Ohkay so, this episode of Dil Mom Ka Diya was mind-numbing, not because of what actually happened with the main characters but because of the way the supporting characters acted & reacted. They all are in dire need of a life I feel!
Supporting Actors AKA Over Actors:
Ulfat was adamant that she had to part ways with Afzal & she kept on trying. Ulfat could see that Afzal was still not losing his patience & wanted to make things work but just because she didn’t want to, she kept on pushing all the wrong buttons. First meeting Salma’s husband & then creating an issue at Afzal’s office guaranteed her a divorce & she finally got one. I must say for the first time we got to see how a proper divorce takes place where there is still a chance of reconciliation so props to the writer for showing the true picture!
Everyone around Ulfat wanted her to get back with Afzal but she just didn’t want to. For the first time after seeing her reactions, I felt that the writer will give her such an ending where she will either lose her sanity or perhaps end her life. These are the only two possible endings that I can see Ulfat’s character will meet, let’s see.
Well well well, now coming onto the side characters. I am sure the actor playing the role of Aqmal must have demanded some scenes where he could show his acting skills that is why he over-reacted so much that firstly, I laughed out loud & secondly, actually wondered if divorce was such a hugeee deal that could evoke such a reaction from a grown up chota bhai of the one who actually got divorced? Aqmal was never fond of Ulfat so I guess he should have controlled himself & expressed relief that finally an evil woman was out of Afzal’s life but oh boy, all that crying, screaming & in the end pointing a gun at someone because of a single loose comment was just too irrational & unrealistic. I mean Afzal was healthy & fine, it wasn’t as if Ulfat killed him for Aqmal to react that way. Well, that was his moment of glory as he got to act because till now he was just a ghost character hovering in the background for the most part!
Now coming onto another psychotic & super annoying character – Salma. Yes, she was also not fond of Ulfat but to misbehave with Tamkinat & assume that she was the same as Ulfat was just so pathetic. If I remember correctly, it was Salma who approved Ulfat based on her looks & she was pretty rigid in finding her over-aged brother a super young beautiful bride so she got one so why was she overreacting to such an extent that she even wanted Tamkinat out of Azhar’s life!!! She got what she deserved as she had such shallow standards & parameters set for Afzal’s dulhan so? Thank God Kausar made sense & spoke wisely where she didn’t want anyone to hold Tamkinat accountable for Ulfat’s actions!
Moving onto Azhar, to be honest, as much as he loves Tamkinat, I feel she’d be better off with someone else, someone who at least sees her for who she is & not put her under scrutiny for someone else’s deeds. It seems as if both Tamkinat & Azhar didn’t have anything else in their lives than a tag of being associated with Afzal & Ulfat that apart from their relationship, they both didn’t have anything of their own!?!?! Azhar can just stop & do his own thing because he surely doesn’t deserve Tamkinat especially how he has treated her because of whatever Ulfat has said or done time & again!?!?!
Also, direction to kamal ki hai. In the last episode when Molvi Sahab passed away, Farhat’s mum in law was some other lady who told her daughter to leave with her but she changed in this episode!?!?! Anyways, whatever Ulfat did cast a shadow on Farhat’s life too & I could understand her incassant tears, since she was desperate to get married. Oh well, this episode had a truckload of tears to an extent that every time I saw Tamkinat clinging with her Chachi or Farhat & being their partner in crying, I found myself giggling at their forced misery!
Closing Thoughts – Upcoming Misery:
Chalo, now that Ulfat is out of Afzal’s life, I think she will drag Tamkinat out of Azhar’s life too but then again, I won’t hold her responsible for Azhar’s actions because he is not a toddler who can’t make his own decisions. I hope in the upcoming episodes, these side characters take a step back & don’t overreact so much, especially Aqmal, overacting ki dukan. Humayun Saeed is coming back to the small screen. After giving hits like Punjab Nahin Jaongi and Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2, the star will be back on the television screens and the team put together is something to look forward to. As was revealed earlier the drama titled Meray Paas Ho Tum will have Humayun Saeed in the lead role. The whole Punjab Nahin Jaongi team is behind the project as the script is written by none other than Khalil ur Rehman Qamar and the director for the project is Nadeem Baig.
Naturally, curiosity was at an all-time high about who will be the leading lady for the highly anticipated project and now we have the name and it is the phenomenal Ayeza Khan. Ayeza is currently being seen in Koi Chand Rakh opposite Imran Abbas. This is going to be an interesting pair to watch Ayeza and Humayun together who will be playing a married couple.
