She further said that Moammar Rana has fans who will come to support him and will also watch his movie Baap, which is currently in the cinemas. Here is the link to the video:
Meera has recently signed a contract with a Lahore based theater director for four dramas. Meera’s first Theater drama will air on Eid-ul-Fitr, it will be titled “Welcome Meera”. Talking to a group of rather noisy journos who would chuckle every now and then throughout the conference, Meera stated in an emotional manner, “My house is not a shelter home, it is my house, I live in it. However, she had a clash with some journalists later, she left the conference leaving her fathers and fellows behind.
Actress Meera has always managed to be in limelight, sometimes for her exceptional English skills and sometimes for the scandals which comes as a package with stardom. While Pakistan’s film industry seems to have taken new routes in the success journey, Meera is still found stuck in her old English-Urdu controversy.
The actress stated while talking to media that she loves her national language and hates to speak English at all. Neither will she ever be planning to learn English nor will she be speaking it unless it is necessary.
See the video here:
It was previously heard that Meera had been doing an English course after being disheartened from the fun which was raised using her name and accent.
There are a couple of celebrities who are weak in this subject but are still cherished for their actual talent, which is acting in this case. Do you really think that language at any level really makes a difference in a career as that of acting?
Let us discuss it then, please feel free to share your opinion. J

She has also worked in dramas like Main Sitara. Meera has appeared in Indian films as well, including Nazar. She is now making her comeback with the feature film Psycho, scheduled to be released on Eid ul Adha. She was previously seen in Baaji, which was a box office hit.
Recently, Meera appeared on Rehan Tariq’s podcast to promote her upcoming release Psycho. During the conversation, she spoke about her director and co-actor Shaan Shahid, calling him a bigger star than SRK.
Replying to the question, “Who is the Shahrukh Khan of Pakistan?” Meera said, “Shaan Shahid is the Shahrukh Khan of Pakistan; he is even a bigger actor than SRK. He is a great actor, an excellent director, and a brilliant writer. He makes you understand things with ease. He is a great teacher and guides actors well. His focus is unmatched. If I have to choose between the two, I will surely prefer Shaan over SRK. Also, why are you talking about India? We should not indulge in debates about Indian stars; we should be proud of our own industry.” Here is the link to the video:

Pakistani filmstar Meera, certainly knows how to stay in the news. Recently the actress underwent a surgery in Dubai and now, she’s back making headlines after her illness. The actress was spotted chilling around in Dubai, partying with the hot Bollywood starlet, Jacqueline Fernandez at a fashion show.

Meera Jee was spotted enjoying the after party in Dubai alongside her friends and Jacqueline Fernandez. The two had been attending the Splash Fashion Show alongside Raza Baig and other big wigs of the fashion industry in Dubai.
The “White” themed party was a hit amongst its stars and guests, which included the creme de la creme from the entire Dubai and fashion industry.
But it has definitely left us wondering on a number of accounts. Pakistani and Indian celebs were seen mingling with each other forgetting all the political tensions amidst the borders pertaining to Kashmir. Do we raise the Kashmir issue only on the social media and keep it aside conveniently when its time to party?
Actress Meera needs no introduction as she has been part of the industry for quite a long time. With her brilliant performances, she has managed to win the hearts of people.
Meera has worked in several Pakistani films including Baaji, Kasak, Nazar, Jackpot, Parey Hut Love, and many more.
Meera is close with her family especially her mother. Recently, she celebrated her mother’s birthday at home.
Meera shared pictures and videos from her mother’s birthday and wrote, “Happy birthday dear mom she was born at first January.”
Pakistani star Meera is yet again making headlines. According to rumours doing rounds, Meera was barred from entering Gaddafi Stadium since she wasn’t carrying tickets for the event. However, she has finally responded to rumours that claimed she was stopped from attending last night’s PSL final in Lahore and had to settle for watching the match at home as she was denied entry after all her efforts!
According to Meera, she was stopped by the police from entering the Gaddafi Stadium on Sunday. “I had not purchased the tickets myself, yes, because I had just returned from Dubai and wasn’t feeling well. In fact, I spent the day getting a body massage to feel better,” she told The Express Tribune. “But I came to the stadium because my sponsors wanted me to and for the sake of my fans who were waiting there for me. My sponsors had arranged V-VIP tickets but they were inside Gaddafi stadium and I was outside.”
Meera continued, “The issue was that the tickets were with the financiers. When I got to the stadium, the police officials present stopped me and asked me to show them my tickets. Thankfully, my sponsors came out and took me inside with them. I watched the match live from the V-VIP lounge.”
The controversy queen Meera Jee is making the headlines again and that too, for all wrong reasons. Merely a week or so after the PSL finale issue, the superstar has found herself in yet another controversy, this time with the Punjab Institute of Language, Arts and Culture (PILAC).
Reported by The Express Tribune, as per Meera’s statements, the institute owes her Rs25,000 for attending the recent Spring Festival in Lahore. However, PILAC officials claim that they had invited the celebrities simply for them to honour the Festival and Meera is the only one to demand money. The latter apparently made sure to inform the media officials present at the event that she was not being paid due to which, PILAC director Dr Sugra Sadaf was forced to hand her Rs25,000.
Speaking to The Express Tribune, Meera claimed that she is facing unemployment and is out of business. “All the artists here in Lahore, including me, are currently in a very tough spot. There is hardly any work to be done and I at least want to speak with the Chief Minister to discuss my situation with him in person. I want to re-start my showbiz career and produce a film but I don’t have the money to do so. Therefore, I want to request the CM to help me.”
According to Meera, it is common for event organisers in Lahore to reap benefits from celebrities and not pay up. “They make huge amounts of money but never pay us any of it. I don’t have any personal issues with the PILAC administration. Dr Sugra paid me from her own pocket and realising my troubles, has asked me to perform on March 17 as well, in return for Rs100, 000.”
Meera continued, “For the last two years, I have been travelling to different places for work and just returned to Lahore, which is in a crunch in terms of money and work. I want to go out and search for something to do but it’s painful since I don’t have money to purchase tickets either. How will I manage without money?”
“I am also planning on consulting with scholar Moulana Tariq Jamil to get some religious guidance to help me through this difficult time,” added Meera. “How else will I manage when there is no work for me? The Punjab government should take notice of my situation seriously.”
If rumors are to be believed, then the actress has also started selling off her prized possessions, she recently sold her car in order to acquire some funds for a film’s music recording.
With all these recent revelations, one can only wonder whether her unemployment stance is for real, since she’s known for pulling off publicity stunts to seek attention.
Meera is an actress and film star who started her journey more than 2 decades ago. She has starred in hundreds of films and she also worked on television. For years, she has remained relevant due to her scandals and she has now once again been marred in a controversy after her recent interview with Irshad Bhatti.
There was a larger debate after the interview went on air. People were debating how Meera is an artist and a woman and she should be respected and given space like other women artists. People stood by her and criticized Irshad Bhatti for his offensive attitude towards her.
Meera has now spoken to Haroon Rashid of BBC Asian Network while promoting her film Psycho. She said that yes she wants to have more respect and she deserves love of the audience as well. She agreed with Haroon that she is a working woman who came into the field to support her family and she did it in every way that she could.
The internet is sending love to both Haroon and Meera. One user wrote, “I always loved Meera. She is charming.” Another added, “Thankyou Haroon for being the most sane journalist.” One said, “Both of them are graceful.” Here is the reaction:

Well our Superstar Meera Ji is working on another film and she, along with our Superstar Saleem Sheikh is in USA for their new movie. Her film Baji did great at box office and was widely accepted by audiances and the film makers just loved it so there is no surprise for us that she is signing more projects because she is performance queen. Her craft is too perfect to handle for every actor that we have already experienced in Baaji The Film.
They spilled the beans about their new project on their instagram and continously sharing pictures about it. It seems that the success of Baji Film really paved a way for Meera ji and we also wanted to see Cheif Sahab movie’s couple together. Its been a while we haven’t seen Saleem sheikh in the films. He is just seen either as producer or actor in very few Lahore based drama productions.
It a good news that they are coming together that too on big screen. Let’s see what film would it be about and when it is going to be started to shoot.
We wish both stars Goodluck and a lot of success as fans are desperately waiting for good cinema and actors who once were part of the glory of Cinema.
Here are the pictures from their instagram for all of you.
Meera and Iffat Omar have been indulged in ugly debate over age limit and shelf life of actor In which Meera was of the view that there is no shelf life of an actor, whereas Iffat Omar was of the view that I am not talking about Actor, I am talking about Heroine on which Meera said then Angelina Julie and Mahira should stay at home, mostly our actresses in sub-continent are mature why are they working? , now times have changed and age doesn’t matter and filmmakers are ready to cast mature actors. Why do our people like Hollywood movies?
Iffat said, “because of content ” but Meera was of the view that no because they are not into these age complexes.
Then Iffat Omar came to Saqib malik and asked who would you cast if you will have a certain sketch of a character on your mind on which he said, “World has changed and now there are characters written for all ages we can give example of Baji obviously ”
Iffat said, “no, this is a problem for me whenever I post my pictures people comment that you too old for this, etc so it bothers me.
Then Meera said in a lighter mood that,” I urge you all you aren’t allowed to say anything about age to Iffat Omar then Iffat said not only me but all the girls.
