Vivek Oberoi Talks About Love & Association with Pakistanis

When you come to Dubai, you realize, no matter how strongly Indian you are, you come here and you see the way the Pakistanis, Bangladeshis, Nepalis, and Sri Lankans love you, you start to lose the sense of boundaries. That Bollywood villain, which is on the other side of the border, starts to feel like, does the hate exist? I mean, it is quite controversial to say this, but the way they love our food, our culture, our films, the way they love us, where is the hate, man? I am sure there must be a few people who might be like that. Here is the link to the video:

Vivek Oberoi as mesmerised by Muniba Mazari as the rest of us !!

Indian actor Vivek Oberoi has recently met Muniba Mazari in Malaysia and his smiles and excitement show that she has enchanted him as much as she does the rest of us with her smile as wide as the day and her heart as big as the oceans.

Vivek Oberoi as mesmerised by Muniba Mazari as the rest of us !!

While you would never wish that fate upon anyone, it’s not easy being unimpressed by the life she has been leading after the tragic accident that left her paraplegic. If you could describe her persona in one word, it would be hope, and we are not the only ones who have had our days brightened by her. Vivek Oberoi is also all smiles around her. They have a lot in common, least of all the will to make this world a better place for the underprivileged.

They met cancer patients in Malaysia and raised money for their respective charities and spent some very happy moments together. And it makes us so very happy as well that he met the one person from Pakistan, whom we all are so unanimously proud of.

Visaal Last Episode Story Review – Simply Perfect!

Opening Thoughts:

Ohkay so, Visaal came to an end tonight & I will say it was one rollercoaster ride of emotions. Hashim Nadeem deserves an award for bringing such a different love story to the table. The way the characters were written & the way he shed a light on the emotions experienced by human beings in general was the strength of this drama. Visaal had a very different story & that is why, despite the considerably slow pace, it always kept my interest intact & for me this drama was nothing short of perfection!

The Closure:

Munna turned out to be the cupid. It can also be said that he was the actual hero who took things in his hands & made sure that he stood by what he thought was right, despite his loyalties being with Akram. It was quite interesting to see both Akram & Munna in one frame because they both were in love with Pari but their approach was different. Akram loved Pari to such an extent that he didn’t even think twice before maligning her reputation whereas Munna loved Pari enough to let her go, for the sake of her happiness.

CYMERA_20180930_054536

I must say, I love how the writer showed that a book should never be judged by its cover. A weak looking harmless soul like Munna had the strength & the courage to face wrath of a strong man like Akram only because his love for Pari made him feel responsible for her. Munna always listened to Akram, he was burdened with the favors Akram had done for him too but still, he did not let any of that cloud his judgment & despite being grateful for all that Akram had done for him, Munna kept his ground in the matters concerning Pari.

Taimoor & Pari met but they had no idea that Munna will find out & listen to their entire conversation. It was very sweet of Munna to get in touch with Molvi Ghufran to finalize things because Munna knew he needed his support as he was Pari’s guardian.

Akram could not take no for an answer. He could not fathom the fact that a poor soul like Munna could outbid him & go against his wishes. Akram loved Pari but he didn’t even think that his love was only causing more destruction in her life. Akram was egoistic that is why he could not accept the fact that things could go against his wishes too. To be honest, seeing Akram pleading his love for Pari & dying did make me emotional. He was unapologetically like that, because of which he didn’t or couldn’t even realize where he went wrong. Akram had no one to guide him plus he also never looked for guidance either. Akram was an island within himself – complete, faultless, entitled & deserving, that is why he could not even for a second think or grasp the fact that a girl like Pari wouldn’t want to see him as his life partner.

CYMERA_20180930_054739

Everything ended on a clear note. Munna did get arrested because of shooting Akram but he emerged as a hero in front of everyone as he took care of Pari’s dignity. Pari & Taimoor met their happy ending because things worked in their favor & it was only because of Munna’s persistence, kindness & big heart that he turned the destiny in their favor.

Closing Thoughts:

To be honest, now that Visaal has ended, I am left with that feeling of emptiness because I will miss watching this drama. It is a rarity to have dramas like Visaal which are so unique yet so interesting. Hashim Nadeem has really given us a drama to remember & what’s amazing is that he balanced everything out. He used all these characters to counteract & neutralize situations when they got out of hand. Visaal had everything; comedy, jealousy, hatred, revenge, love, drama, action – it was a complete package which was executed just the way it deserved to be. In recent times I have seen a few good dramas but Visaal surely takes the lead because of its uniqueness.

I must say, I loved how after such a long time we got to see a positive pious character like Molvi Ghufran who was forgiving & very simple-minded. Who was well aware of the mistakes of his daughter & blamed himself for failing as a parent. Akram – never seen before in our dramas but still such a well-written character where despite knowing his reality, the viewers wanted things to work for him. Naheed – best friend who ended up becoming Pari’s worst enemy. A beautiful father-daughter relationship. Undeniable loyalty which Doodh Patti had towards a stranger like Akram that he met on a train station randomly. Selfless & pure love which Munna had towards Pari. There were so many aspects to this story which were done so so so well & it all added charm to this drama. Zahid Ahmed should take a bow for such a brilliant performance. I am sure no other actor could have done justice to Akram the way he did. Saboor Ali shined as Naheed too. The actors who played the roles of Munna & Doodh Patti were beyond brilliant. They may be side characters but their presence was of utmost importance in this drama. Firdous Jamal, Tahira Imam, Ismat Zaidi & Hania Aamir were brilliant too. The director should also take a bow for directing this drama perfectly. The OST & background score was just perfect as well. Overall, Visaal was an amazing drama & I will remember it for a very long time. Please share your thoughts about the last episode of Visaal.

Visaal Episode 9 & 10 Review – Engaging & Entertaining!

Ohkay so, these two episodes of Visaal were pretty interesting & thoroughly entertaining. Visaal has become one such drama that I actually look forward to & enjoy watching. The story is simple, the execution is simpler but the overall impact, despite being simple is somewhat magical. It is like you are not watching a drama but a tale…the sepia tone with that music in the background really take the overall experience of watching Visaal a notch higher!

Akram decided to become Akku in front of Naheed for the very first encounter they were going to have. It is because Akram is not only not interested in Naheed, but also because he is not in love with her. I was actually surprised to see Akram pulling off this stunt because he wasn’t scared of Molvi Ghufran or his image, considering Naheed could tell on him.

Naheed’s aloofness & cold attitude just shows how she is not happy with this marriage. Akram doesn’t meet Naheed’s expectations & standards that she had set for her life partner. She just surrendered & that is why she herself is in no mood to make things work that is why even after seeing Akram’s reality, she just didn’t react, or may be she assumed that he was being a bit too casual in front of her now that she was his wife? But then again, the kind of conversation Akram had with Naheed, talking about the boys who must’ve been interested in her should’ve shaken Naheed a bit at least but she really didn’t seem bothered. This entire behavior of Naheed actually sheds a light on the emotional battle that she is fighting within. Naheed can not seem to concentrate on anything because the guilt of betraying her best friend Pari, the one who trusts Naheed with her life, is weighing her down. Even though Naheed poses to be all normal but deep inside, she has this mayhem which is her undoing. As I was thinking about it, I would hate to see Molvi Ghufran & his wife getting hurt & betrayed by Akram but honestly, this is something that Naheed has called upon her, herself!

