Forget the controversy of PSL happening in Lahore, because there’s a latest news doing rounds. Well, according to some local news channels Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor was barred from entering PSL’s match.
Apparently, Sonam Kapoor was stopped at the VIP entrance and was returned from there. It is said that she was invited by Javed Afridi, owner of Peshawar Zalmi, to support the team in the match against Quetta Gladiators. When the news of the Neerja star arriving came under the notice of PCB, they immediately asked her to leave.
PCB sent out the notification saying that a permit needs to be taken before inviting a celebrity. “The teams part of the PSL that are interested in inviting any international celebrity to support their team, needs to take permission from the board.”

Just when people were trying to wrap their heads around the news of Saba Qamar’s marriage to Azeem Khan, an America-based Pakistani woman named Ujala came forward and wrote a public letter to Saba Qamar. Ujala stated that she faced harassment by Azeem Khan, where he acquired her posts from a closed female-only group on Facebook and put it out on his socials to come after her. She mentioned that it was Azeem Khan who was responsible for all the hate and trolling she faced by random strangers who were sending her vile messages. Ujala showed her concern and clearly mentioned that she was disappointed with Saba Qamar’s choice because Azeem Khan was definitely not the right person. She also mentioned that he was responsible for harassing and cyberbullying women apart from her as well.
After this post went viral, Azeem Khan came forth with his version of the story and stated that it would be better if people who were putting allegations on him tried to come his way through a proper channel. Mohsin Abbas Haider and his wife Fatima Sohail came into the limelight when Fatima alleged that she had been physically assaulted and suffered domestic abuse at the hands to Mohsin.
Following Fatima’s accusations a number of celebrities including Dua Sohail and Gohar Rasheed claimed to be eye witnesses of the abuse Mohsin had inflicted upon his wife.
The case was then referred to court and proceedings began. However, not much coverage was given to Mohsin and Fatima’s case once it reached the court.
Now, after everything has been done and dusted with, Mohsin Abbas appeared in a talk show where he opened up about the entire case with Mubasher Lucman.
The gist of the talk was how none of the allegations filed against Mohsin had been proven in the court and that he was ruled innocent on charges filed against him. For the domestic abuse case, which Mohsin claimed was high profile and had investigations done twice because Fatima Sohail’s side wasn’t satisfied, nothing was proven and even Mohsin’s and Fatima’s locations came in differently at the time of the reported incident.
Another thing which Mohsin went on to state was how he had been paying for his son’s needs since day one while Fatima had filed a case against him. “The other day I was videochatting with my son and I asked Fatima if she had the same account so that I could send in money for him. The next day I know I had a case for child support filed against me,” said Mohsin.
The actor cum singer however, stated that he had proven all cheque receipts for the money he had been sending his wife for his son and everything had been proven in front of the courts.
While Fatima has to give a statement countering claims that Mohsin made in Lucman’s talk show. Parwaaz Hai Junoon has been talk of the town for a while now but this time it is for all the wrong reasons. The wardrobe stylist of the film has recently filed a case against the production banner, MD Productions, that is producing the film.
Soomar Rehman, the wardrobe stylist of Parwaaz Hai Junoon who has done the wardrobe styling for the film, stated that the vice president of MD Films, Osman Gillani has failed to mention his name as wardrobe stylist in the credits of the film teasers that have been released over the past few weeks.
Speaking to The Express Tribune, he said,
“The film’s shoot was completed and the producer of the film later ended the contract without any prior notice over a telephone call that no further styling is required for the film. My commitment to the film was rightful and I dedicated my time and hard-work with loyalty and it is evident from my work.”
He further claimed that the production head of the film had assured him that since he had provided the wardrobe styling for the entire film, he would be credited. Hania Aamir, who stars in Parwaaz Hai Junoon, has also credited Soomar in her Instagram posts implying that the latter did indeed provide wardrobe styling for the film.
Soomar mentioned that the teasers failed to mention his name and no one from the team had informed him of this change either. He then sent a legal notice demanding a reply within two days but received none.
He further added,
I, first, went to the office to inquire why my name wasn’t mentioned in the first teaser. The production head, Mahesh Waswani, apologised and said that he would include it in the next teaser but it wasn’t mentioned in the second one either. Upon receiving no response, I went ahead with lawful proceedings by sending a court notice. The first hearing of the case will be held, on Monday, April 30,”
The case has been filed claiming damages and restraining order against the vice president, production head of MD Films and MD Productions. HUM TV has been also mentioned as the proforma party on the legal papers as HUM TV is the official distributor of the film Parwaaz Hai Junoon.