Meera urged to all girls that please don’t say things on age.
Then Iffat came directly to the question that was bothering her for so long and it was obviously about age. She said Meera I am 47 and soon will be turning 48 now minus the years from it and tell how old are you?
Meera said, my age on google…
No! Not of google’s one I want the number, she isn’t giving me the number.
Meera replied that I want to tell the girls admirers and the fans that Age and number don’t need to be told, hide it and I am the iconic Meera Ji and it is alright if you hide your age.
Saqib Malik also came to favor Meera and said why is age important.
Do let us know what did you find out of it, Meera Ji hiding age or doing lead, also hiding age was that big a crime? wasn’t it ignored if she didn’t believe in telling it? Also, Meera was of the view that in Subcontinent all lead actresses are 35 plus that proves the time has changed and actors and actresses do stay long. Don’t you think hosts and anchors need to be neutral and unbiased and they should not impose their thoughts and ideologies on others like the guests and viewers?
Besides this, the second part of the show was calm at the part of the host and things seemed to have settled down as Iffat asked them to come again which was accepted by the guests.
Do let us know such shows need to be aired or there should be a line that personals should not be asked.
We have posted both videos the full part and the specific debate of the show.

Mir Hadi and Khaani’s relationship throughout the drama has been the highlight of every episode. Although these two were never on good terms in the drama but there were times when they were happy with each other even through it was only in Haadi’s imagination!
Here are few of the most romantic scenes from drama serial Khaani.
Ohkay so, even though I am really happy with the ending that Meer Abru got, like it was a beautiful ending but I am still writing this review with a heavy heart. I so wish it hadn’t ended. It is like after ages we got to see a quality drama which had so much to offer. Meer Abru will remain one of my favorite dramas & I am definitely going to watch it again. I will congratulate the entire team of Meer Abru for the success of this drama & most importantly for making such a brilliant drama. If I had to describe the entire journey & drama of Meer Abru in one word, I’d simply say it was ‘perfect’ & yes, I am sad that this drama has ended.
Grab Your Tissues Please:
So, now everyone from Murad family was adamant to get Meer & Abru married. Jamal thought they both had a great understanding & that they both were compatible with each other. It was interesting that all this while, it were only Saira & then Zaibi who knew that Meer loved Abru but the rest of the family members didn’t know. Jamal only suggested their marriage because he felt Meer would make a good husband to Abru, who was Saim’s widow. Jamal had seen the way Meer cared for Abru but he didn’t once feel that may be Meer was in love with her. Abru did reject the proposal but then it did weigh her heart down, she couldn’t really get over Meer. Yes, she was loyal to Saim but then Meer was always going to be her first love.
Maha came as a blessing for Abru. When she entered the picture before, she tried to ruin everything that Abru had but now, she was trying to do the damage control because she knew she was in the wrong. Haya & Waleed apologized to Abru & that was one emotional scene, especially when Waleed handed over his baby to Abru. It was beautiful how everyone slowly & steadily started seeing the good in Abru & they realized that she never wished ill for anyone, rather she herself was a victim of scheming & plotting. Just when Haya said that she was unforgivable, I couldn’t stop nodding my head but that is one thing I still stand by, she shouldn’t have gotten away so easily but then it is good that things wrapped up decently without much drama anyways.
Meer said yes to Maha’s proposal. At that point I did feel may be Saira was suggesting this to rekindle Abru’s feelings for Meer but she wasn’t the one who planned this. Saira eagerly wanted Meer to settle down & move on from the one-sided love that he had for Abru. I loved the way Sana called Meer immediately to confirm the news & then told him that she needed some time to convince Abru. That was the moment when Abru started feeling a little uneasy. That was the moment she recalled everything that both she & Meer had shared. Abru couldn’t take her mind off the things Meer had said to her, the way he confessed his love to her & the way he promised to be by her side. Abru knew it was too late & that was the first time she actually admitted that the news of Meer & Maha’s Nikkah made her lose hope.
Meer was struggling, he knew what was happening was wrong but then he also knew that this was the only way to prove himself yet again that he never wished ill or didn’t want to snatch Abru by planning or plotting. Meer just gave up trying & this is why he told Waleed that Abru hated him, therefore he stood no chance. It was nice to see Waleed being a voice of reason for once, I wish they had shown his transition in a detailed manner, like it was only shown that the birth of his son did bring some change in him but what actually opened his eyes was Maha’s confession. However, they should’ve shown him reflecting on his own a bit too, but then he did what was right, so it’s all good!
Then came the showdown, Zaibi once again tried to tarnish Abru’s reputation but she was hit with reality checks. The best two things that happened in that scene was Meer refusing to get married to Maha & then Abru speaking up for herself for the first time. I loved the fact that they just didn’t show that circumstances turned into Meer & Abru’s favor & without saying anything they were brought together. Meer’s refusal showed it to Abru that he just couldn’t do that & he couldn’t live without her. Abru speaking up to Zaibi was again much needed because it showed that Abru was done taking the blame for things she never was responsible for. Abru had to speak up & I am so glad she did. This is why I have always loved Abru’s character, even though things were not in her favor for the longest time but she never once was a bechari, rather she kept on dealing with everything by putting up a brave face. It was beautifully shown that because Abru never did anybody wrong, things slowly & steadily started shaping up in her favor. Abru’s journey was a perfect example of doing good & the good following you, this is what summed up her journey. Waleed & Maha did take the responsibility for putting up an act but then I am glad they weren’t the ones who overshadowed it, rather it was made clear that this time around, both Meer & Abru took charge of the situation. Zaibi got away with everything a bit too easily, like she wasn’t humiliated but it’s all well when it ends well but I so wanted Jamal Uncle to give her a piece of his mind at least once but chalo, may be he pitied her for being miserable.
So, finally came the proposal, it was beautiful how before saying anything, Meer remembered Saim & gave Abru his reference, it was like even though Saim was not a part of their lives anymore but he had never left. I can not begin to explain how beautiful everything was & how perfect their minute expressions were. By the way, I do sob a little every now & then while watching different dramas but with this one, I was bawling my eyes out & had to rely on tissues, it just showed me that I was soooo in love with all these characters. I even cried when Waleed told Zaibi to stop & she apologized to Abru, like everything was just so beautiful. Abru & Meer’s teary eyes was just too much to handle. I loveeeeeeed every bit of this drama & then the last episode & then the last scene!!!
Closing Thoughts – Will Always Be My Favorite:
Meer Abru was such a beautiful journey. I am falling short of words & don’t really know where to begin but I will try. Firstly the best best best thing about Meer Abru was the pace, all the episodes were so happening & always covered one chapter of their lives. I wish all our dramas take lead from Meer Abru, like now that it has ended, I didn’t want it to end, this is how good this drama was. I never once felt bored rather I found myself waiting for the episodes every week. The characters were brilliant too, every character had so much to offer & they all were such dynamic & complete personalities. All the characters contributed in making this drama a complete package. Also, both the generations shown in this drama were just brilliant & had unique personalities. Be it Jamal, Ghazanfar, Zaibi, Saira or Ahmad, they were always there for their children and guided them perfectly. I wish they had shown Ghazanfar apologizing to Saira for his rude behavior but then he had changed too after Saim’s death so it is all good. I guess they didn’t go too much into the detailing which was good but then I am asking for all these scenes because it would’ve guaranteed a few more episodes. I loved Ahmad’s character too, he was such a good father figure to Abru & to all of his daughters. I was just fuming after seeing Faraz’s character in Khaas last night so Ahmad’s fatherly figure came as a breath of fresh air. He was always there to guide his daughters but never once imposed his decisions on them. He made them strong enough to fight their battles & make their own decisions. I always enjoyed his conversations with Abru, where he’d always uplift Abru, it was very sweet,
Now coming to the younger lot, each & every one of them was just so special & perfect in their own way. Saim was such a beautiful character. Haya & Sana were like typical younger sisters where one of them was rebellious & the other one was wise & compassionate. Waleed was a spoiled brat but then he realized his mistakes & overcame his shortcomings after Saim’s death. Meer was always a difficult character but then he also had his calling & he was changed for the good. Abru’s love made Meer go through all sorts of emotions, he experienced hatred, jealousy, envy, anger, but then, he came to realize that one thing that always stayed constant was his love for her. Abru, I am sure I won’t be able to do justice to this character so I will just say that she was simply perfect. We never really get to see characters like these who are so strong-willed & just right, no matter what they do. I must say this was another beautiful dimension added to Abru’s character that because she raised her sisters like a mother figure, it was like she matured a bit too early after losing a mother. May be that’s why Abru’s character was shown to be this way where she knew she had to be a role model to her sisters, she had to be strong for them that is why she had trained herself to be just right all the time. I so wish they had shown Sana in the last scene too, like she was there for both Meer & Abru & she was the first one to know that Meer loved Abru so much, so I actually missed her presence in the last scene especially.