Finally, Shabbir & Pari were back on track. Shabbir himself saw how Pari isolated herself & to some extent was punishing herself too & being a loving father that he is, he just couldn’t ignore his daughter anymore. It was so sweet to see Shabbir putting every ounce of embarrassment aside, only to promise Pari that he will take her to see Naheed. Shabbir knows that Naheed means so much to Pari, that is why, he wanted to make her happy. The conversation that Pari & Shabbir had trying to bring themselves to find out who it was that destroyed their lives was so heart-renching. Shabbir thought it must be someone ‘new’ someone who didn’t know Shabbir & Pari personally to do something like this. I wonder what their reaction will be when they will find out that it was Naheed?

Shabbir was already in hot water at his job & people thought merging his personal life with his professional was their right, that is why, they not only demoted him from his position but also decided to elect a new union leader too. It was good to see Shabbir fighting for his rights but then, there was not much that he could do as he never ever imagined that this professional animosity would take such an ugly turn that he’d get attacked like that.

Akram finally got to meet Pari, the girl of his dreams but then his friend also told him that she was recently involved in a scandal. I liked that even though Akram has an ulterior motive, he decided to get to the root of this issue & I truly believe he is the only one who can solve this case. Yes, he is doing it for his love of Pari but I am kind of relieved that he has Naheed in his grip, that will make things quite interesting & I am sure a bit difficult for him too because Naheed will try to steer him away from the clues that might get him closer to her; the culprit! I so wish, Taimur had manned up a bit & contacted Shabbir or Pari on a personal level but he just ran away. Yes, Taimur does feel bad & wants to fix everything but then again, he left everything behind like a coward. Taimur is wise enough to know how this scandal must be affecting Shabbir & Pari so in stead of listening to others, he should take matters in his hands!

Overall, I really really enjoyed watching these two episodes & it just keeps on getting better but then again, praising any drama these days seems like a bad idea because it then guarantees unnecessary prolonging & dragging if it starts doing well with the audience. I so hope that is not the case with Visaal. At first, I was not feeling Zahid Ahmed’s acting but now he has won me over, I really enjoy Akram’s subtle conniving attitude which Zahid has portrayed brilliantly. Saboor Ali as well as Hania Amir are doing a great job too. I am not sure why Tauqeer Nasir is overplaying a majboor baap, his expressions give the vibe of it being an ‘act’ & not a natural peformance. Anyways, I am looking forward to the next episode. Visaal Episode 8 Review – Interesting!

Ohkay so, this episode of Visaal revolved around Naheed’s marriage & Pari’s continued suffering. This drama is very likeable, though simple but the team of Visaal has shown how simple dramas if done well, work well too. Things have become pretty intense, so let’s see how the story will unfold!

Naheed tried to convince Pari that she should attend her wedding but even though Shabbir gave her the permission, Pari knew that she couldn’t really face the world. Pari did the right thing by not going because the ladies there were still judging her except Jumman Bua who genuinely wanted Pari to attend her best friend’s wedding as she knew what Naheed meant to her & what sort of relationship they both shared. Jumman Bua is the only one who feels for both Shabbir & Pari & that is why despite being told not to, she keeps on visiting them as she knows that they are going through a hard time.

Naheed gave her one last try to find Taimur & fix things up but that couldn’t happen because he had left. At least Taimur did leave a message behind & as he said, he was trying to contact Naheed too but he couldn’t get through. The misunderstanding between Taimur, Pari & Shabbir is not going to get resolved it seems because what he wrote in his letter is what Pari has told her father a million times but not sure if he will ever be able to trust her again. I hope Pari hands over the letter to Shabbir but then again, she will be scared because he might misunderstand her again too as to how did she get a letter from Taimur?

Well, Akram got married & even with all the lies, everything worked in his favor only for him to find out that he got married to the wrong girl. I don’t know why but I found that entire situation quite funny especially Dilbar’s questions & reactions made it more humorous. Akram got fooled but he just didn’t give up. It is unfortunate that he still hasn’t dropped the idea of finding Pari because in all honesty, he wasn’t in love with Naheed so he won’t be considering the fact that he will be ruining her life. Akram is someone who will go to any extreme to get what he wants & he also wouldn’t care if he will end up hurting people because he is just cold & selfish like that. I am interested to see how Pari’s love will bring any changes in his personality, if any?

Overall, it was a very interesting episode that I had a good time watching. Yes, some of the scenes showing Pari’s sorrow were a little stretched but then that’s alright. I’m really liking everyone’s acting but I really have a good time watching Saife Hassan as Dilbar, he is really funny. Hania Amir, Saboor Ali & Zahid Ahmed have done a good job too. Please share your thoughts.

Visaal Episode 7 Review – Super!

Ohkay so, this was yet another interesting episode of Visaal. What I love about this play is the simplicity of both, the characters & the story-telling. This drama shows that if a simple script is well-written & well-directed, it turns out to be a drama that is worth watching.

Shabbir & Pari were still struggling. Shabbir couldn’t come to terms with what happened & that is why he was still bitter. Pari has gone into this shell & despite not being guilty, she is feeling like that because she is seeing how hard her father is suffering. Jumman Bua’s scene was so emotional, it is good that at least she has all her sympathies with Shabbir & Pari & her presence at least pacifies them a little, even though both of them haven’t come out of their misery yet!

Taimur proved to be a coward & left without saying a word. If not Pari, he should have contacted Shabbir despite his boss telling him not to because he himself was well aware of the fact how Shabbir & Pari’s life was ruined. Even though Taimur did think of calling his mother which would’ve showed that he was ready to give Pari the respect but going away proved the otherwise.

Akram, Yasmin & Dilbar succeeded in doing what they came together for, which was fixing his & Naheed’s marriage. Yasmin was right, Naheed was not happy but it wasn’t the news of her marriage that was bothering her, it was the guilt of wronging Pari that was making her restless. I enjoy seeing how Yasmin every single time snubs Dilbar & how he is always left speechless, lol. What Yasmin said to Akram about wronging his lady love hinted that may be she has been through the same too that is why she assumed the same about Akram. I am low-key rooting for Dilbar & Yasmin, they will make a very interesting couple, lol!

The way Shabbir’s colleagues spoke about the entire fiasco showed the reason why Shabbir was so not ready to face the world yet but those things apart, all the comments those oldies made about Pari were cringe worthy & left a very bad taste in the mouth. Last time one of them praised her for her beauty which was not cool but still somewhat acceptable if we take it as a general conversation but now the things he said about witnessing her beauty with his own eyes was cheap.

The precap showed that Akram will eventually find out that he is getting married to Naheed & not Pari, will this eventually turn out to be karma’s spin on Naheed where she will get humiliated in front of everyone too by facing this rejection, the way Pari faced humiliation because of her? Things are super interesting so far & I can totally see them getting even better in the remaining episodes. All the actors are doing a wonderful job but till date I haven’t been able to come to terms with Zahid Ahmed’s wig. Even though I like how this drama has a very subtle dramatic feel to it, still everything in it is believable but his wig is another story. Please share your thoughts.

Visaal Episode 6 Review – Excellent!

Ohkay so, this episode of Visaal was very impressive because all the emotions were conveyed in a very convincing manner. Visaal is well & truly becoming my favorite drama & also the one that I have started looking forward to every week because I know I will not only have a good time but also because the drama has a proper story which is being told in a very nice manner!

Naheed did what she had decided but I liked that Pari didn’t beat around the bush & she quickly & clearly talked Taimur out of the misunderstanding he had about getting an invitation from her. It was good that Taimur also respected everything that Pari said & immediately decided to go back while still being apologetic for getting too excited without giving everything a second thought. Even though both Pari & Taimur had a clear cut conversation, the fact that they were locked inside the house was a reason enough for everyone to misconstrue to entire situation. No one thought of giving Pari benefit of the doubt because everyone was too busy believing what they saw in stead of thinking about getting to the crux of the situation to find out the reality.

