Adnan Jillani is a prominent Pakistani TV actor who is known for his remarkable acting performances in hit dramas. Adnan Jillani rose to fame through PTV dramas. Aitraf was his most popular drama. His other notable dramas include Zara Yaad Kar, Thora Sa Aasman, Anchal, Kaffara, Shaam Se Pehle, Tahi Dast, Aik Sitam Aur and others. Adnan Jillani is the son of veteran Pakistani actor Qurban Jillani.
Recently, Adnan Jillani appeared in the show Daisbook, hosted by Junaid Saleem. In the show, he talked about host anf actor Nadia Khan’s hypocritic nature and her trolling on actors and drama makers.
Talking about Nadia Khan’s hypocrisy, he said, “There is an interesting story regarding Nadia; she met me a few days ago; she praised my performance in Bismil. She said, ‘Adnan, I was amazed to see your first scene. It was brilliant; it didn’t look like acting. You performed it so naturally; it was an incredible performance. Wow! ( replied in her style).”
He further added, “I first met Nadia in Dubai, where she was supposed to interview me and Kamran, and she was quite reluctant to talk to me because she had made up her mind regarding me that I am an angry person”. The host, Junaid Saleem, also took a jibe at Nadia Khan about trolling actors for doing supporting characters in dramas. Here is the link to the clip:
Replying to the co-host’s question about Nadia Khan’s trolling on Adnan Jillani for Bismil, he answered, “Nadia Khan is an amazing host; she is doing her job as a critic. It is a task given to her to bring out the negative points from actors and the projects, and she has been doing it with sheer dedication. I stay away from controversies, but a project has all the good and bad points, and the actors know why they are being part of that certain show. Nadia is respectable for me, but my fans are more valuable than her; they are happy with my drama serial. There are all types of characters in a project that elevate the show, and I did a supporting character in Bismil.”
Adnan Jilani is a very versatile actor of Pakistani drama and film industry who copied Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto recently. He started his career in 94 and he is not slowing down. This is what he had to say:
He also showed his performance as Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and copied his iconic style of speech which he performed in the project earlier.

Adnan Jaffar was a guest on Mazaq Raat and he spoke about a very hilarious story regarding his marriage. He revealed that he is happily married and it was a love marriage for both him and his beloved wife. But his father-in-law’s conduct at the time was shocking for him when he did not try to investigate anything about him.
He hilariously said that my father-in-law never checked anything about me and thus you will also never find any controversies about me. Tamsha Season 2 ended up on a fiery note. People were unsure how the winner won, many thought Faizan got favours while many contestants did not want to talk to each other at all. There is always a lot of drama or as we might say Tamasha going around the show but this time people were actually angry at each other. One contestant among all those was Adnan Hussain also known as Addy who was largely chill during his stint and he used to sleep a lot.
Adnan Hussain was a guest on Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast and he opened up about people thinking he remains stoned all the time. He said that yes he has tried weed, cocaine and every other drug in the last 20 years but he does not take any. He tried them out of curiosity but he just cannot bring himself to buy a single line of powder for 10,000 rupees.
This is what he said:
Ahmed Ali Butt also asked him about his constant profession. He used to be a drummer with a passion for heavy metal music. He also started painting later on and tried his hand at acting. Adnan Hussain has been out of the industry for many years and he said that he is a freelancer with multiple talents. He also talked about favouritism in the industry and revealed that even Tamasha had an on-set favourite and it was Faizan Sheikh. Adnan said that is why Faizan was so unbothered about everything there. He said that if they want to make you a star, they will work on your shortcomings too but if they don’t want to do it, nothing will work in your favour.
Adnan Faysal hosts the FHM podcast and he has hosted different celebrities, politicians and businessmen on his show. There have been instances when the guests got into trouble for the statements that they made. Behroze Sabzwari with his Imran Khan statement and Saima Qureshi with her kamai main barkat statement are a few examples of it.
Adnan Faysal sat for an interview with Ahmed Ali Butt and spoke about his experience while hosting these podcasts. He has previously revealed that he wanted to invite Hania Aamir to his show but she demanded 2 million rupees for the appearance. He does not pay his guests and therefore refused to do it for Hania also.
In his latest appearance, Adnan Faysal revealed that a huge superstar of Pakistan demanded 6 million aka 60 lakh rupees to appear on his podcast. The said guest came on to Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast without taking any money. This started a debate and a guessing game about who that star could be. Adnan did not mention a name himself.
This is what was revealed:
The internet is guessing that the star could be Fawad Khan as he is a big name. Many said that the said star just did not want to come and used a hefty amount as an excuse to say not to the appearance. Netizens also pointed out that interviewers should not disclose this information as this is the right of a star to demand money as these appearances are literally their job:
Adnan Ansari is a makeup artist of the stars. He is also a close friend of many big artists. He is known for his close association with superstar Mahira Khan and he has worked on many of her iconic looks including her wedding events makeup. His makeup artistry has made him one of the most in-demand makeup artists of the country.
Adnan Ansari just celebrated his birthday with big stars. It was a star-studded celebation with Mahira Khan, Sheheryar Munawar, Ahad Raza Mir, Sanam Saeed and many other big names in attendance. They made Adnan’s day special and he has shared some moments with the world. Check out:

Rubbishing these reports, Pancholi said in an interview to Bombay Times, “What scuffle with Sushant? I never had any argument with him, which I have clarified before as well. And, why will Salman Khan get involved in my life? Does he not have other things to do? I don’t even know who Disha is, I have never met her in my life. I found out about her after Sushant’s death, and I feel bad for the families involved. Somebody makes up a vague story, puts it online, people lap it up and make him the villain! People need to be responsible about what they share on the web. Shouldn’t you let the cops do their job? No one is above the law. You cannot kill anyone and get away with it. Sooraj was cordial with Sushant. If Disha was pregnant, wouldn’t that be in the police records?”

Waheed Murad is one of the biggest stars of Pakistan. His family has always been a part of the public’s life though Waheed Murad passed away when he was very young. Another tragedy just hit the Murad family as the matriarch of the house Salma Murad passed away after a long illness. Waheed and Salma’s son Adil Murad had shared the news of his mother’s passing.
Talking to a journalist, Adil Murad revealed that he was back in Pakistan to see is ailing mom. He left on Friday and she died the following Sunday. Adil shared that she felt a bit better after seeing him. She had been suffering from severe dementia and her condition was very complicated. Since Adil had just come back, he could not go back to Pakistan when his mom died.
This is what he revealed:
He also cleared the air about rumours that he had left Pakistan due to fighting with his mom. He said that he settled abroad in 1992 and after his family faced a robbery attempt and guns were pointed at his children, he again decided to leave Pakistan. HE added that there was no fight with his mother and his family shifting abroad was a mutual decision.
Here is what he shared about reasons regarding leaving Pakistan and settling abroad:
Tabrez Alam’s heroic act soon turned to a fiasco when word reached Falak Sher Bhai. Woh insaan hi kya jo bedaahgh ho… Nayyab tried her best to plead her case of wanting to stay at but her words fell on deaf ears. Jaan se ziada izzat pyaari hoti hai! She was forced out and returned to her Chacha in classic Cinderella style leaving behind her chappals. I get how Tabrez played the role of her savior but I was quite surprized to note Nayyab’s overconfidence while dealing with the elders- Bibi Jaan and Falak Sher. It wasn’t like Tabrez had promised her the world but somehow she seemed a little too sure for a bholi bhaali gaon ki larki. Alishba reaction at finding out that Nayyab was mercilessly sent away was again very over-the-top considering that she met Nayyab only last night.
As lavish as the sets are, I was extremely disappointed with the bedrooms- to put it mildly, they are hideous- be it the loud pink in Alishba’s room or the red in Uzma’s room, they are just too tacky and scream of kitsch. With Nayyab back in her village, her Chacha rearranges her match made in hell with Sultaney. And for the second time, Nayyab runs away and Sultaney is devastated to find his wife Jeeva in place of Nayyab. Tabrez sends his chauffeur on a rescue mission and has Nayyab back in his sarparasti.
Dilawar is frustrated with his na ehel and na laiq henchman, Ishtiaq and tells him to round up the media once again. The last dharna was a roaring success but unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to destroy Tabrez. Dilawar is obsessed with bringing down Bibi Jaan and co and spends his time plotting and scheming. Till now, we haven’t discovered much about Dilawar’s personal life- is he married? Does he have a family? I think once we get to know more about him, we may find it in our hearts to empathize with him.
