Bushra Ansari’ harsh comment on critic Amma aka Lubna Faryad’s review on Zebaish took the internet by the storm.
Later, Bushra Ansari came forward and apologized from Amma for being harsh.
Bushra Ansari in a post wrote, “The fact is my words were too harsh and I did not handle my anger well. This hurt and surprised the Munshi family and my fans too.”
Here Bushra Ansari’s apology post:
Amma has beautifully responded to Bushra Ansari’s apology in a video message.
She said, “Bushra Ji, I read your post and I felt so good that you accepted your mistake. You also said that writer and director prepare a project like their own children with hardwork but when you give it to a channel it belongs to public then. It depends on the public whether they like it or not.”
She also said, “Bushra ji you said I used harsh words but how can I believe this? Many people and doctors who are working hard in these times praised me and they find my work as a stress relief.”
“Bushra ji, I don’t have harsh words for anyone in my language. I speak like a mother does in her home. I never want to hurt anyone but still, any of your director or writer is hurt then I apologize,” Amma added.
In the end, she said, “Bushra ji I review dramas in these corona times to never hurt anyone but rather it is to entertain people and you enjoy too, Bushra ji. Love you Bushra ji!
Who doesn’t know Sonya Hussyn? The dusky beauty is perhaps one of the best actresses in Pakistan these days. With the range of emotions that Sonya can portray in her characters, it would be wrong to not credit her as an amazing artist and a wonderful performer who knows what she’s doing best.
During the past year, Sonya’s dramas have earned a lot of critical acclaim and love from the audience. Sonya’s performance in Meri Gurya, Ishq Zahe Naseeb and Aisi Hai Tanhai before that were extremely loved due to their strong scripts and Sonya’s wondrous portrayal of her characters.
However, recently when teasers of Sonya Hussyn’s latest drama, Mohabbat Tujhay Alvida went on air, there was a lot of hue and cry that it was a copy of a Bollywood film. In her recent interview Sonya was questioned about how she felt when the public referred to her latest drama “Mohabbat Tujhay Alvida” as a rip off of a Bollywood film starring Anil Kapoor, Siri Devi and Urmilla.
“I feel really bad about it. A drama takes a long time to complete. Once its shot, its edited and goes through a lot of processes before its aired. A lot of people work hard for one single drama and when people compare it to something as soon as they see the teasers, its not really good,” said Sonya in reply to the question.
Adding further, Sonya stated how she felt more than half of the content was inspired from one place or another. “When people say its a complete copy, a xerox of something, I feel its very unfortunate since the artists work hard for their characters,” said Sonya.
Sonya also added that she had found the script of Mohabbat Tujhay Alvida very interesting. “When Khaliq, our writer, showed me the script for the very first time, even before I talked to the director, I was impressed because it seemed like one of the best scripts of my career, but now since, I’ve heard so much about the drama, I’m a bit worried myself,” added Sonya.
Upon her reasons of choosing the script, Sonya shared that she had seen the film and found the drama very different from it in a number of aspects. “The woman in this drama has a wide range of emotions to display. I was offered two similar scripts last years, one in which a materialistic woman only wanted money for herself, and the other was this and I opted for Mohabbat Tujhay Alvida as I didn’t find anything wrong with it as a woman,” added Sonya.
On the work front, Sonya Hussyn can be currently seen in Hum TV’s Mohabbat Tujhay Alvida. Sonya is also shooting for a film opposite Gohar Rasheed titled “Lockdown.”
The male actors of Pakistan are just as talented as their female counterparts. Some of them were so passionate about acting that even after getting their technical university degrees, they decided to be full-time actors. There were others who landed in the profession purely by chance but ended up really liking the experience. It is always fun to know where these iconic actors started their journey.
Here is how the top Pakistani actors started their showbiz journey.