Pari’s life turned upside down, everything just changed, her relationship with her father, her image, her reputation, each & everything was stained & there was no way for Pari to prove her innocence. Naheed felt guilty, she did, that is why she came back to unlock the door but it was too late. Naheed immediately realized that what she did was wrong but because she saw everyone’s wrath, she couldn’t even imagine speaking out the truth to let everyone know that Pari wasn’t guilty of anything wrong.

Naheed knew she made a mistake & that is why she not only cursed herself but she just couldn’t be at ease, both mentally & emotionally. Everything that Naheed’s mother said about Pari when Ghufran told her about the expected visit of Akram & his family went to show that despite wanting to, Naheed will have to stay quiet because she could see what her confession would do to her & her family!

I must say I really really like Molvi Ghufran’s character in this drama. He not only tried to rationalize Shabbir’s behavior, he also advocated Pari in front of everyone when they started making assumptions about her character. Even though Ghufran is a side character, I really like that the writer has made him rational, positive & worthy of the respect people extend towards him because of his demeanor & good character. Such a refreshing change seeing a religious character in a positive light.

It was not only Pari who was struggling, Shabbir was finding hard to come to terms with whatever happened as well. Even his trust on all the relationships shattered & that is why he had a lot of malign in his heart against Jumman Bua too, someone who has raised & taken care of Pari like her own child.

Taimur was being pressurized to put the entire blame on Shabbir & Pari to which he immediately said no but not sure if he will be able to hold his ground & not do what the authorities were demanding. Obviously, Taimur wouldn’t want a dent in his image or his career but he respected Pari enough as well to do as what he was being told to. I really hoped that after receiving a random meaningless phone call from Naheed before, at least Taimur had suspected her but he didn’t, at least I feel he didn’t have the reason to not think on those lines but he just ignored it completely. Well Akram arrived with his false family to leave an impression on Ghufran’s family, let’s see if he will be able to find out that Naheed is Ghufran’s daughter & not Pari?

Overall, this episode was excellent. Everything that happened & the way the entire scenario unfolded was brilliant. The director for sure is doing complete justice to the script & Hashim Nadeem has done it once again. All the actors are just in their element when it comes to acting & I love the overall chemistry between all of them, it makes them come across very real. Please share your thoughts.

Visaal Episode 5 Review – Very Interesting!

Ohkay so, this episode of Visaal was quite interesting. As the story is progressing, I am liking it more & more. The way the story is being told is simple but super interesting & the characters are very simple too but the overall execution of this drama makes it a worth-watch.

Akram was on the hunt for finding a perfect Bhabhi for himself, someone who could help him in getting closer to Pari. Akram’s choice was obviously unique but he knew that that’s where he will get the lady that he was looking for & the people at that end will do as he says once given the money. Yasmeen’s character was quite interesting & made quite an impression in the introduction. I really hope she plays an important part & saves the girl whose life is at stake!

Well, the news already made it to Shabbir’s work place & people started talking that Taimur was being too generous & friendly when it came to Shabbir. It was sad that even Pari’s name was being dragged but then again, those were not just mere rumors as this was Taimur’s intention behind getting closer to Shabbir. To add more to it Taimur also invited Shabbir & Pari to his house to get to know them on a personal level & to make some ties with them as well.

Pari resisted but she gave in & visited Taimur. Pari isn’t oblivious of Taimur’s intentions & even though she is keeping her sweet distance, she still understands all of his hints. Taimur left quite a good impression on Naheed & Jumman Bua too that is why she couldn’t stop praising him in front of Ghufran’s wife.

Well, what Naheed did was something that I just didn’t see coming but let me just say, it was a perfect twist & I guess much needed to in this simple one-tracked story. Naheed couldn’t resist getting jealous of her friend & even though she tried to get friendly with Taimur, she was hurt & upset when she saw that he was totally into Pari & couldn’t stop talking about her.

What Naheed did like writing a letter to Taimur posing to be Pari & then locking the gate once he was inside was shocking. Obviously the dynamics of the story will change but the thing that I will be sad to see the most is a strain in Pari & Shabbir’s relationship. It would be quite upsetting because obviously their father-daughter relationship was so sweet & just perfect but now it will go through a bad phase, all because of Naheed. I must say that though the things are for worse but is it good that there is more to Naheed’s character!

Overall, it was an amazing episode. All the characters have their thing happening & there is so much that they are going to offer. I think Taimur will be turned down by Shabbir even when he will approach him for Pari’s proposal & that’s when Akram will come in the picture & in Pari’s life too. The direction & the acting is top-notch. Definitely looking forward to the rest of the drama. Please share your thoughts.

Visaal Episode 4 Review – Interesting!

Ohkay so, this episode of Visaal was quite interesting & I had a great time watching it. I liked how the story in all the tracks moved forward & everyone was going through one thing or the other which collectively contributed towards the development in the plot.

Taimur couldn’t stop thinking about Pari & because he interacted with Shabbir quite often, it always kept his mind engulfed in Pari’s thoughts. Taimur’s sudden change of attitude towards Shabbir was obviously & only because of Pari as he automatically started seeing him as Pari’s father & not just as a mere worker.

Taimur got a chance to see Pari & Pari also apologized to Taimur for everything that she said, even though it was a half-hearted apology. Well, I loved the way Shabbir enthusiastically spoke about Pari’s higher education, it is so nice to see a father like him on screen who is least worried about his daughter’s marriage & actually wanted to ensure that Pari got the guidance she needed to pursue her education further. It obviously came as a golden chance for Taimur because he not only had a conversation with her but it also opened a window for future interactions as well. Even though Pari at first wasn’t too impressed but later it was obvious that even she was thinking about Taimur & those thoughts were positive as they brought a smile to her face!

I felt for Naheed a lot, she is such a bright, young & aspiring girl who has so many dreams but because she knows that her parents are interested in her marriage, she has to surrender. Everything that she said starting from her status to the sort of guys who will approach Ghufran for her actually made me feel for her & especially knowing what sort of a person Akram is, I feel for her even more!

Ghufran has pretty much made up his mind but then again, I don’t blame him because Akram has created such an impression & weaved such a trap that Ghufran & even his companions couldn’t help seeing him as an eligible bachelor. It is funny that Akram thinks he is going to get married to Pari, that is why he is going through so much of hassle of arranging everything which assures his marriage. I know it is all fun & games till this point but once everyone will start getting hurt & their sufferings will begin, things will become serious & emotional!

Akram decided to turn Dilbar Paanwala into his elder brother & not only that, Akram really is making sure that he doesn’t leave any loopholes which might hinder his plan from materializing, that is why he decided to visit Multan as well to arrange a sister in law, as well as find himself an authentic address which he could give to Ghufran!

Visaal has been quite an interesting watch so far, the dialogues, all the situations, the relationships that all the characters share & the overall setting of the story & drama is really nice & makes it a very good watch. The acting & the direction of Visaal has been superb & they are doing justice to the characters as well as the script of the drama. I can totally foresee that things will become complicated & serious but I am sure it is going to be worth it. Definitely looking forward to the next episode. Please share your thoughts.

Visaal Episode 3 Review – A Misunderstanding!