Uzma and Tabrez have yet another spat- baatein bhi toh barti chali jaati hein; pehle Noor ul Ain ki Taabedaari, phir Haadiya ki tasveer, aur ab kam umar larkiyon ki sarparasti. With that, we get to know that Tabrez’s muse (Iffat Omar) is Haadia. We also found out that Bibi Jaan tried to get Tabrez married to Haadia but failed and instead got him married to Uzma- a hum umar biwi jiskey saath woh khush reh sakey. But Uzma hasn’t made his life a bed of roses and Tabrez is perpetually frustrated and avoids her as much as he can.
As far as the acting is concerned, Samina Peerzada is a sight for sore eyes; Faisal Rehman is one of my favorite actors and he excels at this role; Usman Peerzada is flawless; Alyy Khan lives up to the role of the ruthless Dilawar. However, the newbies are nothing to wrote home about.
P.S. I’ve recently found out that Adhura Milan is not your regular 20+ episode serial. It is a long-running soap! I hope to God they were kidding when they mentioned that it will run for at least a 100 episodes. I doubt I can watch something that runs for that long, let alone review it so I will most likely opt for a monthly instead of a weekly review. If any of you know otherwise, please let me know!
In a battle of wits, Dilawar knows only too well that it isn’t Tabrez he’s up against- it’s the raani– Bibi Jaan. Like a seasoned chess player, Dilawar likes keeping tabs on his opponents next move. The news of Tabrez Alam rescuing a damsel in distress is quickly twisted by the media and sensationalized into a story of a maroof jaagidaar and businessman kidnapping a young girl from a neighboring village. Such is the power of media- they have the capacity to influence people’s perception. Dilawar basks in the glory of knowing he has caused unrest in the lives of his adversaries- to toh gaya Tabrez Alam. While Uzma, Tabrez’s second wife throws a hissy fit, Bibi Jaan retains her composure because she knows she can mold Tabrez the way she wants. She sternly reminds Tabrez that he should maintain a distance from this young girl- yeh tumhari thaam ne ki cheez nahin hai! Tum ek mard ho, sirf ek mard! What a perfectly flawless rendition of the nature of man. Easily swayed, weak in the face of temptation and sympathetic- is it any wonder that Bibi Jaan is overly cautious?
Alishba is furious and embarrassed by the news of the kidnapping and talking to her mother only instigates her further. But she mellows down after speaking to her father- a man she looks up to and who loves her dearly. I love the father-daughter relationship here- probably the only real bond Tabrez has in his life. His relationship with Bibi Jaan is one of respect and honor and the one with Uzma is a painful compromise. Uzma’s frustrations can be explained due to her awkward living situation- with Bibi Jaan’s constant control over any and everything and her husband’s lack of interest in her. She resorts to pills to keep what is left of her sanity intact.
Alishba befriends Nayyab and is shocked to find out the circumstances that led her to her father. She understands her father’s rationale at being her savior and seems genuinely compassionate. Meanwhile in Dilawar’s world, he is anxious to keep Tabrez in the limelight- for all the wrong reasons, of course. His subordinate Ishtiaq informs him of an upcoming dharna that pleases him immensely. Agar mein apney subordinates ko moun laganey mein believe karta to yakeenan tum mere dost hotay… Dilawar is an expert at manipulating people and getting them to do his dirty work all the while maintaining a safe distance- similar to Bibi Jaan. Both of them know their maqaam in society and know that getting too close to people can jeopardize their position. Tabrez belongs to a completely different school of thought which causes him to clash with Bibi Jaan- aap Bibi Jaan hai aur mein sirf ek insaan!
Did you watch this episode? What did you think? Who has been your favorite character so far?
I am completely enamored by the splendor of Adhura Milan. The contrast between the haves and the have-nots is evident in the display of opulence versus basic necessities. Tabrez finds himself trapped with the burden of his status and the accompanying responsibilities- Mein zindagi guzaartey huey bhi zindagi ko isteefa de chuka houn! Aren’t these the silent musings of women who are helplessly caught in the vicious cycle of situational circumstances? How often do we see a man who feels subdued in the presence of a woman? But then again, Bibi Jaan is no ordinary woman- she is a woman who is clearly in control and doesn’t let him forget it- Hum tumhe bholney ki ijaazat bhi nahin detay! Samina Peerzada continues to impress and leaves a lasting impression. Bibi Jaan is not only his first wife, she is also his mentor. She is all about keeping up appearances and riwayat– something Tabrez has a difficult time adjusting to. His second wife voices her frustrations against Tabrez’s apparent devotion to Bibi Jaan and misses no opportunity to snub him. But Tabrez isn’t one to get affected by her rants- Unko apni haisiyat mein rehney do aur tum apni haisiyat ko girney se bachao. Not exactly a union of the minds here!
Sultanay has the audacity to tell his wife that he is marrying Nayyab- she reacts as any woman would and goes to confront Nayyab, accusing her of trying to steal her husband. Nayyab, shocked at her chacha’s decision, fakes a suicide attempt and seeing no way out, her chachi tells her to run away. Nayyab crosses over to the other side and ends up collapsing near Tabrez Alam. Despite the villagers admonishment, Tabrez decides to take Nayyab with him. There is something about this mystery girl that reminds him of his past- we get further insight into his love interest and their last meeting before she agreed to a marriage arranged by her father. Was Tabrez as sincere as he seems or did she agree to the marriage to let him off the hook knowing that he was incapable of taking any decisions on his own?
We are introduced to another new character- Jana Malik. Her relationship with Dilawar is still unclear but she lives in his home. A wife maybe? But he referred to another woman too- does he also follow the same tradition of multiple wives? Dilawar is the exact opposite of Tabrez- he’s ruthless, dictating and a feared tyrant. His past horrors have shaped him into the man he is today, but Tabrez has had his share of misfortune too. Yet both these men have reacted differently and conduct themselves in entirely contrasting ways. While the villagers respect Tabrez, they live in fear of Dilawar. Next week should be interesting as we will get to see ho Bibi Jaan reacts to Tabrez’s decision of bringing Nayyab. What did you think of Episode 2? Is this on your Friday watch-list yet?
A Plus is quickly becoming a force to reckon with. They have a very interesting line-up of shows and the latest to grab my attention is Adhura Milan. Airing every Fridays at 8pm, Adhura Milan is written by Noor ul Huda Shah and Sheeraz Kazi, directed by Zulfiqar Ali and produced by Miraqsm Media. The cast boasts of stalwarts such as Samina Peerzada and Usman Peerzada, the ever-impressive Faisal Rehman, the ravishing Iffat Omar and a very strong supporting cast- Aly Khan, Soha Malik, Kinza Hashmi, Khalid Butt, Nayyar Ijaz and others.
Before anything else, I have to give a huge shout out to the impeccable production values, the addictive soundtrack and the overall aesthetics. Adhura Milan is a visual delight, with special attention to costumes and accessories, lavish décor and a very new feel. Our story begins with Tabrez Alam (Faisal Rehman) who is married to Soha Malik and has a daughter Alishba. Although at first glance, there is some air of discomfort between him and his wife, Tabrez is a doting father who clearly pampers his daughter. A refined gentleman, he is fond of music and plays the piano in his spare time. In a faded flashback, we see his muse- Iffar Omer but we have yet to know anything about her. What we do know about him is that he is an industrialist and tries to stay clear of land conflicts. But he doesn’t have a perfect life- far from it. At the age of 16, he was married to a much older woman, Noor ul Ain/ Bibi Jaan (Samina Peerzada) who has raised him into the man he is today. Not only that, but she had arranged his second marriage too. But Bibi Jaan is a far cry from Mahjabeen from Numm, she is an aristocrat, a zamindarni if you will, a woman of extreme power and resources and Tabrez acts as the caretaker of her massive property and wealth. Not just that, but as his wife mocks him, Bibi Jaan is his majazi khuda.
