The ‘Sada Hoon Apne Pyaar Ki’ singer Humaira Arshad has been in news for filing a divorce from her husband actor Ahmad Butt.

The singer approached a family court in Lahore on Wednesday to file a petition to start divorce proceedings once humagain. She had withdrawn her earlier plea for khula in January this year.

While speaking to media outside the court the singer said,

“For the sake of my son, I had reconciled with my husband despite all our differences,”

She further added,

“But I cannot live with him anymore as I am subjected to violence and am fed up of daily fights,”

The ghazal singer has been in a testing relationship with her husband and the couple has publicly accused each other of fraud and abuse, among other things on multiple occasions.

The two tied the knot in 2004. Back in May 2015, Humaira formally announced she and her husband were separating ways. But in November 2016, she said that she and Butt had set aside their differences and agreed to live together again.

The matter surfaced once again in November 2017 as Humaira leveled accusations against her husband, alleging that he attacked her home and beat up her family. Following the allegations, the couple reconciled once again as Humaira withdrew her earlier divorce plea on January 9 this year.

Humaira Arshad has said in the past that Butt insulted her in front of their neighbours, beating her in public and pulling her hair, all of which had led to a lot of stress and embarrassment.

It is wedding season in the Malik house as the youngest Malik, Khaani actor Feroze Khan is tying the knot. Feroze is marrying a girl from Karachi who is not related to the showbiz industry. Apparently, someone leaked the pictures of Feroze’s wedding invites on social media and the family wants the affair to be private. So Humaima took to her Instagram and appealed for privacy from all the fans as she thanked them for immense love. Here is Humaima’s post:

Humaima Malik is one such celebrity who shares a strong bond with the family. Recently, she made a post on Instagram sharing the trauma she and the family had to go through, since her sister was hospitalized after consuming some weight loss pills. She revealed how her 22 years old sister Dua Malik, had been at a verge of death due to consuming FitFibre pills. The actress shared her anger and distress due to her sister’s condition and slammed the brand for selling stale products.

I am just shocked where our society is going. I really want to tell the world what trauma our family is going through. As you all know that my sister Dua is a 22 years young healthy successful mum to two kids. This company @fitfibre offered her to try out their product. Yesterday she tried out the very first capsule on much persistence and the entire day she was in severe pain and ended up in hospital. We as a family were in a trauma. Not only we have spent so much money on making her survive but we went through so much pain that cannot be described in words I just felt a responsibility to make people aware about their product and how much damaged they can cause. God forbid if anything happened to my sister I would never let them live in peace. Thank you fit fibre we surely know this was your year end stock!! @fitfibre

FitFibre has denied the allegations and said the posts by Humaima were tantamount to defamation and cyber bullying. “Recently there has been an Instagram and Facebook post put up by Dua Malik stating that due to her use of FitFibre she was hospitalized. We as a company take our integrity very seriously, which is why we are issuing this statement to clarify the situation and address what we feel is tantamount to defamation and cyber bullying,” The company wrote in a Facebook Post.