Ohkay so, this episode of Visaal was not only interesting but entertaining as well. I am glad that in this drama the writer has refrained from adding some strict & stern characters as seen in his previous projects, it somehow makes all the situations very light hearted & appeasing.

This episode was all about a huge misunderstanding that Akram was a victim of. He obviously frequents Ghufran’s place because he has assumed that Pari is his daughter that is why when Ghufran’s friend started talking about the marriage that too in front of Ghufran, Akram didn’t hesitate one bit & immediately made it seem as if he was ready because he obviously has Pari on his mind.

Taimur ended up succumbing to Shabbir’s pressures & it was obviously because of Pari as he has fallen for her at first sight. Taimur couldn’t really stop thinking about her & he did what Shabbir demanded in order to leave an impression on Pari. Shabbir was obviously very touched & impressed by Taimur’s display of respect & generosity towards him & his colleagues but little did he know that it was only because Taimur had something rather someone else on his mind.

Ghufran’s friend spoke to him about the potential of Akram marrying Naheed. I loved loved loved when Ghufran said that he will speak to his wife first because he trusted her intuition. I must say Hashim Nadeem has written some very dominating & staunch male characters in his previous dramas like that of Molvi Aleemuddin in Khuda Aur Mohabbat & Dhaani’s father in Dhaani but I am so glad he decided to go easy this time & this different spin on male characters has changed the dynamics of the entire drama. Even though a lot of focus has been made on how protective Shabbir is, but despite being a single parent & father, he has never stopped Pari from being herself. Yes, the way he guides her & protects her, shows his concerns as a father but it is beautiful that they both share such a beautiful bond with each other where they joke about things & are more like friends. Also, even though Ghufran is a Molvi, he is easy going & not as strict as they are usually shown in our dramas. The way Naheed gets the edge to fulfill her wishes & the way Ghufran spoke about discussing Akram’s proposal with his wife went to show that he believes in giving the ladies of his family their rights & respects their status as women.

So, Akram got to know that Pari’s name is Naheed. Pari on the other hand also convinced Naheed to say yes to Akram’s proposal so that she could save herself from her cousin who was known for eating Paan. Akram will definitely go ahead with this marriage because he thinks Pari is Ghufran’s daughter, quite an interesting twist!

Overall, this episode was quite interesting & the story is moving forward in a very nice manner. However, I will say that for me it is unconvincing & more like a glitch that Akram runs a shop in Ghufran’s area & everyone knows him but no one has told on Akram that he sports a very different look when he is not with those Masjid people like his leather jacket & stuff? Not sure when this aspect will be covered & when this image of Akram will be exposed, let’s see. All the actors are doing a wonderful job & both Hania Amir & Zahid Ahmed are in their element. Please share your thoughts.

Visaal Episode 26 – Story Review

Opening Thoughts:

Ohkay so, this episode of Visaal took the story towards the winding up of the drama. Even though they have taken a good span of time to do so, I am glad that the drama is finally ending but the fact remains that Visaal happens to be one of the best dramas of this year because of the newness of the plot & characters!

Developments:

This episode of Visaal revolved mostly around what Taimoor felt & wanted to convey to Pari. Molvi Ghufran clearly told Taimoor’s parents that Pari was engaged to be married but Taimoor persisted that he wanted a single chance to let her know what he felt. It was nicely conveyed that Taimoor felt guilty during the time he was away, it made things quite real because it showcased how people have conscience that does not let them feel at peace especially when they know they have wronged someone.

CYMERA_20180924_214030

Akram continued to push his agenda by further trying to stain Pari’s reputation but Munna chose to ignore whatever he heard about Pari. It is nice to see that Munna has his own mind too & despite being innocent, he holds a strong sense of judgment that is why he doesn’t let anyone’s opinion change his own opinion about Pari. Munna did fall in love with her based on how Pari looked like but after interacting with her he has fallen for her innocence & it is sweet that he is doing everything to prove his true love.

Pari finally gave Taimoor a chance, she read his letter but she is also ready to meet him. She knows that he has a lot on his mind & he is looking for a chance to explain himself. I am sure by now everyone can predict who Pari will end up with but the way things are progressing makes it all very interesting!

Closing Thoughts:

Overall, this episode of Visaal was nicely done. I am glad the drama makers took their time in showing the plot before & are now taking the time to reach to the closure as well. It is good that we all can say that the ending of this drama won’t be rushed & things will wind up properly. I wish there was more to Pari’s character but still the mental & emotional growth she has shown over the past few episodes does make her a good character. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Visaal.

Visaal Episode 24 & 25 Story Review – Amazing!

Opening Thoughts:

Ohkay so, these two episodes of Visaal were quite interesting & intense. I am glad that the end of the story is coming together & things are being wrapped up incredibly. I must say it is commendable that despite the overall slow pace of this drama, as a viewer I never once lost interest in Visaal & that is mostly because of Akram’s character which for me is the best thing about this drama!

Developments in The Episodes:

Pari spoke to Munna & chose him as her safety net. Pari showed a lot of maturity & far-sightedness when it came to making a decision about her future as she had one thing on her mind & that was to get rid of Akram. Munna ended up being the only option for Pari & even all those who are associated with her because Munna actually proved that if there was one thing that he could give to her undoubtedly, it was security which Pari was in dire need of.

CYMERA_20180916_031017

Pari knew that Munna was burdened with the favors that Akram did for him that is why she put forth her conditions in front of him one of which was basically to ensure that Munna has nothing to do with Akram after their marriage. Everything aside I will say that the decision Pari took was rational but then as far as her decision of not forgiving Akram is concerned, I find it too harsh & unjustified. Pari forgot how she lost everything because of Naheed & chose to forgive her but when it comes to Akram, she is holding him responsible for what? For falling in love with her & relying on Naheed to get to her? Akram was always clear about it, he fell in love with Pari & wanted to get married to her so why & how does it make him the ultimate culprit? What Naheed did to Pari was far more evil, cruel & also happened even before Akram came into the picture so? Pari forgives Naheed & hates Akram for loving her? Yes, Akram’s approach was wrong but his intention was not & that is why he didn’t even lie to Naheed & only used her secret to get what he wanted!

Pari ended up convincing Munna too & showed him the real picture. Even though Munna is simple minded, he still wasn’t totally buying what he heard from Akram about Pari because he formed an opinion about her after spending some time with her. Munna couldn’t find logic behind everything that Akram said because even he could feel something was not right. Pari told everything to Munna & he decided that he was going to proceed with the wedding, even if it meant upsetting Akram – that is courageous & sweet at the same time!

CYMERA_20180916_031121

Akram couldn’t even imagine Pari being with Munna, hence the reaction & again he continued maligning her image to make sure Munna backs out. I feel the writer has kept Akram’s character quite real & that is why he has not changed his personality or thought process at all. Akram chose the wrong path in the beginning & he is blinded by his love for her so much that he is continuing to go the wrong way again to get Pari. Akram got a lot of time in the prison to think things through, I wish he had thought about some other way to get his feelings recognized by Pari but no, he thinks by isolating her, he will get her. Even though I can foresee the ending the writer will choose for Akram & I do agree with it, but I still feel that Akram is now being turned into the ultimate villain whereas in reality, it isn’t him, it is Naheed but her suicide has turned her into a victim? I don’t buy that. I still want things to even if not work for Akram but a chance for him to be understood & a chance where he can explain what actually happened & how things kept on getting out of hand. He deserves that at least, this is what I feel.