We are also introduced to his nemesis, Dilawar (Aly Khan) who has sworn to avenge the wrongdoing his mother suffered at the hands of Bibi Jaan. In a quick flashback we get to see his mother and a young Dilawar kicked out in the middle of the night for reasons we have yet to discover. Dilawar has managed to amass quite a sizable chunk of land himself and is now at a competitive level with Tabrez. Usman Peerzada reprises his role as a feudal lord and acts as an arbitrator between Tabrez and Dilawar. On Dilawar’s side of the land, lives Nayyab (Kinza Hashim) an orphan girl raised by her Chacha Bakhtawar (Khalid Butt) and Chachi. Nayyab is a carefree lass who lives life to the full and makes the most of her little world by celebrating the gudday- guriya ki shaadi with enthusiasm and fervor. Unfortunately for her, Ustaad Sultanay (Nayyar Ijaz) , the village kingpin has his eyes set on her. As luck would have it, her Chacha owes him an enormous gambling debt and he gets coerced into agreeing to the horrid union.
I’m really looking forward to the next episode. So far, I have fallen in love with the soundtrack sung by Shiraz Upal and Neeti Mohan (of Ishq Wala Love fame) and I’m impressed by the cast. The story seems unique but one of the biggest draws for me is the flawless picture quality. I need to like what I see and poor quality makes even the most interesting serial unwatchable. Did you watch the first episode? What did you think?
The whole journey of this show has been wonderful, and it was always a pleasure to review it, though the show did get a bit depressing at times. It had a serious of tragedies occurring one after the other which kept the viewer hooked and rooted to their seats. Though the story was clichéd, the execution was simply brilliant! The credit goes to the whole team of course!
The end was not as satisfying as I had expected. Zayaan did have his share of suffering and regret in the form of Faiza and his abnormal son. I had assumed Zayaan and Faiza did not have any child but it was revealed in this episode that they had a son who turned out to be abnormal. ‘meri galtiyon ki saza meri aulad ko mil rahi hai’ Zayaan confessed this to Ashiya with a lot of regret over his past deeds. I was expecting to see Nusrat and Afshah regretting their behavior towards Maryam, but nothing like this happened though they suffered their own share of miseries. The sad part was that Zayaan was still being selfish in Ashiya’s case. He proudly declared that he has the right to meet his daughter in front of Maryam.
‘Jab Farz Ada Karna Ka Waqt Tha To Tum Kaha Thay’
This is what Maryam replied when he was declared his right on Ashiya. Maryam was hurt the most when Ashiya took Zayaan’s side when she had so proudly informed Zayaan that her daughter has no interest in meeting him. If only she had told the truth before than none of this would be happening in the first place! When Maryam finally tried to tell everything about her past to Ashiya, it was just too late as Ashiya was already brainwashed by Afshah. Ashiya would have never gotten to know the truth if Faiza had not told her everything in anger.
Maryam was in constant fear that Ashiya would leave her and go to her father. She knew that she could never give her the life that Zayaan could with his money. She kept on praying for Ashiya to return to her, and her prayer was finally answered when Ashiya came out of the delusion about her father and got to know his true face.
‘Mein Apko Kabhi Chor Ker Nahi Jaongi’
The mother daughter scene was extremely heartwarming when Ashiya comes crying to Maryam after getting to know the truth. Maryam was finally relieved and happy to see that Ashiya had come back to her. It was really hard for Maryam to give permission to Ashiya to meet Zayaan in the first place and even harder to live in the constant fear that Zayaan will take away her most prized possession.
Faiza’s life may seem perfect from outside but she got her punishment in the form of her abnormal child. She had ruled Zayaan throughout the years, but Zayaan finally stood up to her for her daughter. The slap was rightfully deserved; not because she told Ashiya the truth, but because it was about time Zayaan stood up to her instead of being a puppet in her hands. Maheen Rizvi was the best choice for Faiza as she had beautifully portrayed her character throughout the show. All her scenes in the last episode were bang on! From her expressions to the dialogue delivery, everything was perfect!
I was looking forward to Zayaan’s apology to Maryam and I must say, it was beautifully directed and enacted by both the actors. Zayaan surprised Maryam by his apology who never expected someone like Zayaan to bow down in front of anyone. He admitted all his mistakes and what a huge blunder he had made by rejecting the most precious gift in his life in the form of her. His apology could never be enough for he had done, but Maryam truly had a big heart to forgive him.
‘Meine Tumhe Maaf Kiya, Apni Beti Ke Liyeah Tumhe Maaf Kiya’
The dialogues in this scene were simply beautiful. Faysal Qureshi’s superb dialogue delivery and Ayeza Khan’s expressions made the scene even better! But I really wish Ashiya had not kept ties with Zayaan; he did not deserve to have Ashiya in his life.
The credit of the whole show goes firstly to its director who brought out the raw emotions in every scene, and made sure every actor gave their best. Secondly, a huge round of applause for the three main leads; Ayeza Khan, Faysal Qureshi and Maheen Rizvi who gave their 100% in this show. And lastly, I would like to mention that the OST and background music of this show was used perfectly and added another dimension to every scene. Even the camera work was brilliant! The angles captured were beautifully shot. The show might not have gathered good ratings in the beginning, but it definitely attracted viewers towards the end!
How did you guys find the last episode? Did the ending seem satisfactory?
This week’s episode depicted a very common problem in our society. Why are the girl’s families always the victim of all the insults from her in laws? The girl’s in laws make the most unreasonable demands and the girl’s family need to fulfill all these demands just because their daughter is a part of that house. I am glad they showed this issue in this show and they did manage to depict the helplessness of the girl’s family perfectly!
Maryam’s mother in law seems to be in no mood to accept Maryam even after Afsha’s problem has been solved and she has gone back to her house. She leaves no chance to insult, humiliate and degrade Maryam in all possible ways. First she complained to Zayaan about her manners as Mehnaz taunted Nusrat that Maryam did not meet her properly which is not true at all. She treated all the guests with respect but was reluctant to socialize with them as she still blames herself for everything they had gone through recently.
Nusrat pointed fingers at Maryam’s upbringing and Zayaan got annoyed and told her to resolve all her issues regarding Maryam by talking to her and this gave Nusrat another chance to taunt Maryam and that is exactly what she did. She insulted Maryam badly and even pointed fingers at her family and her background and this is when Sultan came and heard Nusrat verbally abusing Maryam and in anger he answered back to Nusrat and Nusrat got highly offended. She then created a huge drama just to humiliate Maryam further and she kept the childish demand that Sultan should apologize to her in the presence of his parents. The shocking part is that Zayaan agreed and he even kept this demand in front of Maryam and when she tried to reason with him, Zayaan was not ready to listen to anything! Is this the same Zayaan who was dying to marry Maryam once upon a time?
My heart went out for Maryam when she had to beg Nusrat to take her demand back but Nusrat showed no pity and Maryam finally had to call Sultan and ask him to come and apologize and bring their parents along. Maryam’s parents were unaware of everything that had happened and were happy to visit Maryam’s house for the first time but they were in for a shock when Nusrat started behaving rudely with them and questioned their upbringing. The way Sultan apologized with his hands joined and head bowed was unbearable to watch! If this was not enough, his father made him go on his knees and apologize! I cannot imagine what Maryam would have felt seeing her parents and brother’s humiliation. Ayeza Khan has done a commendable job in this episode as she beautifully portrayed the inner turmoil Maryam was going through.
While Maryam was facing all this humiliation alone, Zayaan was enjoying lunch with Faiza. Zayaan, this is the same Faiza you hated and refused to marry, don’t you remember? I have no idea what happened to Zayaan all of a sudden! I cannot believe someone can change so much in such a short time. We got to see a new male chauvinistic side of Zayaan as according to him it is not necessary to tell wives everything, really Zayaan? Apparently his views about Faiza has also changed after she helped Afsha and convinced Khurram to take her back into the house. He has started taking Maryam for granted and I cannot believe he refused to come when Maryam asked him to come to give her moral support! He did not even tell her that he was with Faiza and just told her to deal with everything herself. Faiza was seen gloating when she saw Zayaan talking rudely to Maryam. So far she has been succeeding in her plan as Zayaan has started to treat her properly but how long will she able to keep up the façade that she has accepted Zayaan and Maryam’s relationship? Not for long I am sure!
The preview for the next episode looks promising as Nusrat’s attitude is going to change after she hears the news of the baby.
We saw another engaging episode this week with lots of twists and turns. The twists were expected but dramatic at the same time. Faiza is using the oldest trick in the book that is taking revenge not by hate but through love and her so called mentor is none other than Umair. He is taking his own revenge through Faiza and Faiza is not even aware of it. She is just a pawn in his big scheme of taking revenge from Maryam.
