Taimoor Jamshed, son of the late singer-turned preacher and host Junaid Jamshed, took on twitter to share a rare picture of the legend Aamir Zakir alongside his father.

In the picture, Zaki can be seen playing the guitar alongside Junaid and Rohail Hyatt. Zaki had been part of their band, Vital Signs, briefly during 1994.

This picture was tweeted by Salman who gave the credits of the picture to Taimoor, who retweeted the picture on his account. He also expressed his love and adoration for the legend in these words ‘(Aamir Zaki was) one of the greats of our time. His guitar solo in Aitebaar left millions mesmerized’

According to family and friends, Zaki died of heart failure on Friday. He was 49. His brother, Shahid Zaki, said Aamir had been suffering from a prolonged illness. He was laid to rest early Saturday morning at a local graveyard

As the rumors caught fire in the social media with the news that Junaid Jamshed is returning to music and has been seen in a studio with the Vital signs again, is now easy to be disclosed with the latest patriotic song been released few hours back.

Junaid Jamshed died in a plan crash in Skardu in December 2016. He was on a religious trip to Skardu. He left three sons, a daughter and a widow. His son Babur Junaid Jamshed often appears on television. Babur loves to recite his father’s Naats as well.

Lately, Babur Junaid Jamshed made an appearance in Nadir Ali’s podcast. In the podcast, Nadir Ali and Babur talked about Junaid Jamshed’s last voice note, his death news and wish of Martyrdom (Shahadat).

Talking about the last voice note, Nadir Ali said, “If you allow, I want to know about your last moments with Junaid Jamshed. I would also like to talk about his last voice note which was shared by Arsalan Bhai, who used be with him. I heard his last voice note, I heard that he used to say MashaAllah, Insha Allah very frequently but in that last voice note he said, “I will come to Karachi” and by the will of Allah, he forgot to say In Sha Allah and it never happened, this was again Allah’s will”. Babur Junaid was touched to know that Nadir Ali heard his father’s last voice note. Here is the link to the video:

Talking about it, Babur Junaid Jamshed said, “I was at home when we heard Baba’s new. My mother told this to me but again, I want to tell you something. I have never shared it before that he wanted Shahadat. He used to say, ‘I know my ills and wrongdoings, I want to be forgiven’ and that’s why he wanted the death of Shahadat. It was our father’s biggest wish to embrace Shahadat, you won’t believe that he always used to do the same Dua in which he used to ask Shahadat. We used to get worried, my mother used to get angry on his prayers but it was like that”. Babur Junaid Jamshed also said that he was very good, kind, humble and friendly person and these qualities were gifted to him by Allah.

Junaid Jamshed was famous Pakistani Naat Khuwan and religious teacher. He first rose to fame as a popular Pakistani singer. Junaid Jamshed passed away in December 2016 in a tragic plane crash. Recently, his son Babar Junaid Jamshed first time opened up about facing financial difficulties after his father’s death. He also talked about his inspiration behind joining Tableegh (becoming religious student).

Talking about facing hard times, Babar Junaid Jamshed said, “After our father’s death, we sold our house, it was becoming quite difficult for us to maintain that particular lifestyle, a lot of people think that we are lying when we talk about our financial difficulties but we really had to go through financial issues. At the time of our father’s death, he was the only bread earner of our house and we all were students. Well, Allah always tests his selective people”. Babar Junaid Jamshed further said, “people used to come to our house and would demand a hefty amount in the name of our father’s debt, they were the random people, we never knew about those people. How could we afford to pay that money, we didn’t know about our father’s financial dealings, his charities and his other businesses, we only knew about the outlet, we were completely blank about everything”

Talking about joining Tableegh He said, “after a few months, I thought that I should join Tableegh, I talked to my father’s friends including Saeed Anwar who took me with him for forty days tour of Tableegh, after which I never looked back” Here is the link to the video:

Junaid Jamshed during one of his talks said something about one of the Prophet’s (PBUH) wives which enraged many other Ulemas and also hurt the sentiments of the public. Some of the Ulemas and Islamic parties gave the fatwa that such a sin could not be forgiven. They also said that the only punishment for Junaid Jamshed’s crime was that he should be sentenced to death.

Junaid Jamshed apologized from the nation and even from the Ulemas individually but things continued to get worse. Junaid Jamshed has left the country and is in London right now. He has no immediate plans to return. The tweets by Junaid Jamshed clearly indicate that he is in grief. Junaid Jamshed also expressed his sentiments in an open letter to anyone who wants to read it.
