Taimoor Jamshed, son of the late singer-turned preacher and host Junaid Jamshed, took on twitter to share a rare picture of the legend Aamir Zakir alongside his father.

In the picture, Zaki can be seen playing the guitar alongside Junaid and Rohail Hyatt. Zaki had been part of their band, Vital Signs, briefly during 1994.

This picture was tweeted by Salman who gave the credits of the picture to Taimoor, who retweeted the picture on his account. He also expressed his love and adoration for the legend in these words ‘(Aamir Zaki was) one of the greats of our time. His guitar solo in Aitebaar left millions mesmerized’

According to family and friends, Zaki died of heart failure on Friday. He was 49. His brother, Shahid Zaki, said Aamir had been suffering from a prolonged illness. He was laid to rest early Saturday morning at a local graveyard

Babur Junaid Jamshed is the son of popular Pakistani singer and Naat Khuwan Junaid Jamshed who was once on the heights of popularity because of his great career in music. Junaid Jamshed died in a plan crash in Skardu in December 2016. He was on a religious trip to Skardu. He left three sons, a daughter and a widow. His son Babur Junaid Jamshed often appears on television. Babur loves to recite his father’s Naats as well.

Lately, Babur Junaid Jamshed made an appearance in Nadir Ali’s podcast. In the podcast, Nadir Ali and Babur talked about Junaid Jamshed’s last voice note, his death news and wish of Martyrdom (Shahadat).

Talking about the last voice note, Nadir Ali said, “If you allow, I want to know about your last moments with Junaid Jamshed. I would also like to talk about his last voice note which was shared by Arsalan Bhai, who used be with him. I heard his last voice note, I heard that he used to say MashaAllah, Insha Allah very frequently but in that last voice note he said, “I will come to Karachi” and by the will of Allah, he forgot to say In Sha Allah and it never happened, this was again Allah’s will”. Talking about it, Babur Junaid Jamshed said, “I was at home when we heard Baba’s new. My mother told this to me but again, I want to tell you something. I have never shared it before that he wanted Shahadat. He used to say, ‘I know my ills and wrongdoings, I want to be forgiven’ and that’s why he wanted the death of Shahadat. It was our father’s biggest wish to embrace Shahadat, you won’t believe that he always used to do the same Dua in which he used to ask Shahadat. We used to get worried, my mother used to get angry on his prayers but it was like that”. Babur Junaid Jamshed also said that he was very good, kind, humble and friendly person and these qualities were gifted to him by Allah.

Junaid Jamshed was famous Pakistani Naat Khuwan and religious teacher. He first rose to fame as a popular Pakistani singer. Junaid Jamshed passed away in December 2016 in a tragic plane crash. Recently, his son Babar Junaid Jamshed first time opened up about facing financial difficulties after his father’s death. He also talked about his inspiration behind joining Tableegh (becoming religious student).

Talking about facing hard times, Babar Junaid Jamshed said, “After our father’s death, we sold our house, it was becoming quite difficult for us to maintain that particular lifestyle, a lot of people think that we are lying when we talk about our financial difficulties but we really had to go through financial issues. At the time of our father’s death, he was the only bread earner of our house and we all were students. Well, Allah always tests his selective people”. Babar Junaid Jamshed further said, “people used to come to our house and would demand a hefty amount in the name of our father’s debt, they were the random people, we never knew about those people. How could we afford to pay that money, we didn’t know about our father’s financial dealings, his charities and his other businesses, we only knew about the outlet, we were completely blank about everything”

Vital Signs has joined hands once again after so many years to make the song “Chand Sitara” which will be released nationwide on 14th August. The special launch of the song already took place yesterday in the form of a concert in which the vital signs band members alongwith some other singers sang songs. Two days ago a video got viral on social media where Junaid Jamshed was talking about a sacred personality of Islam. Soon afterwards Junaid Jamshed has apologized for the same video. Here is the apology from Junaid Jamshed.

However Muhammad Mubeen Qadri who belongs to a religious political party Sunni Tehreek has launched an FIR against Junaid Jamshed under the clause 295C of Pakistan Penal Code.  The clause is commonly known as blasphemy act and it was implemented in 1980’s under the regime of General Ziaul Haque. Since implemented the clause is regularly termed as being misused against minorities and against Muslims as well.

Junaid Jamshed is currently not in Pakistan. In last week a session court in Gilgit Baltistan region sentenced 26 year prison to few media personalities under the same act including Veena Malik, Shaista Lodhi, Asad Khattat and Mir Shakeelur Rehman.

Since the cricket season is on, the much hyped TVC now a days is of Pepsi where we see bunch of shining stars and above all, the part that make this TVC remarkable is the addition of DIL DIL PAKISTAN, originally sung by Vital Signs in 1987; This song was declared as 3rd Most Famous Song of the World by BBC at that time.

Now that it has been made part of Pepsi TVC , seems like the original singers are not happy with it. JJ claimed that beverage company has violated the copyrights law by adding his song in the commercial without his consent.

JJ claimed that they should pay Rs 10 million as compensation and stop playing Pepsi TVC. Sindh High Court ordered Pepsi to edit the TVC and remove the song before airing it again.

As a result, all we can hear now is “Pakistan”, DIL DIL has been removed from this TVC .. :)

Salman Ahmed, once part of Vital Signs, also expressed satisfaction after the removal of song from commercial.

On serious note, Ayesha Umer ruined the charm of song by remixing it this way. (Personal thought :P)

Talking about why, youngsters are opting for YouTube as a career, he said, “In fact, people find it difficult to earn through a small business (like french a fries shop) . They think that they will be working hard for years and they will not be able to see the fruits of their hard work. Also, people want to do anything on the internet in order to get famous because internet ensures an instant success. So, they have started making videos, it is a good income source, although, I encourage social media platforms as source of earning but the children should not be exposed to it.
