“The thought first came to me in 2000,” he shared in a video on his official Instagram account. “I always wanted to run the madrassa without using zakat money. But I couldn’t find enough resources for it. So, when the pandemic happened, the Almighty put this thought in my head to start a business and use that money to run the Islamic institutions. That was my intention and a few of my friends collaborated with me. Hence, we launched a brand with my name,” the cleric further added.
“I don’t understand where this idea of clerics running such businesses isn’t righteous came from, even though a lot of religious personalities we follow have been successful businessmen.” Triq Jamil further shared the intention of launching a clothing brand isn’t for competitiveness or for profit but for flourishing the madrassas.

The Legend of Maula Jatt is going to be huge. Yes, we know that already since Bilal Lashari announced it a few years ago after his critically acclaimed Waar. Moreover, the cast of the film is to die for. Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan are uniting on screen while Hamza Ali Abbasi and Humaima Malik will be there to make the experience even more insane. The title of the film was finally annunced along with its release date that yes, it is finally coming to theatres on Eid ul Fitr 2019.

Bilal Lashari announced a long time back that he was going to remake Maula Jatt but this remake of the Punjabi films hero will be entirely different from the original hero. “It’s a gamble but it’s not a remake… It’s a new interpretation of the gandasa genre, which is why it was very important to reinvent characters. There’s no point in imitating Sultan Rahi. There has to be a completely new identity.”
Now that the cast is final we can have a fair idea that Maula Jatt will for sure be something new. Fawad Khan will be playing the role of Maula Jatt and Hamza Ali Abbasi will be playing the role of Noori Nath. While talking to Express Tribune Bilal Lashari said,
“Our Punjabi hero has always roamed around Chaati phula kay, aasstenain charha kay (with his chest puffed, sleeves folded) and that has become our style. And I felt that we were trying too hard to make a hero.”
The film has a big budget. In one of his previous interviews Bilal Lashari said,
“Gandasa genre was a missed opportunity for Pakistani cinema, and what better choice to utilise it then by paying homage to the cult classic Maula Jatt.”
Bilal Lashari also added in his recent interview,
“It has to be a lot more than just physical exaggeration and that is why Fawad as Maula Jatt and Hamza as Noori Nath will come as an amazing shocker for the audience.”
Talking about that side of Fawad Khan’s personality which not too many people know about Bilal Lashari said,
“People may have gotten a glimpse of his other side in EP (Enitity Paradigm) or a small cameo he made for Mekaal Hassan Band video that I directed. But I always knew kay yeh tau bara wehsi aadmi hai (he’s wild) and I am surprised that no one has ever explored him that way.”
This film will naturally cater to a completely different class of people and not the ones who went to watch Maula Jatt when it was originally screened in cinemas.

According to Hip, Ammara Hikmat, who is handling the movies PR confirmed them that the shooting has officially begun. Another thing she disclosed was that Maula Jatt 2 is not the official name of the movie.
Bilal Lashari clarified it on Facebook.
We already know that the film is a reboot of Maula Jatt and will be reinventing the whole Gundasa culture but what make’s it even more interesting is that it will be in Punjabi since the original was also in Punjabi.
Fawad Khan and Hamza Ali Abbasi are already geared up for their film and Fawad’s new beef look has been creating buzz since past few days.
The film is directed and written by Bilal Lashari, co-produced by Faisal Rafi and Bilal Lashari under production banner of Crew Motion Pictures; it is expected to release in late 2017 or early 2018. Since Maula Jatt 2 is not the official name we wonder what is!
Maula Jatt 2 is in news ever since it has been announced. It is going to be Waar fame director Bilal Lashari’s second outing as a filmmaker and it’s huge star cast makes us look forward to the film. The film will also mark Fawad and Mahira’s return as a romantic pair after Humsafar which proved to be a milestone in their career. It also stars Humaima Malik and Hamza Abbasi. Although, it seems to be a big film but one more big thing that can be associated with it is the controversy of copyrights infringement.
While the film has seen multiple delays and was announced long back, according to the team it will finally see the light of day on Eid ul Fitr 2019. I hope they do not delay it any further. Sometime ago director Bilal Lashari had shared that neither is it a sequel to Maula Jatt nor is it a remake. He also said that it is not even named Maula Jatt 2 at all. We wondered what else was it then?
Apparently, the producer of the original Maula Jatt has taken a stay order to stop Maula Jatt’s release as the film is his intellectual property. He said, “Had they seeked my permission, I would have considered giving them rights but they didn’t and it has disappointed him. He continued that the case would be fought legally as they have all the certificates and documents.
We can only hope that it might get released in time and everything is sorted before its release.

Seems like Veena’s reign as the Desi Pakistani controversy queen in India is about to reach its end. Model-turned-VJ Mathira will now be giving her a tough time in India with her Bollywood movie “Akki Te Vikki Te Nikki”. The film is directed by Vipin Sharma, the critically admired actor, known for his character of a strict father in Taare Zameen Par.
According to Absolute India, in which Mathira has been dubbed as the “Sunny Leone of Pakistan”, Bohra was “stunned” by Mathira’s talent. He told the newspaper:
“Yes, Mathira is making her debut in our film. We go on the floors from November 3 and Mathira will be joining us on November 5. A friend of mine from Dubai sent me her pictures and I was stunned. I showed the pictures to my director [Sharma], who suggested that we audition her. She was super in the audition. We are excited to launch her”.
This particular video which is part of the live Morning Show is by far the sickest thing that any of us has watched on television this Ramazan. First of all there was no reason at all to invite a person like Mathira to a Ramazan special Morning Show and if she was invited the host could have made sure that no controversial topics were discussed in the show in order to show respect to this month. Not only this, a Morning Show is a family show or a show which usually women watch. No one wants to see Mathira discussing her condom advertisement and all the other cheap stuff on the show.
As if Mathira’s vulgar acts and the vulgar topic of discussion were not repulsive enough, Maani added in a very crude way, “Aap ne Mathira kobula ke lakhon caroron Muslamanon ke eman ka test liya hai”. Not only this, he also said “Roza nahi rakhta kyunke rozay ka taaluqeman se hai aur mera eman buhat mazboot hai”. So, basically these people were seen openly making fun of Ramazan in a Ramazan show. Not only this, we see Mathira giving women tips on how to seduce their husbands on a family channel and a family show and most importantly on a Ramazan special show in which the women have their heads covered but they show just how dirty minded they are. Wearing a duppata on your head does not mean that you have respect for the Holy month; one must show it by their actions. Maani’s vulgarity was at its peak in the show, I wonder how his wife or any of the family members can bear to see him on screen like this when a decent viewer finds it hard to digest all that they discussed.
It is a shame that our channels promote such disgusting things during the month of Ramazan. It is our duty to condemn such acts so that the people who are running these channels know that such cheap tactics will not get them TRPs but will drive their viewers away. Shame on the Morning Shows organizers who allowed all this to happen, not only this but they clearly facilitated it. For God’s sake stop making fun of religion, if you people cannot do anything to promote good during this Holy month then do not promote vulgarity too. Shame on you Ary, shame on you Nida Yasir, shame on you Maani, shame on you Mathira and most of all shame on all the people who sat there and laughed at those filthy jokes.