Closing Thoughts:

Overall, these 2 episodes or Visaal were amazing & I had a great time watching them. Hats off to Zahid Ahmed for all of those scenes which included Akram’s outbursts, he really made Akram’s emotions come through & I as a viewer could feel the intensity in his acting. It is commendable that Zahid Ahmed did not hold back & it is too obvious that he has loved portraying this character that is why he has not only owned it but done complete justice to it too. Zahid Ahmed was The Right Choice for this character so well done to the casting director for choosing him & well done to Zahid Ahmed for a phenomenal performance. I will say the actor playing the role of Munna is a very fine character actor too, he makes Munna realistically & likeably bechara & masoom – too good. The director should take a bow for extracting these performances from all the actors – amazing. Please share your thoughts about these episodes of Visaal.

Visaal Episode 23 Review Story – Should Be Wrapped Up!

Ohkay so, even though the pace of Visaal has mostly been on the slower side, this episode practically offered nothing & most of the scenes were repetitive. I guess it’s high time that they should start wrapping this drama up!

I never had a good opinion about Molviyani but after hearing what she had to say about Pari even after finding out what Naheed did made me cringe a lot. Molviyani fails to understand that she failed as a mother & whatever her daughter did was solely because of her own bad judgment & jealousy. At least, Molvi Ghufran is wise enough to blame himself for being unable to upbring Naheed properly but his wife chooses to overlook the reality. Molvi Ghufran, though hurt & sorrowful has never once steered clear of the fact that Naheed is responsible for everything that happened in Pari’s life but his wife on the other hand is blind to see that. Just like she blinded herself from Naheed’s ordeals when she was alive, she is turning her back from the facts that opened up after Naheed’s death. Molviyani has found a soft target in the form of Pari that is why she keeps on blaming her for everything whereas in reality Pari is the victim of Naheed’s wrongdoings!

Visaal Episode 23 Review Story - Should Be Wrapped Up!

Pari & Bua have started relying on Munna a lot plus he is doing everything to make sure they feel safe & secure, plus he also has another reason & that is his feelings for Pari. Munna is innocent that is why despite spending so much time with Akku & Doodh Patti, he was unable to figure out that something was definitely fishy about them & that is why the news of their imprisonment came as a shock to him!

Akram is again trying to malign Pari’s reputation only to win her. Akram’s approach has been completely wrong but his intention has always been clear – he loves Pari & he wants to be with her. Yes, the things he has done in the past & the way he has fooled people along the way does make him punishable but still, he is not the ultimate culprit because he didn’t violate Naheed or her dignity ever even though he was married to her. Well, Akram got arrested & even was tortured but then he is a tough cookie plus it is interesting that even Doodh Patti didn’t spill the beans & proved that he is loyal to Akram.

Visaal Episode 23 Review Story - Should Be Wrapped Up!

The preview of the next episode did suggest that Pari & Munna might get married. Not sure how Akram will react but then considering how Munna feels burdened because of the favors Akram has done for him, he might back out? Let’s see. Props to the writer for bringing a different story to the table. When the drama began I remember I got Dhaani & Khuda Aur Mohabbat vibes from it but I am glad despite some similarities in the overall feel & setting, the writer gave us something totally new & a layered character like Akram which Zahid Ahmed has done complete justice to. Love this drama for sure but now I am definitely looking forward to its end. Please share your thoughts!

Visaal Episode 22 Review Story – The Truth!

Ohkay so, this episode of Visaal covered the aftermath of Naheed’s decision of putting an end to her life. Everything that was shown was convincing like everyone’s reactions & the shock they all got after they found out what Naheed did.

Naheed’s letter might have cleared Akram’s name from the list of suspects but the fact remains that Molvi Ghufran & his friends know the truth about Akram & wanted to probe further after his recovery. Doodh Patti did try to keep things to himself but he also knew that Akram is going to land in deep trouble that is why he also told Munna to stay out of Akram’s business. Naheed’s death definitely distracted everyone & might also buy Akram some time to think for plan B but then again, he will have to answer a few questions because he does owe everyone an explanation. Yes, Naheed is no more, therefore Akram’s association with Molvi Ghufran has pretty much ended, so may be he might not be too keen to know why Akram fooled him plus he is grief stricken but I guess his friends would definitely want to know the truth about Akram’s background!

The police found out Naheed’s letter & handed it over to Molvi Ghufran which meant everyone eventually found out about what Naheed did but as much as I felt for him, I was glad that the letter silenced Molviyani & she got to know that it wasn’t Pari who ruined Naheed’s life, it was Naheed who was responsible for everything. I feel sad for Molvi Ghufran genuinely & I felt this respect for him even more where he stated that ‘Larki ka kisi mazhabi gharanay mai paida hona koi bari baat nahi, kamzor lamhon mai uska sabit kadam rehna hi asal tarbiyat hoti hai’. This was the dialogue of the episode. Indeed, Naheed’s parents never ever taught her to do whatever she did but then they also had no control over what she felt or how she was going to react over something as petty as a guy giving attention to Pari. Whatever Naheed did was solely her own decision & it is unfortunate that she ruined so many lives & also attempted taking Akram’s life too. I liked the fact that while blaming himself also, Molvi Ghufran reminded Molviyani that they failed as parents. I felt for him a lot!

Pari finally learned the truth when she got to read the letter. Her reaction was spot on, it was justified where she felt helpless that she couldn’t save Naheed plus she also couldn’t believe that her best friend could do something so extreme to her. Pari just cried hysterically & for the first time I found it justified though because there was no other way she could express how she was feeling because the relationship she cherished the most all her life basically boiled down to being a lie. Sad!

I am still interested to see how Akram will backtrack from what has happened but if people around him look at it that way, he actually himself is a victim so let’s see if they will go easy on him or not. Munna’s frequent visits as well as Pari’s growing comfort level with him do suggest that she will get married to him but I am not too happy about it. Let’s see what happens. Visaal Episode 21 Review – Top Notch Acting & Direction!

Ohkay so, this episode of Visaal was intense & unveiled how far one can go in the state of guilt. Top notch acting & direction has really taken this story to another level & I must say, director’s to-the-point approach in telling the story of this drama has played a massive role in everything being so impactful. In stories & dramas like these, it is very crucial that everything is told precisely & undoubtedly, the director has given it a perfect treatment without dragging anything!

Naheed made up her mind. She knows what she has done to Pari is totally unforgiveable because now Shabbir’s death can also be linked to what Pari went through. Naheed’s jealousy got the better of her & now when she has come back to senses she sees there’s not a single chance of her being forgiven because the pain that Pari endured as a consequence of Naheed’s doing is way too much. Naheed knows that Pari will be fine, she has Jumman Bua by her side & she also knows that after all that she has done, Pari is better off without her. Naheed might have come to terms with her guilt if she had seen Pari’s life shaping up but because it literally got destroyed & she lost everything one after the other, Naheed couldn’t really come out of that guilt. Akram also played a huge role & because Naheed thinks he will ruin Pari’s life, she was forced to come to a final decision!

All the things that Naheed said to Pari clearly indicated what was on her mind. That entire scene was done well & felt genuine. Naheed just wanted to make sure that Pari was alright, she was going to be alright that is why she came to see her – for the last time. I feel with the drama almost nearing the end, I don’t really see any personality in Pari, to an extent that despite knowing she is innocent, a bit too innocent & despite knowing that whatever Naheed is going through or going to go through is because of her own selfishness & jealousy, for a second I felt like Pari was responsible for everything. I know the story hasn’t been written to show that & the prime focus convincingly remains on jealousy & the destruction that it causes, but it’s just that I saw Pari as a culprit for a second. This is just my honest opinion about Pari’s character, may be keeping her a bit too simple & sulky literally took away every ounce of sympathy I once felt for her!

