First look pictures of an upcoming film Maalik are released. Whats special about Maalik, well it is written and directed by Aashir Azeem. Aashir Azeem stunned the tele viewers in 1990’s with his debut production Dhuwwan, now after almost two decades Maalik is the next notable project by Aashir Azeem.
As per its official page, “Maalik Is a story of men of Pakistan’s Elite Special Forces whose life gets entangled with Politics.
They soon realize that serving the nation is more complicated than simple following of orders.”
The film is shot in Karachi, starring Ashir Azeem, Sajid Hassan, Hassan Niazi, Adnan Shah Tipu in main roles. Aashir Azeem provided direction, screen play and story, whereas Media Hub is the production banner.
As expected Aashir Azeem will be playing the main lead. However the official page is silent about female cast in the film.

Maalik, the film that marked the return of Ashir Azeem as a director, producer and actor, was banned by Sindh government and later by the federal government after no more than three weeks of screening.
Now, around two months after the ban, the film is set to release in the Middle East, United States, Canada, United Kingdom and Australia. Talking to Express Tribune, Ashir Azeem shared, “At first, there were no plans but since the judgement is reserved for the court case, we are going ahead with the international release.”
“The information ministry reserves the right to ban any film at any time. Maalik has been banned because it shows a former chief minister as a man of corruption and opulence.”

It was a long awaited, being the comeback project of Aashir Azeem after nearly 22 years where his last project Dhuwaan a TV serial was aired in 1994 on the Pakistan Television.
Maalik registered respectable total over the Weekend with figured going close to 1.5cr approx. However this earning in is far less then other Urdu films Ho Mann Jahan and Bachaana which earned 4.50 crore and 2.2 crore on their opening weekends.
There can be multiple factors for that, Maalik has to compete with recently released Bollywood’s Kapoor & Sons and Ki aur Ka as well as Hollywood’s Batman vs Superman all of which are recording excellent occupencies and business.
The major revenue of Maalik came from the Federal Capital Islamabad followed by Karachi and Lahore. The response in Lahore was dull which reflected in the overall collections of the film.

Seeing the appeal of Shahrukh Khan starer flicks among the audience the cinema halls will definitely allot the premier time slots to Fan from upcoming Friday 15th April 2016 which will impact the business of Maalik further.

As per the official facebook page of Maalik, A letter issued by the Sindh Government today said that the Word CM (Chief Minister) should not appear in the film. This is despite the fact that all observations from the Sindh Censor Board were complied with and the film was in Cinemas for three weeks. Suddenly the film has been banned from Cinemas in Sindh. The police has also been been instructed to take action against Mr. Ashir Azeem.
The news resulted in outrage on social media against the Sindh Government and after few hours the government withdraw the earlier notification.

