Minal Khan has gained a lot of popularity over the years. After her twin celebrity sister Aiman Khan’s wedding, her career took off more than ever before. In her personal life, Minal Khan was also lucky enough to find her soulmate at a young age. Just like her sister, Minal Khan was open about her relationship with her then-boyfriend Ahsan Mohsin Ikram. Ahsan Mohsin and Minal Khan both have also faced a lot of criticism for showing affection openly more than once. Unlike her sister, Minal Khan is not scared of being controversial. Therefore, even with all the criticism, Minal Khan does what she wants to and often tells her critics off.
Minal Khan’s wedding festivities started on 7th September 2021 with a dholki function, before that there was a rather moderate bridal shower as well. Minal and Ahsan both have been quite generous while sharing details about their future plans right from the start. They shared the wedding cards and now the pictures, as well as the videos of their functions, are easily available for everyone to see. Unlike many other celebrities who opted for rather simple weddings due to COVID restrictions, Minal Khan made sure that her wedding festivities were as grand as she had always imagined they would be. In fact, she posted that she never imagined her wedding day would be as fantastic as it has been.

Minal Khan Dholki and Mayun Make-up
Like many other brides nowadays, Minal Khan sported a glamorous and glowy make-up look on both these functions. Gone are the days when brides waited for the baraat day to get professional make-up done. Minal Khan was seen in her signature make-up look on her dholki. Her eye make-up was shimmery and she was seen sporting heavy eye-lashes, the lipstick shade went well with her outfit. Her hairstyle did not compliment her features as much as because of the unnecessary height on top. Her hair was tied in a messy ponytail which wasn’t the best hairdo for a dholki function and did not sync in with her overall look. She also carried the big festive earrings trend. Well-known make-up artist Syed Zubair from Sabs did Minal Khan’s make-up for the occasion.
For her Mayun Minal Khan sported a more traditional look and her overall make-up look was more like the one Aiman Khan is often seen sporting. She got this make-up done from Syed Zubair too, she clearly trusts him a lot and might be getting all her wedding looks done from him. It was actually difficult to tell the two sisters apart in this particular make-up look. The contouring was on point and there was heavy highlighting on her face which looked good on her. Her hair was parted from the middle and just like on her dholki decorative pins were used to make the hairstyle appear more festive.
Minal Khan Dholki and Mayun Dresses
Minal Khan decided to wear an orange dress designed by Maya Ali clothing brand Maya Pret-a-Porter. It was a short shirt with a sharara, the color combination was nothing exceptional and pretty basic. The organza dupatta was also orange with gold dabka and embellishments in gold. The color was pretty and Minal Khan carried it well. It was an instant hit with the girls and everyone wanted to know where they could get this dress from.
For her Mayun also Minal Khan wore a color combination which is considered the standard for mehndi brides. She was seen wearing a yellow short shirt with a gharara, there was a hint of green color in the dress as well. This was a special dress for her since it was designed by her brother for their own brand Aiman Minal Closet. Minal Khan did not opt for outfits on both these occasions which were too grand or festive. She relied more on make-up and styling than on festive dresses. Also, her jewelry choice was such that very often girls are seen wearing such jewelry. It can be safely stated that Minal Khan perhaps opted for those options in outfits and jewelry which were sponsored! Minal and Aiman both are known for endorsing brands even on their big days and this time around too Minal took the same route. She also took this opportunity to promote a new collection by her own brand.
Dholki and Mayun Events
Minal Khan’s dholki event was organized by Innovative Events. It was apparent that this event was sponsored, Minal Khan made the most of her star power! Given the COVID restrictions, both these functions were held outside. A lot of flowers were used to decorate the venue as is the trend nowadays. Apart from that the use of decorated umbrellas as décor was something different. There were certain areas that were decorated keeping in mind the demands of photography. The event planners also made the most of lighting to give this décor an extra oomph. Overall, even though the area and the gathering were limited, the décor was impressive.
The Mayun event was managed and organized by The Event Planet. They focused on the most traditional décor for this event unlike the dholki which had a different feel to it. The end result however looked great.
The Criticism
When you are in the public eye, the way Minal Khan always has been and now particularly is because of the wedding, criticism naturally comes in! Minal Khan and Ahsan Mohsin Ikram were yet again criticized for going overboard! Minal dance and sang at her wedding; some people were of the opinion that she was going overboard and they did not hold back while sharing their views as soon as these videos went viral.
Then there was also this short clip where Ahsan kissed Minal on the cheek, this made the public furious as well! Minal Khan enjoyed both these events to the maximum and while there were many people who were happy for her, there were many more who thought that she needed to tone it down a bit! So far, Minal and Ahsan both have completely ignored this criticism and continue to enjoy their big moment together.