Molvi Ghufran finally found out that Akram faked his identity & lied about his family background right from the beginning. Ghufran still didn’t know how to approach Akram & he was upset but it was good that his friend Sharafat stopped him because he knows that Akram is not someone who will easily confess the truth. Sharafat wants Molvi Ghufran to go about this matter with a bit of tact.

Well well well, Naheed chose to punish herself in the worst way possible & she decided that she was going to put Pari’s life ahead of hers. Naheed knows that she has taken away so much from Pari, therefore she decided that it was now time to pay her back, it was now time to save her life. Even though Naheed had her reasons but if we take a closer look at Akram, though he chose a wrong way to get to Pari, he was always honest about it. He never once exploited Naheed, didn’t even mistreat her, he just wanted to get to Pari & he decided to use the approach that did involve some lying & blackmailing but those were the things that weren’t as grave as the mistakes Naheed committed, so I don’t think Naheed had the right to chose this or any kind of ending for Akram, for that matter. Whatever Naheed was doing was because of her own guilt but she didn’t have the right to poison Akram just so easily to save Pari from him? Quite evil I must say!

I am wondering if Akram will recover & Naheed will eventually die? What do you guys think? I also feel may be in order to punish Akram & take revenge from him Pari might get married to Munna? One thing that Pari would do in the entire drama & that won’t be good either! Anyways, please share your thoughts!

Visaal Episode 20 Review – Calm Before The Storm!

Ohkay so, this was yet another interesting episode of Visaal but after watching the preview of the next episode, I can’t wait for it because things are going to become quite intense. This episode still had that calm before the storm vibe with Akram pushing his agenda a bit more & still failing at it.

Sharafat tried to probe a little into Akram’s background but even though he was unsuccessful, it gave Akram a clear signal that something was definitely fishy because of which Sharafat was getting curious about his family. Akram did send Doodh Patti to Hyderabad to meet Dilbar & contact the lady in Multan but I am sure he won’t return with a good news & that will be Akram’s undoing!

The only thing that bugs me is that everyone in the locality now knows Akram, they all also know that he is Molvi Ghufran’s son in law, so it is totally unrealistic that no one has personally told Ghufran that Akram sports a very different get up when he is at the shop? They also showed in one of the scenes that Jumman Bua was passing by his shop & stopped to have a little conversation so it is unbelievable that all those people have never ever seen him in his actual get up with him having loose talk with the ladies who visit his shop?

Pari came back to her house & she was even more engulfed in the memories of her father. Obviously, he was all that she had so she might not come out of the depression of losing him just so easily. Akram decided to pay a visit & again, in such a close-knit locality, it is unconvincing that no one saw him going there that too in a get up that didn’t scream Molvi Ghufran’s son in law from any angle. Anyways, Akram tried to convince Pari but then he ended up threatening her using Naheed’s name as he knows that Naheed’s happiness is very important for Pari. Akram I feel is committing one mistake after another because of his desperation. Akram is getting carried away & in stead of trying to reach his goal positively, he is burning the bridges. Did Akram actually think that by intimidating Pari like that, he’ll be able to win her over? Pari was scared & she really had no idea what she should do because she didn’t want him to hurt Naheed!

Molviyani had nothing else to talk about but Molvi Ghufran was concerned after everything he heard from Sharafat. Obviously he didn’t pay heed to what Jumman Bua’s Devrani said but now after hearing everything from Sharafat, he couldn’t take things lightly. Even though Naheed has called it all on herself but I would hate to see Molvi Ghufran suffering because of it as he never really hurt anyone but he will end up getting affected too.

Pari & Naheed’s conversation I guess will push Naheed to do something to herself because she asked Pari about the punishment she will devise for the culprit & the answer was death penalty. Naheed knows what Pari has gone through, she has seen it all, that is why she didn’t even for a second think that Pari was being harsh. Naheed has seen how Pari’s life turned upside down that is why, she is going to take what Pari will dish out to her!

Even though things have become far more intense as well as serious in mood, the story still is very very strong for me. I love how the characters are layered & the situations are interwoven. Everyone’s equations are interlinked & it will affect every single one of them. It is interesting to see how the story that started off at such a different note has come down to this, where everyone is suffering. I must say this way of story-telling is very intelligent because the writer got us hooked to the characters & the drama & then he revealed everything. I love how Visaal has had all the flavours – it is a story of love, jealousy, betrayal, revenge & in the end, it will become a story of redemption. Will there be a space for forgiveness? Let’s see. Visaal Episode 2 Review – A Happening Episode!

Ohkay so, this episode was Visaal was quite happening. I am glad that while the story is still in the introductory stages, a lot has already started happening which is making it interesting. Despite the similarities with Khuda Aur Mohabbat, it does seem that Visaal will be a lot different. I also see a couple of love triangles forming in the future as well.

Akram has really started to form an image now. After seeing how he paved his way & got one golden opportunity after another it, it got a bit too clear as to why he wanted to get in contact with a person like Molvi Ghufran who has a good reputation in the area. It was only because of Molvi Ghufran that Akram got the headstart that he was looking for in the business. On his & his friend’s recommendation, Akram succeeded in having a smooth sail in opening his business. Once again, it is sweet that Molvi Ghufran & everyone around him has ended up trusting Akram on his face value but even though Akram did do some trickery, he didn’t deceive anyone openly to damage the name that he has earned in such a short span of time.

Shabbir ended up getting injured in the protest & Pari lost her cool. I totally see Taimur falling for her, that is why, despite being such a rigid person, he couldn’t stop smiling when Pari was insulting him because she couldn’t forgive him for what he did to her father.

Akram has fallen for Pari & it is only because of her, he chose to stay back & not run away after taking the products. Akram lost his chance of making a huge profit but so far he still has set a ground for himself, it is like he is setting a trap to further his agendas. There was this new entry named Tariq & he looked just as conniving as Akram. I am sure he will be another con artist in this group.

Naheed & Pari’s relationship seems interesting. It is also something to be noticed that despite being a Molvi’s daughter, Naheed has some interests like staying up to date with latest fashion trends & being interested in love stories. I have a feeling that she might end up falling for Akram & that will form another love triangle, apart from Taimur, Akram & Pari’s.

Overall, it was an enjoyable episode to watch. It is going to be interesting to see how far Akram will be able to keep his true identity a secret. Though this is most likely to happen but I really hope this drama doesn’t become a bit too serious. Also, I am not sure why Akram decided to be his real self in the shop, because he opened it in Ghufran’s area so anyone can tell on him because he is sporting two different images there. Let’s see. Visaal Episode 19 Review – Slow But Interesting!

Ohkay so, this was one slow episode of Visaal. Having said that, I definitely found it interesting minus the dragged scenes of Molviyani Jee. Even though the story has been stagnant from quite some time now, whatever happened in this episode was a much needed twist that is now going to change the dynamics big time!

Naheed tried to outplay Akram by sending a letter Taimur’s way but little did she know that Akram was watching her like a hawk. It was good to see Jumman Bua being on Naheed’s side but then, Naheed doesn’t know what & whom she is dealing with. Akram’s haste got the better of him & he knew that if he won’t do anything immediately, he will probably lose Pari that is why he called a meeting to let everyone know what Naheed wants. Akram worded everything very very carefully as he knew that he had to convey a message to Naheed too that she better keep the conversation that happened between her & Akram a secret otherwise he will spill the beans about what she has done. Akram used Naheed’s fear to his advantage & played using her silence because he has read her enough to know that she did not have the courage to deal with the embarrassment of everyone knowing what she did.