Year 1994 saw Dhuwan on air on our TV Screens. It was a thriller based on a team of law enforcement officials who would go to any length to catch criminals. Not only it became super hit and gained cult status over the years but also became claim to fame of its actor and writer Ashir Azeem. The guy who could have done dozens more serials went into hibernation after that and it’s only in 2015 that he could be seen in media again this time for a movie Maalik. As the movie has been directed, produced, written by and acted by Ashir Azeem naturally your expectations are high. With these expectations I entered the movie theatre screening Maalik.
The opening sequence shows Retd Maj Asad’s (Ashir Azeem) security agency chasing kidnappers and rescuing a kidnapped boy.It is done in style in high octane sequences. Once the boy is rescued Major Sb decides to hand him over to the police as ‘It is the right thing to do’. Why is it the right thing to do at this juncture we are never told along with many other unanswered questions in the movie.
Major Sb confesses to murder of two civilians committed years ago and to elaborate on the details we divulge into the past through flashbacks. Major Sb was a serving army officer in SSG then and due to his commitments hardly gave time to his wife. On one such occasion where he is away rescuing kidnappers Chinese citizens, his pregnant wife meets with an accident and loses her family after giving birth to a girl Urooj. For Urooj Maj Asad takes retirement and forms a security company along with his Retired Maj Gen father (Sajid Hassan). They are tasked with securing the life of a corrupt to the core CM (Hassan Niazi) who has ruined the life of School Master Mohsin (Ehtashamuddin) who dared to contest election against him in a village in interior Sindh. Corrupt CM raped and killed the daughter of Mohsin and had Mohsin’s son framed for the murder with the help of his accomplice, local police inspector played by Rashid Farooqi. Adnan Shah Tipu plays the main henchman of CM who does all his dirty work including stuffing the ballots to get him elected.
CM eyes a poor Afgan girl, traps her to come to him and rapes her. In retaliation the girl’s brother tries to kill CM, Ashir Azeem intervenes and kills the guy and since he could not tolerate the rapist and corrupt CM he kills him also but is not charged for either of these murders. It is from there onwards that he becomes a messiah rescuing the oppressed in the society through his security agency.
The film actually has so many characters that it was not possible to do justice with all and it shows on screen. Besides the flashbacks are too long and beyond a certain point you want these three individual tracks to be over which is a major letdown as each of these tracks has high emotional quotient.
There are unnecessary elements as well such as the love story between the raped Afghan girl and a security official which seems forced in the narrative. We are also left wondering about the son of Maj Asad when he never married after the death of his wife. Songs are good and help to take the narrative forward and thankfully no item songs. Cinematography is brilliant capturing Interior Sindh,Karachi and Balochistan beautifully. You are awe struck by the beauty of your land.
The movie is soaked in reality as it shows the true faces of corrupt politicians, policemen and their cronies. It shows the plight of poor in our society specially women and for it, it deserves brownie points as it evokes patriotic feelings. Equally commendable is the way humour has been injected in an otherwise serious movie. You would carry many dialogues home from the movie.
Overall it is a good effort and should be watched for its performances, breath taking scenery, action sequences and good dialogues. Overly stretched flashbacks and few unanswered questions remain a let down though.

It is a fact that now this will be brushed off as a joke and humor but it does raise some questions about the double standards of the celebrities like Yasir Hussain. Yasir Hussain is known to be one such media personality who can not take criticism at all. Yasir Hussain always questions people back for questioning his choices and so does Saba Qamar, so them passing judgments and making fun of Aiman and Muneeb Butt’s personal life choices shed light on their double standards.

Lux Style awards (LSA) is now all set to come up with something new and trendy this year and the celebrities are found working really hard to deliver the best of their performances, live in the show.

Lux Style Awards are the biggest awards of the season. Yes, people have reservations about the shoddy system of nominations, nearly the same people winning every year and the lack of categories for all the talent to get recognized. This year again some of the biggest projects and performances were left out and many A-listers did not attend the show but we did get a night of glamour and fashion with all our divas trying to do their best on the red carpet. Our divas did not know what to do this year. The lack of good picks as far as fashion is concerned and many a times wearing something they cannot carry comfortably is a dilemma faced by all the divas every year. But this year Mubashira helped everyone out. Yes, the darkest day of Mubashira’s life when she got publicly divorced, all the bloggers filmed her look and that became a benchmark for our divas to replicate. Syeda Tuba Anwar:
Tuba Anwar aka Mubashira 1 was a bit too inspired. She just changed the colour of the outfit while kept everything else same.
Maya Ali:
Maya knows her style but she also looked like a borderline Mubashira 2 last night and again went with the colour of the evening ivory. Else it was another two piece outfit that she carried well-minus the Mubashira jacket.
Aima Baig:
Let’s meet Mubashira 3 aka the the music star Aima Baig. Aima Baig is beautiful and she looked beautiful but come one, isn’t this another inspired outfit?
Ayesha Omar:
Aysha Omar is the style icon of Pakistan. She can carry anything to perfection and this time, Ayesha went as a spidery Mubashira. She had the old Hollywood glam going on and the colour of her outfit was near to the real Mubashira’s. Though the spidery cape is her thing and Ayesha can always up the style game.
Ayesha Fazli:
Mrs Ali Zafar, Ayesha Fazli has a style of her own and she always wears what she feels comfortable in. She had her own version of Mubashira and she rocked it.

