Fans loved his movie Durj, unfortunately it could not make money but it fetched a separate fan base to the artist, now fans want to see him more.
A few days ago, he appeared in Woh Wala Show where he shared his thoughts on the reasons or inside stories that cause divorces of the celebrities.
The anchor threw a long question with historical background of the celebrities’ divorces that happened in past including Farhan Saeed, Shahroz Sabzwari, Mikaal Zulfuqar, Nauman Javed, Noor, Mohsin Abbas Haider and Aamir Liaquat. He also asked about Sajal and Ahad Raza Mir.
Replying to this long question he said, “I think when couples are celebrities at the same time, there is always a very thin line that develops between the two in terms of trust, tolerance that she/he’s getting more work than me, she/he is getting more importance than me, and then, if wife is a star people will start valuing her more infront of her husband, they will do it on purpose to see husband’s reaction especially if his wife is bigger celebrity, they will give girls more work and they will also start flirt, just to see reaction of husbands, which eventually causes fights at home “. Here are both the links where Shamoon and the anchor had detailed conversation about celebrities’ divorces.
This second last episode was just as well-written and meaningful as this drama has been right from the start. Tonight’s episode summed up the importance of dreams and how they help most people get through life. As we have seen through Parizaad’s story that sometimes dreaming about the unattainable can lead to frustrations and hopelessness. Dreams and aspirations were one of the main themes of this drama therefore I am glad that this theme was beautifully integrated into this second last episode. Apart from this, Parizaad’s decision to let go completely was also well established right at the outset. The poetry in the opening scenes was one of my favorites tonight since it had so many different meanings – from wanting to be completely unknown to taking a backseat for a change.
After introducing the viewers to so many layered characters that were a vital part of Parizaad’s journey in all these weeks, the writer surprised the viewers with yet another beautifully penned-down character in this episode. I feel that Parizaad’s characterizations and the actors chosen to translate these characters on screen were its biggest strengths throughout. Every character left a lasting impression and quite unexpectedly I warmed up to each one of these characters instantly. Tonight as well the new character that was introduced was just as impactful as all the others. I was expecting these last few days of Parizaad’s journey to be filled with sorrow but thankfully that was not entirely the case. The journey continues to be as meaningful as ever and even though Parizaad felt lost and hopeless in the opening scenes of this episode, by the end of the episode I felt as if he might have finally found his purpose in life.
The only part of this episode that did not work for me was the Parizaad/Annie track. There wasn’t even a single photograph of Parizaad which Annie requested to see when she got her eyesight back? Even though this scene was impactful because Annie crossed his path and did not even pause, logically it was unconvincing. The timeline was also confusing at times but even then this was definitely another unexpected, heartwarming, and well-written episode.
Leaving Everything Behind
This second last episode of Parizaad opened on a grim note. Parizaad had already decided to leave everything by the end of the previous episode. The poetic verses in the background helped the viewers understand Parizaad’s mindset. He no longer wanted to control things and wanted to leave everything to chance and fate. That is what I believe was meant by not wanting to be the central character in the story anymore! After being the center of attention as P.Z.Mir, Parizaad now wanted another identity, one which would not attract attention and he would be able to live a life free from pressure. For the longest time, he had been doing everything in his power to navigate his life but now he was headed in a completely unknown direction. Parizaad always had the confidence to start afresh therefore the confidence with which he started this journey and welcomed whatever came his way was perfectly in line with his character. This character and its journey have always fascinated me since he has not only dared to dream but also had the guts to leave everything behind and leave when he felt he was not happy with his present life.
Even though Parizaad struggled with self-love and acceptance all his life, his resilience allowed him to do many such things which most people in such a situation would not be able to do. He did try to take his life once but most of the time he always found a purpose in life and managed to go on with life even with all the heartache. Tonight, Parizaad went from P.Z.Mir to Ahmed – another new identity that brought with it a new life as well. This time around too Parizaad was in a position to change people’s lives not with his money but with his knowledge. He was always shown as an intelligent and a well-read man therefore this new role as a teacher and a mentor suited him so well. Yet again, he helped someone he met when they needed it the most. Even after living a luxurious life as P.Z.Mir, Parizaad was more than comfortable living a life that demanded so much from him and was completely void of comfort. He found his purpose in life, at least for now and if he chooses this to be his main goal for the rest of his life, he will be truly making a difference in young people’s lives in the best way possible.
Parizaad’s interactions with his new friend, the headmaster/teacher, were penned down beautifully throughout. Right from the start when he told Pari that he didn’t look like a local to the point when Parizaad became a close friend he could rely on, these interactions were such that I felt that Parizaad was finally where he belonged! I just hope that he does not pack his bags one more time because showing Parizaad dedicate his life to this meaningful purpose would be the best way to end this drama. He has the monetary resources as well to expand the school. Tonight, he did not use his influence or money in any way.
Even though the scene showing Annie crossing paths with Parizaad was flawed logically, it did have a symbolic significance. Annie had made all these tall claims and Parizaad believed her as well but the fact was that she was only human therefore she failed to recognize the person she claimed to know so well now that she had her eyesight back. She was also happy with her life and had new-found confidence. Is Annie still looking for Parizaad or has she moved on? Is she yet another one of those people who were simply passing through Parizaad’s life? Or will she be back in his life? Parizaad was shocked when Annie did not ‘recognize’ him which meant he was expecting a different reaction!
Final Remarks
Tonight’s episode shifted the direction of Parizaad’s life altogether. Not only did his lifestyle and goals in life change but even the locations changed altogether which was such a wonderful idea. The scenic beauty and the way the simple life of these hardworking locals was covered made the difference between this world and the one Parizaad had come from even more apparent. This was another engaging and touching episode of Parizaad which was very impressively put together. The writer penned down this phase of Parizaad’s journey beautifully, the director breathed life into all these scenes and the performances continued to be mind-blowing. I am eagerly looking forward to the finale especially because now there is a chance that Parizaad’s journey will have a meaningful ending.
Did you watch tonight’s episode of Parizaad? Do you think that there is still a chance that Parizaad and Annie might end up together? Or is Parizaad destined to achieve greater things? I absolutely loved the smile on Parizaad’s face when he met those students, it was as if he hadn’t smiled this genuinely in a long time. I feel that he is meant to do this, his love for Urdu and giving both fit in so well with this profession. Do share your views about it.