Everything that Akram said shook everyone to no end. Molvi Ghufran just couldn’t believe what he just heard & Molviyani obviously saw her biggest nightmare being materialized, making her feel helpless. Ghufran tried to find a solution to this issue by contacting his friend but Molviyani immediately made up her mind that Pari had to go. This was the only way Molviyani thought she’d be able to save Naheed’s marriage but she just doesn’t know that it isn’t Naheed who wants this to happen, it is Akram himself!

Everything that happened after what Akram did was pretty much dragged & made the episode slow like Molviyani’s continuous mourning, Ghufran’s conversations & Pari’s sobbing while remembering her father. Even though Pari’s character fits the dynamics of the story & every single situation so well but I so wish the writer had given her something else too because all she has done is just cry & nothing else. I know when you lost a father that too when he’s the only support system you have, like in Pari’s case, you are broken & shattered for a good span of time but then again, I really want to see Pari doing something else than just cry because after all she is the heroine in this story!

The ending scenes were again interesting with Molvi Ghufran finding the truth about Akram’s family rather lies which he told to portray himself as someone belonging to a well-reputed family in Multan. I think this is the only way Pari & even Naheed’s life will be saved from getting destroyed that Akram’s reality will be revealed. Naheed also thought to herself that she has to do something in order to stop Akram from doing this to her parents as well as Pari. Let’s see what she’ll do. Please share your thoughts!

Visaal Episode 18 Review – The Confession!

Ohkay so, things have become quite intense & interesting at this stage of the drama & by the end of every episode, I find myself looking forward to the next one. This drama sure is a piece of intelligent writing because I absolutely love how layered the characters are & how the overall story is developing!

Naheed finally confessed, she had to because Akram just didn’t leave any other choice for her than to finally bring herself to admit what she did. Naheed knew that Akram found out about everything & she couldn’t fool him further. Despite knowing Akram’s reality & his unreasonable demand of wanting to get married to Pari, I still didn’t see him in as much of a bad light as I saw Naheed. Yes, she feels guilty, yes, she has not been at peace ever since she saw Pari’s life getting destroyed but still, a few tears here & there & few anger pangs wanting to protect Pari from getting married too soon is not enough of a compensation or rather redemption to be honest. I totally think this was the right time for Naheed to say whatever she had in her heart to Pari & confess in front of her, but she proved that she still loves herself a bit more to do that by putting Pari ahead of her!

I thought Naheed will know that she has nothing to lose & because of that she will tell Pari everything but she once again tried playing the victim card in front of Pari by making Akram look like a villain in this entire situation. Yes, I will definitely give it to Naheed that she genuinely feels remorseful over what she has done but then in stead of saving Pari, she made herself look like a victim who needed help. Akram didn’t pay heed to Naheed’s pleading & he didn’t want to either because for him, Naheed is responsible for everything that Pari has gone through & that’s about it. I loved the entire conversation that happened between Naheed & Akram & how he worded his feelings & insight over this entire matter. He knows what he wants & he is open about it. I must say, because the writer introduced him in such a manner, I have grown to have an acceptance for a character like Akram & despite wanting everyone to know about his reality, I want things to work for him so that he can stop living a life of lies.

I feel Visaal has become one of my favourite works of Hashim Nadeem & it is all because of the way he has written the characters of Akram, Naheed & Molvi Ghufran. I must say, this has to be one such drama where the female lead had zero personality & still it does not effect or impact the overall experience of this story because the male lead as well as the supporting characters have such strong roles to play & have so much to offer. Even the characters like Doodh Patti, Khala, Jumman Bua, Tariq, they all in their own way contribute so much to the drama & make it a complete package & not to be missed, an added bonus of amazing acting by every single one of them where they have owned these characters & breathed life into them. I simply love Visaal, what about you?

Visaal Episode 17 Review – The Revelation!

Ohkay so, this episode marked the turning point in the story & things are going to get even more interesting as all the characters will be pushed to their limits & we will see the new reactions amidst the chaos!

Pari got rejected as per Akram’s plan because the suitor & his family got to know about Pari’s stained character & all that happened in her life in the past from someone. Akram thought he did score a win because everything unfolded just the way he wanted to. Akram surely took the help of the best, who he knew would make sure that everything happens according to his wishes & Khala took the job assigned to her quite seriously. I must say, the conversation between Akram & Khala was quite amusing & what made it even better were their expressions.

Pari was struggling, pretty much what she has been doing ever since Taimur walked in & out of her life. To add more to her woes, she got rejected & this time around even Molvi Ghufran felt dejected thinking about all the hardships that life was throwing her way. Molvi & his wife were unable to figure out who was behind all this but I am just wondering if they will ever learn the truth about Akram being responsible for all this?

Well, Naheed was unhappy, she was furious, at Pari who gave in & then at her mother who just wanted to get rid of Pari. Naheed’s reaction after finding out everything was basically because she felt helpless while still feeling guilty as she knows that she is responsible for everything to have ever gone wrong in Pari’s life till date. Despite wanting to, Naheed found herself helpless as she couldn’t help Pari the way she would have liked, also, she just couldn’t cope up with the burden that she had on her heart, especially now that she was getting to see the consequences of her doing!

Akram finally confessed everything in front of Naheed. He thought he will be able to win it by pressurizing Naheed as he had this huge secret in his hand against her to blackmail & threathen her. Akram actually thought things would work in his favor but I guess he surely underestimated Naheed. Naheed is someone who can go to any extreme, she has done it before by stabbing her best friend the way she never would have imagined, so it is so expected that she can go to another extreme too by ruining her own life to at least save Pari’s from getting ruined further. Akram probably failed to understand that & he thought that Naheed will stay quiet in fear of being exposed but little does he know that Naheed most probably doesn’t care anymore. She has felt guilty for way too long so this will probably serve as a push & pave a way for her to do something to compensate for the pain that Pari has endured because of her. It was quite interesting to see how Akram approached this entire matter, I guess he got carried away a bit too soon whereas if he had played this game a little more wisely, he would have controlled Naheed the way he wanted to. I guess because Akram riled Naheed up & because he let her know that he is well aware of what she did, that will push Naheed to confess about her wrongdoings. Naheed was only quiet all this while because she assumed that nobody knew about what she did but now when she found out that Akram knows what she did, she wouldn’t care much!

This drama is super intense & interesting plus I also like how at times it is super fun & amusing too. I love the background score they have used in Akram’s scenes, it fits & goes so well with the mood & intentions of Akram. This drama surely is an intelligent piece of work in terms of writing, direction & acting. Please share your thoughts!

Visaal Episode 16 Review – Story-telling At Its Finest!

Ohkay so, this episode like all the previous episodes of Visaal was very interesting. I like how the story is progressing & even after so many episodes, they have one thing or the other to offer in every episode.

This episode focused more & more on Pari’s wedding & everyone’s participation as well as feelings related to it. Pari feels she has no other option left that is why she has given in, despite not wanting to. Jumman Bua feels she has no say whatsoever in anyone’s personal matters because firstly no one feels the need to discuss anything with her & lastly, there’s not anything that she can do because she isn’t that self-sufficient herself to be taking care of & supporting Pari.