Saba Qamar:
Saba Qamar’s outfit was bold and she got criticized for it as well but she carried it like the way it was meant to be carried and did not shy away and started pulling down the blouse as soon as the cameras hit her.
But we think we have seen a version of this outfit before:
Inspiration maybe? But Saba had two more outfit changes during the evening and she carried them well.
Sanam Saeed:
Sanam is tall, gorgeous and she used to be a model. She carried her silver gown well and it was her first appearance as Mrs Mohib Mirza.
Hania Aamir:
Hania went the eastern route and wore a black pishwas. She looked cute as always with soft makeup complementing her look.
Reema Khan:
Reema wore a black gown on the evening she got the Lifetime Achievement Award. She looked good but she has done better looks than this for sure.
Yumna Zaidi:
Yumna needs to change her stylist ASAP. She is a gorgeous diva but her award show looks always turn out to be meh. Yumna however is the most decorated actress from Lux now and congratulations to her on this achievement.
Urwa And Farhan:
The parents to be looked the cutest and Urwa was glowing. Best wishes to them.
Hiba Bukhari:
Hiba Bukhari wore a Rashmi Kumari saaree and yes, the blouse is bold. Hiba is a beautiful girl but she was visibly uncomfortable trying to hide everything the whole night.

The nominations for the 20th edition of very popular and significant awards , Lux Style Awards (LSA) , have been announced by the makers.
This year, the category for the film awards have been omitted. Yes, there are no awards in the film category this year due to the Covid 19 Outbreak and the halt in the film production. The Lux Style Awards is commemorating its 20th year celebration too as they began in 2001, LSA has announced its nominations in the fashion, music and television categories for the year 2021 and for its 20th edition. The Major category that viewers look forward to, is television category.

