Karachi Kings won PSL5’s trophy last night. All the team members and their supporters were extremely happy and celebrated with full enthusiasm. Due to coronavirus, the final match got delayed but it was worth waiting. An amazing performance was given by the whole team on the field.

First everything in the country remain shut for around two decades due to terrorism and then we had events start a few years back. The music scene started opening up again but by then the people as well as those who organize these events had forgotten how to handle it. This year’s Karachi Eat started at a positive note and then went on to become a disaster.

Karachi Eat is an event that is known for good food, good times and some music but things went horribly wrong on Day 3 when single men started gate crashing and women were harassed at a live concert. Kaifi Khalil was performing who left his concert midway as he cannot stand men harassing innocent fans who have just come to watch him.

Kapoor and Sons is Fawad Khan’s next Bollywood film which has been directed by the very famous and talented director Shakul Batra and produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. The film is due to be released on 18th March but the promotions for the film have already started in full swing. Sidharth Malhotra and Fawad Khan play the role of brothers who it seems fall in love with the same girl which creates problems between them. It looks like Fawad Khan has a very important character to play in the story, one which is just as important as that of Sidharth Malhotra. As per press reports Fawad Khan has played an important role in the film. His character is a bit unusual too as he is playing the role of a gay. The highest opening weekend of 2016 lies with the local Urdu film Ho Mann Jahan which earned nearly 4 crore on its opening weekend.

Kapoor & Sons might have surpassed the record of Ho Mann Jahan, but it suffered on Saturday due to India/Pakistan T20 cricket match. Also constant rains in Islamabad have impacted the business as well as Islamabad the national capital of Pakistan is also a huge market for Bollywood films.

In a recent interview with The Indian Express, Kapoor and Sons director Shakun Batra shared how he misses Fawad Khan.

“I miss him a lot. I don’t know if I am supposed to be quiet about it.. and I don’t miss him because of any other things, I miss him simply because he is a great guy and he is a lovely collaborator.”

He added, “We Indians who work around the world, we do it legally, similarly, if somebody else wants to work legally in our country, it should be open. It should be a two-way street.”

I feel bad about whatever treatment he is receiving in Pakistan because he was not only a cricketer but also the former Prime Minister of Pakistan. I don’t know what charges are against him, but the treatment should be fair. My plea is that he should be given justice and treated fairly. We were proud when he became Prime Minister, and now I am concerned about how he is being treated.
