The last year’s Coke Studio was the one where all the remakes and renditions started going to hell. People are not really taking the remakes as most of them were not doing justice to the originals. The story of Ko Ko Korina is still not forgotten. Well, Aima Baig performed at the opening ceremony of HBL PSL 4 with Shuja Haider and they sang Nazia and Zohaib Hassan’s Disco Deewane and to put t mildly, the fans are not really happy.

Twitter was filled with concerns after the performance and people are apologizing to Nazia for the said rendition. The song was not very popular at the ceremony and fans are overall also not impressed by the opening ceremony which featured Fawad Khan, Junoon, Aima Baig and Shuja Haider. Saeeda Imtiaz is an actress and a model. She has appeared in movies before and is doing quite well with her career. Her last movie was Wajood where she starred opposite Danish Taimoor. The lady is now all set for another movie and she will star opposite actor Yasir Shah. The movie is titled as “Thora Pyar Thori Setting”. It will be directed by Fayyaz Idrees and he will be debuting at the silver screen with this movie. He has previously directed a drama titled Surkh Jora which aired on HUM Sitaray.

The entertainment industry is one of the most unpredictable professions in the world. At one point you are at the top of the world and a second later you are nothing. Many of our Pakistani stars are also doing the same such as Syed Jibran who owns restaurants, Fahad Mustafa has a production house Big Bang Productions which produced shows like Balaa and Cheekh. Fawad Khan owns a designer house and Shaan Shahid who has previously also been a producer is all set to lunch his furniture line.

The former morning show queen Shaista Lodhi is basically related to the medical profession. Fahad Mustafa is a huge star. The actor has done a lot of work and has worked really hard to make a place for himself in the industry. He is right now one of the most loved and talented stars of Pakistan. But he is also known for being too hard in his expression of opinions. Well, the actor was again caught up in controversy when he had an altercation with a reporter at Karachi King’s press event.

A reporter from Samaa TV mistakenly called Fahad Mustafa “Fawad” while he was asking a question and Fahad did not take it easy. He went on to say that this is the reason the reporters are not paid their salaries. Well, the reporter also retaliated in the way he could and called out Fahad Mustafa. He said that Fahad should have had learnt a bit about cricket before he compared Mohammad Aamir to the legendary Waseem Akram. Fahad did not take his comments easy and asked to switch off his mike.

Things really got out of hand and a little restraint from both sides could have easily diffused the situation!

Singer Abdullah Qureshi has quite a huge fan following and is known by thousands. The guy is extremely talented and we have seen him perform so many songs with utter perfection. Well, he is also getting married this season and the celebrations have officially started with his Mehendi. Let’s put it in simple words: Coke Studio this year was a disaster. Coke Studio is a platform that gave a new life to the music scene of Pakistan. Fans all over the world used to wait for the new seasons every year but last season was just a disappointment and produced more hits on controversies than on content. To counter it, Nescafe Basement is here and is giving us back to back hits and crazy new talent that is making the country proud.

Actor Gohar Rasheed is also following the music platform and praised it. The actor went on to praise the merit which has been considered in the selection of all the artists in the Nescafe Basement and then took a small dig at the larger platform Coke Studio in a subtle way:

Dil Haara is a typical Ali Noor song and is quite soothing to hear and is a bit of good advice for all the young couples out there!

Pakistani channels have a great following for game shows like Jeeto Pakistan where the audience can win countless prizes. Celebrities like Aamir Liaquat Hussain, Fahad Mustafa and Nabeel have been a part of these shows with Fahad Mustafa having a very successful stint with his Jeeto Pakistan.

On the other hand the game show on Bol TV, Game Show Aise Hi Chalega didn’t have that much success and two hosts have already left the show including Aamir Liaquat and later Nabeel.
