhtawar should also not take advantage of her position in Hanan’s life by disturbing his marital life.

A lot of viewers might see Uswa as wrong but I see her differently because it was Bakhtawar who pushed Uswa to this limit where she lost respect that she had for Bakhtawar as Hanan’s mother. Right from the beginning, Bakhtawar had an issue with Uswa being opinionated & strong-willed. Bakhtawar tried to turn Uswa into another Beenish & Hanan into another Moeez but when that didn’t happen, she couldn’t tolerate it. In my opinion, it was Bakhtawar who started all this by brain feeding Hanan against Uswa which resulted in him hitting her, so I find Uswa justified in going to such extreme where she is mistreating Bakhtawar while trying to save her marriage. Uswa didn’t leave Hanan even after how he abused her, so it does mean that she wants to make this marriage work.

Bakhtawar has not even respected Beenish for doing everything that she says & she still looks for a chance to rile Moeez up against Beenish so it did sound a little ironic when Bakhtawar gave Beenish’s example to Uswa. If Bakhtawar had at least respected Beenish for what she has become & what she puts up with, it would’ve made a different impact on Uswa but now she has seen that no matter what Beenish does, it still is not enough for her to be respected & treated as a normal family member.

Beenish got to speak to one of Moeez’s girlfriends but then again, it made no difference & it will make no difference because Moeez has made it clear to Beenish that she means nothing to him. All Beenish has to do is accept all of it because she knows she can not change anything.

Maria makes a lot of sense & she didn’t even hold back in letting her mother know that everything that Uswa was doing especially the way she was lying in the name of saving her marriage was wrong. Obviously, her mother didn’t pay heed to what Maria was saying but her concerns are valid.

Hanan has actually changed & that is what is giving Uswa a lot more reason to stand tall in front of Bakhtawar. Their face off’s are always well-worded & well-executed. I really don’t agree with what Bakhtawar says about the foundation of her household & the importance of her values because of all that is based on disparity & injustice. Bakhtwar has different rules for her sons & completely different rules for her daughters in law so it is amusing that she expects everyone to abide by those rules which do not serve any purpose other than pleasing Bakhtawar!

Closing Thoughts – Powerful Direction & Acting:

Khud Parast Episode 1 – Story Review

Introduction:

Ohkay so, the writing of Radain Shah, direction of Aabis Raza & production of Big Bang Entertainment; Khud Parast is a prime time drama that commenced on Saturday on ARY Digital. The first episode was detailed & established the plot pretty well. I had a great time watching it & definitely looked forward to the next episode when the first episode of Khud Parast ended.

Main Characters & Plot:

Uswa (Ramsha Khan) is a confident & independent girl who always does what she feels like. Uswa along with her sister Maria has been raised like that by her mother who believes she has to support her daughters every step of the way. Uswa also has 2 brothers Ehsan (Saife Hassan) & Omar, they both are married & their wives feel that Uswa & Maria get unnecessary edge & a bit too much of freedom for their own good.

Khud Parast Episode 1 - Story Review

On the other hand Hannan’s (Shehzad Sheikh) household was introduced – they are shown to be practicing Muslims who hold onto their values & norms a bit too much. Hannan’s mother (Asma Abbas) is a conservative & rigid woman who believes in controlling her family members. She is looking for a girl for Hannan to get married to & that is when she stumbles upon Uswa & her mother in a clothing store. Hannan’s Sister in law (Nosheen Shah) is a subdued person who does what her mother in law tells her to do. Hannan does feel that even his niece Hooriya is also growing up to be like that but Hooriya’s mother tells him that is only because of her surroundings. Hannan who is accustomed to this environment does not really understand what his sister in law is trying to say & doesn’t also put much thought into it.

Khud Parast Episode 1 - Story Review

Maria is engaged to Rameez & they are just about to get married. Rameez’s friend Adeel gets to have an interaction with Uswa & kind of likes her attitude where she does not pay much attention to him. Adeel is shown to be a playboy who has had quite a lot of affairs in the past. I have a feeling that Adeel might be Hannan’s younger brother, let’s see.

Khud Parast Episode 1 - Story Review

Closing Thoughts:

Overall the first episode of Khud Parast was interesting & pretty decent. They are slowly building the curiosity & it is obvious that Hannan’s perfect-looking family is full of dark secrets & the writer will show how religious households are regressive & oppressive. I hope to see a balance being maintained without making things a bit too black & white. It is good to see Ramsha Khan in non-smokey makeup, even though in this drama again she has relied on a lot of makeup but the overall look isn’t too heavy or glam, which is good to see. Everyone’s acting was decent & so was the direction. Please share your thoughts about the first episode of Khud Parast.

