Ishrat Made In China came out on 3rd March 2022 after another pause in cinema releases. The film has Mohib Mirza, Sanam Saeed, HSY and Sara Loren in pivotal roles while Mohib Mirza has also directed the film.
The film has not done well at the box office since its release and lack of promotions has been termed as one reason for the failure. Ishrat Made In China did not have any specially organized promotional tours and the songs were not released in a promotional way either.
Mohib Mirza and Sanam Saeed appeared on Something Haute and Mohib reveled the reason behind lack of promotions. He told that his father passed away days after he announced his film’s release date. He had to leave for USA where he wrapped everything up and brought his mother back who was living with his sister at that time. This tragedy did not allow him enough time to line up a promotional tour:

In the drama serial Doraha this divorce happened instantly after the husband was sick and tired of constant fights. As is evident, some of the characters were quite happy with this development and after uttering these three ugly words, the husband was more in shock – this is apparently a common occurrence in our dramas.
Meri Zaat Zara-e-Benishan
This drama was definitely a masterpiece in many ways but the divorce given in it was just as unpleasant and unsettling as the rest of the dramas. After the wife is not able to prove her ‘innocence’ the husband gives her a divorce in front of the entire family.
Khud Parast
In the drama serial, Khud Parast divorce was shown as a punishment. It was sudden and just as unpleasant as all the others irrespective of the background and consequences.
Mann Mayal
The divorce scene in Mann Mayal was just as ridiculous as many of the other scenarios in this drama. Mannu pleaded even after she was divorced and even after living a terrible life with this man she acted as she had just lost the best thing that happened to her.

The divorce in Nazr-e-Bad was shown so casually that it was almost unbelievable. Even couples who are dating must take their relationship more seriously than married couples in Pakistani dramas.

Waseem Abbas has apparently divorced his on-screen wives in the most unpleasant manner more than once. He is an expert at shooting such scenes and is seen shouting these words in dramas as if it is no big deal.

In Khasara also the viewers saw a lovable husband uttering these three words after he sees his wife hugging his best friend and is convinced she no longer wants to live with her.

This divorce was an outcome of proper planning and like everything else shown in Jhooti, this one too was nothing more than a joke for the main protagonist. Once again showing such a scene was used to over-dramatize and sensationalize the issue.

Ghissi Pitti Mohabbat showed divorce over the phone and that was that the marriage was done and dusted!

Kashf is another drama serial which showed how a person who was otherwise level-headed was so deluded that he ended up giving divorce verbally without thinking twice.

Kahin Deep Jalay was another drama that ended with one of the negative central characters getting a very public divorce!

In order to save his sister from committing suicide, the brother divorced his wife. This divorce was the most shocking and definitely one that set the wrong precedent because of the way it was dramatized.

The heroine in Dil Mom ka Diya Ulfat wanted the divorce but even then watching a decent man utter those words in a public place wasn’t something that should have been shown.

This was another ridiculous scenario in which the bride is divorced on her wedding night because the husband feels that she does not want to live with him! Why marry someone if you will eventually divorce them?

This is another Pakistani drama that showed how the husband divorced his wife on the night of their wedding having absolutely no regard for her or their relationship.

Mohabbat Tujhe Alvida took this ridiculous divorce scenario to another level by showing the husband divorcing not one but both the wives but guess what he was only ‘daydreaming’!!!

Mohabbatein Chahatein’s first episode ended with these three words being uttered by the husband in the middle of a party. And that is how a seemingly troubled marriage ended in the most unpleasant way right in the beginning. This goes to show that starting dramas with a divorce is becoming just as much of a ‘trend’ as ending dramas with them.
In most of these dramas, divorce was used as a weapon, as a means to punish the wives. That is the sad reality of divorce in Pakistani dramas. Saboor Aly has said that I never felt that my mother has ever left me. She said I always feel her around me. Saboor talking about drama serial Fitrat mentioned that “Fitrat was not planned to be aired daily. It consisted of only 40 to 50 episodes, but when we got a good response it was decided to be aired daily. The good thing is that the audience love to watch it on daily basis because every episode has a twist. I didn’t received such amazing response before this project.”
“We all were just doing our work. We have no idea that we will get such response. My siblings never watched any of my drama, but Fitrat was that one project which my whole family is watching. My brother was saying me that what are you doing and how could you do this? Sajal told me that she met a fan on airport who told her that she is watching Fitrat, so I felt that it’s an achievement for me.”, added Saboor.
Further she said that “I loved the OST of Fitrat. Now if I get angry, everyone starts saying that don’t become Fariya with us.”

The Yaqeen Ka Safar duo Sajal Aly and Ahad Raza Mir also shipped by fans as “Sahad” won more than just hearts with their performances, the couple won big in the Hum Awards held three days prior on the night of 28th July in Toronto.
The onscreen couple bagged the Best Couple award as well as Best Actor and Best Actress accolades.
Sajal’s sister, Saboor Aly, took to Instagram to share a beautiful picture of the pair, holding their trophies. She also a penned heartfelt note on the duo’s journey.
The older of the two sisters penned,
“This is just not an adorable picture for me; it is a reminder for me as to how two people can achieve greatness together,”
She continued,
“From the moment Sajal started working with Ahad in their first project, I knew that these two will create a great chemistry on screen as Ahad was just as hardworking as my sister; these awards are a proof of that,”

Faysal Quraishi said, “it is really painful for me to announce this, it’s even more painful for Sohail Javed as it was his baby project, here we are officially announcing that we are shelving the film “Sorry a Love Story”, I thank alot of my friends who constantly supported me in this venture, now we won’t make this film”. He further said that there were a few people who didn’t want it to be made and did a lot of conspiracies about film. He said that there were many other issues, situations and factors due to which they shelved the film. He also said that after Covid markets are also not the same so they decided to shelf the film, keeping all the hurdles and scenarios in mind.