Mirza Zain Baig, Srha Asghar, Rabya Kulsoom, Saad Qureshi, Jia Ali and all the actors were simply brilliant in Meer Abru. Now coming to the show-stoppers of Meer Abru – Sanam Chaudhry & Noor Hassan, I am sure they are very proud of their outstanding & phenomenal performances. They should be because they poured their heart & soul in these characters & if it wasn’t for them, I am sure this drama would’ve never made this kind of impact. I must say Meer Abru has to be the best choice of Noor Hassan & Sanam Chaudhry’s careers so far & they were beyond perfect. The director of this drama Furqan Adam should be proud of himself too & I wish he gives us another brilliantly directed drama soon. I will also talk about the background scores they have used throughout the drama, they were different & they added so much emotion & feel to every single scene, be it the instrumental music, the OST or even the Alaap, I feel these background music also made me a bit too emotional because they were used just so aptly. Ah! I am so sad this drama is over, also I am upset that the last episode was durated for 34 minutes whereas usually the episodes are 38 minutes long. I so wish they had added those extra 4 minutes to show us Meer & Abru’s life after their marriage, some nice moments to make us feel warm & fuzzy, sigh! Anyways, will forever be in love with drama & congratulations team Meer Abru once again. Please share your thoughts about the last episode of Meer Abru.
Ohkay so, these two episodes of Meer Abru were intense & superb. The story of Meer Abru overall is amazing & has been well-directed. It is the kind of drama that offers everything; a variety to the viewers & has so many tracks which are all super interesting. Meer Abru is my new favorite drama & I am so glad I gave it a go!
Love Triangle:
Saim decided that he will backtrack to allow Meer & Abru to be together but that was the moment which told Abru that she’d be making a wrong choice by rejecting Saim’s proposal. Saim advocated Abru in front of Meer in such a way that made it very easy for Abru to take such a decision. Unfortunately, even after Saim clarified the misunderstanding, Meer continued to believe his version & his perspective. Meer had made up his mind about Abru that she was two-timing, because of which he could not even grasp the truth. Abru realized it then & there that Meer didn’t have it in him to trust anyone that is why she chose Saim. I must say, I loved the conversation that Abru had with her father later on, I like the relationship Ahmed shares with his daughters especially Abru. I loved that Ahmed was observant enough to know that something was bothering Abru & she then confided in him which was so special. We never get to see such sort of a father-daughter relationship in our dramas therefore Ahmed & Abru’s equation is so refreshing to see.
I really think they should have shown a scene or two in which Zaibi finds out about the feelings Meer has for Abru because in this entire episode & going by her behaviour, it was too obvious that she was kind of deriving pleasure out of Meer’s misery & that she also knew that Meer had feelings for Abru. As far as I remember the first ever scene which was in relation to this scenario was the one in which Zaibi gave the chain to Meer telling him to gift it to the girl that he loved. May be Waleed must have told her later that he found that chain to be with Abru’s sister & they might have connected the dots but I guess they should have covered such an important detail because all the teasing that Zaibi was doing was hard to decipher, but still it did suggest that she knew Meer was upset because of Abru. Zaibi’s grand plan is to drift this family apart & she did say that she will use Abru as her pawn so may be she knows exactly that Meer loves Abru & she will use it to her advantage. Zaibi also spoke to Waleed & it looks like she told Waleed to tell Meer about Saim & Abru’s affair even before Saim got a chance to do that. They didn’t give this entire scenario the coverage that it required to clarify everything but it does look like Zaibi as well as Waleed have also played a part in creating this misunderstanding between Saim & Meer.
Abru immediately realized that things were going to get awkward for her & she won’t find an escape easily therefore she decided to resign from the job. Another thing that I liked was the way Saim & Abru openly discussed about Meer & his attitude towards Abru. It is like Saim exactly knows how Meer is going to react that is why he decided to be supportive of Abru even more to put her mind to ease. It was nice to see that after every discussion with Saim, Abru felt relieved & she knew she had a strong support system to make things easy for her!
Sana has pretty much understood Waleed’s game plan & also because she respects Abru, she decided to call it quits with Waleed but sadly, Haya doesn’t really realize. The only thing I find a little unconvincing is the fact that both Waleed & Haya twirl & hug each other in front of the entire university, yet they claim to have kept their relationship a secret. Everyone in the university also knows that Haya happens to be Prof. Ahmed’s daughter, still no one has reported it to him or even her sister Sana that Haya is hanging out with Waleed all the time? I think they should have shown that they both were meeting outside the university to make their secret affair believable.
Meer was struggling but still, he didn’t even for a second think that he might be misunderstanding the entire situation. Meer has made up his mind about Abru, he thinks she cheated on him & he also thinks Saim lied to him, therefore he is making things difficult for both of them. Meer is going to haunt Abru & even though Saim is standing by her side, all of this will obviously test his patience too. Saim knew exactly that Meer must have dragged Abru in his room that is why he ignored it all & trusted Abru but it does look like Meer is not going to stop. I loved the conversation Meer had with his mother Saira. Saira did give him a reality check that Meer didn’t know how to express his love & in fact he didn’t know how to love someone, that is why she dreaded that Meer might hurt himself. Slowly & steadily everyone has started to find out the truth about the love triangle that exists between Saim, Abru & Meer so I am guessing Zaibi will make the most of it to push her agenda plus she’ll have full support of Waleed too who already hates Abru!
I must admit, we see so many females getting slapped that all the time so whenever Abru slaps a guy in this drama, I cheer for her. Abru slapped Waleed’s friend who misbehaved with her & now, she slapped Waleed who she knows is playing with her sister’s feelings. You go girl! Haya is innocent, she really has no idea what Waleed is upto but I so wish she believes Abru or even Sana & parts ways with Waleed. I must say I chuckle every time Waleed gives those mean expressions when Haya is not looking at him, lol!
Closing Thoughts – Such An Impressive Drama:
Overall, these two episodes of Meer Abru were superb. The direction is phenomenal & so is the acting. Noor Hassan & Sanam Chaudhry’s chemistry is beyond brilliant & makes me low-key root for them even though I know Meer is not in the right state of mind as of now. Noor Hassan really has done wonders & even though he has come back after a bit of a break, I think he really has come back stronger as an actor. Sanam Chauhdry never fails to impress with her flawless acting. Mirza Zain Baig is doing full justice to the nicest character of Saim. Saad Qureshi has also given a perfect treatment to Waleed. I wish to see more of Sana & Haya, like more of them apart from them being just university students or girls who are involved with Waleed because their equation with Abru is super enjoyable to watch. The promo of the next episode is already making it hard for me to wait for it the whole week. I so hope Haya is able to protect herself from Waleed though. I am officially in love with Meer Abru. Please share your thoughts about these two episodes of Meer Abru.
Keep Supporting,
Cheers, Zahra Mirza.
Ps: A lot of readers have already made a point that the story of Meer Abru is lifted from some Star Plus drama, but as I have said before, I haven’t watched it & I’m sure quite a lot of viewers must not have watched it either, so I request everyone to please stop mentioning it again & again. Also, since you guys know the story, I will appreciate if the unsolicited spoiler alerts are not handed out & let me & those viewers enjoy this drama who haven’t seen the Star Plus version. Thanks!
Ohkay so, these two episode of Meer Abru were not only interesting but were intense & I absolutely loved watching them. This drama has been so well-directed & all the performances are just so effortlessly convincing that make Meer Abru worth your time. All the things that happened were the defining moments of the story & now the course of it is going to change.
Short Lived Love Story:
I loved the short-lived love story of Meer Abru. Meer finally poured his heart out to Abru & told her what he felt for her. Abru happens to be the first girl ever to have made Meer feel that way & that is why he realized that the thought of her made him happy, her presence mattered to him & he loved her. Abru was shocked to hear everything that Meer said but then even she was in love. Abru never really paid heed to the feelings she had developed for Meer until he confessed his love to her & she also realized that she was in love. Meer showed Abru his vulnerable side & it did affect Abru emotionally, she knew that she had to mend his broken heart. Abru felt so many emotions for Meer, from anger to hatred to sympathy to compassion, then affection & also love, it was like Meer could not escape Abru’s mind & that is why despite not having a smooth relation with him ever, she couldn’t help falling in love with him. Meer gifted Abru the chain & told her to wear it if she wanted to show her acceptance. I loved that entire equation & the time both Abru & Meer shared with each other, they both were different to each other but were now in love & absolutely happy but then, the circumstances took that away from them.
In the meantime, Waleed continued to trap Haya & Sana, especially Haya because he knows she is someone who does not even question him unlike Sana. When it comes to Sana, Waleed has to prove himself to her over & over again but Haya trusts him blindly. Waleed ended up spotting that chain & took it back to create more misunderstandings between Abru & Meer.
Zebi only agreed to Saim & Abru’s marriage because she thinks she will use Abru as a weapon to break this entire home. Zebi didn’t even tell her plan to Waleed, who actually happens to be her ally in most of the things. Waleed doesn’t like Abru & Zebi knows that too but she knows that her sons absolutely love & respect Meer’s family, so she kept her secret to herself as she knows she will have to do everything on her own if she wants to achieve what she has been dreaming of; a separate home & business for her family unit. I am not a fan of Zebi’s character, I am sure no one is but what makes it far more difficult to tolerate her is Jia Ali’s tacky styling, uf! Anyways, that scene was cute where both Zebi & Jamal teased Saim & then let him know that they were totally on his side & were giving him & Abru their blessings for the marriage. Such scenes add a different dimension to the story & they actually tie the story together.