The Lux Style Awards is an award ceremony that is held annually in Pakistan since 2001. The awards celebrate Fashion & Style in the Pakistani entertainment industry, Lux style awards is also regarded as the oldest event dedicated to cinema, television, fashion, music and film industry in Pakistan.
Last year Lux didn’t organize it’s ceremony due to covid but still Lux made sure to give away the awards to the winners in a very intimate event.
This year Lux is celebrating its 20th anniversary and the stunning stage has been set for today’s event. The celebrities have been donning beautiful outfits and looking stunningly gorgeous. Here are the celebrities who have just reached to Lux Style Awards.
Lux Style Awards are one of the biggest award shows in Pakistan. Although the credibility of these awards has been questioned time and again, top Pakistani celebrities always actively participate in these shows. The Pakistani showbiz industry is known for its glitz and glamour. It has designers and make-up artists who have often given many of these celebrities the most impressive looks. However, for some odd reasons whenever there is an award show, these designers and make-up artists tend to disappoint their fans and followers.
There is also the trend to adorn western outfits on award shows in general. Most often, Pakistani designers fail to give the kind of finishing and cuts to these outfits require. Unfortunately, wearing ill-stitched gowns on award functions seems to be a norm now for Pakistani celebrities. This year, the dressing of some of those celebrities who are considered ‘style icons’ and their make-up looks were not in line with their general impression of being stylish. It won’t be wrong to say that there was a serious dearth of style on the red carpet on the occasion. Some of the looks were even laughable!
Saboor Aly’s fashion sense is liked by many since she has often been seen sporting looks in dramas and in functions that were highly likable. However, this year at the Lux Style Awards, Saboor Aly was seen wearing an ill-fitted gown. Not only was this gown not appealing to the eyes but a white zip could be clearly seen hanging from one side! Apart from this major disaster, Saboor’s make-up and her styling were the worst we have seen in the recent past. In her dramas, she has been seen in better hairstyles and make-up looks. The dark lipstick and tightly gel-backed hair did not look good on her.
Several videos showing Saboor’s exit from the award function also showed how uncomfortable she was in the dress! Pakistani celebrities really need to stop insisting on wearing Western dresses on such shows at the expense of their style and comfort!
Yumna Zaidi bagged two major awards this year and she surely deserved them. Her talent is limitless and the dedication with which she gives every project her best is one of the main reasons why the public and the critics commended her effort. Usually, Yumna Zaidi does not sport glamorous looks. She is also rarely seen in Western outfits and looks the best in rather simply Eastern looks. However for this award function somehow Yumna Zaidi decided to wear a black dress which was poorly designed. This dress did not go well with Yumna’s personality and the color did not suit her since she looks lovely in pastels. Not only was this outfit boring and ill-fitted like most of the western outfits on the red carpet, but her make-up also reminded us of her look in Dil Umeed Tu Nahi. The dark lipstick and highlighting did not go well with Yumna’s innocent face at all.
This was one of the most disappointing looks from the evening because we have seen Yumna look effortlessly gorgeous in some of her interviews and dramas. Yet, for the award function, she chose a look that did not suit her at all in an attempt to look stylish!
Even though we did not have huge expectations from Hiba Bukhari since her dressing sense has hardly ever impressed us, even then she managed to disappoint us! Hiba decided to wear a simple black silk top with straight pants and tried to add the ‘stylish’ element to her outfit by adding ‘statement’ embroidered sleeves. This statement was not a stylish one at all! The outfit looked like it was designed by someone who wanted to save money by using leftover fabric to create a look that was not well thought out at all. Hiba’s hairstyle and make-up were also quite basic. She has looked better in interviews. She really needs to work on her outfits and looks not just for the award functions but also in general. Hiba can easily be termed as an actress who is in desperate need of a stylist.
Mawra Hocane transitioned from looking like someone who walked out of a fairytale to someone who looked great while she attended some of the recently held award functions. However, this year, Mawra decided to experiment once again. Although she deserves full marks for originality and for not following the lead of all the other actresses, her overall look was not awarded show appropriate at all. Her outfit was pretty basic, the kind which a girl would get made at the last minute for a wedding function! Since Mawra, just like all the other celebrities, has easy access to all the leading designers, we expected so much better from her! She could have worn a more well-designed Eastern outfit which was more appropriate for an award function. Mawra’s styling was not the best either. Her make-up was on point and better than others but her outfit and styling made her look one of the worst we saw this year.
It was good to see Mehwish Hayat in the limelight after such a long time. Since she has not been participating in a lot of showbiz-related activities, we expected her to make her presence felt by wearing something which would make her stand out. However, the dress Mehwish Hayat wore was not even exclusive. It was an outfit worn before by other social media influencers. It was also pretty basic. The color wasn’t fun either. The worst part of her entire look was her make-up and styling. Her hair extensions were dead flat and the color did not even match her actual hair color. Her make-up was loud and not the least bit pleasing. The outfit she wore for her dance performance was equally unimpressive. It seemed as if Mehwish simply wanted to make an appearance given her association with Lux otherwise she could have come up with a better look!