Khoya Khoya Chand Episode 1 and 2 – A Tragic Start

0

This serial revolves around three characters as we have all seen in promos.Coming towards the formal introduction Aarib( Ahsan Khan) comes from a family that is based in Islamabad. For job purpose,he moves to Murree and visits his parents weekly. Like other ordinary days, one fine day when he was about to begin his journey for Islamabad,he came across Ahmereen (Maya Ali ) for the very first time. And his love story began with the famous phrase of ” love at first sight“.

Presentation1

Aarib,by nature, sounds very quiet and mature kind of person but after having his encounter with Ahmereen,he was all lost. Whereever she goes,he started following her. From markets to her hostel,he spends every moment with her but Ahemereen was totally unaware of the fact that Aarib is following her like crazy man.And who can forget that Salman Khan’s incident ,when Aarib came to know that Ahemereen likes Salman Khan too much, he started following his styles for her. And that Ahmereen .who always adored everything related to Salman Khan, when saw Aarib from behind (wearing Salman type of clothes)  laughed out loudly.

Slide2

This clearly depicts that styles that famous artists carry sounds truly amazing till we watch them onscreen. In real life, they look more then pathetic.. I mean, seriously, who would like to wear a shocking pink shirt that Salman Khan wears and parrot green kurta(Sanjay Datt’s style) in real life.I know, I know ,there would be some people among you who won’t agree with my point still I will stick to the fact that there is no need to follow everything that is in fashion. Adopt what that suits you and what that you can carry easily.

Talking about Anganbeen (Sohai Ali ), she was seriously in love with her cousin who got engaged recently and now she is getting depressed day by day. She tried to sort out all the matter by meeting her cousin. But her meeting was useless as her cousin chose his mother’s love and sacrifice instead of his own.Poor Angabeen returns home hopelessly and tell her parents that she is ready to get married to anyone that her parents want.

On the other side, Ahmereen leaves Murree and Aarib searches for him for whole month. As, all Aarib knows about Ahmereen was her name and her hostel address,so, he visits the hostel along with his friend but it was also of no use.In the meanwhile, Aarib’s mother get a serious injury on her foot and Aarib blames himself for that.He keeps on thinking that if he was with his parents ,who are all alone, this could never had happened.

Confused in his thoughts, he decides that he will choose his parents prosperity instead of his own one sided love. He decides to get married and the girl to whom he got married was Angabeen.Twisting part of the story  comes when Ahmereen comes and introduce herself by saying that “Dulha bhaie mai houn apke aklauti saali ” .

Presentation1

That was the time when Aarib got completely shattered. He felt as if he was the unluckiest person on earth and discusses the same thing with his childhood friend who consoles him and make him realize the real fact.Halfheartedly, he goes to his room where Angabeen was sitting completely lost in her thoughts and on getting Kangan as gift, she returns him by recalling the past with her cousin and saying that she doesnt wear Kangan.

Presentation1

Now plot is revolving around Aarib and Ahemereen’s relation.Everything is going fine between Angabeen and Aarib but whenever Ahemereen and Aarib come across each other, Aarib feels so much uncomfortable. And for that Aarib refuses to go to the dinner at Angabeen khala’s place.

Episode 2 ends when Aarib decides to go to the dinner when Angabeen was already gone after taking permission from him and as he opens the door , Angabeen was asking her cousin to talk to her by holding his arm strongly. Let’s see what will happen next..

Till then

Khoya Khoya Chand – Episode 4

0

This week’s episode had so much to ponder upon.First and foremost, the relation of Aaarib and Angabeen and secondly Ahmereen and Farooq’s issue.

Firstly,I would like to put Angabeen and Aarib relation into limelight. Angabeen is wholly and solely trying to make her relation stout with Aarib. She is giving her best to give Aarib a glance that this relation can be as much sturdy and strong as any couple’s relation. On the other hand, everytime she tries to move one step ahead of her current situation, she gets badly seized by those memories of Farooq that left a mark on her mind for lifetime.

Aarib is equally giving an effort to extract the best aspects out of him for Angabeen. As for him,Angabeen is a pure sole and she deserves to be loved and cared. His solicitude ,always leaves Beena in an uncomfortable situation because according to her,she is not doing justice to Aarib’s soulful emotions.

