Mahira Khan is indeed the superstar of Pakistan. She enjoys fame not only in Pakistan but also across the borders. Mahira Khan recently during an interview shared her stance on Pakistani actors, working in web series that are been made for an Indian platform.
“Even all these series that are been made, and even if I do the smallest thing for an Indian channel I don’t know what happens there. I actually don’t know how they are okay with all other actors and actresses working in their television shows and their series but not me” said Mahira
“If I want to do something different, it is happening on that side. Even though we are making it but an Indian channel is buying it. But that’s where I find it soo confusing. Sorry, I am taking it somewhere else but I have to say it is so confusing. If we have to make different and brave content or the kind of content that an actor and director wants to make, where we are making it? We are making it for Indian platforms” Mahira added
“And that’s okay because I think Churails was brilliant and Aik Jhooti Love Story was brilliant but I wish we were making it for a platform that was here. This is something we should think about. Our movies cannot be aired and put up over there, but our actors can be on their platforms? So, it doesn’t make sense”
Mahira Khan is a phenomenal Pakistani television and film actress and she’s regarded as a superstar in Pakistan. Fans love her adorable personality and her excellent acting skills, fans adore her presence in films and dramas. Her recent drama “Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay” earned a lot of public and critical acclaim. The actress is making her come back on silver screen (after Covid 19 halt) with her film Quaid E Azam Zindabad.
Currently, Mahira Khan and Fahad Mustafa are doing a lot of promotional shows with different YouTubers and hosts. Her one of the recent podcasts is making headlines because of an unusual reason. The podcast that’s making headlines, is with Mooroo, in which Mahira and Fahad Mustafa are discussing about senior actors. While talking about them Mahira gave example of Nauman Ijaz and praised his acting skills but unfortunately she could not knit her words well. She didn’t even complete a single sentence, and kept on giving confusing statements, however, her praise for Nauman Ijaz and his characterization could easily be assumed after listening to her. She was praising Nauman Ijaz.
Twitter users, after seeing and hearing the clip, started to come up with their displeasure and criticism comments, fans said that Mahira Khan’s interviews are hard to understand as she never utters a complete sentence in one go, many fans posted laughing emojis under her post and wrote, “what do you even want to say”, one fan said, “One of the most difficult interview of her I had to sit through… Girl can’t put her thoughts together in to words.” Another Twitter user said, “Mahira never completes a sentence. She never makes sense yet it’s good listening her speak.”
Here are the exact words which she spoke, “And again age…Nauman Ijaz is I remember he is,he was in what? it’s true, uff and he was just like and even now, look at how he will pick up. That is actually untrue, there are characters”
Mahira Khan has been in the news a lot lately because of her upcoming film Superstar. She has been getting applause from some of the critics for finally coming out of her shell and tons of love from across the border as well. But like they say, you can’t please everyone so it seems that some of Mahira Khan’s younger and older co-stars have things to say about her which basically prove that they want to either see Mahira Khan playing roles which are unlike others, more like reinventing herself or she is someone who is just plain mediocre!
Faysal Qureshi has this special segment on his show in which he shows his guests pictures of certain celebrities and asks them to give advice to these celebrities. The panel in this particular show consisted of young and old actors. Sana Sarfraz, Firdous Jamal, Hamza Firdous and Aadi were guests on the show.
Sana Sarfraz said that while she really looked up to Mahira Khan, she was of the opinion that Mahira Khan didn’t need to do what everyone else was already doing. Hamza Firdous agreed with her and said that after proving her mettle internationally, Mahira Khan is a source of inspiration for many. He also appreciated Mahira Khan’s dance moves in the new songs of her upcoming film Superstar. Faysal Qureshi was quite honest and blunt while sharing his opinion. He said that up until now all of Mahira Khan’s films had been complete flops. He hoped that at least this time around, her film was going to be a hit.
Firdous Jamal’s remarks were more straight forward than others. Firdous Jamal very confidently shared his opinion and said that Mahira Khan didn’t have what it took to be a heroine. He apologized for his bluntness and said that Mahira Khan is a mediocre sort of a model, she is not a good actress. He also said that Mahira Khan was overage and she shouldn’t be playing these roles of heroines at this age. He also suggested that she should start playing the roles of mothers in films. Firdous Jamal is clearly not a fan!
Aadi requested Mahira Khan to like Faysal Qureshi, the way he likes her. In one of the previous shows Faysal Qureshi shared how much he liked Mahira Khan. The most interesting bit is that in the comments section a lot of people agreed with Firdous Jamal. Is Mahira Khan losing her charm?
These comments are surely going to go viral and we are wondering what Mahira Khan’s reply will be.