Mawra Hocane is a beautiful, versatile and accomplished Pakistani actress, model and a VJ who is in the industry for a long time and is impressing her fans with her powerful performance. Mawra Hocane recently appeared in an interview with “Fuchsia Magazine”.
Mawra Hocane while talking about controversial scene in ‘Qissa Meharbano Ka’, mentioned that “In ‘Qissa Meherbano Ka’ there was a scene after 8th episode where Muraad forces himself on Meharbano and the next day Meharbano forgot everything and was busy in her daily life routine. I read that scene and called Momina that this is marital rape, we cant just let it pass. It was very kind of Momina that she stopped the shooting and called a meeting to re-write the story again.”
“This issue is very important, we had to give awareness to our audience. I really want to educate people regarding marital rape. It’s not that if you give consent once in your marriage it would be for a lifetime. Consent is every day and every time. You can’t force anyone for anything. This mindset is totally wrong that if a girl is married she is left with no autonomy or have no choice”, added Mawra.
Mawra further said that “I wrote the definition of marital rape on my social media to educate people. I knew that audience will question that what do I mean or what is the big deal if such things happen? Sometimes you have to spoon-feed your audience and I guess we have got strong reactions from the audience, but there is a certain set of society who is comfortable with all these things. The people who are practicing such things in the name of Nikkah will surely criticize us because we are making them feel uncomfortable publicly but it’s our responsibility to educate the audience and we are going to try till the end.”

Many people said that Nauman Ejaz’s age is not matched with his character but what we actually need is a best actor. Either we can match his age or his performance with our specific character.”
“We selected Usama for Affan’s character because we saw some similarities between Usama and Nauman Ejaz, on the other hand Maheen totally fits into her character. They actually look like siblings. We selected Bilal for Mahir’s character because we needed a person whose transition could change from the previous one and you’ll see this on your TV screens soon”, added Danish Nawaz.
Danish further said that “We selected Sakina apa for phopho’s character because she was not appearing in many drama serials lately and I wanted to show a different face to the audience. The way Sakina Samo has played her role is worth appreciating. She is portraying a negative character but no one can specifically call her character a negative one.”

Shame on you.” Responded to the news of her getting married, “I would like to salute all those bloggers and media houses who gather viewership for their pages and blogs through yellow journalism.”
She continued, “Every other month, I am married to someone which becomes a source of embarrassment for my family. Even if we celebrities want, we can never post pictures with these people, whom we respect immensely and hold in very high regard, because some bloggers will use that picture to spread the [false] news that we are married to them.”
“We are indeed media personalities, but the people whose pictures that go viral along with ours belong to respectful religious families and are people whom I hold in very high regard. For God’s sake, do not drag such esteemed spiritual individuals into such news for the sake of ‘gossip material’,” she concluded.

