Teasers of the drama have already started doing rounds on ARY Digital and from what we have seen so far, Damsa will be highlighting the menace of child trafficking that notoriously exists in our society and keeps growing.

Damsa has been written by Khaani famed writer Asma Nabeel who has always tackled social issues with her pen. From the plight of a transgender child to bonded labor and even acid attacks, Asma Nabeel has highlighted troubling issues with her stories and now with Damsa, she has taken a step further ahead, tapping into the dark realms of child trafficking and how it affects the parents and children who become victimized by a racket.

Damsa has been directed by Najaf Bilgrami, and produced by Wajahat Rauf under Showcase Productions.

The teasers show the trauma a mother goes through when her daughter is kidnapped right infront of her eyes. Damsa, stars child actor Emaan Khan alongside Nadia Jamil, Shahood Alvi and Saleem Mairaj who plays the leader of the child trafficking ring that kidnaps Damsa.

Ever since Hamza Ali Abbasi announced his indefinite retirement from showbiz, the actor has been receiving all sorts of reactions from the masses. Hamza also shared that ever since he had discovered that he was sent into the world to serve a bigger purpose, he wanted to use his name, popularity and fame to serve and preach the message of religion. The Pyare Afzal actor went on to state how he felt he had a big responsibility to answer for his life in the hereafter.

“Adopting the way of religion was because I realized that I will be held accountable in the hereafter, given that I believe in an eternal life. I have not slept peacefully for the past two and half years, knowing that I’ll be held accountable in front of God,” stated Abbasi.

Hamza said that he had not quit acting because he considered it haram but because he wanted to be taken seriously as a religious preacher. The actor also added that it was adultery that was haram and that he had already apologized for that as his film Jawani Phir Nahi Ani was based on that particular theme.

Hamza Ali Abbasi recently married Naimal Khawar Khan, who also left showbiz to pursue a career in painting. Hamza’s last television project will be the currently running Alif on Geo Entertainment.
