The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA)  have shown signs of improvement in just one year’s time, though there are still many challenges to overcome and more new heights to achieve.

Pakistani actress Saman Ansari travelled through PIA and she faced some trouble. Saman Ansari took to Instagram and requested higher authorities to allow extra baggage.

In a video message, she said, “I am at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi on the way to Bahawalpur for my new shoot. I have a complaint from Pakistan International Airlines that in domestic travel they allow just 20 kgs which is unrealistic.”

She requested higher authorities and said, “If somebody is going for two months then it is impossible that the baggage weight is 20 kgs. I have paid excess baggage fee and I request to senior management of PIA to be a little more realistic. Other airlines allow 30-32 kgs and be a little more competitive because we want to support our Pakistan International Airlines.”

However when we try to use our fame to do some good, it is unfairly being labeled as “cheap publicity stunt”. When celebrities flaunt their wardrobes, their cars, their dogs or their homes, it’s trendy, tasteful, cute and stylish….But when they try to do something good, so others can follow suit or join their drive, it’s suddenly… cheap publicity,” said Mani in his video.

“In this lockdown when we saw the plight of the starving daily wage worker, Hira and I started a small donation drive at our place with the funds we had and put it up on Instagram….we got a backlash, we just couldn’t understand,” he stated further.

“We put up pictures on Instagram so whoever knew anyone deserving could contact us and refer that needy family. However, after a week we started running out of funds and appealed to others to join in. We also encouraged fans to start similar donations in their areas because our reach was limited.Pretty soon brands started contacting us and donating food supplies. However, we kept getting negative feedback from social media,” added Mani.

“Why is my question? We didn’t put up pictures with the people who we were donating to, we didn’t show queues of deserving white-collar workers at our place. We don’t even go down to meet the people who come to our doorstep, so we don’t embarrass them and they don’t feel that we are doing it for publicity. And yet…we are disliked for it. And yet….. We continue with our mission. Here’s the quote that keeps us going and will keep all those who are helping the ones in need, to keep at it no matter what,” said the actor with complete resolve.

Lately, Salman Saeed made an appearance in FHM’S podcast, hosted by Adnan Faisal. In the podcast he talked about getting a chance in the industry randomly and his brother’s role in his career.

Talking about getting a chance in the drama serial, Humayun Saeed said, “I was randomly given a chance by a writer, my first project wasn’t offered to me by my brother Humayun Saeed. Had I been given a chance by my brother; I would have been properly launched like other people. I was just casually offered a role by the writer, and I accepted. I was depressed, left my job, and started acting”.

Talking about Humayun Saeed as a producer and critic, he said, “He is never on the sets when we shoot but even he joins the set, I won’t feel any difficulty in acting. He doesn’t give too many tips but he just advises me to stay fit. He is my biggest critic. He often says don’t try to be like me because I have made my name, I can run in the industry the way I am but you should be fit. He sometimes says to me, ‘don’t try to copy my acting’, I think the people who know him very well tell me that I look like him and they say to him that I try to copy him but it’s quite natural for me to look like him because we are brothers”.

Talking about facing struggles as an actor, he said, “Struggle never ends in any profession. People think that he or she is very successful but they don’t know the struggles behind it, I am not that successful but even the A grade actors text to producers for work. People think that I don’t text anyone for the work. I often go to other producers for auditions and they say you are the producer’s brother, why do you need the work but the thing is that I am a freelance actor. I also text the producers for work, I won’t probably bribe them or take them to the dinners but I will directly talk about work. I sometimes text to my brother for work, I ask for work as an actor”.

The release of Salman Khan’s Tubelight in Pakistan has been a matter great debate. However, according to reports, Tubelight’s director Kabir Khan has hinted that the flick may be released in Pakistan at a later date.

In a press conference in Dubai, director Kabir Khan said, “I don’t think one should react or respond to hearsay, we have not been told by any Pakistani producers or anyone from Pakistan about our film. Yes, I have heard there have been murmurs about our film essentially so that may be some producers feel they have a better chance at the box office without a film over there. But if they feel some of their films have to be nurtured more, we can come there later as well. At the end we feel that our film should be enjoyed and consumed by people in Pakistan because they are great fans of Salman Khan. More than the box office, we have got a lot of love from them for Bajrangi Bhaijaan. We hope to do the same with Tubelight this time.”

In order to protect the business of local films in Pakistan, directors and producers are rumored to have been trying to stall the release of Tubelight. Therefore, the film might release after Eid! Salman Khan’s “Tubelight” is also Bollywood’s first film ever to have its personal character emoji.

Salman Khan’s latest movie that revolves around the 1962 Sino-Indian war will be releasing on Eid ul Fitar all over the globe. Pakistan, however, has shown reluctance in this regard and the cinemas are set to show Yalgaar , a much-awaited Pakistani movie instead.

Salman Khan, disappointed with the least attention given by Pakistani supporters who have always loved his work , especially Bajrangi Bhai Jann, said that both countries should preach peace and should not let the boundaries affect it.

Pakistan’s alignment with China in the Sino-Indian war is why we are not so excited to watch Tubelight, specially on Eid ul fitar and with movies like Yalgar and Shor Sharaba releasing on Eid, Tubelight will definitely be not preferred over them. The movie will now be released after Eid in Pakistan.