There are many Aarib and Angabeen in our society who are married and are forcefully put into such situations. All they have to do is just to forget the past and move on with life. Never curse yourself for what you have done in past because your past can’t come back. A person only ruins his present by abhorring and detesting himself for his past. Past is past , you can’t change it. Try to face the reality. I know it would be difficult in the  beginning. Try to convince yourself that you have to live with it and if this is your fate than why not accepting it and welcoming it with gratitude ?  Once you are done with accepting the fact, life will be no more a series of disgust for you.

Coming to Ahmereen and Farooq’s relation, they are good buddies and more than that they are cousins. But keeping the scenario in mind, they come from a generation where a girl and a boy’s ultra-frank attitude towards each other is not at all considered to be vicious. Similarly, their parents and other elders came from a generation where moral values and ethics are there life time achievement.

Now for our generation, this point was lame that how can an engagement be broken up for this reason that they are good buddies. But seriously, every fiancé is over protective about one’s partner and what Farooq’s fiancé did was not at all new. Par engagement torr daina was not a sensible act.

His to be father-in-law- could have listened to what they wanted to explain but he did not. Now, Ahmereen will be considered as culprit of whole stance.

Preview of next episode was really interesting as Beena will now attempt to contact Farooq again. What will be the future of Aarib and Beena’s relation? To know this and many more, keep on reading.

Khoya Khoya Chand – Episode 3

0

Well, this episode was all about Aarib attempting to avoid Ahmereen. Aarib and Angabeen share a nice bond. Despite of all this, everytime Aarib comes across Ahmereen, he feels so much uncomfortable and to keep himself away from her, all he do is to speak to her as much badly as he can. His attitude is not at all liked by Ahmereen and for this reason she has now developed a sense of enmity for him.

Unlike typical husbands,Aarib did not take it seriously when Ahmereen asked her Khala about Angabeen and Farooqs marriage. But Farooq took it seriously and advised Ahmereen that she should be careful while choosing her words before speaking.`Her this statement could have arose a serious problem for them but luckily,it did not.

It is natural that if somebody is all over you then even if we try not to think about that particular person, our mind leads us to the hallway of one`s thoughts and imaginations. So was the case with Aarib but every time he thinks of Ahemereen , his prestigious relation with Ahmereen comes in his mind and he recollects himself strongly.

Another noticeable part of today`s episode was Farooq and Ahmereen friendly attitude with each other. In this society of ours, friendly relation among cousins is seen with pessimistic eyes. Now, everyone is arising questions regarding Farooq and Ahmereen`s relation though they don’t have any feelings for each other. Ahmereen`s happy-go-lucky nature will lead her towards some serious trouble someday.

Considering the fact that Farooq and Angabeen were once interested in each other, Angabeen is feeling guilty as if she is betraying her husband. I really liked Aarib`s loyalty towards Angabeen and vice versa as they both prayed to Allah to keep themselves away from doing such acts that can ruin their marital life.

Anagbeen and Aarib will be living all alone in Murree now. I am waiting for the episode when Aarib will get completely recover from Ahmereen`s thoughts and will live wholly for Anagabeen.Else, there could also be some twists and turns in this serial that are still unfolded.

Khoya Khoya Chaand – The Winds of Change

0

Finally, we are coming across few developments in the storyline. Ahmereen refused to go with Farooq due to sheer patriotism filled to the fullest in her. Farooq doesn’t want to compel Ahmereen to go to Japan with him without having mutual consent with her and for that he asked her to meet him. As soon as she saw Farooq, she started yelling at her and without allowing Farooq to utter a single word, she announced her final decision that she, herself, isn’t ready to get married to him.

Then comes Farooq and Beena’s discussion where they made everything crystal clear for us to understand and for Aarib too as he listened everything ,of course aimlessly, when he was about to enter Beena’s house.

Aarib is one of his own kinds who can apply rule of “Forgive-and-Forget” to anyone who curses him and leave him in a situation difficult to handle. Being an eastern husband, his reaction to the situation which he faced was commendable. Instead of squabbling, he convinced himself to stay calm and quiet. and for that when Beena asked him to stay and don’t go away, he stopped promptly.

Beena’s uneasiness and Farooq’s concern for Aarib and Beena’s marital life was clearly illustrating that they are expecting the unexpected from Aarib.  It was Aarib’s greatness that he was sitting and listening Beena when she went along with Aarib. Else, men of our society are very reluctant to talk about such matters once they come to know that there wife is/was having affair with her own cousin.