Abru said yes to Meer’s proposal but sadly, Meer didn’t think things through before misunderstanding Abru yet again. I actually feel for Meer because he is someone who tries to break free from what he has seen while growing up but subconsciously he has harboured all those complexes, insecurities & fears in his mind that he can not look past them. Meer decided to question Abru but before even doing that he had set the accusatory tone which riled Abru up. Meer was not actually questioning Abru, he was actually passing a verdict that whatever he thinks of her is what the reality is. It was unfortunate that Meer did not allow Abru the chance to explain herself. To be honest, I was actually rooting for Meer & Abru but seeing the way Meer easily misunderstands & mistrusts Abru, I think she is better suited with Saim who will not put her through this mental torture where she’d have to explain or prove herself over & over again. Meer is nice, like he is eccentric, he is different, but he most certainly has some serious trust issues. Meer hasn’t realized that he does all of what he hates his father for. Even though Meer does not want to see his mother being treated that way but chances are highly likely that he will treat his wife exactly the way Ghazanfar has treated Saira all his life.
Meer decided to fix things, but being the difficult person that he is, he once again demanded an explanation, a clarification to do something for Abru. Meer can not trust Abru no matter what she will say or do, that is why he didn’t even think of doing the heavy lifting without hearing the truth from her. All the things that Saim said to both Meer & Abru showed the kind of person he is. That entire confrontation was so intense & brilliantly executed where Saim decided to back out but he showed Abru what he thought of her. Saim made it very easy for Abru to make a decision because there was Meer, the love of Abru’s life who was not ready to trust her & then there was Saim, who she saw as her friend but he was not only trusting her but trying to make Meer understand too that she could never do anything wrong. Meer is a victim of his own words, his anger, his emotions. At one moment I felt he will give Abru the assurance she needs & he will say that he trusts Abru but no, he wanted Abru to convince him & prove her innocence.
Closing Thoughts – Loving It So Far:
These episodes of Meer Abru were brilliantly directed & the editing was spot on too. There are no loose ends so far & all the tracks are progressing at a same decent pace. I love Abru’s character & the preview showed how she will not settle for mistreatment in the name of love. Even though Saim will always be wary of Meer’s feelings for Abru, but still it is Abru who gets to make the decision which is perfect. Sanam Chaudhry’s styling in this drama is perfect, she always gives her characters a different treatment but I will say she has never looked this good before. Her hair, makeup & the wardrobe is perfect in Meer Abru. Noor Hassan & Zain Baig look graceful & Saad Qureshi has never looked this good before too, even though he can still rely on a little less makeup but he is doing complete justice to the character of Waleed. I am loving Meer Abru so far & can’t wait to see the remaining episodes. This drama is so my cup of tea, therefore I am enjoying it like anything. Please share your thoughts about these episodes of Meer Abru.
Ohkay so, it was yet another interesting & happening episode of Meer Abru. I like watching this drama for the fact that there are quite a lot of characters & at this stage things have started to get a little complicated for most of the characters which actually is a nice build up for what is yet to come. I like how the director has made sure to give a proper coverage to the emotions of all the characters, even though the writers have added a lot of detailing but it is a director’s job to bring all that to life on-screen & the director of Meer Abru surely has succeeded in doing that, so well done!
Abru – The All-Rounder:
So, Sana & Haya continued to get trapped by the lies that were told by Waleed. Haya, who already liked Waleed didn’t take much time in believing that whatever Waleed was telling her was the truth. Sana being a little emotional & mature was making it hard for Waleed to convince her because she kept on doubting him every now & then but because Waleed has thoughts things through, he kept on saying all those things that he knew would eventually convince Sana that he loved her. With Haya, Waleed has taken the easier route where he has told her to keep their relationship a secret & she obviously is obliging while Sana is definitely making it harder for Waleed unfortunately, but while still resisting, she is getting entrapped too.
This fake love triangle may seem interesting at this stage of the drama with one thinking what will eventually happen but while watching this episode, I kind of had a bad feeling. Haya is immature but Sana is quite emotional so I really hope they don’t show one of the sisters (most likely Sana) committing suicide because of the betrayal & then Waleed ending up marrying Haya out of guilt in order to rectify the situation. To be honest, this is the easiest way out that our writers resort to in situations like these so I am hoping Meer Abru turns out to be different. In fact, I hope to see that after Waleed gets exposed, Haya & Sana turn into a formidable duo, form a team & teach Waleed a lifelong lesson, I guess that would be a good change than seeing a girl losing her life over a guy who is not even sincere to her.
I must say, even though the situation that Waleed has created is messy but I really liked the reactions that followed where Abru was trying to get to the bottom of the situation but both Sana & Haya were keeping it from her. I liked the way all these actresses performed during those scenes like the entire vibe was very real & casual like it usually is in real life too. I like how Abru is not just an elder sister who bosses around her younger sisters, in fact she is concerned about them & realizes the responsibility she as an eldest daughter has. It is unfortunate that both Sana & Haya have started to feel irritated by Abru’s questioning but I hope they do realize later that she is doing it to keep them safe. I actually enjoyed minute details like Abru being upset & angry at Haya for not telling her the truth & misbehaving, but then getting concerned that her younger sister might skip a meal – these kind of situations actually add another dimension to the story & complete the drama.
Meer has actually started thinking about Abru & he actually felt like he could ease out around her. It all started off gradually but then Meer found himself talking to Abru on the phone other than discussing work-related details. Saira’s call did force Abru to be concerned about Meer too & she was unsure why was it happening. So far, Meer has not given Abru any reason to see him differently & even he knows that he has not left a good impression on her. I found it interesting that on his own Meer has developed feelings for Abru but is not even thinking about changing her perspective of him. Meer has quite a subtle & different approach towards it because in stead of saying what is in his heart, he was actually questioning Abru to know if she was concerned about him & why?
Saim is serious about Abru & he has even decided to involve his entire family into it. Zebi didn’t have time for her son but then Saira was there to hear all that he wanted to say. Saira did inform him how everyone especially Zebi reacted at the thought of his marriage to Abru but then Saim has made up his mind & he won’t back out. Zebi is kind of selfish & it is ironic that she wants the best for her sons but when it comes to being present for them or giving them time, she doesn’t believe in making compromises. She wants Jamal to set up a business for Waleed before his graduation but when it comes to hearing something important that Saim might have to say, she’s got no time. Also, Zebi spending time with Meer was purely based on the ulterior motive that she has because she feels threatened seeing Meer’s hold & position in the family business.
Meer showed his vulnerable self to Abru because he felt he couldn’t take it anymore but then after seeing Abru’s input, he immediately took it away from her where she might end up feeling that she was his friend, like taking away the power to feel that she had a say in their personal equation. Even though Meer hates the way his father is & how he treats his mother but unconsciously he takes after some of Ghazanfar’s traits too where he belittled Abru & made her feel she was not important to him even if he shared his secrets & feelings with her. I must say, I like how dignified Abru is, she has understood that Meer has some issues & even though she was moved by all that she heard from him, she immediately composed herself & didn’t let him see that she was moved or even affected by his vulnerability or his rigidness.
After seeing Sana with Waleed, Abru intelligently decided to dig deeper into this situation & she was right, Waleed did tell her everything but then again, he wasn’t too scared as he knew that he had the tact of fooling Sana & making her believe him up his sleeve. Even though Abru did warn Sana but she finds herself falling for all the things that Waleed says as she has started to feel for him. Sana definitely believes that Waleed is misunderstood that is why she keeps on giving him one chance after another.
Closing Thoughts – Well Directed & Acted Drama:
Overall, these episodes of Meer Abru were executed brilliantly. The scenes were to the point & the episodes were happening. It is good to see that all the characters are contributing to the story & they all have an important part to play. All the actors especially from the younger lot are making Meer Abru worthwhile. I like how effortlessly everyone has acted & the credit goes to the director for keeping it so casual & real. The girls are beautiful & lovely while the guys are graceful & charming. Loving it so far. Please share your thoughts about these episodes of Meer Abru.
Ohkay so, these two episodes of Meer Abru were brilliant as usual. While watching these episodes, I could totally feel that they were now wrapping the story up & getting us ready for the final episodes. This drama has been such an amazing journey & I was wondering how much they have showed us in these episodes that it just doesn’t feel like we have watched this drama for so long. Meer Abru is a quality entertainment & I am sure once it will end, I will watch its rerun!
The Luck Is On Abru’s Side:
Abru had everything working in her favor. Even though Abru tried to backtrack from quite a lot of things that were being dished out to her, because she wanted to prove things to Zaibi, Haya & even Waleed, she had no idea that Jamal & Meer were adamant to give her the status & position she deserved. Abru has been through so much but she has picked herself up. However, she still is emotional & gets overwhelmed thinking about Saim. Abru finally came back to Saim’s home & she remembered that everything was just the same but it still wasn’t because Saim was not there anymore. I liked how Jamal & Abru had a conversation but then Jamal knew exactly what Abru was going through mentally & emotionally. Abru has to prove herself & her innocence to everyone in the family who doubts her intentions & this is why Jamal just wanted to do everything properly to put a message across that Abru was not going anywhere.
Jamal found out about Waleed & before confronting him or Zaibi, he decided to do things right. Jamal has now gotten totally involved in the business because he can not see it getting ruined because of his wife’s selfish reasons. Jamal & Meer are on the same page & it was nice to see that Jamal had confidence in Meer that he won’t do anything wrong from now on. Meer has done everything to redeem himself & that is something that even Jamal acknowledges but when it comes to terrible trio as well as Abru, they are still not too convinced about Meer & his changed attitude.
