The Muslims of Burma are suffering through an ordeal which has scared Muslims all over the world. Children are being massacred and women are being abused while the heads of Muslim states are watching silently. Pakistanis have come out in support of their Muslim brethren and have recorded their protests in different cities of Pakistan. Hamza Ali Abbasi joined a protest organized by the locals while Iqrar ul Hassan is in Burma to show the world what really is happening there. Two more celebrities have stepped forward to go and help the Rohingya Muslims in Burma and they are Waqar Zaka and Amir Liaquat. People may say a lot of things to these celebs but this is an exemplary step from their side which all the people who are in the power should support. They shared a picture from airport before leaving for Burma:
May Allah bless the Rohingya Muslims and may more people come forward to their help!
Ducky Bhai is one of Pakistan’s most prominent YouTubers with 9.1 million subscribers. In August 2025, he was arrested by the FIA at the airport just as he was departing for an event in Malaysia with his wife. He remained in the jail for three months, during which he was forced to pay large sums in extortion to an FIA officer who was later suspended. Although he was released on bail at the end of November, Ducky Bhai initially avoided public statements and has now taken the legal route to pursue justice.
Yesterday, Ducky Bhai uploaded a vlog in which he shared all the details of his arrest and the physical torture that was inflicted on him. He revealed each detail of how the torture was done and stated that the main focus of the FIA was to extract a hefty amount from his Binance accounts and extortion money from his wife. He was eventually released with the help of an unknown influential person. His vlog garnered more than 7 million views, and multiple celebrities raised their voices in his support after hearing about the torture he was gone through.
Mishi Khan supported Saad Ur Rehman, aka, Ducky Bhai, she also called out the FIA inspector after hearing about heinous details regarding his physical torture. Here is the link to the video:
Pakistani celebrities are also observing the growing jingoism from the Indian side. What went down that a terrorist attack took place in the Pahalgam area of IIOJK resulting in a loss of 26 lives. The Indian side as always did not go for investigation or actually holding the perpetrators responsible. They were seen blaming Pakistan without any evidence. Artists were banned, Indus Water Treaty suspended, ambassadors were called back and the Wagah-Attari border was sealed.
Indian media is once again propagating jingoism and people on social media are also threatening Pakistan with a war. Pakistanis are as usual choosing memes as their weapons. Many Indian celebrities are also supporting extremist views and Pakistani celebrities are also now coming out and sharing what they think.
Shamoon Abbasi and Yasir Nawaz are stars who took to Instagram and called out Indian jingoism. Farhan Saeed and Umair Jaswal called Indian propaganda cringe.
Shamoon Abbasi said that he condoles for the lost lives but what is wrong is how the Indian media is doing so much fake propaganda without proper research. He took his time and understood the whole situation before commenting while the Indian media is simply propagating jingosim. Yasir Nawaz also shared a video and said “What do Indians think? Are we wearing bangles?” If you are a nuclear power then we are also a nuclear power. And political differences aside, we all stand for our country.
As an aftermath of the black man, George Floyd’s killing in Minnesota, and protests taking over the entire USA, social media went out and protested with #BlackoutTuesday, a day that was promoted by activists to observe, mourn and demand a change of policy. The movement spread on social media like wildfire and alongside the entire world, Pakistani celebrities too posted solemn messages featuring stark black backgrounds, tagging the posts #BlackLivesMatter.
Here’s who posted what during the Blackout Tuesday, standing for George Floyd and the community.

ALL Muslim-Americans who are of voting age, must make sure that we inform , organise & take action. #BlackLivesMatter Nov 3 show your strength & make your voice heard. This is a matter of life & death.
Former PTI leader and famous TV host Aamir Liaquat and Dania Shah have been making rounds on social media ever since Dania Shah filled divorce against Aamir Liaquat. Dania Shah made some shocking allegations against Aamir Liaquat and mentioned that four months of her marriage with Aamir was no less than a torture. In response, Aamir Liaquat denied all the allegations against him and tried to expose truth about Dania through different pictures, audios and videos.
As the issue has been making rounds on social media since last few days, some of the famous Pakistani celebrities including Ahmad Ali Butt, Syed Jibran, Mathira taking to their social media accounts, stood forward and shared their stance on Aamir Liaquat and Dania Shah’s recent controversy.
Pakistan is one of the most charitable nations in the world. No matter what calamity befalls, Pakistanis always come to the forefront to help others. In the light of Covid-19, a lot of celebrities and media personnels have started taking matters in their hands by helping those around them who in these difficult times are finding it hard to stay afloat. There are a lot of celebrities who have started charity and are openly asking for donations. Everything they are doing is being posted on the social media because they believe in transparency and want to make sure that the donors know their contribution amounts are being used for the right cause.