Noman Ijaz
Noman Ijaz is one of the most legendary actors of Pakistan. Although he has a degree in Law, he chose to start acting. He got his first break when he played a short role in Nusrat Thakur’s drama. He also calls Nusrat Thakur his mentor. For Noman Ijaz acting was always something he was passionate about. He pursued this career because of this passion. He learned from his seniors and worked really hard on the craft.
In an interview, he also shared that when he proposed to his now-wife, her parents were not happy with his career choice and as a result of that, he ended up doing a 9 to 5 job and pursued acting at the same time.
Humayun Saeed
Humayun Saeed is another phenomenal actor and producer who has given the drama viewers the most entertaining dramas and films. He is one of the biggest names in the entertainment industry because of his impressive standing as an actor and a producer. Interestingly enough, Humayun Saeed never really planned to join the industry. He had a steady job as a manager in a firm when he was offered a modeling job. He decided to take the offer just for fun not knowing that he will end up leaving his job and pursuing acting as a permanent career. Later on, he stepped into production and there was no looking back after that!
Bilal Abbas Khan
Bilal Abbas Khan is currently one of the most sought-after actors. His father always wanted him to act but it took him a little while to realize that he actually wanted to go into performing arts. When he started his bachelor’s degree in business it was then that he realized that he wanted to be an actor. He joined NAPA and although it wasn’t easy managing both college and NAPA training but his passion for acting made him do so. Bilal even mentioned in an interview that he made Dubsmash only because he wanted someone to notice him and give him a chance. Bilal also shared that he was never after fame, he only wanted to be in this field and do his best.
Imran Abbas
Imran Abbas is a really sensitive person who actually never really planned to be part of showbiz. Ever since he was a little boy, he liked to write his feelings down. So he was always a writer. As he grew older, he was more interested in sketching and painting. When he was in NCA he loved to sing in university functions. He landed in acting purely by chance when he went to see the shooting for one of Reema Khan’s projects. He was truly in awe of her and was a big fan. That is when he was offered his first project and that is how his journey started.
Muneeb Butt
Muneeb Butt is another actor who never really planned a career in acting but it hit him all of a sudden that he wanted to be in showbiz. It was when he went to watch a commercial shoot that he wished to be a celebrity. His family was supportive of him and it took him a few months and many different auditions to finally get an acting project. Interestingly enough after this project, he was not offered any work in the field for years. Muneeb considers this a blessing in disguise since he was able to finish his bachelor’s degree in the meantime.
Adnan Siddiqui never planned to enter showbiz. Like any other young man, he started his career with a more ‘serious’ profession. His first job was at a bank, one which he did not enjoy at all. Soon after, he decided to join an advertising agency since the job at the bank did not match his temperament. That is when he was offered his first modeling project. It was Anwar Maqsood who asked him to start acting. Adnan calls Anwar Maqsood his mentor and even calls him mamu.
Fahad Mustafa’s father was a really famous actor therefore acting was in his genes. However, he had to struggle a lot to get as far as he has come now. When he started doing his morning show, he thought that his acting career was over but then Jeeto Pakistan made him a household name and everything changed.
Faysal Qureshi
There is a solid reason why Faisal Qureshi is such a phenomenal actor. His mother and father both were associated with the showbiz industry. He started performing in theatre and dramas when he was only 8 years old. For him that learning experience added a lot to his expertise as an actor. He also went through a really struggling period after his father passed away and he had to work to earn for his family. This was a difficult period for him and now he feels relieved that he managed to make it this far.
Junaid Khan
Junaid Khan has an Engineering degree in mining and he has also done an MBA but his first love was always music. He pursued this interest in singing never knowing that one day he will quit his other job and opt for not just singing but also acting as a full-time profession. Just when Junaid Khan started getting popular as a singer, he was unsure as to which career path to choose since he also had a good office job. That is when he was offered his first acting project and from then on he decided to pursue acting and singing as a career.