She helped him with technical aspects of the filming as well as ran lines with him with utmost professionalism and humility. This is how Talha found working with Maya Ali was like:
Talha went on to share that his first meeting with Maya was just five minutes before their first scene and it turned into a hilarious moment. The scene where Sonia and Captain Farukh meet for the first time was also Talha and Maya meeting for the first time.
Talha Chahour is the break-out star in Jo Bichar Gaye. People have fallen in love with his character Captain Farukh as well as his prowess as an actor.

Pakistani drama industry has two basic sides to it, on the one side there are those dramas that are meant for commercial purposes and on the other side, there are those dramas that offer meaningful entertainment. Most of the people who are active on social media and are vocal about their opinions regarding Pakistani dramas appreciate dramas that offer meaningful entertainment. Pakistani producers and writers have experimented a lot in the past few years. Since 2021 in particular, our writers and producers have not been afraid of experimenting with different genres. However, if we take a look at all the dramas that have aired in the past few years, there isn’t a single historic drama that held the viewers’ interest. Hum TV’s Aangan was promoted as a period drama but it turned out to be a major disappointment. In fact, it made all the intelligent viewers question whether Pakistani writers should actually take up such topics or not.
This year, Jo Bichar Gaye took the viewers completely by surprise not only because of its content but also because of its powerful execution. This drama dares to show in detail the incidents that led to the East Pakistan tragedy. This drama has so much going for it yet it has somehow not been promoted as aggressively as some of the other commercial projects that air on Geo. The drama is based on a book written by Col. Z. I. Farrukh who also happens to be one of the main protagonists in the story. He was one of the army men taken in as prisoners of war when Dhaka fell. Haissam Hussain and Mehreen Alam are in charge of the screenplay and the script has been written by Ali Moeen. This drama also marks the comeback of the iconic director Haissam Hussain’s to television and Nadia Jamil also made her acting comeback with Jo Bichar Gaye. The production house H2 Films definitely deserves credit for taking this initiative and putting together this masterpiece.
Here are 5 reasons why Jo Bichar Gaye is a masterpiece that is a must-watch:
Unique and Well-Written Script
We sincerely believe that content is the king especially when a writer takes up the task of writing on a topic that is novel, sensitive, and also controversial. Jo Bichar Gaye’s writer has intelligently and neutrally managed to shed light on all those factors which led to the fall of Dhaka. The fact that the novel this drama is based on has been written by someone with vast military experience who was stationed in Dhaka and was in the middle of the conflict reflects in the details which have been the focus of attention right from the beginning. Fall of Dhaka is one of those tragedies which aren’t talked about often in media, especially those aspects where the establishment disappointed its own people. The shortcomings of the politicians and the failure of the establishment to take concrete steps on time are some of the aspects of this era that are not discussed openly. The script of the drama with the utmost clarity shows all the different dimensions of the issue in the fairest manner. It focuses on the lack of foresight, conspiracies, and also the way young people such as Rumi were misled and used for ulterior motives.
The “Human” Element
Even though Jo Bichar Gaye stands out from other such dramas because of the way it presents facts and figures, it does not compromise on the human element which is the essence of any on-screen presentation, at all! In fact, it is impressive how the writer has managed to give easy access to the viewers to the psychological depths of the characters. Most of the time when novels are adapted on television, this depth is lost but Jo Bichar Gaye has highlighted the personal struggles of these characters and their relationship with their ‘cause’ with the utmost precision. This automatically leads to the viewers’ feelings everything the characters are going through and connecting to them makes the experience wholesome. The writers and the director have done exceptionally well while striking a balance between what is going on on the political and military front and everything happening in the personal lives of these characters. You find yourself just as invested in their personal relationships as you are in the events on the political front.