Her first step was to bring Afshah back to her house to win Zayaan and his family’s heart. She was unsure of this idea given by Umair but she pondered over it and came to the conclusion that it would be the best decision under these circumstances. She went to Zayaan’s house and shocked everyone, she asked Afshah to pack her things and come back with her to her house. Khurram was ready to leave Afshah for her sister’s sake but Faiza made a dramatic entry and gave a very emotional speech about her ultimate sacrifice for her brother and Khurram got all emotional and accepted Afshah.
Faiza definitely succeeded in making a place in everyone’s heart through this act of hers and on top of that she surprised everyone by welcoming Maryam wholeheartedly to her house. Everybody seemed shocked and confused by her behavior but Faiza only seemed interested in Zayaan’s reaction. Even when she came to take Afshah back she was looking at Zayaan and trying to judge his reaction. Maryam and Zayaan’s opinion about Faiza changed after this and Maryam went so far as to ask Zayaan why he left a girl like Faiza. Maryam is too trusting for her own good and this will create a lot of problems for her in the future!
Nusrat attitude towards Maryam has not changed a bit and it just keeps on getting worse day by day. Ajji came to Maryam’s house to make sure Maryam was happy in her house and Maryam was trying to make her believe that she is happy but just then her mother in law came and insulted Ajji very badly. Maryam’s lies were exposed and she could not even face Ajji. Ajji went back and lied to Maryam’s family that she looked happy in her house but Sultan could see that something was fishy as Ajji stopped him from visiting Maryam’s house by coming up with an excuse.
Maryam still did not give up and made food for everyone but Nusrat refused to eat it and again hurled brutal and painful words at Maryam. She also did not let her take care of Afshah and insulted her again. After all these failed attempts to make a place in everyone’s heart, she gave up and Zayaan saw a defeated Maryam crying and all he could ask Maryam was to be patient. I believe to some extent Nusrat’s attitude is also justified. She blames Maryam for stealing her son from her and breaking her daughter’s house. I personally believe the cause of all these problems is Zayaan himself. He should have thought about his sister before taking such a big step and now there was no use of regretting his decision. Maryam got upset when he saw how helpless he was feeling and even gave him permission to marry Faiza. Maryam really needs to control her emotions and stop being so naïve!
Faiza will now take her next step towards her revenge with Umair’s help. I am curious to know what it will be! She has already managed to soften Zayaan attitude towards her and now she will come up some new plan to separate Maryam and Zayaan.
The story is getting more and more interesting by the day and we got to see a lot of twist and turns in this episode. Khurram’s condition had left Zayaan shocked and his dilemma was perfectly depicted. On one hand, he had promised Maryam and her family that he would keep her happy at all cost and on the other hand, her sister’s future is at stake. The scene where he goes to Maryam while she is sleeping and she hold on to his hand was brilliantly directed and executed. I simple love the chemistry between these two!
Zayaan is left completely helpless and he resorts to the last option that he is left with. He meets Fazia and tries to reason with her. At one time, Zayaan loathed her mere presence but now he goes to her as he needs her help to get out of this situation. He clearly tells her that I can marry you under my family’s pressure but there would be no place for her between him and Maryam.
“Mein Tumse Shaadi Kersakhta Hun, Per Tumhara Ban Ker Nahi Rehsakta”
These words shocks Faiza and she could not help but ask what she lacks and why he dislikes her so much. Zayaan clearly tells her that he does not see his ideal life partner in her and he has already found his ideal in Maryam. Zayaan’s words cuts through her like a knife and she loses control over herself and ends up cutting her wrist. Maheen was absolutely spectacular in this scene. I never knew she could act so well! Her dialogue delivery and expressions have improved a lot and I am glad she was chosen to play Faiza’s role.
As expected, Khurram blamed Afshah for Faiza’s condition and the situation again worsened. I really feel bad for Afshah as she is stuck in this situation without having any fault. Khurram was about to give her a divorce when he heard about Afshah expecting and this saved her marriage. Let’s see if Khurram brings her back to the house.
Now the shocking part of the episode! Faiza’s doctor at the hospital turns out to be none other than Umair, Maryam’s ex fiancé. He turns out to be Faiza’s college friend and he even meets Maryam at the hospital and gets surprised to know that she had come to meet Faiza. He gets even more shocked when he hears that she was the reason for Faiza’s condition because in his view Maryam is an ordinary girl. I have a strong feeling Faiza and Umair are going to team up and take their revenge from Maryam and Zayaan!
Maryam went to meet Faiza because she just realized how much Faiza loved Zayaan and she was the one to come in between them unknowingly. She truly feels bad for Faiza and told her that if she could do something for you then she would have done it and Faiza asks her to leave Zayaan which leaves Maryam in shock. I personally think she made a wrong choice marrying Zayaan even after knowing the whole situation. She should have been more practical in her approach and now she is badly stuck in this complicated situation. How will she ever manage to make a place in everyone’s heart? The treatment of her in Zayaan’s house is getting worse by the day.
Faiza is not going to accept defeat easily and she will definitely come up with a new scheme. Faiza is acting unreasonably because she is stubborn and spoiled but what about Khurram and Mehnaz? At least they should talk some sense into her. There is no use marrying an already married man which is going to make her life even more miserable. I guess they cannot see anything beyond Faiza’s happiness and that is why they are fulfilling all her wishes blindly.
According to the promos, Maryam gives Zayaan permission to marry Faiza but will Zayaan marry her? Let’s see what is in store for us in the next episode!
‘Now the real story begins!’ This is what came to mind while watching the episode. A lot of things happened in this episode and I was again hooked throughout.
The episode started off with Zayaan’s mother calling him and asking him to reach home urgently as she had a ‘shocking’ news in store for him. He quickly went home and took Maryam along with him and got to know that Khurram had taken his revenge from Afshah and had thrown her out of the house. This shocked him and he quickly went to Khurram’s house to reason with him but to no avail. Khurram was not ready to take Afshah back in his house and showed Zayaan the door. Zayaan left his house with a heavy heart and finally realized the gravity of the situation. He had become selfish and had taken such a big step without even thinking about his sister and now he could not bare to see his sister in such a condition. He realized that he should have said no to Faiza’s proposal when he was about to marry Maryam. Well, its too late to dwell over the past Zayaan! You should have thought about this before marrying Maryam and bringing her to your house all of a sudden.
Faiza may have been humiliated and heart broken but she is not the kind of person who forgets her insult so easily. Instead of drowning in emotions, she quickly thought of a revenge plan and executed it with finesse. She played her game with her mind and went to meet Afshah and showed sympathy towards her and promised to convince her brother to bring her back. Even Zayaan was impressed when he saw that she was ready to help Afshah and this was the first time that he spoke politely to her. Her smirk when Zayaan called out her name and then her change of expressions were brilliantly executed and captured.
Maryam clearly did not expect Zayaan’s mother to be the evil ‘mother in law’ types. She was more or less horrified to see their behaviour towards her. Afshah and her mother both blamed Maryam for Afshah’s condition and their attitude towards her was very harsh especially Zayaan’s mothers’. She kicked Maryam out of her house and while Maryam screamed and begged to let her in, she did not show an ounce of pity towards her. After that Maryam made sure she did not cross path with either her sister in law or mother in law. However, Zayaan asked her to try to interact with him because she would need to make place in their hearts herself. They then went for shopping for the whole family and Maryam brought gifts for everyone. Afshah took the gift and in courtesy said a good word or two but Zayaan’s mother attitude did not change one bit. She threw the gift and refused to take it! I do not think she is going to mellow down anytime soon. Maryam is in for a rough time ahead!
Afshah managed to convince her mother to attend Zayaan and Maryam’s wedding reception by telling her that if they don’t go then they might end up losing their control over Zayaan and if they want to stay in his good books then it is better to attend the function. Zayaan’s mother agreed half heartedly to be a part of the function but her annoyance and disapproval was clearly written on her face during the whole function and she just could not stand anyone praising Maryam. Afshah was now relieved and had calmed down because Faiza had given her reassurance and she knew that Khurram would never say no to anything that Faiza says. She is yet to know that she is just a pawn in Faiza’s big scheme!
Faiza plays her final card by sending Khurram with a proposal. If Zayaan wants Afshah to go back to her house then he needs to make Faiza her second wife! Everybody was shocked at this proposal and the episode ended at this cliff hanger.