Ahsan Khan
Ahsan Khan is one of those few popular television actors right now who actually started their career with films. He started his career at a really young age since he was always passionate about acting. He did not have to go through the struggle which some of the other actors went through, he got good projects right in the beginning and he obviously worked really hard to get where he is today.
Do you find the journeys of these actors inspiring? Share your thoughts.
Maira Khan, happens to be one of those Pakistani actors, who appear majorly in supporting roles but do leave a mark with their performance. Maira happens to be a television and film actress alongside being a model and former VJ. Maira Khan gave a commendable performance in Shamoon Abbasi’s Durj and was also appreciated for her role in Cheekh.
In a recent interview with Samina Peerzada, Maira Khan opened up about the struggles she faced in her life. Maira shared how her former husband was murdered during an armed incident of mugging in Karachi. “He was shot while being mugged and it took only 2 minutes for him to die,” shared Maira while stating how her then in laws had been a very good and supportive family.
Maira also shared that she had always wanted to be a pilot but because of her aunt who died in a plane crash, she couldn’t follow her dream and became afraid of planes and flying altogether.
Maira also talked about two horrific accidents that she met in her life when her cars were completely totaled and she survived without so much as a scratch.
Maira stated that she always felt it was God’s doing as she had been saved multiple times, to perhaps serve a bigger purpose, which she was still on the lookout for.
In Pakistani dramas, for female actors, it is of utmost importance to give their characters a perfect treatment in terms of doing justice to their emotions and acting them out brilliantly. However, another aspect that also holds a lot of importance is that of how they perceive their characters and their overall look.
The outer look of any character also helps a great deal in making the visual impact and contributes a lot in conveying the dynamics of the character. This is the reason, Pakistani actresses are quite conscious about their wardrobe, hair, makeup, and overall styling that they opt for in their dramas because they know it is going to help them make an impact that they are after.
A lot of times, viewers get to see some of the most well-dressed characters, it doesn’t necessarily mean that the actors have chosen formal outfits or expensive branded lawns. Usually, the way they carry themselves ends up giving completeness to the look that they have created. Pakistani drama viewers are now keen than ever and they are very quick to tell which actor looks good in terms of styling in different dramas. It is also a fact that a lot of times, the outfits that the actresses choose to wear are purely based on their personal styling preferences and choices and this is why a lot of times they end up wearing such dresses which are not too appealing or look good on screen.
Here’s the list of poorly dresses characters from current Pakistani dramas:
Zunaira (Tarap)
Hiba Bukhari is a very talented actress. She knows how to act and convey the emotions of the characters that she picks to portray, however, Hiba Bukhari is in dire need of an overhaul because the choice of her professional, rather drama-related wardrobe is poor. Hiba Bukhari firstly needs to get rid of all the net dupattas that are in her collection.
Zunaira is seen wearing a lot of bright colors and then the contrasting embroidered net dupattas give her a very old-fashioned look. Zunaira is shown to belong to a decent family background with her brother earning a decent amount for living, therefore to see her wearing outdated styled clothes doesn’t really make much sense. In order to look trendy and up-to-date, Zunaira has also worn tulip shalwars but everything looks too loud and clashing. Hiba Bukhari needs to simplify her choices for sure.
Hania (Tarap)
Closely following the footsteps of her bari baji in drama serial Tarap, Laiba Khan who plays the role of Hania isn’t too far behind in being poorly dressed. She is the rebellious youngest sibling of the family, she goes to the university, has a few good friends and is very much in touch with the current fashion trends. However, her own choice of clothing is awful. Hania is usually seen wearing brighter colors and bold patterns, trying to show through her personality but the overall look is tacky if put in simple words.
Laiba Khan is one of the good actors from the younger lot but she definitely needs to be mindful of her clothing choices for her characters. Her dressing in Mera Dil Mera Dushman isn’t too impressive either.
Maira (Mera Dil Mera Dushman)
When you look at Maira, you get the feeling that the producers ran out of money, that is why they told her to pick up some plain lawn material and get it loosely stitched and she was strictly prohibited to spend on a variety of dupattas, hence staying within the budget, she wears that one unwashed white dupatta over every other outfit.