One of the most interesting things that happened in this episode was the change in Waleed’s behavior. He started putting two & two together only to find out that his mother was lying to him as well as Haya. Haya thought she was securing her place in this home by going against Abru but little did she know that Zaibi was against her too. Haya insulted Abru yet again but then, it turned out to be another favorable situation for Abru because then Waleed & Haya got to see the real picture & understood that Zaibi had been lying to them all along.
Maha’s reentry was another blessing for Abru because she told Waleed & Haya everything that they wanted to know about Zaibi. Maha actually exposed Zaibi in front of Waleed & Haya but they didn’t confront her just yet. Zaibi has totally lost the sense of right & wrong, that is why she couldn’t stand the fact that Waleed was now trying to lead a normal & happy life with Haya. I am not too keen on Waleed because he was shown to be like this, he was emotional & someone who didn’t really think much or analyze things but when it comes to Haya, I am not going to ever like her character ever again. Now Haya will make sure to seek forgiveness from Abru but then, I don’t think she deserves to be forgiven because she had seen how Abru was always a mother figure to both Sana & her, so for Haya to actually go against Abru & judge her, based on a little bit of brain feeding makes her a bizarre character!
Sana’s involvement in this entire equation was very interesting. I really love how she always makes sure to uplift Abru when she is feeling down & always lends emotional support to her. Sana had started to feel that Meer loved Abru & she wanted to know more about it but then Abru silenced her. Sana had a chance to speak to Meer directly. It was nice to see Meer coming to rescue Sana, it was now Meer was being a brother figure to Abru’s sisters just like Saim used to be. Meer helped Sana but then yet again, Abru misconstrued & Meer didn’t tell her what the truth was until Sana did. Abru had slowly & steadily started to see the difference there was in Meer’s attitude. How he had changed & how he was going out of the way to do things right. Abru will slowly realize that her feelings for Meer had never died & they will resurface yet again & I can’t wait to see that happen.
Closing Thoughts – Complete Drama:
Meer Abru is such a complete & perfect drama. It has so many flavors & that is what has made this journey so interesting to watch. I have absolutely loved Abru’s character & it is a treat to see such a dignified female lead like Abru in a Pakistani drama. The actors have done a brilliant job in elevating the level of this drama, just everything about Meer ABru is absolutely perfect. Please share your thoughts about these episodes of Meer Abru.
Ohkay so, these two episodes of Meer Abru were again beyond brilliant. I loved how they showed that Abru’s life was shaping back to normalcy and despite not wanting to, she was being pulled towards things that were good for her. I am so happy that I am getting to see a drama like Meer Abru which is not only wholesome but totally complete. Every single situation & aspect has been taken care of in Meer Abru, that is why it makes it such an amazing drama to tune to.
Abru Decided To Move On:
Meer & Abru finally got a chance to have a conversation with each other. Meer got to explain everything & not only that, he gave her reasons why he was adamant to part ways with Saim. Meer has behaved selfishly & he admits, but now he is full of regrets & the good thing is, he doesn’t shy away from admitting all the mistakes that he has committed in the past. When I heard everyone blaming Meer for Saim’s death, I thought they lacked the basic common sense but going by the conversations that took place in this episode, it was made clear that people doubted that because of business dispute, Meer made that accident happen. Luckily, Abru was with Saim so she knows that it was purely an accident but yes, her notion that Saim ran into an accident because of the stress Meer gave to Saim made a lot more sense than everyone else’s baseless accusations.
The Terrible Trio of Zaibi, Waleed & Haya has gone crazy. They are doing everything to push their agendas. Zaibi is using Waleed for professional gains & Haya for personal gains & either way, her target is Abru & then Meer. Zaibi is using Haya against Abru & she was using Waleed against Meer but after Abru’s rejoining, she will use Waleed against Abru too. Zaibi & Waleed thought that they played their game wisely, they also fooled Meer time & again but then they had no idea that Jamal was keeping tabs on Waleed. I guess Jamal still must not have figured that Waleed did all of that because Zaibi told him to but the fact that he has finally come to know that Meer is not responsible for the current situation at the office was something beneficial for Meer.
Abru was trying hard to get back on her feet but every time she was reminded of the fact that her relation & link with Murad Group wasn’t forgotten. Every time Abru went for the interview, she was asked these personal questions that she didn’t want to answer. It was unfortunate & heartbreaking to see that despite trying so hard to move on, Abru was being constantly reminded of Saim & the tragedy that she experienced in her life. Meer once again came to Abru’s rescue but this time, she didn’t know about it. It was Meer who convinced Jamal to speak to Abru & convince her to join Murad Group again. Abru has taken some decisions on her own but then, her father continued to guide her every step of the way.
I have always loved the relationship that Abru shares with her father & also her sister Sana. Sana has been such a perfect support system for Abru in a time like this where her own younger sister Haya turned against her. Sana is not only mature & wise, she also feels for Abru as she has seen how things have been hard for her. Similarly, her father is sad that Abru was mistreated by Haya like that but then he has no idea that Zaibi humiliated her as well.
Abru decided that she didn’t want to go back to Murad house but it was so heart-wrenching seeing Abru in the office, it was like she was now once again reminded of Saim & all those moments that she spent there with him. This office was the launchpad of their short-lived but beautiful relationship & the way Abru broke down in front of Sana after her first day at work was the most real & natural emotion that they showed. Everything else in Meer Abru has always been a perfect portrayal of reality but this one was heart-breaking & I found myself tearing up for Abru.
The terrible trio thought they were going on the right track & they were slowly succeeding in their plans but they had no idea that luck was on Abru side, mainly because she has never caused harm to anyone, that is why she has an upper hand on them. I can’t wait to see the moment when this terrible trio will seek Abru’s forgiveness, but I wish before that happens, they are insulted & humiliated by the entire family that too in front of Abru. Haya, I can’t stand her & I so wish something bad happens to her, not her baby but her!
Closing Thoughts – Love It:
Overall, these two episodes of Meer Abru had a lot of heart touching moments. I loved the way they showed how Abru continued to pick up the pieces even after being emotionally shattered. Abru was now living for her father & wanted to give him comfort, that is why she was putting on a brave face. Abru has quite a lot of people against her, her younger sister being one of them but even that didn’t deter her from continuing to move on. I have loved all the conversations Sana & Abru had. I am glad Meer got a chance to explain & he has slowly & steadily started doing everything right. Meer spent a long long time being bitter but now, he is trying to undo all of that & is trying hard to be a better person. All the actors get full points for brilliant performances. Absolutely love this drama. Please share your thoughts about Meer Abru.
Ohkay so, these two episodes of Meer Abru were like a roller-coaster ride of emotions, there was good, the bad & then the ugly. Every single emotion was portrayed to perfection & all of it was so heart-breaking. I hate seeing my favorite character of Abru being treated this way but I am sure she will rise & shine. This drama has to be the best of 2019 for me, the pace has been consistent & every set of episode brings something new & a change of scenario with it. I can not emphasize enough on how good Meer Abru is & what a perfect drama this is. I must also add that one of the best aspects of Meer Abru also is that they show personal as well as professional life & the rivalry in it as well, it is like it immediately shifts the mood & makes you wonder what is happening on the family business front too.
Terrible Trio of Zaibi, Haya & Waleed Have An Upperhand At The Moment:
Abru wanted to take care of Haya & make her feel special that is why she was keen that Haya comes to her father’s house & allow all of them to give her some mental peace & relaxation that she was in need of but Abru had no idea what was going on in Haya’s mind. Haya has proved to be a dimwit & even though I did feel for her when she was being mistreated by Waleed but not anymore, in fact now I want her to fall flat on her face so bad that she realizes how stupid & evil she has been. Zaibi has succeeded in planting the seed of hatred in Haya as well as Waleed’s heart against both Abru & Meer. Zaibi’s agenda has been clear, she wants this family as well as the business to split that is why she is now using Waleed as a pawn to make that happen.
It was unfortunate to see how Zaibi kept on using Saim’s death to rile Waleed up. Waleed is emotional & he is doing everything irrationally without putting much thought into it. He thinks this was he will avenge Saim’s death & teach Meer a lesson but he has no idea that he is making a fool of himself by following what his mother is telling him to. Waleed has been doing everything that will tarnish Meer’s reputation & then in front of Jamal he is making it seem as if he is working alongside Meer to flourish the business further but that is not what the reality is. Meer has obviously understood but his hands are tied. It is like Meer can totally see what Waleed is upto but because he feels guilty & also feels a lot for Waleed for the fact that he has lost his brother, Meer has taken a backseat & is not saying much to Waleed. Meer also knows that no matter what he’ll say, Waleed will never ever understand, so he is not even taking any measures.