Will Zayaan agree to marry Faiza? The preview for the next episode seems pretty confusing. Let’s see what happens next in the show!
I am glad that we finally got to see a fast paced and extremely entertaining episode this week. It kept me hooked throughout and that does not happen often. I usually lose interest after a few minutes and skim through the rest of the episode to get an idea of what happened. The first 15 minutes were mainly focused on Maryam’s family contemplating and speculating whether to agree to Zayaan’s proposal or not. I am glad that they showed this because it would not make any sense if they agreed to the proposal wholeheartedly despite knowing that Zayaan’s family is not in favor of the marriage.
Zayaan had clearly told Maryam’s family that his mother is not happy with his marriage to Maryam as she wants him to marry someone else and she would not be present in his wedding either. He tried to convince them by giving them assurance that he would keep Maryam happy no matter what the circumstances are. Zareena was the only person in the whole family who was keen to get Maryam married to Zayaan but the rest were being more practical and thinking about Maryam’s future in Zayaan’s house.
Maryam’s father and her brother were not in favor of her marriage to Zayaan but when they heard Mariam’s opinion on the marriage, they also agreed. It was very apparent that Sultan was still not in favor of the marriage. Zareena was the happiest to hear this and she immediately Zayaan to give him the good news. I personally liked the way Maryam’s father clearly gave her a fair picture of what the circumstances would be once she marries Zayaan. She would face a lot of difficulties and would need to work really hard to make a place in that house and once she gets married, there would be no tuning back. Maryam’s final words, however, convinced him that she is up for the challenge:
“Ap Mujhe Per Yaqeen Ker Sakhte Hai, Mein Har Haal Mein Nibhaongi’
I personally think it was wrong of Zayaan to agree to his marriage with Faiza and then take his proposal to Maryam’s house at the same time. He should have said no to the marriage when Maryam agreed to get married to him but he remained silent and let all the arrangement for his marriage to happen. He was not right to break Faiza’s heart and dreams in such a cruel manner. He was being pressurized, I agree but he should have had enough sense not to create such a big mess! He should have at least thought about Afshah and how her life would be affected by his decision. It was very selfish on Zayaan’s part to keep his family in the dark and get married to Maryam and bring her to his house all of a sudden and shock everyone.
The scene in which he brings Maryam to his house after his Nikkah was too dramatic! He confidently came inside the house with a scared Maryam in tow and that too in the middle of the proceedings of his Dholki. He managed to shock everyone to the core and later his mother gave him a fair piece of her mind. Maryam had acted very brave before but his mother’s reaction shook her and she got extremely upset. However, Zayaan managed to console her and gave her the assurance that his mother would calm down very soon and accept her. It was one of my favorite scenes of the episode!
I knew Khurram would not remain silent after what happened with his sister and he did the only thing that was in his hand in the current situation and that is to leave Afshah. He kicked her out of his house and told her not to come back! I always knew something like this would happen as Khurram has always been very sensitive whenever it comes to Faiza.
I am waiting to know what will happen next! The preview for the next episode seemed pretty interesting. I must say, Maheen Rizvi was brilliant today as Faiza. The scene where she breaks down in front of the mirror was just brilliant! The role suits her perfectly! I do not think I need to say anything about Faisal Qureshi, I can never find anything wrong with him. He can easily fit into any character very easily. Ayeza was also good but Maheen stood out more in this episode.
Now this was a perfect episode in my view! I have been waiting for such an entertaining episode since the show went on air and this episode finally managed to fulfill all my expectations. I saw the perfect chemistry between Ayeza Khan and Faisal Qureshi which was missing in the previous episodes. The main focus on the episode was on Zayaan and Maryam and how Zayaan managed to convince Maryam to marry him.
At first, Maryam was not at all in the favor of the marriage as she had not gotten over Umair’s betrayal and she was not ready to trust any one yet. But Zayaan was adamant to know the reason behind her refusal and he ended up going to her house to talk to her. Maryam was reluctant to talk to him and clearly showed how unwelcome he was in her house. She was rude and cold towards him but this did not stop him from asking her the reason for her abrupt refusal and she finally gave him the reason that she cannot trust men anymore. Zayaan understood that there was someone in the past who broke her trust and now she is unable to trust anyone else. Zayaan tried to make her realize that all men are not the same but she was not ready to hear anything.
Maryam’s mother was extremely upset about Maryam’s behavior and her refusal for such a good proposal. Both her parents could not understand why she refused to marry Zayaan when there seems to be no problem with him. He is a well reputed person and they do not need his character certificate as he is known far and wide in the city. Maryam has hurt her parents a lot and it is high time that she forgets Umair’s betrayal and moves on in life!
On one hand, Maryam is not ready to marry him at any cost and on the other hand, Zayaan’s mother is emotionally blackmailing him that she would leave the house if he does not agree to marry Faiza. He finally says yes to Faiza’s proposal after coming under pressure from his mother. Afsha and his mother quickly took his proposal to Faiza’s house and they ended up fixing the marriage dates then and there. However, Zayaan did not seem the least bit happy about marrying Faiza because she is not the ideal life partner in his eyes. According to him his ideal partner would be a girl who is self confident and sure about herself. She should not have any kind of inferiority complex and should also know how to stand up for herself. These are the qualities which he liked and saw in Maryam and this is the reason why he took his proposal for her in the first place.
Zayaan’s determination to make Maryam agree to the marriage was seen when he told Maryam’s friend Ayesha to bring her to a restaurant without letting her know that he would also be there. Maryam got angry and upset by his behavior but he calmly tried to convince her to give him a chance. He promised to keep her happy and he also told her that he was being so stubborn because he liked her a lot and she is the only girl who meets the standard he had set for a perfect life partner. This meeting managed to change her opinion about him and she could not help but compare him to Umair and realize how different they both are.
Maryam got fully convinced when Zayaan sent her flowers and called her later to tell her that he knew she was upset after seeing Umair and he just wanted her mood to get better. Maryam found the gesture very heartwarming and she spoke to Zayaan properly for the first time and finally gave her approval for the marriage. The phone conversion was no doubt the best scene of the episode! One thing that I found ironical was when Faiza sent Zayaan flowers; he told her that he does not like such gestures and practically threw the flowers away! And now he himself sent flowers to Maryam! Funny isn’t it?
Fazia seems clearly obsessed with Zayaan and she never minds even when Zayaan is extremely rude to her. I wonder what her reaction will be when he will come barging in the house with Maryam as his wife? I am eager to watch the next episode now! What will be Zayaans’ family’s reaction to his sudden marriage to Maryam? Do not miss the next episode to find out!
This show really needs to pick up some pace already. It has been three episodes but not much has happened so far and the engagement fiasco should end already. Maryam’s mother was reluctant to tell Ajji about Maryam’s broken engagement even now that she knows Umair was not the right guy for Maryam but Ajji makes her understand that it does not matter what other people say and Maryam deserves someone better than Umair. Maryam’s mother’s only wish is that “Jo Bhi Mile Pyaar Karne Wala Aur Qadr Karne Wala Mile” Maryam is aware that her mother is the person who got affected by her broken engagement the most and tells Ajji to take care of her mother while she starts her new job.
Afsha and Zayaan’s mother are pressuring Zayaan more by the day! He does not seem the least interested in marrying Faiza but they still keep forcing him to marry her. The reason why Afsha is so adamant to get them both married is because of the pressure from her in laws. Faiza seems like a spoiled brat as she is smallest in the house and she wants only to marry Zayaan and her mother and brother are trying their best to fulfill her wish. Afsha wants Faiza to impress Zayaan and that is why she sends her to his office to be a part of his project to educate the less privileged people. Zayaan is shocked to see her at his office and his attitude becomes cold and he behaves very rudely with her. I felt a little bad for Faiza today because of the way Zayaan was behaving with her. She then goes home and gets extremely upset as she feels humiliated by the way Zayaan treated her. Her mother consoles her and assures her that Zayaan will agree as he loves her sister a lot. Well, he did agree to marry her according to the preview for the next episode. We are yet to know the reason as to why his mind changed all of a sudden.
I was expecting some spark between Maryam and Zayaan during their first meeting but it seemed like only Zayaan was the one who got impressed with Maryam while Maryam did not seem the least interested in him. She actually found him pretty annoying and he did not manage to create a good impression on her. Zayaan got more and more impressed by her when he heard her views and ideas and he liked the input she gave for their new project. He admired her dedication towards the project and invited her over a coffee but she refused him on his face! That scene was brilliantly depicted as it was the first time Zayaan received such a cold treatment from anyone. This incident increased his liking towards her and he decided to send her a marriage proposal.