Maira does have a few 3 piece lawn suits, but it seems they are probably the first few purchases that she made after her marriage to Zafar because after that, seeing her forlorn face, Zafar stopped investing in her because when they got married, initially Zafar did tell her that he expected Maira to dress up nicely. Maira’s personality is boring, seeing her face evokes boredom in the viewers and to add to the woes, her wardrobe is the worst. Definitely, one of the poorly dressed characters from the currently on-air dramas.
Miraal (Sabaat)
This definitely will come as a surprise but yes, Miraal too is poorly dressed. Sarah Khan on her own looks absolutely gorgeous but because she is used to wearing eastern outfits in her dramas, she makes it very very obvious in a lot of shots that she is a little conscious of the western outfits that she is wearing. Sarah Khan did her best to recreate the look of the Islamabadi girls and follow their fashion trends but it seems she didn’t know where to stop.
She is not entirely a poorly dressed character because, in those scenes where she is seen in office-attire, she has carried that look well. Other than that, it seems Sarah Khan decided to wear all the colors available in the spectrum, therefore she went for different colored jackets and coveralls; some of them are good but the rest are a bit too distracting. Her hair and makeup is definitely on-fleek in the drama but clothing choice is a little too much.
Anaya (Sabaat)
Anaya’s character is definitely more about the substance in her personality than in her looks but who says you can not follow the current fashion trends and incorporate them in your wardrobe decently? Going for frills and bows, ribbons and all sorts of extra accessories to add a glamorous look to her dressing was definitely a poor choice.
Anaya is shown to be coming from a simple and humble background, but that does not necessarily mean that those who do have to be poorly dressed. Since Anaya’s character takes heavy inspiration from the character of Kashaf from Zindagi Gulzar Hai, everyone till date remembers how decently and elegantly Sanam Saeed was dressed. Mawra Hocane obviously didn’t want to copy her styling but at least she should’ve picked some better dresses.
Nirma (Jhooti)
Iqra Aziz really wanted her character to have that kind of over the top vibe, this is why she decided to reflect that in her choice of clothes too but that completely clashes with her perfect makeup and glossy layered hairstyle which she has sported in the entire drama. Needless to say, the lawn prints that Nirma has worn throughout the story are hideous and harsh on the eyes.
The stylists of Iqra Aziz should also have incorporated that in her makeup and hairstyling too because when you look at her face during the close-ups, she seems like a modern girl who is very much up to date with the current fashion trends but when it comes to her dressing, it tells a completely different story. These kinds of outfits do go with Nirma’s character but they do clash with hair and makeup which make Nirma actually look like Iqra Aziz during any other photoshoot of hers.
Nageen (Deewangi)
In this drama as well, Hiba Bukhari’s choice of clothing has been bad. She has worn some nice dresses, that can’t be denied, especially the formal ones but the majority of her dresses, as well as silhouettes she has chosen for her character make her look old-fashioned. The saving grace of this character is Hiba Bukhari’s acting but the overall styling and outfits have been poor.
Raina (Dushman e Jaan)
Raina is shown to be a modern girl belonging to high-class society. She is friends with Hatim and her friend circle too consists of the people who fall in the category of her social class. However, as beautiful as Mahrosh Rana looks in this drama, her dressing sense has not been up to the mark. Pairing the thai-themed skirt with a floral shirt and wrapping a scarf around her neck shows Raina’s poor dressing sense.
It seems she took out out-of-style articles of clothing from her wardrobe that were hanged somewhere and were not in use for years, so she decided it was a good idea to use them now. Although Dushman e Jaan was shot 2 years ago but still the clothes she has worn are outdated even for that time. It was good to see Mahrosh Rana back in dramas after a long gap and she has looked beautiful throughout but that can not be said about the outfits that she has chosen to wear in Dushman e Jaan.