So, Haya created a mayhem at her father’s house & she let Abru & everyone know what she feels for her eldest sister. Haya was immature but I actually underestimated how pathetically stupid she was. I actually felt my blood boil when she misbehaved with her entire family but then I low-key giggled too as I could see that she was making a fool of herself, because later when she will realize that Zaibi was just using her, she will be ashamed of herself. I must say, both Haya & Waleed make a perfect couple, they both are equally dumb-headed & foolish, so Mr. & Mrs. Foolish are a match made in heaven. Abru was broken but she was still trying to keep her family intact as she knows that this is something Zaibi wants so bad but she didn’t want her to win. Unfortunately, Abru was once again humiliated right in front of Zaibi & Haya was playing along the lines. At that moment, even Waleed seemed shocked, may be he couldn’t believe that his wife turned out to be a bigger fool than him, may be he felt a burden being lifted off his shoulders that there was someone more foolish than him in this World. I can’t wait to see how Zaibi will continue to torture Waleed & Haya. Haya thinks she has won Waleed over by having his baby, Waleed may want to change but they both will now understand the scrutiny of family politics.
Meer & Abru have hit the rock bottom, they both are shattered, they both are feeling dejected & they both know that everyone around them is misjudging them & their intentions. Meer & Abru are in the same boat & may be this will bring them both back together, because both of them will be able to relate to each other & feel their pain on a personal level as they are going through the same phase in their lives. I can’t wait to see how all of that will happen & how both Meer & Abru will end up supporting each other through this dark phase. Meer is full of regrets, he has no idea how to deal with all of this because he blames himself for putting Saim through so much during his last days, let’s see what he will do to come out of this guilt!
Closing Thoughts – My Favorite:
Overall, these episodes of Meer Abru were action-packed. I don’t think I have said this enough so I will say that again, I absolutely love watching Meer Abru & it is hands down my favorite drama of 2019. One complain that I have with the dialogues is that everyone is blaming someone else for someone’s death. Zaibi blames Abru for Saim’s death & Abru blames Meer for Saim’s death too. I mean, don’t they really have any idea that no one can be responsible for anyone’s death, Saim couldn’t live a day longer than his pre-destined lifespan, but I guess they really are being dramatic about it! Sanam Chauhdry, Noor Hassan, Saad Qureshi, Rabya Kulsoom & Srha Asghar, all of them have been acting brilliantly in Meer Abru. I have also started finding Jia Ali tolerable but I am not ruling out her bad & overdone makeup yet. I love the character of Saira too, it is nice to see a calm & composed person like her who is analytical but also knows how to mind her own business. Saira feels for Abru so much but she knows that Zaibi is after her so she won’t allow anyone to interfere in her personal affair. I hope Meer comes to Abru’s rescue & protects her from whatever this terrible trio of Zaibi, Haya & Waleed is brewing against her. Please share your thoughts about these episodes of Meer Abru.
Ohkay so, these two episodes of Meer Abru took the story forward & while showing how everyone was dealing with the absence of Saim in their lives, they all were still trying to move on. When it comes to pace & the change of scenario, Meer Abru scores full points for it. This drama has remained consistently good & I feel other drama-makers should take notes from Team Meer Abru.
Meer Is Trying To Redeem Himself:
Abru was sent to her father’s place & even before she left, she was humiliated. Neither Saira nor Meer could do anything otherwise Abru would’ve never faced what Zaibi put her through. Meer has finally realized that he was wrong all along & that he doubted Saim for no good reason. Where it was good to see that a stubborn person like Meer was now reflecting upon his mistakes & trying his best to make amends, Zaibi as well as Waleed once again took the wrong direction & continued with their agendas. It is unfortunate that even after losing her son, Zaibi has still not learnt her lesson.
I liked the conversation between Jamal & Meer where he apologized but then Jamal told him he could have all that he ever wanted. Jamal realized that nothing was worth more than his own son & that all of the wealth that he has can never bring Saim back, his aloofness was so realistic but it is sad that Zaibi is not even thinking straight & Saim’s death has not altered her perspective!
Meer was trying his best to let everyone know that he has changed & that he will now do everything to bring them all together. It was bittersweet how Meer was learning every step of the way about all the things that Saim used to do, all the roles that he played & how he acted like a binding force to keep the entire family together. Meer learnt it the hard way that he had Saim’s shoes to fill but then this was his path of redemption where he had already started walking on it!
Abru was shattered & just the thought of having Meer around her made her bitter but then Meer finally had a conversation with her & made her understand that this was something that Saim had wanted for her & Meer was just making that happen on his behalf. I love the fact that even though Meer & Abru are so distant but still every time they are around each other, they still have that connection. Their past is not forgotten & even though Abru has moved on, Meer’s heart still beats for her.
Zaibi & Waleed are upto no good & this time around yet again, they are using Haya as a stooge for their ulterior motives. To be honest, now when something wrong will happen with Haya, I don’t think I will feel anything for her. She’d actually deserve all that Zaibi & Waleed will put her through because of her own stupidity & also for doubting her own sister.
Closing Thoughts – So Far So Good:
Overall, these episodes of Meer Abru were really good. I am loving this drama so far & I am totally impressed with how everything has been unfolding without any delays or dragging. It is truly amazing that even after so many episodes have passed, I have only good things to say about Meer Abru. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Meer Abru.
Ohkay so, this episode of Meer Abru was tragic. Even though it is a known fact that in the end Meer & Abru will end up together but to see Abru losing such a loving husband was heart breaking. The pace, the direction & everything about this drama is spot on & I am glad we’re getting to see such a drama that has so much to offer in terms of emotions & the ups & downs that the characters go through.
Saim & Abru’s Dream Is Over:
Abru had accepted Saim as her life partner long time ago but slowly she fell in love with him. Saim was a perfect husband to Abru because he not only accepted or loved her, he trusted her. The kind of relationship Abru & Saim shared showed what a faith & trust put by a husband can do for the wife. Abru did love Meer but she got to see how his mistrust in her left her shattered but then came Saim who made her realize that she was trustworthy & worth his love. Abru loved Saim & she was finally at a happy place. Saim & Abru were now going to be together because their relationship underwent another trial but they came out of it stronger but unfortunately, fate had something else in store for them.
Saim could not survive the accident & as tragic as it was, I kind of liked seeing the flashbacks of Abru & Saim because even though Meer was putting Saim through a lot, Abru made Saim feel loved. It was nice to see that before Saim left, Abru got to share all of her feelings & emotions with him where she told him repeatedly that she loved him & that he meant so much to her.
Meer was broken & shattered but more than that, he was guilt-stricken because he knew exactly what he had said to Saim & how hurtful it was. At least Saim’s departure made Meer admit & acknowledge in front of Waleed that he was responsible for what the entire family was going through. Waleed was furious & he let his hatred for Abru cloud his judgement & hold her responsible for all that Saim was going through but Meer’s confession also left him confused.
Saim passed away & even though Saira & the rest of them were trying hard to help Abru in this difficult time, Zaibi took it as a golden opportunity to throw Abru out of her house. It was unfortunate that in this day & age, Abru was being labelled as the reason behind Saim’s death but then, no matter what Abru will say or do, Waleed & Zaibi will not let go of their ill feelings towards her. I am liking the change in Saira’s attitude where she doesn’t stay silent anymore & always is the voice of reason. Saira is not just a spectator anymore, she knows how to take a stand & put forth her opinion, both nicely & sternly. I liked how she gave it back to Zaibi but then, Zaibi was bent on sending Abru to her father’s house!
Saim’s character will be missed for sure. It was refreshing to see such a positive character on screen especially of such kind of a husband who was so supportive of his wife & loved her against all odds. Meer will have to do a lot to redeem himself but I am glad this guilt will weigh heavy on his heart that he hurt Saim the most when he was alive & he caused him so much distress in the last days of his life. Not liking Meer’s character at the moment. He needs to sort his mental mess now!
Closing Thoughts – Brilliant Acting:
Overall, these episodes of Meer Abru were very emotional & heart-breaking. I know this has been the trend that our drama makers are following for quite a while now but I find it funny that everyone finds that perfect white suit in our dramas to wear while mourning the loss of their loved ones, so unnecessary I must say. I hope after that scene Mirza Zain Baig wasn’t left with a strained neck because Noor Hassan kept on shaking him so bad during Saim’s death scene. All the actors portrayed their emotions brilliantly. The direction of this drama & the acting has been one of the best we have seen in recent times. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Meer Abru.
Ohkay so, this set of episodes of Meer Abru covered another hardship that Saim & Abru had to overcome as a couple. I can not emphasize enough about how much the pace of this drama has impressed me. I love watching Meer Abru & what I like the most about it the sense of relief I feel knowing that whatever is being shown will be dealt with within these couple of episodes. I think the strategy of airing double episodes has also played a huge role in the impact that this drama is making but still hats off to the entire team for keeping the pace so consistent & story moving forward so seamlessly.
Maha & Zaibi Threw Meer Under The Bus:
Saim found out immediately that Maha was doing everything because she was being told to do all of that & for Saim, what mattered the most was conveying that to Abru so that she stops misunderstanding him. Saim tried to win Maha over to have her confess everything. In the meanwhile Meer tried to play his cards carefully as well because he saw this as a golden opportunity to drift Saim & Abru further apart, but Meer never in his wildest dreams would’ve imagined that Maha will throw him under the bus.
Maha did confess everything when she saw she was exposed but Maha also didn’t want to shock Saim by letting him know that it was his own mother who was trying to create misunderstandings between him & Abru, that is why to save Zaibi’s name, she turned Meer into a culprit & held him responsible for what he never told Maha to do. Obviously for Saim & Abru, it was very easy to believe that Meer was the mastermind of this plan but then this time around, he actually was not guilty. Yes, Meer has played his part too as he can not accept the fact that Saim & Abru are happily married & pretty much in love but then, he didn’t bring Maha in the picture.