Mahira Khan is the superstar of Pakistan. She has given many successful dramas and films. Her screen presence is phenomenal and she is great at dancing. The actress has danced in some really good songs in her career. Her latest film Love Guru just dropped and she looks incredible in it. Mahira Khan has been embroiled in fair share of controversies in her career. She has had conflicts with many other people in the industry including two seniors Firdous Jamal and Khalil ur Rehman Qamar. Firdous Jamal made some really undignified and ageist comments about Mahira during a show. He was later on banned from Hum TV due to his comments.
This is what he had said on Faysal Quraishi’s show:
Khalil ur Rehman Qamar was on good terms with Mahira Khan initially. She even worked with him in Sadqay Tumharay, a drama based on his personal life. Later on Khalil ur Rehman Qamar had a fight with Marvi Sarmad on a live show and Mahira criticized him on it which soured the relationship between the two. This is what Mahira had said:
Khalil ur Rehman later on declared Mahira Khan in that character a sin:
Now, on Mazaaq Raat hosted by Vasay Chaudhry, Mahira Khan was asked who she would choose between Khalil ur Rehman Qamar and Firdous Jamal. After thinking for a while she chose Khalil ur Rehman Qamar. She said that she will choose Khalil ur Rehman Qamar over Firdous Jamal any day.
Earlier this month we got to see the first look of Sheheryar Munawar and Mahira Khan starrer 7 Din Mohabbat In which gave a sneak peak on the kind of character Sheheryar is playing in this flick.

He enjoys performing such action-oriented characters.” Fahad Mustafa also commented that he loves performing action roles, but in Pakistan, there is a lack of facilities required for executing them in films. Mahira Khan is the biggest star of Pakistan. She started her career as a VJ and she later transitioned towards acting. She is among a handful of stars who have been successful both on television and in cinemas. She has worked not just in Pakistan but India as well. She made her Bollywood debut with SRK’s Raees and she played the character of Aasiya. The film was released at the wrong time and she was not able to promote the film.
Mahira Khan has always said that she is a big SRK fan and she has never shied away from sharing her love for the Indian superstar. The actress took to her Instagram as it was SRK’s birthday and she once again sent him love and good wishes as she declared herself as the star’s biggest fan.
Mahira Khan said that she is SRK’s No. 1 fan and she will always say that to her favourite Sufi gangsta! This was her wish:
The internet was not happy for Mahira Khan’s admiration for SRK. India and Pakistan went through a stand-off recently and the artists on both sides were also standing with their nations. Mahira Khan was also very vocal for Pakistan. The political tension lingers and Mahira came under criticism for publicly wishing SRK. One person wrote, “Did you get a reply?” Another added, “This looks cringe.” One said, “When will our stars have shame?” This was the reaction:
Latest song of film Raees called ‘O Zalima’ is out and our very own diva Mahira Khan is shining in it. The song is shot in various breath-taking romantic locations which will definitely leave you spell-bound. The chemistry between the Raees leading pair is sensational and Mahira Khan is totally killing it. The romantic melody has left us wanting for more.
The music of the song is composed by Jam8, lyrics are penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya and the singers are Arijit Singh and Harshdeep Kaur. The choreography is done by Bosco-Caesar. Raees is all set to release on January 25, 2017.
The highest paid actress in Pakistan, Mahira Khan is on a roll these days. The lady is riding high on the success of her Bollywood debut Raees and is the most talked celebrity on both sides of the border.
In one of her earlier interview, Mahira revealed that she went into MTV for an internship with her fiance (now ex-husband) and landed a gig as a VJ!
I came in with my fiance who works at MTV to do an internship and one of the VJs left when I joined, so my boss said “You can do it” and then there was no looking back.
“It was a complete accident but I had always harboured a dream to become a movie star.”
And the rest is history, she rose to fame with her performance in Humsafar and became a star overnight.
“Am I really a celebrity? Really I don’t feel like one (maybe because I am a complete social moron).”
Pakistan’s leading humanitarian and social welfare services organisation, the Edhi Foundation is partnering with Coca-Cola for its traditional Ramazan fundraising, without the leadership of, Abdul Sattar Edhi.
The campaign titled “Bottle of Change” will execute across the country and Coca-Cola will double all the donations received during the campaign. With Coca-Cola running a special campaign, Edhi foundation expects a steady stream of donations.
Many popular celebrities have come forward for the cause.
As expected, the hit filmmaker and director duo, Fizza Ali Meerza and Nabeel Qureshi roped in Fahad Mustafa for their next film, Quaid E Azam Zindabad. Fahad Mutafa always happens to be the first choice of Filmwala Pictures. The team has previously worked together on 4 films, each of which left a mark on the box office and of course the Pakistani cinema.
After the massive success of their last film, Load Wedding, this time again, Fahad Mustafa, has been the top choice for Filmwala Pictures’ next cinematic outing, but the female lead is definitely a surprise.
This time, the filmmaker and director duo have really amped their casting game and brought in the super lady, Mahira Khan as the female lead opposite Fahad Mustafa. Seems like Fahad and Mahira are finally coming true on the promise they made to their fans on their Twitter handles once.
