Nida Yasir and Yasir Nawaz are a celebrity couple who have individually successful careers of their own and they own a joint production that has made some big films. The duo is also known for being relatable and they always share their struggles with the world and how they became successful through hard work. The couple is parents to three kids and they have brought them up in a beautiful manner.

Nida was a guest on Masarrat Misbah’s show and talked about how she brought up their kids. She shared that she always put emphasis on putting a bed time curfew for the kids. That is how they are always disciplined and she made them do all their activities in the morning. She always put her kids to bed at 9.30 and this made them respect schedules. She also spoke about how she and Yasir kept the older kids away from the showbiz life so they can have a sense of normalcy. They are not that strict with Balaaj but they still kept their children at a distance from this glamorous life.

Nida also shared how she has strived to keep the rich-kids attitude out of her children. Even if they have a car at home, she makes her kids use taxi rides or bike rides so they know that they have to strive for something in life. She is married to ace actor and director Yasir Nawaz and they have three children who are studying.

Today, Nida Yasir’s topic of discussion in GMP was ‘Cheating’. In the show, she shared her experience of cheating during the annual exams and class test.

Talking about it, Nida Yasir said, “I did a very stupid act. In our Pakistan Studies class test, I wrote a very long cheating note, but I couldn’t use it because the teacher was standing right next to me. In the confusion, I accidentally placed the cheating note inside my test copy. The teacher found it and showed it to the whole class and also said, ‘You are so stupid, don’t even know how to cheat’.

She further added, “Then again, during the Pakistan Studies exam, we were given guess questions to prepare, which we memorized. Unfortunately, those questions didn’t appear in the exam. I don’t know what happened to me, I went outside, took my five-year past papers book inside, and tried to use it. The teacher caught me again, scolded me for such an open attempt at cheating, and didn’t let me continue. I ended up writing whatever I knew.” Here is the link to the video:

Fans didn’t appreciate Nida Yasir’s story about cheating. One fan wrote, “The way she’s admitting to making cheating notes reflects poorly on Pakistan’s education system.” Another commented, “The content of this show is declining day by day; it’s becoming repetitive.” A third stated, “Shame on Nida Yasir for openly talking about cheating in examinations.” Yet another said, “Nida keeps calling the same old guests to share her ridiculous stories.”

Gul Plaza was a popular shopping complex in Karachi that was built in the early eighties. The shopping complex was known for bulk selling and purchasing. It was a household name among the people of Karachi who used to buy goods for their newly built houses, dowries, and other items related to weddings and events. There were more than 1200 shops in the plaza. On Saturday, at around 10:10 pm, a fire broke out at the shopping mall, as a result of which the shopping area was completely burnt and more than 150 people lost their lives.

Today, Nida Yasir conducted her show with Gul Plaza shop owners. During the show, she shared her personal experience of visiting Gul Plaza.

Talking about it, Nida Yasir said, “Last week, before the fire broke out at Gul Plaza, I went there to buy a coffee machine. I remember going to each floor and visiting several kitchen shops for my coffee machine. Seeing all those faces later on the media felt very weird and hurtful to me because they all seemed so familiar to me because of my, as I had just visited them recently. Not only this, I used to visit Gul Plaza quite often. I bought all my set’s equipment from there. Whenever I needed something for my set or my house, I would wear a mask and go to Gul Plaza. It had everything related to kitchens, crockery, decorations, and bedsheets. We also felt very comfortable shopping there.” Here is the link to the video:

Nida on her show today shared the response of people about the ailment of Nida Yasir and her family. Nida started crying while talking about the messages that were sent by the haters. Nida shared:

“My Instagram, messages were flooded with prayers but many people gashed us as well, people said government has paid them, this is a drama, they used to work thats why they got affected, all the fraternity member, each and every person called and sent prayers and made us feel that we are not alone and because of these prayers we have now recovered.”