To untangle the matter, Farooq decided to meet Aarib and when they met I was surprised to hear Aarib’s point of view. He was still concerned and had no question on Beena’s character. He was better understanding the situation maybe because he went through same phase in his recent past and still trying to get out of mental trauma in which Ahmereen left him.

Beena’s parents are still confused that what made Beena to go with Aarib without even bothering her to tell them that she is leaving. Beena made it clear to her parents that she is happy and there isnot anything going between her and Aarib the way they are thinking.

Lucky Beena felt proud to have such and understanding husband. Undoubtedly,  Beena was luckiest of lucky and blessed one that she got Aarib as his husband because he not only accepted her open-heartedly but also made her comfortable by saying that he won’t tell anyone about this matter.

Things started to settle down between Beena and Aarib. Aarib cares for Beena and Beena is now valuing every large heart giving that he is immolating and showering on her.

Preview of next episode has forecasted the turning point of this show. I never expected this show to head in totally different direction. While giving birth or after giving birth to her child, Beena will die. And as my instinct says, Aarib and Ahmereen will get married. Let’s see whether my prediction will live up to the mark or not.

Do give your feedback about today’s episode.

Khoya Khoya Chaand – The regret

0

Today’s episode had nothing new to offer once again but there are a lot of things that are required to be discussed and ponder upon . Right from the first scene where Beena was asking her parents to  say a big NO to khala jaan on Ahmereen’s proposal,I thought that Angabeen will lie about Ahmereen. Her parents asked her whether Ahmereen has issue with this marriage or not? Thankfully, Beena didnot lie and tell them truth that she even don’t know about proposal. This clearly depicted that Beena is not in state of enmity, instead, she can’t see her sister getting married to the person whom she loved throughout her life.

Two sisters share beautiful onscreen chemistry and there every minutest concern narrates that they are completely sincere, faithful and loyal to each other as far as siblings relation is concerned. I am happy with fact that siblings rivalry issue has not been raised in this very serial too. Because with it, this serial would have become some typical serial.. wesai hai tou abhi bhi.. still its better..

Due to Beena’s pathetic expressions (I don’t like her expressions today ), her sister guessed that there is something going between Aarib and Beena due to which Beena is upset. She discussed this scenario with her mother too. Like all other mothers,at first ,Beena’s mother said same words, Abb tum mujhe wehem mai naa daalo. But as soon as she heard beena’s call when  Beena asked her  while crying that she want to visit her.Beena’s mother discussion with Ahmereen that she was right put Ahmereen on fire and she went to Beena’s place. I really like how situation turned out and everyone was laughing instead of having some typical gharailoo laraie jhagra.

Ahmereen and Aarib’s part was well directed. From that horn to Ahmereen afraid look on hearing dog bark, all went really well. On serious note, Ahsan Khan and Maya Ali look really nice as a couple.I hope that they will get casted in some serial as a couple very soon.

Beena’s state of continuous tension is an alarming situation for her marital life.Since Farooq broke up his engagement, she is no more interested in Aarib. All she is thinking about is Farooq and that will pay her off soon. I also found that Farooq is not at all interested in marrying Ahmereen and so was Ahmereen but they have to do it for the sake of their families. With every passing day,Beena is regretting that why she got married so early ?

One thing that is being adored by me is OST of this serial. The lyrics, music and video create a very different aura and I always enjoy watching its OST. Overall, this serial has bunch of some really good looking artists, nice locations and very soothing music that makes it liked by everyone warna story is not that much engaging.

Will Ahmereen be able to find out Beena’s hidden secret? Will Ahmereen and Farooq get married?  All of answers will be given in next couple of episodes.

Khoya Khoya Chaand – Is Angabeen feeling guilty ?

0

On serious note ,when I came across the promos of this serial ,I found it very attractive and expected it to be a very nice story with perfect direction. After all it is directed by Faheem Burney and we have very high expectations fr0m him after Yahan Pyar Nahi Hai and then Tanhayi.

Faheem’s specialty is that he pays pure attention to locations and I admire this approach of him because our country is not at all deprived of natural beauty. All you need is to put some effort in going and managing to make a serial with beautiful outdoor locations. This will not only help in getting a great viewership of serial but also help out Tourism sector to grow economically which is the need of hour.

Anyhow,I am not at all finding this serial engaging right from the beginning but this episode somehow managed to grab my attention. Beena tried to break up Ahmereen and Farooq’s engagement by hook or by crook. But she was badly failed in every step she took and she finally gave up in breaking up this engagement.