Ayeza is very excited for the role and is also nervous at the same time as this is a kind of a role she has never done before and finds it challenging.

Recently, Sarwat Gillani appeared on the much loved Samina Peerzada show, the 35-year-old actor talked about family, relationship and her marriage to Fahad Mirza. Although, She was married to someone else before she married Fahad, she has time and again stated that Fahad was always her first love.
She further revealed that two of them were seeing each other when they were in College. Fahad was studying medicine and Sarwat was a graphics design student. Sarwat said that Fahad always did well in the exams but he failed once and so did she when they were in a relationship. It was then their parents made them realise that the two were too young to commit to each other. She shared that they mutually ended their relationship. Although, they had decided to get back after completing education but the life had something else to offer.
Now here is another twist, Sarwat said that Fahad showed up at one of her plays after seven years. She revealed that she had been in touch with his mother but not with Fahad. Earlier we reported that Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik have welcomed their baby boy on the Tuesday morning. Social media took no time to celebrate the addition in the power couple’s life. Shoaib Malik had tweeted about the baby’s arrival saying, “Excited to announce. It’s a boy, and my girl is doing great and keeping strong as usual #Alhumdulilah”
There was one other person from the family who was more excited than anyone else and that is none other than Sania’s baby sister Anam Mirza. Anam was spotted in a GIF with brother-in-law Shoaib Malik where she could not contain excitement.

Ohkay so, this episode of Balaa was again alright. It surely qualifies as a decent watch but as far as the story is concerned, there is nothing special about it. The main reason behind the story not being too appealing is that the writer has made everything quite one-sided where the evil is winning & the good is being exploited to the max that too because of its own shortcomings!
Nigar Has Taimoor’s Family Wrapped Around Her Finger:
As usual this episode of Balaa showed how everything was being turned in Nigar’s favor. Shama felt guilty & she is allowing Nigar to walk all over her only because she wants to keep peace in her household. Shama can clearly see that Taimoor has gotten attached to his wife that is why she not only went herself but also told Taimoor to curb his ego & bring Nigar back. It is good that Taimoor is pretty straight forward & doesn’t shy away from letting Nigar know what’s on his mind, at least he is approaching this relationship with transparency since day 1 but Nigar on the other hand takes pointers only to manipulate Taimoor further.
Shama can clearly see what is wrong with Nigar but she is choosing to stay silent from now on because she has realized that she can not compete with Nigar, she just doesn’t stand a chance of winning in front of Nigar. Batool has also started trusting the wrong person here because Nigar just wants her to get married to Junaid so she will obviously spin the situation against Batool so that she becomes heart broken & agrees to marrying Junaid.
The only thing I liked in this episode was the change in Zafar’s attitude towards Nigar. He can clearly see how he has raised Nigar & how it is back firing on him. It was good that he not only took a stand but also conveyed it very clearly to Nigar that he will destroy her life by spilling the beans if she will not oblige. That was the only unexpected & good twist that this episode of Balaa offered & I am keen to see if Zafar will set Nigar straight or not.
Shama is giving Nigar way more freehand than she deserves. I think in stead of crying helplessly, Shama should get her act together & undo Nigar’s evil plans. Don’t tell me that Shama will even allow Nigar to control her diet plan too? That entire scene was bizarre to be honest & as much as I want to feel for Shama, I don’t because she has brought this upon herself by her own choice & she is only making Nigar stronger by not doing anything about it.
Closing Thoughts – The Scenario Should Change:
Overall, this episode of Balaa was alright. I really hope things should change but I can only see things getting worse because now even Taimoor will believe Nigar & sympathize with her more while misunderstanding his mother, what a dud character I must say. I really think the writer shouldn’t have made things so one-sided because everything seems pretty unconvincing now. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Balaa.

It was only two days ago when Sania Mirza tweeted that walking just 2 Kilometers has become tiring for her. Who knew it was a hint that she is about to give a beautiful healthy baby Mirza Malik. Rumors were rife that the couple had given birth to a baby boy but they had rubbished the rumors. As rumors are mostly true, this rumor predicted their baby’s gender and ended up becoming a reality.
Shoaib Malik shared the news on Tuesday early in the morning via his twitter handle that his wife Sania has given birth to a baby boy. Shoaib Malik’s way of announcing the baby’s arrival was the sweetest. He thanked his followers for the prayers and informed that it was a boy and his girl is doing well. Well, that’s romantic.

