For those who are loving Sanam Saeed and Adnan Malik’s chemistry in Dil Banjara are in for a surprise because these two are set to be seen together on silver screen in ‘Cake’. Joining the cast of this upcoming mega venture is Aamina Sheikh.
‘Cake’ will mark Adnan Malik’s debut in Pakistani cinema, while Sanam Saeed and Aamina Sheikh have already proved their mettle with various interesting roles.
It will be Asim Abbasi’s directional debut and has already completed its first spell in Karachi, with a spell in interior Sindh, and London left for the upcoming months.
At a press meet for ‘Cake’, Sanam Saeed revealed that “Although, it’s too early for the story to be revealed, it’s like the layers of life and has a very current feel to it,” revealed Aamina Sheikh. “It’s about coming of age and I feel people of all ages can relate to it.”
Talking about his role and debut in a feature film, Adnan Malik feels that his character is a completely different avatar than what one has seen in the past.
“It’s a fun story and my character is quite different than what you think it would be. I wanted to work with like-minded people and loved this script from the start. I actually shed tears just after reading it,” Adnan revealed.
The director and the cast are aiming for an end of year release but nothing is confirmed yet.
Sanam Saeed and Mohib Mirza are both very talented actors and they both got married some time back. People wished them love as they both have found love for the second time. Mohib is a great actor as well as a director while Sanam is known for being choosy with the scripts she does and how she never compromises on the quality of her work.

“Promotions are insane! It’s the toughest part about making a movie for us actors at least.”says Sanam.

From morning shows to radio interviews, bloggers meet ups, media junkets, mall visitors, cinema visits, fashion show walks, magazine shoots, college visits; the list goes on. It’s a universal trend now. Audience interaction and participation plays a huge role in film promotions. Hollywood and Bollywood mega stars are having to do it too now. With the birth of social media, a film gets left behind if the actors don’t go and present their film and energy to the public.So for four weeks straight, life is committed to promoting the film across Pakistan. From next week, closer to the release date, we will be travelling all over Pakistan — Multan, Sialkot, Islamabad, Lahore, Faisalabad, etc. Then Dubai and the US and UK for the international premieres.”

“The entire cast had met each other before or worked together. Hareem and I were in Diyar-e-Dil, Tooba and I had worked as models for about a decade and Adeel and I did Mehreen’s other projects together. Shaz Khan and I, it turned out, went to school together in third grade. And Ali is someone it doesn’t take long to make friends with! We were all in New York together and it was a lot of fun. The girls were living together, working together, unwinding together. We all bonded really well and got along like a house on fire.” she added.

The woman named Asma filed a case against her husband who had beaten and humiliated her as well as shaved her head for not dancing in front of his friends. She has just wowed everyone with her Cannes Film Festival Debut. The actress sat down with Something Haute and she was counting her blessings as she credited her baby son for these achievements.
Sanam had a blast this year. She first appeared as an Umera Ahmed heroine in the drama Kafeel. The show went on to become a massive hit and the actress has not looked back since. She was being appreciated for showing Zeba’s journey authentically. Then she made a very successful Cannes Film Festival Debut where she spoke about and represented Pakistan.
Sanam Saeed said that this all happened after her son Vali was born. She credited her little one as she added that children do bring blessings in your life and Vali has brought so much good luck with him which she has been experiencing this year.

Recently, Sanam Saeed appeared in Star & Style season 5, hosted by Asim Yar Tiwana. In the show, Sanam Saeed opened up about trolling.
Replying to the host’s question, “Did you ever face trolling because people are so mean?” Sanam Saeed said that she has thankfully faced very little trolling on social media throughout her career. She added that even when people did comment, the most they could say was “Khoji/Koji.” Asim Yar Tiwana explained that “Khoji” means detective, while “Koji” is used to refer to someone who is not traditionally considered beautiful. Responding to this, Sanam Saeed said, “Okay, so the worst they called me was ‘Koji,’ but then they are not really trolling me—they are commenting on the Creator, because Allah made me the way I am.”
Asim Yar Tiwana further added that in Pakistan, fair complexion and certain features are often considered the standard of beauty, whereas globally wheatish complexion is widely appreciated. Sanam Saeed then mentioned, “I have a classic Pakistani face. A lot of people I meet give me references of Pakistani girls I resemble with”
Sanam Saeed is an actress who always gives her honest opinions and she shares her thoughts about the world, societal issues and the work she signs up for. Sanam Saeed went through a divorce which was amicable and she later on married actor Mohib Mirza. Mohib was also a divorcee when they found solace in each other’s company and they later got married in a simple ceremony.
Sanam Saeed was a guest on Fuchsia magazine and she spoke about getting married at a mature age. Generally in our society, 35 means the end of the world and you cannot find love and companionship after that. Sanam said that Samina Ahmed and Manzar Sehbai are a great example that love is possible at any age. She also said that if you are a young divorcee then do look for love and companionship again and you can still find your happiness.
She said that though you are more mature and know what you want from life, second chance at love is always possible and that is something she and Mohib did as well.