Ghufran finally accepted that his wife meant nothing but well for Pari, that is why he had a conversation with Pari to convince her that she should accept whatever is coming her way. It is nice to see Ghufran being so simple-minded & clean-hearted but I wish he was a little more aware of what his wife’s intentions actually are. Naheed was sent back to her house but Akram welcomed her with another hint that shook her to the core, just a little reminder to her of the day when she stabbed Pari in the back – her black shoes. Naheed obviously thinks she is dodging the bullet but I am looking forward to when she will learn the truth that Akram has all the actual details that claim she’s the culprit!

Naheed has been reminding Pari again & again that everything will sort out once Taimur will be back, but then she can not go into details to clarify the doubts Pari has in her heart against him as that will mean revealing her own secret which Naheed can not afford at this stage. Pari has pretty much lost all the hope that is why she always sounds so dejected, part of it is also because she sees her wedding looming in the future which she so wants to avoid but can not!

Akram is playing his cards well, he has picked the right person who is doing everything according to him as it will the guarantee his marriage with Pari but then again, it will be interesting to see if things will go against his plan? I do feel may be Naheed will step in once Akram will tell her how he wanted to get married to Pari, which is pretty much the next episode is going to be about but then again will Naheed choose to stay quiet in order to keep her secret hidden which Akram will threathen her with or she will put everything aside to save Pari from Akram in order to overrule the guilt that she has for ruining Pari’s life? Let’s see if this will turn out to be Akram’s mistake or he will eventually succeed if Naheed will stay silent?

Overall, this drama has surely exceeded my expectations. I must say the highlight of this episode for me was the coverage that Tariq’s feelings for Pari got. I just couldn’t stop laughing during that entire scenario where they depicted that he was in love with wind blowing in his hair, music in the background, with him jumping casually on his way back & then sitting by the wall engrossed in his thoughts – just how real I swear. Obviously Tariq is on the brink of a heart break as Akram loves Pari & he stands zero chance but then, he’s totally entitled to feel happy just with the idea of being in love with someone. Amazing acting, amazing script, even better story-telling & perfect direction – that’s Visaal for you. Please share your thoughts.

Visaal Episode 15 Review – Entertaining!

Ohkay so, this drama honestly keeps on getting better & better. What I love the most about Visaal is that even before one situation is done & dusted, another one comes to the forefront for the characters to face & deal with. Even though things have been more or less the same from the last few episodes but still there’s enough elaboration to keep us engaged & entertained!

Akram’s now focusing on only one thing & that is to isolate Pari in such a manner that she only sees him in the hour of need. Akram has his plan set, he wants to drift Pari & Naheed apart & he knows that’s no easy feat. Akram will definitely do something that will create enough distance between the girls for them to ever overcome it because Akram will keep on making sure that they never ever communicate. Akram hasn’t confronted Naheed & he doesn’t intend to either because he knows that she is not going to confess so easily & that is why he is not wasting his time on doing something that won’t yeild him any results!

Akram also took care of another issue, which was Pari’s marriage & proposals. As usual, he relied on his friend to once again create a drama in front of those who were concerned for Pari’s marriage. Naheed did give Pari a genuine advice that if Taimur ever comes back, she should get married to him but then Pari has realized that he is just a coward who will never do anything that causes a dent on his image & I agree, I hold the same opinion about Taimur too because he proved how weak he was when he chose to leave by just leaving a letter for Pari behind!

Akram’s problems are far from being over. I like how the writer has kept it realistic that even though Akram is mostly winning at things, the curveballs still keep coming his way. First it was Jumman Bua’s Devrani & now it was Ghufran’s sudden plan of going to Multan to attend a conference. I am sure even though Ghufran doesn’t doubt Akram, his wife has planted a seed in his mind due to which he now wants to meet Akram’s family. Let’s see how Akram will dodge this bullet!

Overall, it was a very interesting episode & I enjoyed it thoroughly. I must say I loved the reactions Akram had when Naheed’s mother was sincerely telling him all about those lifelong teachings that she has given to Naheed on how to be a dutiful wife – that Insha Allah at the end of the conversation did the trick & I was in a laughter fit. I know, even though Akram is a very quirky character, I find humor & realism in him in a way that in real lives people are at times exactly like him, where they sugar-coat their true feelings & pose to be all nice & sweet in front of some people. Even though things are pretty dramatic in this drama, I love it for the fact that there are some touches of reality which actually spark a humor too. It for sure is a very intelligently written, directed & acted script. However I do wish there was more to Pari’s character than a bucket full of tears, like we have Naheed who has so many layers, Akram as well but Pari even though rightfully simple & sweet now seems a little boring because all she does is just cry her eyes out. I know life hasn’t given her any reason to smile or be happy but still, you get what I’m saying, right! Anyways, Zahid Ahmed once again stole the show. Looking forward to the next episode. Visaal Episode 14 Review – Con Meets Con!

Ohkay so, another very interesting episode of Visaal but I feel the pace has been slowed down but I am not complaining. I hope this slow pace doesn’t slow down the progress that the story has made so far because the way every episode has a twist in it keeps me engaged & makes me look forward to the next episode. Here’s to hoping that, that doesn’t change & this drama stays interesting as it is!

Akku changed his look again, because he wants to stay hidden & doesn’t want the police to recognize him, but again, I am surprised that no one has told Molvi Ghufran about the look & get up that Akram sports when he’s attending the customers at his shop. Everyone is well aware of the fact that Akram Minyani Wala happens to be Molvi Ghufran’s son in law & still his secret is hidden? Doesn’t seem much convincing.

Naheed’s mother’s concerns are right for her daughter’s sake but I feel she is stuck in a rut & is on the loop about how Naheed shouldn’t worry too much about Pari & should focus on Akram Miyan. It seems even she is insecure of the fact that Pari is better than Naheed in every aspect, because even though no one draws a comparison between them but it’s like a done deal that Pari is & has always been everyone’s favorite & because of that she feels threathened that Akram might fall for Pari while still being married to Naheed due to their regular interactions. Ghufran’s wife did somehow convince him that he should let Pari go by getting her married & he couldn’t say no because she was being manipulative about it!

Well, finally the con met another con. Akram reached to a conclusion that it was Naheed who did everything, like left a letter for Taimur & ruined Pari’s life but as expected, his reaction was not the usual one where he went & confronted Naheed, rather he took his sweet time in solving the puzzle & getting to the crux of the situation as to what must have forced Naheed to do such a thing, that too with her best friend! Akram knows that he had found the secret that he will use to his advantage when the time will come & in stead of speaking to her directly, he chose to leave some hints because he wanted to see her reaction to further confirm if he was right or not!

Well, Pari broke down because she could see that people around her were running out of patience & courtesy that they had for her & she eventually ended up doing that shook Naheed’s ground – which was curse her for misfortune. Naheed very well knows that she has called this upon herself that is why she seems unbothered about everything that is happening around her, like she is so not in a mood to fix things between her & Akram, that is why despite the constant reminders from her mother, Naheed is just pre-occupied feeling guilty for ruining Pari’s life!

Akram is the best part of this drama & Zahid Ahmed’s portrayal has taken its level a notch higher. I am sure Akram won’t go easy on Naheed & he will keep on teasing her till he gets a confession from her about what went wrong & why she did all that to ruin Pari’s life, well Akram does know that it might be on the basis of jealousy but then, he will keep on guessing till he actually hears everything from Naheed! I’m honestly loving this play, it sure is one of the best one among those on air. The direction is perfect, the editing, story, characters & acting – everything works in perfect harmony & makes Visaal a complete entertainment package. All the actors as well as supporting actors should be very very proud of themselves for giving us viewers a successful drama because they all make Visaal what it is. Please share your thoughts.