As much as these charities started by celebrities are being appreciated all across the country, there are also some celebrities who are not being appreciative towards the approach. They are nowhere doubting the intentions of those who are trying their best to help the people, but these celebrities are concerned about the people who are being brought into the limelight while taking the donations. These celebrities believe that everything can and should be done stealthily because this way, it won’t affect the self-esteem of those who already must be feeling embarrassed for taking aid from others.
The internet, like all the other subjects is also divided on this subject where those who are publicly doing charity are being lauded, there are also those people who are definitely agreeing to the notion that charity should not be publicized.
These are the Pakistani celebrities who have spoken against publicized charity happening during Covid-19 lockdown:
Faysal Qureshi
Faysal Qureshi was very clear in putting his stance across. He has no issues with the charities that are being done but he most certainly has an issue with the way pictures and videos are being made viral when the ration bags are being handed out to the poor and needy. Faysal Qureshi feels a lot for those who are taking help at this time and he feels their self-esteem is very important and shouldn’t be compromised upon for the sake of posting a few pictures on social media.
After Faysal Qureshi posted this tweet, ace Pakistani cricketer Mohammad Amir also agreed to his opinion and prayed that people understood what Faysal was trying to say.
Actress Zarnish Khan didn’t have much to say because Faysal Qureshi made his point clear but she couldn’t help but say that she agreed as well.
Vasay Chaudhry
Writer and actor Vasay Chaudhry also took it to his twitter to share his two cents about the current charities happening all over and being posted on social media. He also requested but also felt the need to remind that the charity should be done in its stride and not with an intention of creating content to be shared and posted on social media.
Amanat Ali
Singer Amanat Ali took it to his Instagram to speak about how he was unsure of why everything the celebrities did was done in front of cameras, be it their professional work or now as the people are getting to see; their charities. Amanat Ali quoted Hazrat Ali (RA) and spoke about how it was emphasized in one of His sayings that while doing charity, one should not even look into the eye of the recipient. It goes to show how much compassion and humility should be practiced while doing such gestures, this is why Amanat Ali was unsure of the approach he was coming across.
His post started a respectful debate where people agreed and disagreed but Amanat Ali engaged with everyone to make his stance clear and make valid points. He also spoke about how one’s intention mattered the most because in the end it was Allah who was going to judge and therefore charity could also be done without attaining people’s attention.
Anoushay Ashraf
Under Amanat Ali’s post, Anoushay Ashraf also replied and spoke about the power of social media. Anoushay Ashraf had a valid point where she spoke about how the right usage of social media was helping people approach them for the donations, however she also spoke about the importance of keeping the identities of the recipients discreet. She did feel that the entire display of poor and needy and bringing them to the limelight by posting their pictures was ignorance at its peak.
Yasir Hussain
Actor and host Yasir Hussain also took it to his Instastories to speak about how wrong the approach of people were when it came to doing charities. He felt disgusted at the idea of how people were making sure to fit in the frame only to prove that they have done charity. He also continued to make a stark comparison between Muslims and non-Muslims where the pictures clearly showed non-Muslims being discreet and just hanging the ration bags on the fence so that the passersby could pick them without even knowing who was behind this thoughtful gesture.
Shoaib Jatt
Sports journalist Shoaib Jatt took it to his twitter to speak about the heartfelt efforts of test cricketer Shabbir Ahmed. Shoaib Jatt shed a light on how Shabbir Ahmed was doing everything in his might to help the people in a small town of Khanewal. He spoke about the tight schedule Shabbir Ahmed was following where he wakes up at 3AM and starts his day early to help as many people as he could. He wanted to bring it to everyone’s attention so that if others wanted to contribute, they could, while highlighting the fact that he was doing all of this without making any noise on the social media because he was being compassionate towards those who are being helped.
Shoaib Jatt’s tweet highlighted exactly what Anoushay Ashraf’s point was regarding social media being used rightly to highlight the important aspects while still maintaining a healthy balance and discretion.
Do you agree with the stance of these celebrities who feel the charities should not be publicized and even if celebrities are doing so, they should be compassionate towards the recipients of their donations? What do you think about the part that social media is playing during these times? Feel free to share your opinion in the comment section below.

Petrol prices have come to shock the nation like 8.0 magnitude earthquake. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was seen saying that he will not increase the prices and the government will absorb the shock of supply chain restriction earlier. The petrol pries were already at an all time high and now another bomb has been dropped by the government despite assurances.
Pakistani government has hiked the petrol and diesel prices overnight to an all time high. The petrol per liter stands at 458 PKR while diesel is at 570 PKR. The nation is in shock while the economy is about to crash. Everything has become costly and middle class is shrinking to dangerous levels in the country.