This completes the list of poorly dressed characters in current Pakistani dramas. What do you think? Feel free to share your opinion in the comment section below.

Sadaf Kanwal and husband Shahroz Sabzwari have been the talk of the town lately. The rumor mills keep churning because Shahroz Sabzwari was already married to Syra Yusuf and tied the knot with Sadaf after his divorce. However, now, the duo is happily married and as Sadaf says, she pays no heed to any negativity coming her way as she is quite content in her married life.
Now Sadaf Kanwal has made a couple of screen appearances on television and has a dance number to her credit in a major film as well. In fact Sadaf’s dance number or an item number as it is more commonly known was one of the biggest hits when Na Maloom Afraad 2 released.
Necessarily more offers would have come Sadaf’s way but now that she is married, Sadaf Kanwal has said no to item numbers in films. “No, I’ll not do item numbers anymore because I am married now and I have a family,” said Sadaf in a recent interview.
Adding further, Sadaf said that since she had been married, she would have to consider her family first. Husband Shahroz also came to Sadaf’s support stating how the concept was different about the dance number. “Wherever it is necessary a dance number can do, but unnecessary item numbers to sell a film are not justified. I also think Kaif O Suroor was needed at the perfect time in the film,” said Shahroz who also stated that Kaif O Suroor also happened to be his favorite.
Sadaf also chipped in stating, “Kaif O Suroor comes at such a critical point in the film that if you watch it, you’ll know that the film couldn’t move ahead without it. Also Fizza and Nabeel just wouldn’t add an item number to their film for the sake of it.”

Ohkay so, in this set of episodes, the story of Dushman e Jaan took such a turn that no one expected & I say that in a good sense because all that happened was not only nice but showed how Rubab & Hatim strengthened their bond. In the initial episodes, I felt that maybe the story took a very typical turn & they might drag or slow things down a bit but I was pleasantly surprised to see none of it happening because they got done with all of it within these episodes. The preview last week was again misleading & it seems they skipped the events of this week entirely but again, that’s nothing to complain about & probably did help in keeping the viewers hooked.
The Misunderstanding
In these episodes, a lot of things were made clear; the first one being that a problematic person can never find good in his or her life no matter how hard they try. Another one is that no matter how hard you try if your intention isn’t right, you can cause no harm to those who are pure in their intentions. It was shocking to see Nighat go to Hatim’s house for her selfish reasons & not only that, the moment she found an opportunity, she tried to badmouth Rubab, thinking that will earn her some brownie points.
At first, I was actually concerned that this entire misunderstanding might drag & slow down the progress of the story but I am glad Sarwat Nazir kept it short & sweet. I actually lowkey hoped that we’d get to see another pairing like Haider & Mishi from Besharam who talked things out & dealt with their issues then & there because they strongly believed in communication. To much relief, the same thing happened between Hatim & Rubab where they spoke about what was bothering them & then it didn’t take much longer for Hatim to figure the entire situation out to put a stop to it.
Hatim & Rubab
Hatim has actually grown as a person, it shows every step of the way. It is such a nice transition to see him being guilt-stricken to someone who is totally in love & after putting everything in the past, he is trying to be a better version of himself every single day. Hatim has not given Rubab any reason to complain or doubt him but yes, unfortunately, his past mistake which cost Ramsha her life is a reality that can not be undone!
I will however say that as much as I found Rubab’s character a bit too plain, I kind of liked the fact that Sarwat Nazir showed her like that & even after her marriage to Hatim, she did not do anything to change herself. Rubab is who she is & that’s the best part about her. All this while, it was subtly hinted how she has not been able to move past Ramsha’s death & because this incident has caused her so much trauma, she still hasn’t completely healed or moved on. Talking about Ramsha every chance she gets, missing her & seeing life through her deceased sister’s perspective – all of this is now a part of Rubab’s personality & this is where the seriousness & maturity in her character stems from.