Who could have thought that these talented writers would be able to fit in the most poignant light-hearted moments in an otherwise bleak story? Well, the makers of Jo Bichar Gaye managed to do just that in the most brilliant way possible. While on the one hand you are completely shaken by the conspiracies, on the other hand, Sonia and Captain Farrukh’s track provides much-needed comic relief. Sonia’s mother definitely takes the lead there with her desperate attempts to find the right suitor for her daughter and her disappointment with finding out that her daughter chose someone like Captain Farrukh. Her character is a breath of fresh air and adds the kind of human element which is usually not a part of such stories. This entire track has a very classy yet comic feel to it.
Perfect and Refreshing Casting
Anyone who has watched Haissam Hussain’s projects will agree that no one can beat him when it comes to choosing the right actors for the roles. He is also one of those few Pakistani directors who have introduced many new faces to the industry. He is also one of those talented individuals in the industry who think outside the box and cast certain seasoned actors in roles they have never been seen in before. Starting from the leading cast such as Wahaj Ali as Rumi, Maya Ali as Sonia, or Taha Chahour as Captain Farrukh to the supporting actors such Nadia Jamil in a candid and interesting role and all those new faces in the most powerful roles, everyone literally manages to transport you to another world. You forget that you had recently seen Wahaj in an entirely different role in Dil Na Umeed Tu Nahin and Maya Ali has recently tested our patience as Rakhshi!
All these actors have not just nailed their roles but they have proved that they were meant to perform such roles. The credit for that goes to the director as well because some of these actors are either new to television or have given average performances in the recent past. It basically goes to show that when actors are chosen to play meaningful characters, they showcase their best abilities. Each actor manages to leave a lasting impression with the leading cast taking the lead, in the true sense of the word!
Locations and Cinematography
While shooting any drama locations play a pivotal role. These locations are of even more significance when a period drama is being shot. The directors and the producers chose locations that breathe life into that era and make you forget that you are watching a drama that was recorded in the present era. Much of the drama has been shot in GC University, Lahore, which is visually stunning and its architecture is nothing short of a masterpiece. The other locations from Lahore which have been used as the army headquarters are just as well-suited for the era that is being shown. The camerawork and the cinematography add to the visual appeal even when the message being conveyed through these visuals isn’t always pleasant. The kind of hard work which the team put into making the visuals as realistic as possible shows in every single scene. They did not rely on make-shift sets but chose locations that have brought that era to life.
Other than this, the overall looks of all the actors involved are completely in line with the era and the roles they are playing. Most importantly the actors are seen carrying these looks with the utmost ease. This adds to the effortless portrayal and gives the realistic feel needed to make their stories more relatable.
All those viewers who have tuned into Jo Bichar Gaye have been blown away by it, which basically goes to show that the Pakistani viewers want to watch dramas that are not run-of-the-mill. Jo Bichar Gaye is definitely setting the bar higher than ever. Are you watching the drama? Share your thoughts about it.

Ohkay so, just like the previous two episodes, this episode of Sang e Mah was thoroughly enjoyable & captivating. There is so much to each & every frame that while absorbing it all, it actually feels like you are a part of some other world where everything is unfolding in front of your eyes. The screen presence of all these actors is so strong & their performances are so so powerful that it really keeps you engaged as a viewer. Sang e Mah definitely has become one such drama that has not only had a great start but continues to be promising & with each passing episode, the curiosity keeps on building.
The Past Unveiled
This episode unveiled the most important event from the past, which was Zarsanga & Marjan’s affair & how they both got to be together. This is exactly the reason why Zarghona thinks so low of her elder sister because what she did was definitely unforgivable in such a conservative society. Zarsanga was already married & had Hilmand when Marjan decided that he wanted to marry her. For Marjan, it was just an emotion that got the better of him but for Zarsanga, it was nothing short of an extramarital affair. This episode beautifully explained all the emotions that Hilmand has felt towards Marjan; why he calls Marjan his wife’s husband, not his father & why he continues to cling to this grave of Nasrullah Khan; his biological father. I must commend Samiya Mumtaz for showcasing Zarsanga’s awkwardness to perfection when Zarghona decided to turn some of the pages from the past, it was obvious that she knew everything that Zarghona said was true & why she had all the reasons to be so bitter about it.
Marjan definitely has his struggles but he continues to hide them from everyone. One very important conversation between Zarsanga & Marjan showed the contrast between what he truly feels & the facade that he carries in front of the whole world. Marjan easily came up with a dream that he shared with his wife to put her heart to ease but after she left, he admitted to having been ‘sinful’ all his life. I am interested to find out how he actually got married to Zarsanga – did it happen easily or did Marjan have to kill Nasrullah to get his lady love. This also brought me to one very important question regarding why Zarsanga felt so passionately about Sabz Ali & Ghagh. It makes me want to know her more when deep inside she herself is well aware of what she has done & why Hilmand is so detached & aloof to his entire family!
I loved the scene between Hilmand & Sabz Ali. It showed that for Hilmand, sincerity & trust are what matter the most. He stood up against the tide only to protect his friend but later when he figured out that he has been lied to, he actually wanted to convey that to his ‘friend’ too. It is true, Sabz Ali actually wanted to marry that girl, that is why he committed Ghagh but because he was afraid of the consequences he lied to Hilmand about being intoxicated & not in his right frame of mind. The more I watch Hilmand’s character, the more I want to learn about him & his battles. One thing is for sure, he wants to come to terms with how his life has panned out after his mother made the decision of marrying Marjan Khan but he is finding it hard to do so & which makes it very perplexing for him.
Hikmat is trying his best to get married to Gulmeena but he is unable to figure a way out. The things he said to his mother also showed that at some point, even he will try to dig deep into the past only to be left disappointed. The way both Zarsanga & Marjan reacted to everything showcased how they both are sad & unsettled deep inside – they both are putting up a facade but probably the weight of their decision & the consequences of it all is too overbearing for them, which is bringing them down.
Badam Gul continued to bring some comic relief to the overall grim situation. It is actually sweet how both Badam & Mastaan treat Gulmeena as their own daughter. Mastaan is definitely going to protect Gulmeena whereas Badam will always stay loyal to Zarghona. It is commendable how they have established the characters & their personalities that you actually feel like you understand them a bit too well, even though the drama is still in the initial stages. Gulmeena also wants to get married to Hikmat but she is also well aware of how difficult it would be to convince her mother. Zarghona is another character that I want to explore; the things she said to her sister & later to Gulmeena when she saw her mingling with Mastaan goes to show that she too is very staunch in some matters & has a very conservative mindset. It kind of makes her a very interesting character because she openly defies the norms of the society that she is a part of only for her survival. I am keen to learn her story too.
Brilliantly Directed
This episode of Sang e Mah was totally gripping. Director Saife Hassan should take a bow for capturing every scene so beautifully. I loved the shot from the past where both Marjan & Zarsanga meet. All the frames have been carefully crafted & beautifully captured. The actors continue to be impressive. I really liked Zaviyar Noman’s performance in this episode too. While watching Samiya Mumtaz & Saniya Saeed share the screen, all I could think of was how strong their screen presence was & the kind of performance I was getting to witness from both of them. Atif Aslam is a star for a reason but to outdo himself & prove his mettle as an actor is a feat in itself. Sang e Mah has been nothing short of impressive & I can not wait to see how things unfold. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Sang e Mah.