Pakistani celebrities have also felt this shock as they are calling out such a huge increase in the oil prices. Omair Rana, Mishi Khan, Abu Aleeha and Khaled Anam are stars who are raising their voices against price hikes.
Khaled Anam said, “Fill karao is a line which will never be used for care tanks anymore.” Omair Rana shared satire that government could have increased 1000 rupees per liter but they only increased a 100. Madiha Rizvi stated that public will never come out for their rights, they will only stand in petrol lines. This is what celebrities think:
This Eid Ul Fitr, five big Pakistani films have been released, all the films had crowd pulling and star studded cast, fans were going to theaters and supporting the local cinema on Eid Day. Fans supported artists but they were also giving their genuine public opinion that filmmakers need to up the game in order to survive. On, 6th May Marvel Movie, Dr Strange has been released which destroyed the local market. However, Pakistani filmmakers have a lot of reservations with the release of movie and many main stream actors including Dananeer Mobeen, Arsalan Naseer, Farhan Saeed, Adnan Siddiqui, Kinza Hashmi, Bilal Qureshi & Hareem Farooq spoke against Dr strange.
Lately, Dr Strange has snatched the film market and ousted Pakistani content. Amidst this situation, there are two schools of thought, one says to delay foreign movies as support to Pakistani content, the other school says that it is a high time Pakistani film makers need to create thoughtful content. Humaima Malick said to producers that cinema isn’t their TV channel where their Monopoly will work, she gave a reality check and urged industry to produce good content. Likewise, Mansha Pasha said that nobody will buy an expensive ticket for the content that has been made currently. Zahid Ahmed also said that good content will pull the audience, no matter how excellent a foreign movie is.
Public lauded all the three celebrities and said that finally some people have spoken the truth. They also said that the producers need to accept it, after watching Dr Strange, public is of the view that finally they have seen something worth their money. They are criticizing Pakistani content too and saying that local filmmakers are producing cringe-worthy content and foreign movies destroying local cinema is a biggest proof of it. Here are comments.
Following how Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide, there has been an uproar in the industry across the border. Sushant was deemed as a lively person but as reports suggest, he had been depressed for sometime now.
Sushant’s death has now sparked a debate in Pakistan as well. However, it is a good thing to see our celebrities taking an initiative and calling out to everyone who needs help with depression or anxiety.
A number of Pakistani celebrities have lent support openly, asking anyone who needs help to reach out to them, also addressing mental health and depression, that ought not to be taken lightly.
Here’s what our celebs have been saying;
Numbed to read #SushantSinghRajput has commited suicide, to know he was fighting inner battles & while fighting lost his life has shaken me to the core.We don’t know how many around us are going through depression,O’ Allah grant us the power to see that in ppl before losing them
Depression isn’t a straightforward response to a bad situation depression is just like the weather. Try to understand the blackness, lethargy, hopelessness, and loneliness they’re going through. Be there for them when they come through the other side.

Not only this, she invited Talha Anjum to her show and held him accountable for an act that hurt the sentiments of the majority of the Pakistani nation. Talha Anjum, on the other hand, admitted his mistake and apologized. Social media users praised Nadia Khan, while Talha’s fans and friends defended him.
Recently, Yasir Hussain, Sonya Hussyn and Musadek Malek, who are renowned Pakistani celebrities, have posted in support of Talha Anjum. They openly slammed Nadia Khan as well. Yasir Hussain called her Arnab Goswami, and Musadek Malek referred to her as Pissu.

She also called out his sympathatuc attitude with India during the conflict, and his tweet on Pahalgam with an Indian flag. Nadia Khan said, “Have you forgotten the conflict when they imposed a war on us and were killing our soldiers? Why did you raise their flag? We are Pakistani before Artists and musician.” Talha Anjum said that he is a proud Pakistani artist who did what Indians can’t do because if they would have done the same, they would immediately receive death threats from their politicians. Celebrities have been on the receiving end of online harassment and bullying, with details of their private lives being made public and assumptions circulated in order to humiliate them, for years. The most recent actor to get caught up in a web of trolls was Hania Aamir, with the barrage of hate spiraling into a very public spat between her and ex Asim Azhar.
In a surprising and honestly quite unnecessary turn of events, singer Asim Azhar took this opportunity to post a cryptic tweet on social media. People were quick to figure out that the gif was a jab at ex Hania Aamir who was on the receiving end of a lot of hate. Replying to Asim Azhar Hania said “You can either be a celebrity, or a bitter ex with no dignity.” This did not sit well with Asim who has never publicly spoken about their relationship and breakup, despite being on the receiving end of mocking jokes and jabs. In a retaliatory message, Asim was quick to remind Hania of the time he was on the receiving end of trolling after their breakup.
After all this current scenario, many of the Pakistani celebrities were spotted supporting Asim Azhar in different ways. Check it out!