Mahira Khan is considered the ultimate superstar of the showbiz industry. We are pretty sure that all the leading designers would have loved to dress Mahira Khan up for the occasion yet she chose to wear an outfit designed by her best friend Feeha Jamshed. While the gown was designed well and the color looked good on Mahira, the fitting was not on point at all! We are wondering how it stayed in place during the entire function since the shoulders were dropping and it was loose from the top to the bottom. Even the sleeves were not properly fitted. The fact that Mahira played it safe with the styling and the make-up did not make this look as bad as many others but it was bad enough to make it to this list.
Aima Baig is a pop icon of the Pakistani entertainment industry. She doesn’t usually shy away from experimenting with her looks but this time around, it seemed she was not in a mood to step out of her comfort zone and decided to stick to the basics. The fact is that her gown and the overall look was so basic that it can be seen as borderline boring. The black sleeveless gown with gold accents to it doesn’t do much to add appeal to her. Her hair, makeup, and accessories are a bit too basic too. Aima Baig can definitely do better considering she has so many fashion designers and hair and makeup artists at her disposal.
Azekah Daniel has not only emerged as a strong actress over the last couple of years, she has also established herself as a trendy and fashionable celebrity who is very much in touch with the latest and current fashion trends. The pictures that she posts on her Instagram always show the kind of style she has but it is mind-boggling to see her showing up in this all-shades-of-Rooh Azfa gown. The shades of pink are not really appealing but what’s upsetting is the bad fitting and silhouette which accentuates her figures in all the wrong places. The neckline makes it look like this dress was never made for her but she insisted to fit into it. The sparkly earrings that she picked to pair with this pink gown is another choice that leaves you in a state of shock. The pink-toned makeup along with side-parted hair goes to show that she was excited to show up as a barbie doll on Lux Style Awards but ended up looking like a copy of Barbie sold in Chinese shops!
Meera has enough experience of the red carpets and award functions to know what is appropriate to be worn at such events and occasions. At this stage, she is one of the senior celebrities in terms of her association with the industry. However, just like anything can be expected from Meera, it does not come as a surprise to us that she not only chose to wear a Kaftan to an award function and on top of that, but also decided to make it look this bad. Kaftans are supposed to be loose and flowy but this particular piece was just not fit for her size. Her hair and makeup also did not go well with it. She also chose to wear a hybrid of saree and gown which ended up looking too busy with a lot happening on it. Both these pieces were unflattering on Meera’s figure and physique and not to forget the poor choice of hair and makeup made her look unappealing.
This is one such look from Lux Style Awards 2021 that has left everyone wondering about the style statement (if any). This is one particular look where only the designer Husain Rehar or Mira Sethi know what they both were trying to achieve because it is beyond anyone’s understanding as to why would a celebrity decide to show up like this. The only reason that justifies this look is that maybe Mira Sethi was confused whether she was attending a Halloween party that is why she showed up like this. This look has also made one thing clear that the wet-hair look is definitely not made for her and she should steer clear from her in all the events that she will attend in the future. This entire look is a disaster and the only thing missing from it is probably a broom that would’ve completed it and put things into perspective.
Mansha Pasha has definitely worked hard on her style and has actually understood what works for her and what doesn’t. All the pictures that she posts on her Instagram clearly show how far she can come and how well-groomed she is. However, it is unfortunate that event after event, she lands herself on the list of worst-dressed celebrities. She either tries too hard or maybe is not too bothered about looking good when it comes to award functions. She wore a creation of Sana Safinaz which was a textured bright blue gown with certain design details to it. This entire silhouette didn’t do Mansha any favors and made it look like the dress was wearing her and not the opposite which should’ve been the actual case. Her hair and makeup were definitely nice but sadly, the outfit she chose for her red carpet appearance was unimpressive.
Durefishan has definitely risen to fame in recent times after her performances in different dramas got her some recognition. This was probably one of the first main events where Durefishan made an appearance as a well-known celebrity. However, her overall appearance was too old-fashioned and was definitely not suited for her age. She picked a solid deep purple silk saree and paired it with a sleeveless blouse. The choice of solid-colored saree was boring and to add more to the boredom was her basic hair and makeup look? It looks like she was dressed for a 12th grade farewell party where all the teenage girls probably get excited to be wearing a saree for the first time and get away with how simple their overall look is. Durefishan should’ve amped up the look or if not, should’ve gone for a completely different dress altogether. The awkward placement of her hands is enough to show that she herself wasn’t feeling confident.
Sunita Marshal is yet another celebrity who has all the experience and know-how in the world of what is fashionable, appropriate for an award function, and most importantly looks good on her. Making an outfit work is one thing, but it being suitable is another and in this appearance at Lux Style Awards, Sunita Marshal failed to leave a mark. This gown with a saree like a pallu just did not make any sense. The color wasn’t appealing and the pattern of the fabric used for the drape wasn’t pretty either. The sad part is, Sunita Marshal experimented with her hair and makeup and even that didn’t do much to add more to her beauty. Her glowy makeup made her look like a grease ball and despite her outfit being airy, it looked like she was feeling the late summer heat.