Ohkay so, the production of 9th Degree Entertainment, direction of Amin Iqbal & writing of Atiya Daood; Deedan is a drama airing on A Plus Entertainment from last 3 weeks. It is a love story set in the North of Pakistan where the love that Zardab & Resham have for each other is tested & they go through thick & thin.
Characters & Dynamics:
Resham (Sanam Saeed), the only daughter of Shafi Ullah (Rasheed Naz) is in love with Zardab (Mohib Mirza) but her father does not approve. Zardab does not have enough money to hand it over to Resham’s father in order to ask for the proposal but he is definitely trying hard to save the amount Shafi Ullah demands. Resham & Zardab are hopelessly in love with each other & have some dreams where they picture themselves together in the future but unfortunately, the luck is not on their side.
Resham has a best friend Palwasha (Minsa Malik) & she is the only support Resham has as she wants to see Resham & Zardab happy together. Things get complicated when Gulbaz Khan (Ajab Gul) asks for Resham’s hand for his son Shehbaz Khan (Hassan Noman) & not only that, both the father & son duo promise to pay Shafi Ullah the amount he demands. That is when Shafi Ullah accepts their proposal & tells Resham that she has to get married to Shehbaz Khan.
Resham tries to elope with Zardab as that’s the only option they deem right but unfortunately, Shafi Ullah doesn’t let that happen. He not only isolates Resham but also lies to her that he killed Zardab & because Shafi Ullah had shot Zardab before, Resham doesn’t find it hard to believe that her father could actually kill him. Zardab does send his brother Dilawar Khan (Tipu Sharif) to ask for Resham’s proposal but Shafi Ullah rejects for his own selfish reasons.
Shebaz Khan is the only son of his parents who works hard in Dubai to support them. His mother Gul Makai (Huma Nawab) always asks her husband to get her son married so that his wife takes care of the household chores. Unfortunately, Resham gets married to Shebaz Khan & even before he leaves, Resham gets to know that she has only come to this house as a care-taker of his parents & there’s nothing more to it. Gul Makai acts like a typical mother in law who now has found a maid in the form of her daughter in law. Shafi Ullah tries to maintain a healthy relationship with Resham but she refuses to do that as she hasn’t been able to forgive her father for what he has done.
Resham’s hardships are far from being over & her patience will be tested again & again but unfortunately, she won’t have anyone to come to her rescue. Resham also misunderstands her best friend Palwasha & thinks that she told her father about Zardab & without even letting her explain, she cut ties with her. Resham only had one friend who actually sympathized with her but Resham’s impulsive attitude pushes her away as well. Palwasha on the other hand gets a proposal of her childhood friend Aalam Zaib (Sarfaraz Ashraf) & looks like she will leave for Karachi, leaving Resham all alone.
Closing Thoughts – Visual Treat:
So far, Deedan has had a decent start & there isn’t anything new to the story or characters but it is a done deal that the dynamics are about to change with the twist of Shehbaz Khan’s death in the next episode. If not for anything else, Deedan should definitely be watched for the phenomenal camera work that the director has relied on in order to do justice to the beauty of scenic locations that this drama is set in. Deedan surely is well directed visual treat with equally amazing acting done by all the actors. It is commendable how all of them have paid special attention to their accents, it definitely shows the amount of effort that everyone has put into the portrayal of their characters. So far not much focus has been given to the personalities of all these characters & because of that it seems I have started watching this drama mid-way but I hope we get to see more shades in the future episodes. The OST is really nice & I love the opening title & graphics too. Definitely interested to see how the rest of the story will unfold. Who doesn’t know Fakhr e Alam? He’s is an ace Pakistani national award winning film actor, TV host, VJ and singer. He introduced the rap/bhangra genre of music in Pakistan. Recently, he was in news for setting on a global journey as a part of his Mission Parwaaz. He became the first ever Pakistani to embark on this one of its kind solo journey.
He was doing well by far until Faysal Quraishi posted on his social media handles that he had received a message from Fakhr e Alam seeking help. According to the post, Fakhr e Alam was detained at the Russian airport after he fled from Japan to Alaska. The former censor board chief was kept in a room with no water or food and was denied access to his phone for hours.
Pakistan’s ambassador to Russia made sure that they would extend all their assistance to the actor. As per Asim Jofa’s tweet lately on the matter, Fakhr e Alam was granted visa, finally. We wish Fakhr e Alam a safe journey and all the best wishes for his Mission Parwaaz which aims at promoting Pakistan’s positive image. Fans have been worried all this time and made requests to the pages of the government offices to help the actor as soon as possible.