Afsha and his mother clearly refused to take his proposal for anyone other than Faiza and this led to an argument between the three but Zayaan being the stubborn one decided to take his proposal himself and this shocked his mother. She realized that she may lose her son if she sticks to her decision and agreed to go to Maryam’s house to take his proposal. Maryam’s parents seemed impressed by Zayaan and were ready to agree to the proposal but Maryam clearly told them to say no! Everybody was shocked at Maryam’s decision and Zayaan’s mother felt insulted and humiliated at the abrupt refusal. Even Zayaan was shocked and confused at her refusal and wanted to know the reason behind it. Well, I personally think he should have at least spoken to Maryam about the proposal before going to her place. She just went through a rough patch in her life and needs some time to recover before she starts thinking about marriage again.
Overall, the episode was engaging but it needs to pick up some pace now! Faisal Qureshi was once again at his best while Ayeza also did a great job. Maheen Rizvi’s acting is also improving and I liked her acting in this episode. The preview for the next episode seems interesting. Lets see what is in store for us next!
Both of these revolved around Zayaan revealing the truth to Ashiya and Maryam’s reaction to Zayaan coming in their life again. Both of these episodes were a bit slow, I would have liked it if it was faster paced. They could have covered all this in a single episode.
Ashiya felt an emotional attachment to Zayaan and this is the reason why she was so eager to meet him. Zayaan decided to reveal the truth to Ashiya through the pictures. Maybe if he had verbally told her that she was his daughter, she would not have believed him completely so he decided to reveal the truth in a very dramatic manner. Ashiya was on the top of the world to finally meet her father after all these years.
Ashiya also met Nusrat and Afshah and it was kind of surprising to see Nusrat so happy to see her. There was a time when she hated the small child just because she was a girl and now after so many years suddenly Ashiya has become so important. Maybe because she never had the grandson she had dreamed off! She has always used Ashiya to her advantage and even this time she is doing the same. Afshah sees a ray of hope in Ashiya and wants to use her to challenge Faiza. She is living a miserable life with Khurram who thinks of no one except Faiza, and she thinks that Zayaan would finally speak up in front of Faiza for her daughter. It was pathetic to see her lying about Maryam to Ashiya; she sure has some guts! If only she realized that she is suffering the consequences of her own actions instead of repeating the mistakes all over again! I guess it is useless to expect some people to change.
Nusrat wants to see Afshah happy and also wants to get out of Faiza’s tyrannical rule, and this is the reason why she brainwashes Zayaan to bring Ashiya in their house even though he had no intention to take her away from Maryam. The sad part is that she still does not regret a bit about what she had done with Maryam! Zayaa; however, does regret leaving Maryam. After suffering for 14 years with a dominating partner like Faiza, how can he not remember the loving, obedient Maryam?
He went to meet Maryam after so many years just for her daughter who has brought joy and happiness back in his life. Maryam could not believe that he had the audacity to come at her doorstep after what he had done to her, but people like Zayaan can do anything for their selfish motives.
‘Tumne Jo Mujhe Dukh Diye Hai Woh Poori Zindagi Ke Liyeah Kafi Hai’
I was really happy to see that she closed the door on Zayaan’s face. He is now thinking about his daughter after so many years; he did not think about her once when he divorced Maryam. But now things are going to get worse for Maryam because Zayaan will use Ashiya to pressurize Maryam to give him permission to meet his daughter.
It is normal for Ashiya to ask about her father; any child would! She also wants to spend time with her father like any other girl of her age and she thinks her demand to meet her father is justified. If she knew Zayaan’s reality then she would have never even wanted to see his face, and I really think it is time for Maryam to tell her the reality before she gets to hear a twisted version of it from Nusrat and Afshah. Afshah has already sown the seeds of doubts in her mind against Maryam and it will take no time for the misunderstanding to grow. Ajji advised Maryam to tell Ashiya everything, but Maryam does not have the courage to narrate the most difficult time of her life to Ashiya. She needs to gather courage soon before it is too late! Ashiya has joined hands with Zayaan and she will take his side when he will come back again to meet Maryam. Maryam was so shocked to hear that Ashiya is in contact with Zayaan, what will she do if she ends up losing her? If she keeps silent for long then she may lose Aashiya to Zayaan!
Zayaan has become so brave all of a sudden because Faiza is not in the country at the moment. He wants Ashiya’s matter to be settled before she comes back because then she would never let Ashiya come in the house. Thanks to the brainwashing done by Nusrat, now Zayaan wants Ashiya to live with him too! Do these people even have a conscience? I seriously doubt that they do! Zayaan is the most pathetic character ever! Faysal Qureshi has done a wonderful job as Zayaan!
I am really looking forward to the next installment which will be the last episode!
I thoroughly enjoyed this week’s episode. It completely revolved around Ashiya and how she ends up meeting Zayaan accidentally.
Ashiya has a few complaints from her mother, and one of them is that she does not give her enough time. Like any other teenager, she also wants to spend some time with her mother, but Maryam is always so busy that she cannot give Ashiya the quality time she wants. Her second complaint is that Maryam never tells her anything about her father or his family. She keeps on asking Maryam and Ajji but she never gets a proper reply from either of them. It is normal for a girl of her age to be curious about her father, and it is time for Maryam to tell her a bit about him to satisfy her curiosity.
Ashiya met Zayaan accidently at the book shop and felt an instant connection with him. She was curious to know more about him and tried to contact him. Zayaan, after being informed that the caller’s name was Ashiya, was impatient to contact her and Maryam ended up receiving his call. Zayaan was able to put the two and two together and knew his daughter was contacting him, and his happiness was on the top of this world. You start valuing a person when they are taken away from you, and same is the case with Zayaan who started valuing his daughter when she was taken away from him. I simply loved the phone conversation between Ashiya and Zayaan; Faysal Qureshi was simply marvelous during this scene. His expressions were simply spot on! I am looking forward to more scenes between Ashiya and Zayaan now.
Nusrat and Afshah both are unhappy in their miserable lives. Nusrat is fed up of her loneliness as she has no one to take care of her except the servants. Zayaan rarely comes to meet her, thanks to Faiza. Afshah is also living in a ‘Jahannum’ where she is treated miserably by her husband. She is not even allowed to talk to her son, and since she made the huge mistake of transferring all her property in Khurram’s name, she has simply no value in Khurram’s house. Well, they both deserve every bit of the treatment they are getting!Ajji does get worried when she overhears Ashiya talking to someone on the phone. She realized that she really needs her mother’s time and love and she tells this to Maryam. Maryam also realizes her mistake and starts spending time with her, but Ashiya’s grudge for Maryam has been building for a long time now, and she misbehaves with her at her friend’s house when they ask about her father. Maryam really needs to talk to Ashiya about Zayaan soon before it’s too late! The girl playing Ashiya is performing very well in this show.
Zayaan will now take advantage of Faiza being out on a holiday and will meet Ashiya. He got so emotional after hearing her voice; what will be his reaction when he finally meets her! He really does not deserve to meet her daughter, but it was fate which made him meet her in the first place and now they will meet again for the second time as was shown in the preview of the next episode.
Maryam will also get to know that Ashiya lied to her by calling her friend. What will be her reaction when she gets to know that she is meeting Zayaan out of all people!
I am really looking forward to the next episode now! I had thought this would be the last episode, but now I think there are at least two more episodes left of this show.
Do share your opinion about the episode this week!
This week’s episode was full of surprises and focused on the consequences that each of Zayaan’s family members is facing for their deeds. Nusrat brought Ashiya home in the hope that she would control Zayaan through her and get him out of Faiza’s clutches, but her plan turned out to be a huge failure.
Zayaan got emotional when he saw Ashiya after such a long time (didn’t know he even had any paternal feelings left in him!) He even told Faiza not to interfere in this matter; but just then Maryam came and threatened to spill his secret and he had to unwillingly back off. Maryam is the only one who knew his involvement with the maid, and for Zayaan his reputation is more important than anything else so he immediately gave Ashiya back to Maryam.