2 3  She asked Farooq to go out of her life so that she will be able to compromise with the situation she has been put in. She is right at her place that if Farooq will live infront of her as her brother in law,how will she be able to forget everything. She is ready to forget everything but not at the cost of letting her sister get married to Farooq.

4

On the other side,Aarib is feeling lonely without Beena. Poor Aarib, keeps on thinking about Beena without having any negative thoughts for Ahmereen. He is not taking much time to move on with his life as compared to Beena. From last couple of episodes,Beena made every situation to be more complex and intense and there was a time when I thought that this marriage will no longer exist. But it was Aarib ho sorted every possible way out and made it work for them. There wasnot even a slightly little effort from Beena’s side except for one episode as far as I remember.

1

Beena is realizing that Aarib is an extremely caring and loving husband.Apart from that, she has also developed a sense of respect and care for him as he is the one who was always there for her even at worse times when she was letting him down.

And now when Beena is ready to go along-with Aarib, Beena’s mother is asking her to stay at her home. I wonder why Beena is not speaking up and telling her mother that Aarib is extremely nice and caring husband and he is not at all the way she and Ahemreen thinks of her.It is th fruiot of all the ambiguities that were developed by Beena in heart of her mother and sister merely for Farooq.

5

Poor Aarib didnot give any clarification every time he comes across such type of situation neither he ask for any explanation form Beena’s side.So far, 9 episodes of this serial have been aired and it was dragged slowly and worsly. I hope when Aarib will come to know about Beena’s reality ,he will accept her. But this wont be the story I guess. Whatever will happen, I need a strong turn in this story as I can’t sit through one more episode of this serial anymore.

Stay Blessed,
Rabia Basharat.

Khoya Khoya Chaand – Episode 5

0

Well,on serious note, I am unable to make up my mind to sit for another episode of this serial.Last couple of episodes have made this drama serial quite dull and boring.

Story is revolving around Angabeen and Aarib relation again and again.. or wohe Bina and farooq ka relation. While on the other side, just like last episode Aarib is making up his mind to stay away from Ahmereen but every time he come across her or just hear her voice, his nostalgia was there to haunt him.

p1

Poor Aarib’s efforts failed once again. He asked Bina for dinner and shopping. She was happy that Aarib has no issues with her and so was Aarib. And then after hearing news about Farooq, she was completely shattered. She was feeling disgusted at her own fate. It was Farooq because of which she agreed to get married to Aarib and now he is single again. Kaisai karti bardaasht phir..

As we know, our Sohai Abroo always perform to perfection  whenever it comes to sad roles.Yahan par bhi she was looking and sounding  more than perfect.

p3In this episode,we also came across of the fact that why Ahmereen and Farooq issue was given importance and was put into limelight. Mamoo jaan appeared to be such a stubborn person whereas Farooq was also considering this matter as his insult and for that he was reluctant to patch up with his ex-fiancé.

Attitude and behavior of Farooq’s mother is beyond my level of understanding. Firstly, she appeared to be detesting Ahmereen and suddenly she asked Bina’s mother for Farooq and Ahmereen’s marriage. How come ? I know that its Farooq because of whom questions were raised on Ahmereen character and Khala is feeling pity on Ahmereen ,still, it was such an abrupt change in Khala. Yahan par write up fail ho jata hai.

p2Aarib is giving his 100 percent to be a perfect husband and for that when he saw Beena sad,he asked her immediately. As soon as he came to know that his wife is sad because of her family,he asked her to go to Islamabad to meet her parents. Beena is not at all valuing her husband’s pure concern for her and she will have to pay for it very soon when Aarib will come to know about her attempts to get Farooq even after getting married.

p4How can Beena tolerate her sister as wife of the one she loved throughout her life. For that and many more, she is completely against this marriage and is making efforts to convince her parents to say a big NO to Khala g.

Next episode’s preview is sounding a bit interesting as I can smell two sisters rivalry in it.

Let’s see what happens next.

Rabia Basharat.

Khoya Khoya Chaand – And stubbornness continues..

0

So far,we came across compromising aspect of Angabeen. But from last couple of episodes, it can be easily observed that Beena is not what we thought of her, she is totally different. And I must say that difference in Beena’s attitude is primarily because of farooq and Ahmereen engagement plans.