After everything was exposed & Saim & Abru were back to normal, Zaibi tried to push her agenda further. In this episode, it was nice to see Ghazanfar immediately realizing that Meer hadn’t done any of what Zaibi was accusing him of. Meer getting this support & assurance from Ghazanfar took him by surprise but it also showed how even this much of faith from his father was overwhelming for Meer. Even though Ghazanfar advocated Meer, it still was a win win situation for Zaibi because either way, she had planted the seed of hatred in everyone’s heart & despite Meer not being guilty, she got to use it to drift everyone apart.
In this episode, another brilliant change was in Haya’s behaviour. I loved seeing her fighting for her rights & letting Waleed know clearly that she was not going to tolerate his mistreatment. I loved seeing Waleed being helpless because he exactly knows that Jamal will never allow him to send Haya away from this house. That entire scenario was very realistic where Haya after facing Waleed sternly felt weak when she came out of the room, she knew it was going to be hard but then she mustered up the courage do to so. I also loved seeing Abru being considerate towards Haya & checking up on her. Abru never stopped being Haya’s elder sister but yes, she did distance herself to make Haya realize about the gravity of her situation.
I love Meer Abru for the fact that it offers so much, all sorts of emotions coming from all thr characters. They all get to contribute towards the story & where there are sweet moments, there are heart-wrenching ones too. I love how they have shown certain relationships like that of Abru & her father, Jamal with everyone in the house, similarly Saira’s love towards her family, Abru’s consideration for her sisters. Everything about Meer Abru just ticks all the boxes & that is why this drama is so so so special!
Closing Thoughts – Heartbreaking Precap:
These episodes of Meer Abru were just as interesting as the previous episodes have been but the preview of next episode left me heart broken because I so didn’t want to see anything happening to Saim’s character. Yes, we know that Meer & Abru are meant to be together but it is unfortunate how everyone will have to bear such a huge loss to come back together. It seems Saim’s death will put things into perspective for everyone & make them realize that they are one family & they are stronger together. So not looking forward to a death of such a beautiful character, it’s already breaking my heart. Please share your thoughts about these episodes of Meer Abru.
Ohkay so, first just let me ask Team Meer Abru straight away that how did they make such a good drama, I am beyond impressed. This drama just keeps on getting better & better, which is just amazing. The direction, execution, twists & turns, story-telling, acting, all the different scenarios; everything about Meer Abru is beyond impressive & what acts like an icing on the cake is the perfect & fast pace of this drama. Every set of episodes has something new to offer which changes the dynamics of the story.
We Need More Characters Like Abru:
These two episodes focused on how Maha was bent on ruining Saim & Abru’s relationship, but what’s sad was the fact that Meer knew exactly what she was doing & he was kind of hoping for that to happen too. Maha continued to make Abru awkward by making it obvious to her that she knew Saim more & he was more attached to Maha than his own wife. Abru immediately realized that something was not right but Saim didn’t feel such a thing as he assumed that Maha was just being herself. Saim had no idea that Maha was trying to create a rift between Saim & Abru plus he also didn’t really know that Maha was making Abru uncomfortable with her chumminess with him!
Abru has fallen in love with Saim, even though she developed feelings for him over the time, she somehow felt it was the right time to let him know. May be seeing Maha in the picture made Abru realize that Saim meant so much more to her that she had realized before. Abru confessed her feelings & that was the sweetest part, Saim really couldn’t believe that Abru was so observant & that she noticed even the smallest of gestures that he did for her or anyone else. Abru felt happy that she had finally let Saim know what was in her heart but they both had no idea that their relationship & love for each other was going to be tested.
On Haya’s end, she was being mentally tortured by Waleed, but what else could she expect from a shallow & selfish guy like him. Walled thought this was the best way he could get back at Haya for ruining his life. The highlight of this entire episode of Meer Abru for me was the way Abru motivated Haya & told her to not settle for Waleed’s atrocities just like that. For a second, I couldn’t believe that this was exactly what I was hearing because who in our drama ever tells a girl to take a stand? This is the reason why I like this drama even more that we have a girl like Abru who is so self-sufficient & emotionally sorted & now she was the one telling her sister to buck up & fight for her rights. Abru’s heart finally melted for Haya & it was nice to see that Haya now had Abru to guide her through.
So, Maha created this misunderstanding between Abru & Saim. Saim knew that Abru loved Meer when they got married, so it was like everything was just transparent in front of him but now Abru was made to believe that Saim has been hiding his feelings about Maha from Abru all along. Abru left but that basically sealed the deal about the fact that more & more misunderstandings were going to be created because suddenly there was no communication between Abru & Saim plus Abru was not even giving him a chance to explain. I did feel that Abru was being stern in her approach & she was only believing what she wanted to believe, something exactly that Meer did to her as well.
Saim tried his best to make it all right but he had no idea that Maha is playing her cards well, she kept on putting Saim in one difficulty after another but Saim just didn’t know how to come out of it as Abru was not by his side. I felt kind of relieved that Saim heard Maha discussing her plan with someone on the phone, like it is not a secret anymore. Even though the preview did suggest that Saim was talking on those lines with Maha but I feel it might be his way of having her confess everything, we’ll find out. Meer has been the mastermind all along but he is playing it subtly, he lets Abru know openly that he still loves her but when it comes to Saim, he keeps it subliminal & doesn’t really show it to him so much. Meer already knew about what Maha has done that is why very subtly he planted a seed of doubt in Saim’s heart against Abru which forced Saim to be worried about the fact that Abru was in contact with Meer. Misunderstanding after misunderstanding, doubts & suspicion are going to ruin Saim & Abru’s relationship, but somehow I am relived that Saim did not cheat on Abru, they both are just being the victims of planning & plotting that is being done against them. Let’s see what happens!
Closing Thoughts – Brilliant:
Overall, these two episodes like all the previous episodes of Meer Abru were beyond brilliant. Sanam Chaudhry is the star of this drama & so are Mirza Zain Baig & Noor Hassan. They all have elevated the level of this drama with their phenomenal performances. Can’t wait to see what’s in store for us. Please share your thoughts about these episodes of Meer Abru.
Ohkay so, these episodes of Meer Abru once again took the story forward & focused on the changing dynamics of the entire Murad family on both personal & professional levels. Where some of the family members did their best to do the right thing, others were adamant on doing everything that is wrong. This is what I love about Meer Abru that this drama is like a complete package which covers all the aspects of the characters’ lives, that too in such a brilliant manner!
Meer Has Made His Decision:
Jamal & Ghazanfar made sure to bring Haya into their home because they wanted to rectify the mistake that Waleed committed. Waleed obviously still fails to see his wrongdoing & continues to argue that he has nothing to do with Haya even after he knows that she is expecting their baby. Zebi tried really hard to talk Jamal out of his decision but I liked how Jamal slapped her with a bitter reality of how she has failed as a mother. Zebi really can not take the credit for being an ideal mother to both Saim & Waleed because like Jamal said, she was always a bit too pre-occupied with her social life. Even though what Zebi wants is something evil but luckily for her, Meer is onto achieving exactly that without even worrying about the consequences or the fact that he is hurting his own family by doing all of this. Zebi will never openly admit that this is what she wants but deep inside she is quite happy that Meer is working in the favor of her agenda as well.
Haya might have come to Waleed’s house but she exactly knows that she is just being imposed on him. Even though it is unfortunate that Haya is facing all of this but then she has also realized that this is not anybody else’s mistake but her own. At least Haya’s bubble has burst therefore she won’t be too affected after witnessing more atrocities that Waleed will commit because this is something that he is not even hiding or sugar-coating in front of Abru as well as Haya. Jamal, Ghazanfar, Saira & even Meer have showed support to Haya but then she is completely aware of the circumstances in which she has been brought to this house so it is still very hard for Haya to act normal & come to terms with everything.
Meer has now openly declared that he is going to part his ways with Saim & that he can not continue to work with him. This has obviously not only forced Jamal & Ghazanfar to think about Meer’s reasons but has also forced Saira to speak up. Jamal & Ghazanfar are still in the dark about the fact that Meer loved Abru & he is doing it all on the basis of a misunderstanding but Saira tried to make everyone realize that Meer must be having a strong reason behind it. Both Saim & even Meer do not want to put Abru in an awkward position in front of Jamal & Ghazanfar but they will eventually find out as this has now started affecting their family business as well as their reputation so they both are not going to take it lightly. Also, one of the best scenes this week was Saira’s response to Ghazanfar’s same old accusation of her failing as a mother. Everything that Saira said actually did force Ghazanfar to think for a second about all that she has done her entire life. Saira should give it back to Ghazanfar more often, I’d love to see that happen again & again.
Well, just when I was super happy with the fact that there are no annoying characters in this drama & that everyone has something special to contribute towards the story, we got Maha. Maha happens to be Meer’s cousin but she is best of friends with Saim & she seemed a bit dumb headed to not really acknowledge the fact that Saim was now married & that she was making Abru totally awkward with her immaturity.