I love love Sajan Das Na but does anyone else miss the musicality in Coke Studio?? The intruments??? I kinda do. Like imagine Sajan Das Na, same melody, same vocals but the true coke Studio kinda instrumental set up
'Sajan Das na' is a good experiment refreshing. . . here's the but: I can't help but think how this song would have sounded if they used singers who could actually speak punjabi. In my head, it would have elevated to such a higher level.
Versatility suits Atif! Absolutely loving the track. Coke Studio never fails to bring new dimensions in this present season ❤️#SajanDasNahttps://t.co/rPhyERftGi
& if u were expecting slow melody soulful song 4rm them But they came up with sth so different/new to them nd did their best U should be proud rather thn crying for asking for same thing again & again🤦🏻♀️ then u say our singers don't try sth new#sajandasnapic.twitter.com/6qUwlsG1p7
Listened to Sajan Das Na, and meh… Atif likes to experiment which is good. However, Momina's voice doesn't compliment much with the overall vibe. I guess it's time CS should stick to introducing new talent more.#CokeStudio14#AtifAslam
Idk what to feel about this new song #CokeStudio14#SajanDasNa with the first two being bangers, this one is just meh. But damn the 14 year old girl in me is all for her childhood crush #AtifAslam loooking 🔥🔥🔥
Actress Alizeh shah, who faced immense backlash from the audience after her smoking video went viral on social media, recently responded to the matter. Alizeh Shah in her recent interview with “Maliha Rehman”, mentioned that “Do you know I was with my family in that car? Replying to the question that why didn’t she say so when people were trolling her incessantly, Alizeh said that “I have realized that it’s wiser to stay quiet. Often, when a woman takes a stand and decides to defend herself, people make life even more difficult for her. It’s easier for me to just disconnect from social media. I know that controversies don’t last for longer than two days and, after that, these very people will be watching my drama and getting excited about it.”
“You know, I even got offered an item song right after that video got leaked? One video with a cigarette in it and it was assumed that I was ready to be an item girl! The song had some crazy lyrics, about kalashnikovs for eyes. My friends and I were in hysterics when we heard it!”, added Alizeh Shah.

I know that if I had 20 to 25 projects under my belt, I must be doing something right. It was the most frustrating moment of my life when I was working hard and such people reduced me saying that she has become popular because of social media.