Faiza did notice that something was amiss and immediately asked Zayaan why he gave Ashiya so easily when he did not want to part with her. The story that Zayaan made up to cover this simply made me roll my eyes. Zayaan apparently did not want to do more injustice with Maryam since he was already very guilty etc. etc. He does not have an ounce of guilt for what he has done! But the best part was his dialogue in the end which made me laugh out loud!
‘Mein Zindagi Bhar Kafara Ada Karunga Ke Meine Tumse Nahi Maryam Se Shaadi Ki’
Oh really, Zayaan! Zayaan’s regret would not be marrying Maryam instead of Faiza, but it would be leaving Maryam and marrying Faiza. He has become a mere puppet who does everything that she wishes. He has absolutely no say in anything that happens in the house. When the show moved forward 14 years, the conditions in the house had worsened. Nusrat was getting the treatment that she truly deserved and I did not feel bad for her at all. Afshah was still not allowed to visit the house without Faiza’s permission, and Faiza dominated Zayaan even more than before.
Maryam’s baddua had finally come true as nobody was truly happy in the house. Even after 14 years, Zayaan and Faiza were childless and Nusrat had lost her son who barely had time to visit her anymore.
Another tragedy came in Maryam’s life when another one of her family member passed away. After her mother’s death, she and Ajji were left alone and they raised Ashiya together. Maryam did face a lot of problems in the beginning but she managed to cope up and move on with her life. Ayeza Khan has done a marvelous job in this show. The scene where she goes to Zayaan’s house to get Ashiya back and was thrown out by Afshah and Nusrat was power packed. I had never seen Maryam acting so violently!
Like any child, Ashiya is also curious to know about her father and his family. Her questions always disturb Maryam who has not told her anything yet. Maybe it is time for Maryam to tell a censored version to Ashiya to satisfy her curiosity.
Maheen Rizvi has fully justified Faiza’s character and for me, this is her best performance so far. This is the first show I have watched her perform as one of the leads and she has proved what she is capable of. The direction of all the emotional scenes is simply outstanding, and the acting of the leads makes it even better. I do not think I need to praise Faysal Qureshi; he is always consistent with his acting skills. He acts to perfection and gives his 100% in every scene.
The next episode will most probably be the last episode. Judging from the preview of the next episode, Zayaan might contact Ashiya and they may keep this a secret.

The story further progressed in the episode this week. Finally, there is something for Maryam’s family to rejoice on after a long time. Everybody was happy when Bilal’s mother came to ask for Amna’s proposal once again, and the best part was that she was not interested in knowing the reason behind Maryam’s divorce, even when Maryam’s mother tried to explain the reason.
Maryam succeeded in making Amna agree for the haste marriage and the marriage finally happened with a lot of simplicity. Maryam was finally seen content and happy after a long time, and the depressing feel of the show vanished for a while. Bilal seems like an open minded and loving guy and Maryam was happy to see her sister married to the right person.
Faiza always manages to stay two steps ahead of both Afshah and Nusrat. Here Nusrat was planning to convince Zayaan to give Afshah her share in the property, and there the very clever and cunning Faiza had already convinced him to transfer all his property to her name. Afshah and Nusrat got extremely shocked to hear this news because none of them were expecting Zayaan to do such a thing without even informing them.
One of the best scenes of the episode was when Maryam goes to Zayaan house after she gets to know that Zayaan is the reason for her brother and father’s accident. We got to see the outburst of her feelings that she had stored inside of her for a long time. She had never wished anything bad for Zayaan even after what he had done to her, but this time she did not keep quiet and all her words came directly from her heart. It was truly a spectacular scene and Ayeza was the star of the episode. Her performance in this scene is definitely worth an applause!
The surprising part was that Zayaan kept quiet throughout which irked both Nusrat and Faiza. But what could he have said when all of Maryam’s accusation were true! A part of Zayaan is guilty and though he tries to push his conscience away but it keeps on creeping up from time to time. This is the main reason why he refused to take any sort of revenge from Maryam even when Faiza insisted. He did not give a nod to Nusrat’s plan either when she insisted to take Ashiya away from Maryam. I am loving this meek and helpless side of Zayaan. He deserves every bit of the treatment he gets from Faiza.
Zayaan is no longer in Nusrat’s control and Afshah gave her an idea to get the hold back on Zayaan. These two have not an ounce of humanity left in them. How can they possibly think of taking such a small child away from her mother? They made Maryam life pure hell when she was Zayaan’s wife, and even now they are not ready to leave her alone.
Just when Maryam had finally come to terms with the situation and things were getting better, she was faced with another huge problem. Maryam is not meek and submissive like before; now she knows how to stand up for herself. She would never let Zayaan take her most prized possession away from her. She still has the biggest card in her hand, and she can use it anytime to make Zayaan agree to whatever she wants. She is the only one who knows his secret and she would not think even once before revealing it if he does not give Ashiya back to her.
I thoroughly enjoyed the episode and there was not a single scene that I wanted to skip. Faysal Qureshi and Maheen Rizvi both were superb in their scenes too. The direction of this show has been brilliant from the start. Every scene is so brilliantly captured, and every minute detail is taken into account. I have always loved the background music of this show; it makes all the scenes so intense.
I am looking forward to see if Zayaan would give Ashiya back to Maryam or not. The next episode would definitely be worth looking forward to.
Do share your opinion about the episode; I would love to hear your views!
This week’s episode revolved around Maryam’s family and their reaction to the news of Maryam’s divorce. The pace was a bit slow, but overall I liked the episode. This show is going to end soon and I am waiting to see what will happen with Zayaan in the end. The ending of such stories is always my favorite part.
I like the way Maryam has remained strong for her family and did not drown in her grief. I love this headstrong Maryam who knows how to deal with the situation and is not crying at her fate. I loved the scene where she goes to to her father and brother’s grave and share all her feelings with them.
Amna’s reaction when she saw the divorce papers looked a bit overdone to me, and a bit fake too. Anum Aqeel has done a nice job in this show, but she does tend to overact in her scenes a bit. We have always seen her full of life character in this show, and it was nice to see the other side of her. She was affected the most by her father and Sultan’s death, the rest of the family members had come to terms with the situation, but Amna is the only one who is having a difficult time moving on. She was not ready to listen to anything regarding her marriage even when Maryam tried to convince her.
Bilal seems like a very sensible guy to me and a perfect person for Amna. Even after the news of Maryam’s divorce got out, he and his family did back out of the rishta like Maryam and her mother feared. Maryam was worried that Amna’s life would get affected because of her, but she finally heaved a sigh of relief when Bilal and his family urged to carry on with the rishta and wanted to get the marriage done as soon as possible.
Maryam’s problems seem to be increasing by the day, all thanks to Zayaan. Her mother had a stroke after she got to know about the divorce. Maryam feared a reaction like this, and this is why she did not want to tell her mother anything. But how long could she have hidden the truth from her mother, she would have gotten to know one day. Her mother has already been through a very big tragedy and could not bear to see Maryam’s life ruined like this.
Faiza is giving a very tough time to both Afshah and Nusrat. Afshah thought that if she would complain to Khurram about Faiza, he would do something about it. But she forgot how much Khurram loves Faiza, and there was a time when he was ready to divorce her for his sister. Faiza overhears everything and tells Khurram to answer Afshah, and he gave a very stern answer to her. Nusrat needs to understand that Faiza is not Maryam and she would not stand any kind of back biting to Zayaan about her, and clearly told her to say everything on her face instead of brainwashing Zayaan behind her back. If Maryam had said something like this, then Zayaan would have been furious with her but in Faiza’s case, he did not say a word.
The preview of the next episode looks very interesting. Why is Nusrat suddenly interested in Ashiya? They did not pay heed to her at all before, then why now? There will also be a big confrontation between Zayaan and Maryam worth looking forward to in the next episode.
The show might be nearing towards its end but it is getting more interesting by the week. This episode revolved around Maryam’s reaction to Faiza and Zayaan’s marriage. Ayeza Khan simply stole the stole with her flawless acting, and even Maheen Rizvi did a fantastic job in this episode.
It has just been a day and Faiza has already started to show her true face. Nusrat’s expression when Faiza told her ‘Mein Apni Marzi Ki Malik Hoon’ was definitely worth watching! I did not feel bad for her one bit, as she got the same treatment that she had given to Maryam, and made her life a living hell in the house. Faiza is slowly taking away Zayaan from every member of the house, and now everything happens the way she wants.
