I was quite unsure and nervous about my upcoming scene with him because I had to act alongside him. Then, Humayun Saeed called me over and said, “Let’s do the scene!” I became so tense because of his charismatic personality that I poorly executed my lines. I failed multiple times until Humayun Saeed realized I needed guidance. He read the lines, and I wish we had the footage of that scene because his acting was incredible. Humayun Saeed portrayed Zulmi in a brilliant style. I wanted him to do it once more because he truly nailed it”

Talking further about the specific scene, Ahsan said that Humayun Saeed told him that he had to show the happy emotions while telling about Iqbal Munna’s refusal to sit on the floor. Ahsan said that he was so surprised by Humayun Saeed’s attitude, he was so helpful.

Ahsan further added, “there was a scene with Ahmed Ali Butt in which we had to assure our loyalty with Iqbal Munna, it was my time to perform. I was quite active on the set and did that scene brilliantly. The next day, Humayun Saeed came and showed that scene to everyone that Zulmi (Ahsan) performed so well. He came to me and watched that scene with me and I wasn’t interested in the scene because I wanted to say Humayun Saeed, ‘I love you’, who showers this much love and appreciation to a newbie? it was unbelievable”

Zulm is Hum TV’s popular prime time drama serial. The drama is written By Rehana Aftab, it has been directed By Ilyas Kashmiri. It is a Momina Duraid productions’ presentation. The ensemble cast includes Raeed Muhammad, Shahzad Sheikh, Sahar Hashmi, Saba Faisal, Aadila Saleem, Hani Taha, Ahmed Rafiq, Aamra Qazi and Tazeen Hussain. Zulekha Bina Yusuf is one of those dramas in this season which many drama watching viewers are eagerly waiting for because this drama has some big names attached to it. Veteran singer Zubeda Khanum has passed away today 19 October 2013. Zubeda Khanum was a famous voice in the early era of Pakistan film industry in 50’s and early 60’s. She sang many popular Urdu and Punjabi songs. In 50’s Madam Noor Jehan, used to sing only if she is acting in the film, so Zubeda Khanum was the first choice voice for musicians. Her songs were mostly pictured on Sabiha Khanum, Sawran Lata, Mussarat Nazir and Neelo. Zubeda Khanum also acted in film ‘Patay Khan’ as second lead heroine opposite actor Zarif in 1955, while Noor Jehan and Aslam Parvez were in main lead. She sang in almost 150 films.

Zubeda Khanum married cameraman Syed Riaz Bukhari. After marriage she left singing in mid 60’s and only used to recite ‘Naats’ in family ‘Milaads’. She only appeared on PTV once for an interview in late 90’s. Her son Syed Faisal Bukhari is also a cameraman and director. He has directed dramas and films. Zubaida Apa was an amazing chef who left the world two years ago but still, her admirers miss her work.

In the loving memory of legendary Zubaida Apa, his son Hussain Tariq has kept a room for his mother.

In his interview, he said that he has a great interest in collecting things from different parts of the world and he has kept his mother’s cupboard, collection of bangles, necklaces like she used to keep.

Hussain Tariq bought this house around 5-6 years back and he has decorated it with the help of his beloved mother. He has collected things from India, Quetta and other places to which he has visited.

Well, in an Instagram post, Hussain Tariq shared, “Decor is an integral part of your personality!! Seldom you like something that is different from your own preference. Our abode is a collection of stuff picked up from various trips abroad and within Pakistan apso…and also a reflection of taste and value system that has evolved over the last two decades.”

Earlier this week on 4th of January 2018 the legendary queen of spices renowned as Zubaida Apa breathed her last in Karachi, she was not only celebrated as a master chef but she was also a household name given her expertise in all household matters commonly compiled and known as ‘Zubaida Apa Ke Totkay’.

Many showbiz personalities, especially female stars who considered Zubaida Apa an important stronghold for Pakistani women, expressed their condolences on the occasion of her demise.

Stage, TV and film artist Shiba Butt stated,

“Not only did we learn how to cook from Zubaida Apa but we also learnt how to dress. I was always impressed by her dressing sense and her evergreen beauty,”

She continued,

“She came from a well-educated family and was a really intelligent lady. I met her in Karachi and was very fascinated! Apa ran a restaurant in Clifton which is always full of various artists, fans and food lovers due to their adoration for her as a chef and showbiz personality. Her death is a big loss for all of us.”

Singer Humera Arshad expressed,

“Zubaida Apa was a celebrity for the general public, especially the female population in Pakistan. Most have known of her since their childhood days and many have learnt to cook from her. Due to her personality, she was very popular. She started her TV career in her 50s and continued working until her 70s,” 

She continued,

“I wish I had kept a journal of her totkay so I could use them to recreate the delicious food. Her death came as a very unpleasant surprise to many, including me.”

Renowned actor Meera went on to express her admiration for the cooking expert too.

“Everyone loved Zubaida Apa. Although there have been many other TV personalities and cooking shows and we have new talent within the industry, no one can be like her.”

The actor added,

“Apa was a beautiful soul and a very good human being. Everyone sort of considered her their family member and paid a lot of attention to her totkay. It is a real shame that she has left us. But this is life and I understand that everyone has to leave one day. I pray for her and will miss her forever.”

Mahira Khan also took to her twitter and said, “Known her since I was a little girl, she was all heart always, Rest In Peace Zubaida Khala.”

After that, she had the worst pain which was not settling down, so, we took her at Agha Khan Hospital, they told that she already had two heart attacks. She even started doing the shows after those two heart attacks but her shows were cut down because she was losing weight and wasn’t keeping up well, this thing hit her because she was fond of interacting with fans. Fans used to do calls at home. Even, people urged her to have a UAN number which she refused because she didn’t want to earn money through her passion”. Talking further about the last moments of Zubaida Aapa, her daughter said, “One night, she had the last heart attack, she was screaming with pain, we admitted her in hospital at 11 o clock, at 11:21 she closed her eyes, I came outside and started thinking about my routine etc when Hussain came to me, he said, “they were shifting her to the ventilator, but we refused. Also, there was no scene of the ventilator, in her case. She passed away at 11:21. We took her at home, I sat beside her the whole night. I bathed her, I did everything myself. She was in pain during her last moments as there was a frown on her forehead”.

Stunning and gorgeous Zubab Rana recently modeled for a photoshoot. Zubab wore the extremely bewitching signature bridal attire by Waqar Asghar. Waqar Asghar is an Islamabad-based designer known for his uniqueness and the regalness of his dresses is admired by everyone.

This photoshoot was for the Jugnu Salon. Zubab’s makeup and hairstyle were done by Jugnu Salon which is a famous Rawalpindi and Islamabad-based salon. And they actually did magic on their muse.