2020 has been an exhausting year for the most part due to a global pandemic that crippled every avenue of business and entertainment. Keeping up with the current times, Unilever decided to cancel an in-person award ceremony of the 19th annual Lux Style Awards and went for a digital show. The Lux Style Awards office have announced the winners for this year in the arenas of fashion, films, music and television in Karachi today. The recorded ceremony will be shown online next week.

Lux Style Awards 2019 – In the industry that is all about glitz and glamour, award functions provide a great platform to all the celebrities to go all out with experimenting and coming up with great looks. It is one such night where all the celebrities gather to dazzle but where some succeed, others take the wrong turn. Lux Style Awards 2019 is one of those events too where all the celebrities come together to not only celebrate the substantial and brilliant work but also show up to make a statement. The entire social media is buzzing with the images of Lux Style Awards 2019 as it was held on Sunday July 7th and where we loved some of the looks, a few turned out to be eyesores too. This is always a part and parcel of Lux Style Awards and because the best dressed celebrities have been covered, it is our honour to pay tribute to the worst dressed celebrities too because they made us giggle or even laugh at some point! Their dresses and looks made us wonder how they could go so wrong with all the exposure they have and not to mention the fact that the leading designers dressed them up. The obsession with dressing up in Western dresses at the expense of cuts that could have easily accentuated the beauty of these celebrities had they chosen to go for dresses our designers are more ‘familiar’ with, was difficult to understand.
So, in all its glory, here’s the list of the Worst Dressed Celebrities of Lux Style Awards 2019:
Ever since Sana Javed has shed the extra weight, she has grown comfortable enough to show her skin and Lux Style Awards 2019 was no different. Sana Javed was seen dressed in a purple off-shoulder gown and we were left confused about the kind of bustier that dress had because it didn’t sit well on her curves at all. The dress was placed a bit too low to make it seem like a comfortably worn off-shoulder gown and it looked like it could fall any minute. Sana Javed is naturally pretty but the purple eye makeup and puffed up hairstyle also didn’t do justice to her beauty. Better luck next time Sana.
If you look at just her face, Mansha Pasha’s hair and makeup was nicely done and it suited her pretty face but her dress is a completely different story. The only thing good about the dress was the color but other than that, it looked like a local tailor cum designer took a cloth appropriate for formal Shalwar Kameez and turned it into a gown to be worn at Lux Style Awards 2019. Not sure why her dress had a window in front, may be it was to kill the scorching summer heat of Karachi. Better luck next time Mansha.
Every single year, every single event, every single Lux Style Awards, Nadia Hussain has made it a ritual to look weird and dress horribly and no surprises there, this year was no different. Not sure why the designer thought taking an inspiration from dhoti/patiala shalwar and turning into a bottom of the gown was a good idea. Everything about this dress, be it the color or the one sided long sleeve or the pattern, just everything is wrong about it. Not that we expect anything good from our top model but better luck next time Nadia.
Ps: The model standing at the back in black outfit has also scored a spot in this list.
Not sure why Sonya Hussyn thought she could have a take on being one of the live trophies that are handed out during Lux Style Awards. The sleeveless golden gown that Sonya wore was a downer and not sure what was happening on one of her shoulders. It looked like the designer was left with some extra piece of cloth so he or she decided to stitch it on one of the shoulder straps to make it look like some abstract design but they failed. Sonya’s hair and makeup was also not exciting, bold lip and basic eye, Sonya wears more makeup in her dramas than she wore on Lux Style Awards 2019. It also looks like Sonya’s designer tried out his napkin folding techniques while designing her dress. Better luck next time Sonya.
We’re pretty sure Nabeel was misinformed and he had no clue that he was invited to attend Lux Style Awards 2019 because no matter what, no one would deliberately dress up as a butler and show up on one of the biggest events of the year. The length of his coat was not only unflattering but weird too and we’re unable to figure out what was he or his designer thinking. The highlighting on his face didn’t make up for the complete lack of basic fashion sense. Better luck next time Nabeel.