The news was officially confirmed by the director and producer themselves and Mahira Khan also took to her Twitter to state how this was finally happening.
“Jeeeee Haaaan!” (Yes), wrote Mahira Khan on her Twitter handle replying to Nabeel Qureshi’s big reveal tweet. Earlier in an interview with BBC Urdu, Mahira Khan had already expressed her desire to work with Fahad Mustafa but how none of them could get to it because of bad timing.
“I have never worked with Fahad Mustafa. I really wanted to work with him but there just wasn’t any time. I can’t even begin to tell you the amount of projects the two of us have been offered together but the timing has never been right,” Mahira Khan had said.
The only time Fahad Mustafa and Mahira Khan were seen on the screen together was in last year Ramzan transmission of Jeeto Pakistan on ARY Digital. The chemistry between the two actors crackled and Mahira Khan dazzled the sets.
Having seen her performing in Superstar and knowing for a fact that Fahad Mustafa is an exceptional actor, one can only hope Quaid E Azam Zindabad to be a major blockbuster. And the fact that its coming from Nabeel Qureshi and Fizza Ali Meerza, we don’t have to hope much, because the duo always delivers.
The recent motorway incident has shocked and scared everyone, from women to children, no one feels safe in Pakistan. Everyone was holding placards to demand justice and safety for others. Here are updates from the protest!
Now Mahira Khan doesn’t need any introduction. But so does Ayeza Khan. Both of them are immensely talented and amazing actresses. While Mahira has represented Pakistan on an international scale, Ayeza has won hearts domestically, pulling crowds to the cinemas, with merely her dramas.
Although Ayeza and Mahira haven’t really worked together in any project, it seems Mahira is a fan of Ayeza. In a recent live interview where Mahira praised Sajal Aly, Mahira also mentioned that she found Ayeza extremely pretty and that had she not been married with Danish Taimoor, she would have married her.
How cute Mahira is expressing her likeness for Ayeza without any bias in her heart.
We absolutely love and appreciate how our actresses have gone above the professional rivalry and now openly talk about each other, lifting each other up and lending appreciation wand credit where its due.
Malala Yousafzai’s name and fame is no stranger to Pakistan. While there are many people in her favour, there are some who debate the appreciation and attention she has received. Yesterday marked her 20th birthday and she has received many messages from people around the globe. One such message that caught our eye was from none other than the reigning queen of our screen, Mahira Khan. In a very sweet message, Mahira has wished the youngest Nobel Prize laureate on her twentieth;
Mahira is a self confessed feminist and she has achieved loads as a woman and as a single mother. Her tweet for Malala was specially nice because it is always great to see women uplifting women from all walks of lives. It empowers us all to stand together and cheer eachother on. Way to go Mahira and Malala !!
Mahira Khan is a gorgeous and very talented Pakistani actor who has been receiving huge fame and accomplishments since the time she joined the media industry. Mahira Khan is an epitome of talent and beauty who is adored by her fans. Her drama Humsafar is considered as the biggest success marker in her career and after that Mahira didn’t look back. Mahira’s acting is loved and praised by her fans.
Lately, the actress is in news for her commendable act. Mahira Khan shuts an Indian extremist troll, the troll came into her comment section and bashed Pakistan and Pakistanis. He said Pakistan a terrorist country.
Mahira Khan said, “Betay, you’re the one focusing on me, now bugger off”
Fans loved her reply, the extremist troller right after her reply deleted his comment, however, a fan posted the tweet in comment section, fans appreciated her reply and said that he has deleted the tweet, which means Mahira has won with her words. A few Indian fans supported her and apologized from his side, have a look at it.
It seems like there’s no stopping Mahira Khan from soaring great heights in the entertainment industry. The actress has already represented Pakistan in a number of events and award functions globally, and last night was no different. She was invited to the Beirut International Awards Festival 2017, held in Lebanon, which she attended looking absolutely breathtaking.
The picture above is her just hours before the festival, at the hotel, signalling at the majestic scenic view outside of it.
And this is her, rocking the red carpet with this gorgeous dress by Nicolas Jebran. Of course, Mahira Khan is famously known to make a statement with her outfits, and yet again she had us all quite impressed.
Doesn’t she look completely stunning? She was also seen mingling with other celebrities attendees who were just as taken by her beauty as we are:
So I guess it shouldn’t be a surprise to know that the diva was honored with two awards last night: ‘International Recognition‘ and ‘Best Dressed’.
The actress was overjoyed and made a humble speech of acceptance saying :
‘This award means a lot to me because we get a lot of love and support back home, but when we get an award from abroad, it seems like our country is getting an award. I love you guys, thank you so much!’
This is her, posing with one of her awards with the late Lebanese President Rafic Hariri in the background. Isn’t she just adorable? And below is a snapshot of her talking to one of the reporters at the event, complimenting on her dress and congratulating on the success of the award.
