She further added that she got pregnant again after five months and had a miscarriage again followed by the third one soon.

“After three miscarriages, I was blessed with a beautiful daughter and I was super happy to have my second daughter, people were still praying for the miraculous delivery of a son but I was excited on the birth of my daughter”, said Amna Malik. Shaista Zaid is a brilliant Pakistani television news caster and an educationist. She started her news casting journey in 1971. Shaista Zaid retired from PTV in 2012, currently. She has two sons who are settled in their lives. Recently, the famous host Moneeza Hashmi has posted one of her old and memorable interview with famous news caster Shaista Zaid. In the memorable interview, Shaista Zaid talked about joining PTV as an English news caster. She also opened up about her struggles with cancer.

Talking about joining PTV as an English news caster, Shaista Zaid said, “I used to do debates in college so I had that basic confidence, I saw a woman reading the news on television which gave me motivation and I went for an audition, they selected me, they sent me for basic training for a week and then I just started reading news, it took me time to get rid of my debating style. I tried to speak in a very normal style. I never followed anyone, I read the news in a simple and understandable manner”. She further said that she never tried to opt fake accent.

Talking about being diagnosed with cancer, Shaista Zaid said, “I was upset, I won’t say that it didn’t upset me, I thought everything was finished but then I realized that Allah has blessed me with all the achievements and blessings,I acknowledged my blessings, I braced myself and accepted this difficult time. I taught myself to go through it. It was a difficult time, the treatment was difficult, but you can do if you have a strong family support. Talking further about her disease, she said, “I blocked it out, I didn’t read anything regarding it, usually people start getting information about the disease but I didn’t do that”.