Although Rubab has learned to be happy & content with her life because she got more than what she ever imagined, but the way she always sounds practical to the point of being not driven by emotions makes her a very unique character. I am glad that although Ramsha was still a step ahead of her in garnering the liking of the viewers, Sarwat Nazir has given Rubab a very different personality & a complete one at that because very effortlessly, Rubab has emerged out to be an independent entity & is not shadowed by the fact that she is Ramsha’s sister. The viewers now know her as herself; Rubab, Hatim’s wife & life partner who has her voice & her own existence.
The entire scenario of Raina, Zaheer, Nighat, Kamal & Rukhsana was dealt with quickly & I am so glad it wasn’t dragged. However, it was beautifully highlighted how communication sets everything right. I used to say this while watching Besharam as well that this particular aspect of Haider & Mishi’s relationship was my favorite, therefore I will say that again about Hatim & Rubab. It also served as a chance for Hatim to actually realize that the thought of drifting apart from his wife was so daunting for him & he also got to live by his word. He got to show it to Rubab what she meant to him & that he was not ready to forgive anyone who tried to create a rift between them.
I may not be a fan of Kamal’s character but I will say, after seeing this latest episode tonight, I did feel for him. I feel just like Fiza got a second chance by Hatim to prove her love to him, Kamal deserves that chance too. Fiza realized her mistake & took the responsibility of making amends, I feel Kamal too was trying to do exactly that, which was definitely a nice shift in his attitude. I am glad that at least Rubab understands him & she tries to make Hatim understand too. Yes, the things Kamal did were far more grave than what Fiza was guilty of, but if she can get a chance, he too deserves it.
Well Executed Episodes
These episodes of Dushman e Jaan, despite being typical were still very interesting. The best part was that Hatim & Rubab did not sulk in the misery of miscommunication & misunderstandings. They talked to each other like any mature couple would & found a solution. Honestly speaking, there’s nothing more annoying than seeing wives or even husbands keeping things to themselves & not telling their better half even after all these years of togetherness – recent example Deewangi & Nageen’s chup ka roza – sheer annoyance. Anyways, coming back to Dushman e Jaan, this drama continues to exceed my expectations & I am glad that they covered these simple & beautiful moments that any newly wedded couple experiences such as moving in a new house together, getting used to new place & surroundings, dealing with different pressures & then finally welcoming the first child in their lives. The babies shown in these episodes were so cute – I say babies because I am assuming they all were different for different scenes & also to show the time-lapse.
Mohib Mirza has been very impressive as Hatim & so has been Madiha Imam as Rubab. I really liked their chemistry & their couple also sheds a light on the fact that people may see you as a mismatch but if you’re content & happy with each other than nothing else matters anymore. The preview of the next episodes show a lot more drama, probably the moment Hatim has been dreading the most, let’s see what happens. The direction of Dushman e Jaan is another best aspect of this drama & I am glad the director approached the script this way & executed it with so much clarity. Please share your thoughts about these episodes of Dushman e Jaan.

This was one of the best episodes of Pyar Ke Sadqay because there were so many moments when you wanted things to go a certain way but then the writer made sure that she kept the viewers on the edge. Tonight’s episode was also really important in terms of story and character development. Although the story is at a really ‘typical’ juncture, I feel so connected to the central characters that I genuinely feel whatever they are going through. The credit for that goes to the writer for etching-out these beautiful characters and the actors who have given such outstanding performances. Yumna Zaidi is one of those actresses who never rely on make-up therefore I am pretty sure that the director must have asked her to sport this look even at such a crucial time. Yumna’s performance has been absolutely phenomenal throughout but Mahjabeen really should not be shown wearing any make-up at the moment.