Zayaan has become a mere puppet in her hand and does everything that she says. This was clearly seen when Afshah came to Zayaan’s house, and since Faiza did not want her to be there, she made sure she was gone from the house. Zayaan did not say a word and simply dropped Afshah to her house. Nusrat and Afshah were the ones who wanted Faiza and Zayaan to get married in the first place, and now they are paying the price for their wrong choice. This is just the beginning; Faiza is going to give a tougher time to both of them. Soon they will realize Maryam’s importance! Well, that’s my favorite part of any story; that is when the karma walks in and gives oppressors a reality check.
The scene where Maryam just looks at all her clothes thrown on the floor including her wedding dress and remembers her parents was one of my favorite scenes in the episode. Ayeza spoke volumes just through her expressions without a single dialogue and that’s a big feat in itself.
Zayaan’s insensitivity has reached heights now. He should have had the decency to at least inform Maryam about Faiza and his wedding. The way Faiza announced ‘Ab Yeh Mere Ghar Hai’ in front of Maryam and informed her about the marriage was just not the way Maryam should have gotten to know about the marriage. Maryam was thinking ‘Kitne Pathar Dil Hai Ap Zayaan’ just because he did not even contact her once after the tragedy that befell her, but the case here was far worse. He did not even care that she was going through the difficult phase of her life and gave her the biggest shock of her life.
Another scene which was brilliantly directed and executed by the actors was the one in which Maryam goes to Zayaan to get answers to her questions, and all she gets is the divorce papers. I initially thought that Zayaan would not be able to handle Faiza’s dominating attitude but it seems that he has no problem fulfilling all her demands. Maybe because he has absolutely no choice now?
So finally, Zayaan did think about Ashiya! At least he thought about her future, but not for long because Faiza did not like him thinking about the past, and she was not ready to allow Ashiya to be in her house. How can Zayaan suddenly turn so submissive? This is definitely out of his character to act in this way.
All of Maryam scenes with her family were full of emotions and I really liked her heart-to-heart conversations with Amna and Ajji. The way she hid the truth from her family about the divorce was simply unbelievable. Nobody could be that strong! They will get to know soon according to the preview for the next episode.
The next episode is definitely worth looking forward too!
This episode completely revolved around the end of Maryam’s engagement to Umair so we can say it was more of a filler episode. The whole episode was a drag and the real story is still yet to start. Ayeza Khan gave a superb performance in this episode as she managed to express all the emotions so well. Her character Maryam is that of a simple girl with dreams like every other girl and the huge shock she got by seeing Umair with another girl just a few days before her marriage shattered her dreams. It was not only a very hard time for Maryam but also for her parents. Maryam’s mother was continuously worried about Maryam’s future and what people would say about the broken engagement just a few days before the wedding. Her siblings and father were more understanding and stood by her when she took the decision of ending the engagement.
Umair went to Maryam’s house to apologize on his mother’s behest and cleared the air by telling them that Saira was just a colleague and he was just helping her out as she was in a huge problem. Maryam’s parents accepted his apology and asked Maryam for her opinion but Maryam did not want to get married to Umair after all that had happened. I loved the way her father supported her decision and her brother Sultan and Amna tried their best to console Maryam. I just loved the sister brother bonding between Amna, Maryam and Sultan. Amna’s description of Maryam’s dulha and her on own was hilarious! Amna always manages to bring a smile to her sisters’ face no matter how serious the situation is. The actor and actress playing Sultan and Amna are doing a superb job!
So we finally got to know how Zayaan and Maryam will meet. Zayaan is working on an educational program to reduce illiteracy free of cost and he is contacting different school and teachers to gather their support in his mission. Maryam, being a teacher, volunteered for this social work for two reasons: First, she wanted to get as busy as possible so that she can forget about her recent engagement fiasco and second she wanted to do the social work to help people. They ended the episode on a cliff hanger as the episode ended just when Maryam and Zayaan were about to meet for the first time! Now I am really looking forward to the next episode to see what happens next!
One thing that irked me a lot in the episode is Maryam’s mothers’ reaction to Maryam’s decision to end her engagement. I understand that she is a mother and she does not like it when people talk about Maryam but she needed to understand that even if Maryam got married to Umair, she would have never been happy with him. Maryam’s mother got pretty upset with Maryam when a neighbor came to her place and told her that they should not have ended the engagement as Mariam would be blamed for everything. According to the neighbor, it did not matter if Umair was involved with another woman as it is something very common in the society and Maryam should have compromised! I was totally dumbstruck when she said this. What kind of advice is this? After hearing this, Maryam’s mother became angry at Maryam and Maryam finally had to tell her that Umair had called her and told her himself that he would have not left Saira even after their marriage. Her mother then finally realized that everything had happened for the better. Thankgod!
I do not understand one thing, why does Zayaan dislike Faiza so much? There must be a reason why he is refusing to get married to her. Zayaan left Afsha’s house just because Faiza also came there. Faiza seems crazy about Zayaan but Zayaan does not seem interested in her at all and wants to avoid her at any cost. Hopefully, we will get to know the reason in the upcoming episodes. Afsha and his mother are still forcing him to get married to Faiza and his mother even told him that she is taking his proposal for Faiza whether he agrees or not! Afsha is constantly being pressurized by her husband to make Zayaan agree to the marriage.
Now I am waiting for the actual story to finally start and we will get to see more twists in the upcoming episodes. So stay tuned!
This week’s episode was fully loaded with emotions and I was totally hooked till the end as one twist came after the other. It was already revealed in the promos that the accident would result in the death of two important members of Maryam’s family. The scene where Zayaan takes Maryam to her house was brilliantly acted out by all the family members, especially Ayeza Khan. The initial shock and then the breakdown were brilliantly executed by Ayeza. Hats off to her!
After watching the preview last week, I knew that Zayaan’s ‘solution’ to the problem would be to marry Faiza and he finally expressed his desire to marry her. What Zayaan was not expecting was Faiza’s reluctance to marry him, he thought that she would agree instantly but he was in for a shock. Faiza asked time to think about this and this made Zayaan anxious and worried. He did not even think once about Maryam and the trauma she had just gone through. He said ‘De Dunga Maryam Ko Taluq’ like it was no big deal. Oh I just pity his selfish thinking!
Faiza was purposely making Zaayan wait as she herself said ‘The ball is in my court now’ and I agree the ball is really in her court now. She was taking revenge from Zayaan for what he had done to her by taking her sweet time to say yes. It was obvious that she had no intention to say no to Zayaan’s offer.
“Tumhe Haasil Karne Ke Liyeah Bohat Mehnat Ki Hai, Yeh Mauka Haat Se Nahi Jaane Dungi”
She was just appeasing her bruised ego which had suffered a lot because of Zayan and I actually enjoyed Zayaan’s anxiety and impatience. He had done wrong with Faiza by jilting her on their Mehndi and I was glad she was getting back at him now. Now he needed her to be in his life and not the other way round.
Maryam had a tiny ray of hope that Zayaan’s attitude would change after the huge incident that happened in her life, but she was again left disappointed. He did not contact her even once after the incident as he was busy trying to make Faiza agree for the wedding.
Nusrat finally showed a bit of humanity when she immediately informed Zayaan about the death in Maryam’s family. She actually felt sympathy for Maryam for the first time though she did not say anything but it was evident from her face. Unfortunately, it did not last for long as soon as she overheard Zayan proposing Faiza she was on top of the world. Nusrat and Afshah both were busy gloating about this and were convinced that Faiza would never say no to this proposal. I feel that Zayaan and Nusrat should have at least thought about Aashiya and her future. Only Afshah mentioned her, Nusrat and Zayaan did not pay heed to her at all.
“Ab To Tum Mere Bohat Saare Roop Dekhoge”
This dialogue spoken by Faiza to Zayaan after their marriage brought a huge grin to my house. Zayaan will finally see Faiza’s true face and she is surely going to give him a tough time. Zayaan is used to a submissive wife like Maryam and he would never be able to bear Faiza’s dominating attitude because it will bruise his huge male ego.
Lastly, I really liked the message this show gave to women. Many women suffer from Breast Cancer and they usually ignore their illness until the very end and are diagnosed in the last stages of their disease, when it is impossible to treat.
Maryam and her family were happy to hear that she had fought cancer and now her reports were all clear. Maryam will surely get a huge shock in the next episode when she finds out about Zayaan and Faiza’s marriage.
I am looking forward to see what will happen next!