Hybrid of Human and Chicken, this is the only thought that comes to our mind when we see Ushna Shah’s dress that she wore on Lux Style Awards 2019. Not only the styling and designing of this dress is awful but the fact that it was so ill-fitted also adds up to the negative scoring. Ushna Shah must have thought that she was making some sort of statement, yes she did but the wrong one of course. Better luck next time Ushna.
Just like Nabeel Zuberi, Momina Mustehsan also seemed to have been confused about the nature of the event of Lux Style Awards 2019. May be Momina also misplaced her invitation card and had no idea where she was headed because that yellow silk pleated skirt and embellished top was a horrendous choice. Not to forget the way this bright yellow color contrasted and competed against her bright red hair was quite alarming. We were missing some green otherwise Momina would have perfected the job of turning herself into a traffic signal. The placement of Chanel bag was again a very desperate call for attention. Bronzing that made her look muddy and highlighting that made her look greasy, it was just a bad day for her. Better luck next time Momina.
Sarwat Gillani’s hair and makeup was on-point at Lux Style Awards 2019 but the dress she wore was absolutely not made for her. It looked like Sarwat Gillani was on crunch for time so she borrowed this dress from someone last minute and it wasn’t her size at all. This dress had beautiful cuts and colors but it just wasn’t the right fit for Sarwat’s petite frame. Better luck next time Sarwat.
I guess Sadaf Kanwal dressed herself in Hi-Vis material so that she could act as a crowd controller during Lux Style Awards 2019. Neon craze has taken over the fashion world but Sadaf Kanwal is smart to be using it for her job too as a traffic controller while making an appearance at award function; hitting 2 birds with 1 stone sorts. The graphic eyeliner was a scary choice and the fitting and overall designing of this gown was awfully wrong. Sadaf’s eye makeup reminds us of Bil Batori from Ainak Wala Jinn. Better luck next time Sadaf.
Fahad Mustafa has been experimental when it comes to clothing, this is something that we often get to see in Jeeto Pakistan too and Lux Style Awards 2019 was no different. It looked like Fahad Mustafa ran out of options so he took his wedding Sherwani and snipped it to make a coat out of it. The white finishing adds another low-grade touch to his coat. Better luck next time Fahad.
Iqra Aziz is the talk of the town right now after bagging 2 awards and getting engaged to Yasir Hussain at Lux Style Awards 2019. All that has been celebrated but can we put that aside and look at the clothes that she was wearing? That huge cape which could cover a 4WD like Toyota Prado made no sense whatsoever attached behind a tiniest of embellished white suit that she was wearing. The design on the cape was may be inspired by infamous Pakistani truck art but was a modern version of it. Rumor has it that in order to look like Deepika Padukone Iqra Aziz also went for a sleek ponytail but the thing is, later as the night progressed, it was no longer to be seen especially during those moments when Yasir Hussain proposed her? May be the fake pony fell off and Iqra didn’t notice since she is used to short-hair and not having so much of hair weight on her head. That remains a mystery. Anyways we’re not sure about what was happening with Iqra that night. Better luck next time Iqra.
Saba Qamar has also been included in the best dressed list because the simple white gown that she wore was a great choice but we are not too sure about the second option that she wore; a sparkly embellished bustier and pants with long shrug. The bustier was not only skimpy but it was unflattering too. The ruffled lace on the bustier was a weird choice as well. Not too sure why the shrug was a part of the outfit as it didn’t serve any purpose. Saba Qamar’s make-up and styling was on point but this outfit had lingerie written all over it and we are rolling our eyes. Better luck next time Saba.

It is that time of the year for one of the biggest events Lux Style Awards 2019 which were held on Sunday July 7th. Lux Style Awards 2019 was a star studded event with a lot of celebrities gathering to celebrate the brilliant work that has happened the past year. Lux Style Awards 2019 took place in the city of Karachi but the show has not aired yet. However, the results are out and the social media is buzzing with the news and reports. Suno Chanda, Dar Si Jati Hai Sila won awards in a lot of Television categories whereas in Film and Music, Teefa In Trouble bagged a lot of awards too.