Abdullah’s confusion continues but he is clearly more inclined towards Mahjabeen now than he was in the previous few episodes. Washma got a lot of screen time tonight and she played an important role in giving Mansoora a reality check. Mansoora continues to act like a teenager who is madly in love! This episode showed the fight between good and evil like never before and I was almost sure that Mahjabeen’s parents’ faith in Allah will make them sail through these tough times, then I watched the preview of the upcoming episode which was seriously disturbing. This drama is getting more intense with every passing episode but I must say that it has my undivided attention. Munshi sahab will die in the next episode and that would be the turning point of the drama. Using a character’s death is not the best way to bring about major changes in the story but that is something our writers do all the time. I have a feeling, I might have a difficult time forgiving Abdullah after all this!
Mahjabeen’s Innocence and Confusion
For the most part of this episode, Mahjabeen was confused. She wanted to do something to help her father but at the same time, she could not bring herself to do what Sarwar wanted. Even when Washma was making her understand the situation in her own style, Mahjabeen wished Abdullah well. She is convinced that Abdullah does not love her therefore they should not be together. Right now, in some ways, Mahjabeen seems like the sanest character. She is not being selfish but is actually thinking about everyone else except herself.
The questions Mahjabeen asked her mother went to show her confusion. Her dream was used intelligently by the writer to show her growing fears. It was ultimately because of this dream that she shared her fears with her mother. I really liked how her mother stood by her and gave her the confidence she needed at this time. Salma Hassan and Yumna Zaidi are so convincing in their respective roles.
Washma Is Back!!
Yes! The good news is that Washma is back in action. This episode opened with Washma finally paying Mahjabeen a visit. After she found out what had happened, she went back to confront her mother. This confrontation scene was so well-acted out and directed, I absolutely loved the intensity with which Srha Asghar translated her character on-screen throughout this episode. When Mansoora hit her, I thought maybe she will disappear for a while but thankfully that didn’t happen. She went to visit Mahjabeen once again and this time around she found out the truth. All these scenes were written convincingly and executed well too. The only issue was that every time Washma went to Mahjabeen’s house, she could easily let herself in. This happens in Pakistani dramas so often, people just leave their entrance doors open!
Sarwar and Mansoora
In this episode, it was quite clear that deep down Mansoora knows that Sarwar is capable of doing everything he has been accused of. She is too in love with him to let him go! Therefore she has made this really poor choice of sacrificing her relationships and even her values for this man. Although Mansoora’s character makes my blood boil, tonight her character made sense. The writer has shown that Mansoora cannot live without Sarwar therefore she is willing to do whatever it takes to make him stay in his life. Sarwar also knows that only too well! In the previous episodes too we have seen how she let Sarwar get away with beating Abdullah up. Whatever Washma said to her was true but it did not shock Mansoora at all since she is already well aware of the fact that her husband cannot be trusted and that she is being fooled.
Sarwar’s scenes were really disturbing tonight. The scene in the prison especially showed his darkest side. He is getting even more dreadful and evil with every passing episode. It seems like he will eventually be the one to show his true colors to Mansoora.
Abdullah and Shanzay
There was a time when Abdullah used to compare Mahjabeen with Shanzay but now he is constantly comparing Shanzay with Mahjabeen. The phone call tonight and the way Shanzay laughed at Abdullah’s expectations should make it easier for Abdullah to make his final choice. He said that he had signed the divorce papers but we don’t know yet whether the divorce is final or not. Abdullah misses Mahjabeen and wants her in his life but there is too much pressure on him from Sarwar, Shanzay, and even his own mother to end his marriage with Mahjabeen. I really wanted Abdullah to tear down those divorce papers because it is about time that Abdullah took a stand for himself and his wife.
Until last week, there was some hope that Shanzay might be the one to bring Abdullah and Mahjabeen together in the end but after watching this episode I have no such hopes. It is ultimately going to be Mahjabeen Washma and perhaps Mahjabeen’s mother who will perhaps do something tangible to change the situation. Even after everything that has happened, Mahjabeen holds no grudge against Abdullah – in fact, she is incapable of doing that! Bilal Abbas Khan’s performance was superb once again especially when Abdullah was signing the divorce papers.