1We have seen in last episode that how Aarib is attempting to forget his past and trying to move on with his life but Angabeen is the one who has changed her attitude completely in reverse direction, ofcourse.Ahmereen came to stay with Angabeen and Aarib and to know why Beena is always down. Sadly, this part is poorly directed and we,viewers, were incompletely unaware of what Ahmereen told her mother regarding Beena and Aarib’s relation. And then Beena got the good news that she will be a mother soon. That news made her happy for a while and then she was back to her previous mood with 180 degree change. As soon as Beena came to know that Ahmereen has no issue in accepting farooq as his husband, she started to stop Ahmereen from getting married to Farooq with every possible way.

2

I hated this thing of Beena that she didnot hesitated to put everything on her husband infront of Ahemereen for the sake of rejection of Farooq’s proposal.I must say that a faithful woman shouldnot do this for her man, neither portray her man to be worse husband nor should she be unthankful to Allah Almighty for bestowing His blessings upon her.Beena is playing with her life and she will have to bear the consequences soon.Despite of the fact that I hated Beena throughout of episode, she was looking really pretty at Ahmereen’s engagement.

3

Whole episode revolved around one single demand of Beena that she dont want to go with Aarib.Poor Aarib was unable to figure out that what is the reason behind it. And even after asking her again and again,he was asked to keep his mouth shut (ofcourse indirecty) that Beena feels depressed as and when Aarib leaves her alone at home and her situation supported this lame excuse of her.

4

Misunderstanding between Aarib and Beena’s family also developed only because of Beena’s silly demand. She wanted to live in Islamabad only because of breaking up Ahmereen and Farooq’s engagement.

Aarib left Beena with a hope that she will be fine soon and will return back to home. But preview of next episode is depicting something else.Fuss will be created and Beena will be asked by her mother infront of Aarib to stay in Islamabad at her own mother’s house.

He is still very thankful to Allah SWT and he praises his contemporaries Sohail Ahmed, Shagufta Ijaz, Megha and Rashid Mehmood who have stood by him. Khasara Episode 7 Review – Below Average!

Ohkay so, another week, another average episode of Khasara. I for once do not understand the unnecessary focus, did I say unnecessary, focus on Sila’s beauty because I really rub my eyes, blink hard but still fail to see what they want me to!

Sila has not only succeeded in having Mohtasim’s sights on her but it seems Linta’s unmarried cousin who was hopelessly in love with her just a couple of episodes ago also started picturing himself with Sila, despite knowing that she is a mum of 2. It was funny that Sila turned out to be the reason why that cousin got excited for moving back to Pakistan? Desperate alert!

Mohtasim started playing mind games with Linta only to have her appoint Moanis as his secretary, so that he can keep his sights on Sila & often meet her as she seems to mindlessly open the doors of her home for him. Linta despite having issues agreed because she could see that her husband was so-called struggling with the work load. I must say I couldn’t really believe that Mohtasim, after being caught with Arzoo at her place was still casually taking her name in front of his wife, that she shouldn’t have fired her in haste? Matlab dhitai to khatam hai in pe! & what was even more bizarre was that Linta didn’t seem to mind at all?

Ahzar happened be another predator who tried his luck on Sila, the beauty queen!?!?!?!?! Moanis’ reaction was natural & justified, he served Azhar what he deserved but I was shocked seeing Sila’s calm after going through something so disgusting. Yes, she was upset but she bounced back pretty quickly & went back to being her usual, normal, stupid self & she was once again being chummy with Mohtasim, the guy who has already held her hand indecently once or may be twice. At least they should have shown that Sila grew a little uncomfortable around men after what just happened. The way Azhar treated Sila, it should have come as such a huge shock for her to at least take some time to recover but it looked like she forgot all about it the next day.

Sila’s rants & incessant nagging about wanting a better lifestyle has become monotonous to the point of being annoying. Also, the dialogues coming from Sila suggested that she wouldn’t mind playing with the fire as she might then name it as something she did out of curiosity for it. Areeba said the right thing, Sila is lucky to have a husband like Moanis but she wouldn’t understand, obviously Areeba does because she has to deal with a loser like Azhar who is good for nothing but has a huge ego!

I must say, the way these ladies rub their husband’s egoes is weird. Areeba continues to blame herself for not being able to have a child while completely ignoring the fact that her husband is not an ideal man to have a child with because he won’t change even after becoming a father. Simiarly, Linta thinks being overly affectionate to the point of being clingy to Mohtasim will keep him away from cheating on her whereas she doesn’t know that he has moved on from Arzoo pretty quickly & is now stuck at Sila. Very average story & the characters are below average! Please share your thoughts.

Keep Supporting,
Cheers,
Zahra Mirza.