Closing Thoughts – Super Interesting:
Overall, these two episodes of Meer Abru were perfect just like all the previous episodes & now it seems another chapter is going to be unfolded with Maha in the picture because we all can predict what she is here for. Meer was once again seeking pleasure with the fact that Maha’s chumminess with Saim was making Abru a bit uncomfortable, it was like he could see that Abru will now understand what Meer goes through seeing her with Saim as his wife. Meer’s character has to be the most interesting aspect of this drama because it is the same Meer who handled Haya Waleed’s case with so much of maturity but when it comes to Abru & Saim, he is not giving them a benefit of doubt. Super interesting so far. Can not wait to see the remaining episodes. Please share your thoughts about these episodes of Meer Abru.
Ohkay so, this episode of Meer Abru was intense & beyond brilliant. Let me take a second to digest the fact that we are getting to see a Pakistani drama which is so fast paced because usually when some big secret is revealed, the next 20 episodes are dedicated to incessant crying of all the characters, side characters, gardeners, servants, drivers, neighbours & relatives but I am pleasantly & ecstatically surprised that in Meer Abru, the story is progressing so efficiently. Props to the entire team of Meer Abru for giving us such a brilliant & well-executed drama.
Meer Saved The Day:
This episode covered one of the most important & defining curves of the story & the director made sure to make it intense & packed with emotions. Firstly, Ahmad finally found out the reason behind Haya’s suicide attempt. I felt bad for Ahmad because he did everything to raise his daughters with right values & standards but Haya defied everything that Ahmad had taught her. Ahmad was already perplexed because he had absolutely no idea about the reason behind Haya’s irrational behaviour but once he found out, he couldn’t help resort to an extreme measure where he wanted her out of his home. Abru has to be the best thing that had happened to Haya & she should be thankful to Abru for guarding her & doing everything to keep her protected.
Saim not only believed Abru & Haya but he also tried to come to a conclusion because he wanted Waleed to take responsibility for everything. Saim did the best he could but he obviously was finding it hard to convince everyone because he had no solid evidence to prove that the Nikkah took place. Saim’s decision of bringing Ahmad to his place was a smart move, even though no one at that point believed Ahmad but they were forced to think about it for a while. The way Saim goes out of the way for Abru has to be the best thing about their relationship, it is like he leaves Abru speechless that there is a man in her life who happens to be so selfless & compassionate.
Meer came along & saved the day. Meer is a man of his words, he promised Waleed that he’ll save him if he will never get involved in something shady but now when he found out the truth, he made sure to do right by Haya, Abru & everyone because Waleed was at mistake. Waleed was winging it till now because he believed no matter what happens, Meer will continue to support him, this thing kind of put Zaibi’s heart to ease too because so far she was making the most of the rage that Meer had towards Abru, but not anymore. Even though in front of everyone Zaibi made sure to support Waleed & brush what he did under the carpet but it was actually good to see her questioning Waleed in private & feeling disgusted at how low he stooped. Just like everyone else, even Zaibi could not believe that Waleed could do something like this but then she had a bigger problem with the fact that Waleed was coming under the radar because of a girl who happens to be Abru’s sister. After seeing how everyone was now coming to stand by Haya & protect her, it was obvious to Zaibi that her position weakened whereas Abru’s strengthened.
Abru & Meer’s conversation was about Waleed & Haya but the underlying feelings were about something else. Abru once again spoke about how Meer should have trusted her before but then, they weren’t meant to be together, at least for now. Meer is suffering the most but he found it in his heart to do the right thing, even if it meant that he had to do something that was in Abru’s favour. Meer is madly in love with Abru & it makes me feel for him. I liked that Saim took this opportunity also to make Abru understand that she could trust him & that he had no issues with her & Meer’s interactions because he has come to terms with the fact that they both live under the same roof so they are bound to have some conversations.
Closing Thoughts – Beyond Brilliant:
Overall, this episode was superb. I love the way the story is unfolding at such a perfect pace. I must say, I liked Noor Hassan’s acting before in Abroo & now in Meer Abru, he has outdone himself, so I guess he really should appear in all those dramas that have the word Abru in the title because he is on top of his game in Meer Abru. Noor Hassan especially was phenomenal in this episode followed by all the actors especially Saad Qureshi. Srha Asghar has also succeeded in putting across Haya’s heart break convincingly. I love the equation Abru, Sana & Haya share with each other. I guess I’ve got nothing else to say but just that I absolutely love watching Meer Abru & it is my favorite drama. I am gutted that we got single episode this week, hope after Ramadan they go back to the usual air time Please share your thoughts about this episode of Meer Abru.
Ohkay so, these episodes of Meer Abru were intense & well-executed. I must say, what I am loving about this drama the most is the pace. I am super happy that they are not only taking the story forward but are unfolding one scenario after another which is keeping it all very gripping. To be honest, for a Pakistani drama that too of recent times, the pace is unbelievable (in a good sense) because the drama buffs have gotten used to slow paced dramas that this one is such a breath of fresh air. Just when I was rejoicing on the note at which these episodes ended, I was pleasantly surprised by the preview of the next episodes too, so much so that before even discussing these episodes I am so excited to be mentioning the precap already!
Saim & Abru’s Life Is Not Going To Be Easy:
Abru & Saim started off their marital journey & they both were getting to know each other. Abru was learning more about Saim & as the days passed, she found out what a thorough gentleman he was to be making sure to take care of each & everything related to Abru. Abru was now becoming comfortable with Saim but the fact that she is under the same roof as Meer does weigh her down emotionally. Even though Saim was happy that Abru was by his side, he did somehow at the back of his mind have some inhibitions because he is well aware of the fact that Abru was once in love with Meer whereas she just respected Saim immensely.
Saim & Abru will have to stand by each other’s side through thick & thin, which they would considering how they both are mature but the sad truth is that their journey is not going to be easy since so many people around them have their personal vendettas against them – be it Meer, Zaibi or even Waleed. As much as Saim & Abru are trying to find their happiness in each other, Meer is making sure that neither of them forget the equation once Meer & Abru shared. Meer went out of the way to let Saim know about the conversations Abru had with him on a personal level like discussing her likes & dislikes, the only reason behind bringing them up now was to make Saim feel that he didn’t know Abru as much as Meer did. I loved the way Abru put Saim’s heart to ease & assured him that all that she said was done & dusted & now she was only focused on keeping him happy & prioritizing her relationship with him!
Abru did have a conversation with Meer but it was kind of her final reminder to him to leave her alone as she knew what he was trying to prove to the entire family. Meer is in denial & not only that, he is bent on proving it to Abru too that she can not backtrack from the feelings they had shared even if she is married now. Meer is letting Abru know that he still desires her, he needs her which obviously is emotionally draining for Abru!
Just when Saim & Abru started their relationship after going through so much, they were faced with another hardship where their relationship & their sincerity towards each other was tested. Abru had told Saim the truth but for Saim is it going to become very difficult as he will be torn between his family & Abru. Haya fell pregnant & Waleed ditched her. I kind of laughed at myself when I recalled mentioning in one of the previous reviews that Waleed was quite shareef, well not so much. Waleed did what he promised in order to get back at Abru but in the course of his action, he ended up ruining Haya’s life. Haya turned out to be quite stupid to be honest but yes, she is equally responsible for the mess she has created. Yes, she was naive but then she ignored Abru’s warnings continuously.
Everything became a lot more complicated when Haya attempted suicide. Waleed stayed unaffected but then everyone else was shaken. It was nice to see how Saim despite not being fully convinced still questioned Waleed after hearing Abru’s side of the story. Saim just didn’t rule the fact out that Waleed was not capable of doing something like this. Saim’s confusion was translated brilliantly where he was still not sure but still had to ask as he saw what Haya did to herself, so he wasn’t left with an option to not believe that Haya must be telling the truth.
Waleed got Meer on his side as he has already understood that Meer is pretty much against Abru, so Waleed knew that Meer will buy whatever he will tell him & it did work. Meer, without even thinking things through went straight to let Saim know that Waleed had his back, it was more like a declaration in front of Abru that now no matter what the situation will be, she will always find Meer opposing her & standing on the other end of the spectrum. Meer has literally made it his mission to fight Saim & Abru be it in his personal or professional life. I so want to root for Meer & Abru but right now, Meer is obviously making it very hard to like him, but I still do!
I must say, I am super impressed that they let the secret out & didn’t just drag everything. Abru found out about Haya’s pregnancy & then she shared the truth with Sana too. I was shocked (read surprised) that Ahmad found out about it too. I am glad they are not just dragging things for the sake of it & are taking the story forward to keep it interesting & engaging.
Closing Thoughts – Breath of Fresh Air:
Overall, these two episodes of Meer Abru were superb. This drama has every single flavor & what I love the most about it is that every single week, they give us so much to discuss & talk about. Just when things were going smooth, they gave us another twist in the story & this one is going to affect everyone’s life. All the actors are performing brilliantly & once again, like I have said it before I will say it again, I love how casual & candid reactions of all the characters are added which make everything seem so realistic & relatable. Waleed’s expressions especially are so real & he makes me laugh every time because of his meanness. Sanam Chaudhry has taken Abru’s character to another level, she is honest, fierce & strong while still being bound by her relationships which she respects & do not want to get hurt. Abru’s character is such a breath of fresh air & so is Saim’s. Meer is twisted but he can get away with it because he has a solid reason to be this way but then I hope he stops hurting Saim & Abru because they both gave him a chance to reflect & rectify but he didn’t. Loving Meer Abru so far. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Meer Abru.