Final Remarks
After watching this episode, it took me some time to disengage myself from Abdullah and Mahjabeen’s story! Although I know only too well that this is a drama yet even right now while writing this review I feel for Mahjabeen and just want her to be happy. In my opinion that is the real success of any drama – when you can relate to the characters at such a level! The preview of the next episode was painful! I am sure I am not the only one who wants things to get better now.
Did you watch tonight’s episode of Pyar Ke Sadqay? Do share your thoughts about it.
Pakistani drama industry is filled with immensely talented actors and actresses. However, there are some actors who have attained star status and have earned such huge fandom that their name alone is enough to get the fans and drama viewers excited for any of their upcoming projects. This has a lot to do with the way these actors have approached their acting career and alongside their sheer hard work, their overall personality, and skillful acting have convinced the drama viewers that these are the celebrities whose dramas must be watched.
At times, these actors too end up making wrong choices at times because of which their fans get disappointed but these celebrities also take that as a learning curve and strive to improve. These actors believe in variation, this is the reason they are not seen doing similar kinds of roles. Strong portrayal, grip on emotions, and having substantial characters in every other drama are the few factors that make them stand out and have turned them into big celebrities of Pakistan.

Imran Abbas

It is unfortunate that Imran Abbas’s dramas are usually typical and the characters that he plays are one-dimensional but there’s no denying the fact that his association with any project is enough to sell a drama. Alizeh Shah, in a very short amount of time, this name has become a very popular and household name. People recognize and absolutely love Alizeh for her sweet innocent face and the characters she has portrayed on screen. From Ahad Raza Mir to Imran Abbas and currently Yasir Nawaz, Alizeh Shah has worked with a number of leading actors in various dramas and impressed her audience with her on screen presence.
But did you know, as good as Alizeh is as an actress, she has a beautiful voice too and can sing really well too.
Don’t believe us? Listen to Alizeh here singing a couplet from Sajjad Ali’s Har Zulm and be mesmerized. She might not know the notes as a professional singer but Alizeh Shah has a nice voice, which isn’t bad to hear at all.
Seems like nobody is safe during quarantine as well. Since people have stopped stepping out, perhaps street criminals have found an alternative to scamming people for money. The latest happens to be the online parcel delivery scam and celebrity model and make up guru, Nadia Hussain seems to have fallen prey to it.
Nadia took to her social media to raise awareness about the scam that has been going on in abundance in Pakistan these days. As it happens, the scammers use old discarded delivery boxes and receipts to dig out names and contact details of a customer and send fake parcels to their address only to receive money and vanish.
“Pls pls be vigilant of parcel seller and sender information BEFORE paying for your parcel!!!,” wrote Nadia on her Instagram sharing how she had been scammed for 4000 rupees.
“I received this parcel today with my name hand written on the flyer and since I shop very regularly online it didn’t occur to me that this could be a SCAM and so I stupidly paid RS 4250 for an item I never ordered!!!!,” wrote Nadia stating that the parcel that she had received had no seller or sender information on it whatsoever.
https://www.instagram.com/p/CCaiDAmJ_ae/
Nadia also shared that she wouldn’t hold the courier company responsible but people who had been using the flyers and boxes for such a scam. “The man who came to deliver the parcel had a package from Call Courier but didn’t have any uniform or identification that said he belonged to the company,” added Nadia.
The social media has also been abuzz with such sort of news as a reputed online shopping platform had a data hack with their important customer information being leaked. This seems to have resulted in a whole chain of scams where fake, unregistered riders, deliver a parcel, take money and leave, only for the customer to find a damaged product that is of no use.
Thanks to Nadia Hussain for using her platform to raise awareness about such dirty tricks being pulled on the public. Stay safe everyone and never receive or pay for a parcel without checking or cross checking your and the product details.
